Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We spent the afternoon picking up a few caches around Whangaparaoa. The tide was well out when we arrived, so we took a stroll around the bay and quickly found this cache (just before archiving!). TFTC!

Clean up - decided I'm to busy to keep on top of all the caches so are leaving the good ones.. Might get around to making some clever ones soon.

After completing a maintenance run on our caches in the area we headed out along to this cache. Timed the tide perfectly and a lovely wander along the waters edge. No problem with finding the cache. Thanks
Brought a couple of Western Springs College teams to the Auckland Secondary School Rogaine championships, so while they were doing their run, I sought out some checks of my own. Was at the "End of the Sanctuary" and saw that the tide was out, so wandered over for this one. The GPS was doing crazy stuff, but the cache name was enough for me to make the find. Headed back by going up the cliff, but foudn myself in someone's back garden ! That wasn't marked on my map ! TFTC.
Geocaching with 16 newbies for my silver Duke of Edinburgh Exploration.
We loved this one!!!
However it is advisable not to cut across the flats at Okoromai Bay rather then walking back around the rocks. We almost lost our boots in the mud!

Over in NZ for a family furneral next Tuesday, had to get out of the house, and this one had been on my radar for a couple of years. Every time in the past I'd tried, it rained on me. The sun was shining today, for how long????? Pam said go for it.
[;D]I do love Shakspears Park, what has been done here, excellent.[^] [^]
Found this one with sp8sm8, who caught up me at the previous cache.
Life does get easier with 3 pairs of eyes looking.
Mr sp8sm8 found it, passed the log around for signing.
All good with the cache.

Wandered along to here with sweet and sour and soon spotted the cache, not to hard to reach.

Still had a bit of time to try for this as well but I was very UNsuccessful here. Spent more than my normal allotted time searching.
Lovely day for a walk out, tide was perfect. Took longer than I thought to spot it, needed to look from a different angle!! TFTC
We were just about to leave the event "31 Days of Caching - you made it! when this notification came through. It was a quick decision to join forces with slieschke and head out for an attempt for an FTF. A quick check of the tides and off we headed. As it was just on 9.00 pm and the gates were about to close we opted to walk from the car park. We made this our 1st cache to find tonight so headed straight for GZ. We both checked some likely spots but initially missed the cache. On our second look the cache container almost jumped out at us. This was the 1st of four joint FTF's this evening with slieschke. TFTC.
FTF with rosmar!
As the 31 Days of Geocaching event was winding down a bunch of new cache notifications came out, which, probably ended up winding the event down even quicker as rosmar and I discussed tackling the new caches.
Made a quick detour home to grab my jacket and some caching shoes (I should have been more prepared!) and met up with rosmar and headed on up to Whangaparaoa. Luckily the timing of the tide couldn't have been better and we made our way aided by headlamps to GZ. Spent a little bit of time searching knowing we should be able to see it from the ground. Rosmar initially had climbed up near the cache and neither of us spotted it but after a second look a tiny bit later the cache was quickly spotted from the ground and we were rewarded to see a blank log!
Thanks!
