With uncertainty about being able to get out and about over the next few weeks, I went for a country drive to top up my find numbers for today. A quick find here. But the cache was full of water. Dried out the log enough to scratch my signature, but could do with a complete dry out. TFTC.

Found with [@Decrypter](http://coord.info/PR75QXD). We were in Yass for the afternoon and we decided to go for a few caches. D had missed this one on a previous visit so we decided to start here. We parked and walked to GZ and spotted the cache as it was in the open. After signing the log we looked around a bit to find some camo to cover the cache. Then we headed off for another find. TFTC.

Easy to find. Thanks

Back out again to finish off those of the trail I didn't manage yesterday, and a few others in and around the area for good measure. With just on one week of leave left before returning to ‘w’, better continue to make the most of it.

It was another great day outside, love this Winter weather. Found 45 from 46, but the one that was not to be, as with a few others that I did manage to find had already been archived. Bonus!

Apologies for the cut and paste, anything of note added at the end of log.

All found without issue and in condition. TNLNSL TFTC

With Dino out in Yass for a soccer game. We made the best out of the long trip and found a lot of caches all over Yass today. Since this was virgin territory for us there are still lots more waiting though for next time Smile.

Quick find, all in good order, if it is meant to be on the ground?

Thank you team.wallace for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Taking into account the cache name, we were surprised to find the cache uncovered and in an ants nest position. So, thinking it must have been dislodged we replaced it back where we thought and where it has a bit more natural camo. TFTC team.wallace.

Open carefully, full of ants! On our way to Queanbeyan Mega, caching along the way. Staying close by decided to grab a couple of caches. Log may be stamped Coongoola or small logs signed CG. SL

Our gps said it was in the paddock. I was skeptical and searched the obvious tree with no luck. While looking at the paddock and considering how to navigate the fence I saw what I assumed was the cache sitting on the ground out in the open. I signed the log and placed at the base of the nearest tree. Can owner please check it is where it should be. Tftc

I had rather a sleepless night when I realised that I still needed over 100 caches to reach my milestone in time for the Alexandra Event, despite having had such a great weekend.

What to do? Where to go to grab as many caches as possible knowing we were having friends join us for the night? Yass was the answer as I had not found many out there and there are lots of new caches.
It turned out to be a lovely day. Although the weather was cool to start, by lunchtime it was quite warm. I was really impressed with the variety of cache hides, containers and locations. I enjoyed discovering parts of Yass that I didn't know existed. On previous occasions it has been a case of travelling through the town - before the by pass obviously and now I rarely go in at all.

Thank you to all COs for placing and maintaining these caches for us all to enjoy.

Cache 2666 on 29/7/17

Headed out with DarksideDan for a few caches in Yass on a frosty Saturday morning. 6 hours later we had gorgeous warm weather, 40 caches under our belts and a fabulous lunch at the cafe in town. A great morning out getting some numbers with lots of laughs and a few interesting bird sightings on the way. Unless otherwise stated, caches found quickly and in good order.

Not really a micro is it! Macro would be a better description. DSD dropped a TB here.

Thanks team.wallace for the cache!

Can you say road trip. Today I headed out with AG27 to go on a caching road trip to Yass. Together we collected 40 caches. I took some excellent photos and had a stunning lunch. Thanks heaps for the cache.

Suscoe and Phetlern were out and about for our last day of caching in the Yass area.
The day started cool and a little cloudy, but it was fine until the last cache was found and then a thunder storm rolled across from the western hills. Great timing we reckoned.
A really pleasant day of town and nearby caching with a good mixture of hides and fun on the way around the roads.
Thanks to team.wallace, a quick find, just sitting quietly on the ground in full view.
So popped it back at the nearest tree base.
Maybe it needs a check by you as Suscoe was unsure of where it belonged.

A day of caching with dty73 had us heading to Yass today. Despite a cold and very foggy morning start to the day, it turned out to be a beautiful sunny and even warm day with all caches found. A variety of very different caches awaited us, some a little more challenging than others, and a few quite spectacular locations as well.

Nice location with good views, with the blue skies and sunny day made even nicer. Not quite sure how we walked around this and missed it but there it was! Thanks for the cache team.wallace!

26-May-17
Aquilus1 and I decided that as we both had a couple of hours to spare, we would head to Yass!

My iPhone had me at one tree and as Aquilus1 was looking at me she saw the cache over my shoulder in another tree. How could we have missed that! Too busy looking at my phone obviously. TFTC team.wallace!!!

Found at 12:18 PM GAFF1.
The name gave us a bit of a clue as to what level to look at, but then the Terrain of just 1.5 meant that it was easily accessible. Well guess what - c-pprass had no hope of getting it and I reckon a lot of others wouldn't be able to reach it either.
We looked over the oval from our vantage point and thought - this scene looks lovely.
Thanks team.wallace.
Feedback: This cache should be at least a T of 2.0 in our opinion.

Team Lewin headed from goulburn to canberra to visit questacon for the little geokid today. Our plans were do a couple in canberra before venturing off to yass for a few hour while the little one slept and we took turns at grabbing those smiley faces we all love so much. Had a great afternoon with most of the caches attempted being found , only a couple of DNFS and was due to nearby muggles or the cache simply not there (thats what we believe anyway!).

As usual yass turned up the goods and look forward to coming back for the many more caches we left for future trips.

"nice and easy. loving these micro caches around yass Smile"

After arriving at our overnight camp this morning we headed out to find the caches in the area.
Following the caching trail it was like doing a tiki tour of your area. It certainly a good way to see the countryside.
Nice to find a new container & log book. The cachers before us seemed to have had a bad experiance with this one.
Lots of sparkle inside.
Thanks for placing this cache team.wallace

We will remove container and replace with a more sustainable and skin friendly one. Thanks for alerting us to this.

22-Feb-16
Visited this cache with LuckyL10n, our logs to follow and the catepillars are a problem. It is infested with them and they are not friendly. The caterpillar hair causes major irritation and dermatological issues to skin. We had minor exposure but even with that we were scratching and I had a number of places where my skin started a small rash. The hair is fine and very easy to penetrate skin and be moved to other parts of the body. Going into eyes can be a major issue. The cache has also got cocooning and huge amount of caterpillar droppings at the bottom. Unfortunately I think either ask council to clean it up because reading about these they may be considered a pest or be very careful on your approach to handling these caterpillars. There appears to be already loose hair in the nest as well so can disperse even easier. Be warned to other cachers. You could be allergic and then the problem could be a lot worse.

#3987 - 17:45; I needed to pick up an item from the little bakery near Collector, so organized with MrDamage to do a caching run through the area to the north of the ACT to collect a few recently published caches and visit some new areas as well. We were now well under way having visited Collector, Gunning and Dalton and we were now past half way on the caches in and around Yass on the 'still to do' list and almost on our way back out of town. I had DNFd this cache on my previous attempt on a wet and cold day, where I later discovered I had been huntiong in the wrong spot for the wrong thing. No such problems today, although the cache was infested with caterpillars, which look to have been the likely source of some severe itches for MrD and I. Other than that, the log was signed and returned to its hairy home (See photo on MrD's log Wink). TFTC team.wallace Smile

21-Feb-16
Found 5:46 pm with LuckyL10n. We were out on a caching run, with LuckyL10n on a mission to do 50ish caches. This one was on the to do list. Stopped the geomobile nearby and off we went for the walk. The cache was not difficult to find. Upon opening it we discovered and mass of caterpillar life and some partially cocooning. We tentatively extracted the log and the bag containing lots of goodies for girls. The log was signed and we then tentatively returned both items to the cache. I took the enclosed photo. Afterwards we found ourselves becoming itchy in a few locations and the more you touched yourself elsewhere the more the problem spread. It was about 2 days later for me that the irritated spots had stopped being a rash. Afterwards on the day I looked up details on why we were so irritated from just barely coming into contact that I discovered we were lucky and it could've been a lot worse.
Anyway nice cache otherwise and girls would like this cache.
Thanks for the cache.

Have now removed hint. It was appropriate for a previous hide but i didnt realise we hadnt changed it. Have also closed the entry to stop a bird getting in it. Fixed our other bird house but forgot this one. Thanks for the heads up!

24-Jan-16
It was nice to finally replace a frown with a smile for this cache. It was missing last time. The hint "look down" makes no sense with the present hide, because if you "look down" you will not find it. I hope a bird doesn't try to nest here, as the poor creature is likely to have its nest and eggs destroyed by cachers accessing it. If the CO doesn't want to see this happen, the hide needs the bird entrance blocked. Lots of activity today on the nearby sports oval. TFTC team.wallace.

Continuing on our hunt for more caches Joelisa and I travelled into Yass to try to clean up that town for the rest of the day. Big geo-guardian had made it's home in this container. Being the man I am I got Joelisa to extract the cache container. Might want to clean it up a bit. TFTC

#1568 9 of 49 today.

Spent the day out at Yass with mtrax, B737 & JetFuselage. The recent proliferation of caches there meant it was well worth a visit. We shall have to return to grab the rest. It was warm; 36C warm. For the most part we just drove around Yass grabbing drive-by caches, but for some others there was a bit of walking and the heat was oppressive at times. On the positive side, this also meant a lack of muggles out and about. There was just the one spot we couldn't access due to muggles and that was a boat ramp, so no surprises there. On the whole, a great day's caching.

Nice to see a bit of effort in cache construction. It was full of spinning caterpillars however.

Thanks for the cache team.wallace.

Drove up early from Canberra and spent 8 hours around Yass seeking out caches. A great day found 44 caches, 2 trackables, $2.00 and a mobile phone. Walked around and into some magnificent historic buildings, visited some nice parts of the Yass River that I never new existed and had some great views.

I actually found two caches here, one in a grey plastic tape covered tin was on the ground, the log book in this was sodden and could not be written on. Signed the other log at the birds nest and put the sodden one with it. TFTC.

The excitement of a recent finder’s log about a unique container, had us expecting something a bit more than what we found. Also the second similar cache today so quick find.

05-Aug-15
Headed out for a days caching in the Yass - Bookham area with Mizmaz. In particular we wanted to do the Endangered Species powertrail. What we didn't plan for was the not-so friendly weather conditions that greeted us. The wind and rain didn't stop all day and for most of the day it was no more than 4 deg, but we certainly had fun.

Had spotted a similar one of these earlier in the day. No native creatures at home but plenty of spiders.
This cache is one of the 163 we found today. Thanks for contributing to an enjoyable day.
