A mission to Yass to top up my find numbers for the day. Nothing found here, although given the previous DNFs I did not do a thorough search.

Back out again to finish off those of the trail I didn't manage yesterday, and a few others in and around the area for good measure. With just on one week of leave left before returning to ‘w’, better continue to make the most of it.
It was another great day outside, love this Winter weather. Found 45 from 46, but the one that was not to be, as with a few others that I did manage to find had already been archived. Bonus!
Apologies for the cut and paste, anything of note added at the end of log.
All found without issue and in condition. TNLNSL TFTC

As we are camping in Yass for a short time, we thought we would pick up a few caches around the district with ilook4geo. It has been a very cold day with a gale force icy blast coming straight from the Antarctic region, so we cut the caching run short, being more interested in thawing out and hibernating.
Each cache we found had initials added to the log and was replaced hurriedly so we could get back to the car and out of the wind. This cache was a bit elusive until a tiny bit of it was spotted. Thank you to team.wallace for this cache placement.

Out on a cache hunting day with goingplaces2 and it was a v-e-r-y cold and windy day. We found enough to make the day worthwhile before heading back to camp to warm up again. Each log signed, all replaced. TFTC.
Out for a Saturday driving lesson and caching session. Yass is our point of call for today. Found this cache easily as the mint tin was slightly exposed. TFTC
Took a bit of a while to spot this but, for us, the coords were quite accurate once there. Managed to avoid the golf balls and TFTC team.wallace
Coords a bit out. Found with Smittengranny and Gliss! venturing up this way to pick up caches in the area. Beautiful day to be out and about and probably the last good weather for awhile. TFTC
With Dino out in Yass for a soccer game. We made the best out of the long trip and found a lot of caches all over Yass today. Since this was virgin territory for us there are still lots more waiting though for next time .
This took me a few minutes as it is an inconspicuous hide.
Quick find, nice cache, all in good order.
Thank you team.wallace for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

After seeing logs from new cachers I had to check if I was blind or not. I was.
Today after 5 minutes the cache was in hand. Thanks to those newer cachers who gave us faith to go forth and find.
Slowly making our way north again after the Clear Waters Mega in Queanbeyan.
Passing through this lovely town and decided to grab a few caches here.
Thanks for placing this cache team.wallace . We visited this cache at 1:38 p.m..

So close to calling this a DNF. About to give up when MrG started scratching around in a place we hadn't looked and found an eclipse tin. The log was in great condition but the last entry was 3/11/16. This must be an old cache but who knows where the one is that everyone else is signing.... TFTC team.wallace.
This is one cache that we have often missed due to it being inactive on our previous visits to Yass. No problems today - a very quick find. Thanks team.wallace.
Day seven of our quick trip north. BettyBoo3747 and I spent today travelling from Lorne to Yass. Not a lot of caches, just a few on the highway, the a quick half dozen after dinner in Yass.
We went to the local Vietnamese restaurant for dinner, and then decided on a few caches before retiring.
It was still light when we did this one.
Thanks, Robmc.

#15051. A big day driving south from Lorne, NSW to Yass. We had hoped to stay in Goulburn but the entire town was booked out, as was much of the surrounding area. A huge horse event and a holy retreat meant no accommodation for miles.
A tiring drive with only 2 finds and 2 DNF's until we reached Yass. After dinner we rushed around in the dark and gathered a few more.
We both thought this corner was very familiar when we arrived - we must have searched here once before. Anyhow, this evening it was a very quick find to our delight. Added our names and continued on to visit the Shark.
Thanks team.wallace

Took longer than it should have! Don't you hate it when everyone says quick find and you stand there saying where.! TFTC
Good hide. Found after finding the shark. The golf course looks so nice I wish I played, but I would rather be caching

We had to postpone the search for this cache last Friday as the area was swarming with school kids. Nice quick find today.

I had rather a sleepless night when I realised that I still needed over 100 caches to reach my milestone despite having had such a great weekend. What to do? Where to go to grab as many caches as possible knowing we were having friends join us for the night? Yass was the answer as I had not found many out there and there are lots of new caches.
It turned out to be a lovely day. Although the weather was cool to start, by lunchtime it was quite warm. I was really impressed with the variety of cache hides, containers and locations. I enjoyed the day and thank you to all COs for placing and maintaining these caches for us all to enjoy.
Cache 2667 on 29/7/17
Headed out with DarksideDan for a few caches in Yass on a frosty Saturday morning. 6 hours later we had gorgeous warm weather, 40 caches under our belts and a fabulous lunch at the cafe in town. A great morning out getting some numbers with lots of laughs and a few interesting bird sightings on the way. Unless otherwise stated, caches found quickly and in good order.
DSD dropped a TB here.
Thanks team.wallace for the cache!

Can you say road trip. Today I headed out with AG27 to go on a caching road trip to Yass. Together we collected 40 caches. I took some excellent photos and had a stunning lunch. Thanks heaps for the cache.
On the way to 8000 finds... only about 300 to go!
I went on a recreational caving weekend in Wee Jasper with my bushwalking club this weekend. Only I didn't arrive at the campground untill 11 at night! A very cold weekend, survived mainly by my nice and warm -12 degree sleeping bag, and spending most of the time underground. We didn't exit the last cave exploration until 2pm Sunday, so after we showered and packed up camp I didn't get around go caching until 3pm!
But there have been quite a few new caches published around Yass since I was there last, and a couple of older ones that I DNFed previously, I had a lot to look for before it got too dark and the rain started to fall down.
In the end I managed to find 25 today and reach a total of 7707 finds.
Thanks for all the caches!

*Our last day in Yass, in the good company of Suscoe, we concentrated on finding caches within a 5 km radius of the town. That still set us quite a high target for the day. Just as the rain started, we signed our final log - 44/44 smiley tokens!!*
Meet a couple of ladies exercising their very small dogs - quick find by MrS..
Thanks team.wallace for placing caches, for everyone's enjoyment.

Suscoe and Phetlern were out and about for our last day of caching in the Yass area.
The day started cool and a little cloudy, but it was fine until the last cache was found and then a thunder storm rolled across from the western hills. Great timing we reckoned.
A really pleasant day of town and nearby caching with a good mixture of hides and fun on the way around the roads.
Thanks to team.wallace, the cache is in far better condition than tiger is.

A day of caching with dty73 had us heading to Yass today. Despite a cold and very foggy morning start to the day, it turned out to be a beautiful sunny and even warm day with all caches found. A variety of very different caches awaited us, some a little more challenging than others, and a few quite spectacular locations as well.
Even with the GPSs compass all over the place no problems with this find as it was a quick find spotting it on the way walking towards it. Thanks for the cache team.wallace!

I love a good golf themed cache grabbed this one whilst out with Krispystrips tftc
It had been a few months since we had headed down the Hume to Yass. Today we decided to have another trip at trying to eliminate some of the cache we had outstanding in Yass.
Everytime we do caching in Yass we seem to be limited timewise for whatever reason so it may take a few more trips before we can finally achieve our goal of having conquered the cachea here.
Finally good to get this one as we had a previous dnf due to muggles earlier this year. Thanks.

Found at 11:56 AM GAFF1.
Finally - we found a cache after 2 DNF's [^] It got a bit frustrating back there let me tell you [B)]

Greetings from WA. Time for a few local caches, so spent a couple of hours in the morning walking around your lovely town and adding to the holiday total. Easy find right in your face, not the norm.

This is our sixth cache for the morning on a quick stop in Yass as we pass through.
Luckily we were reasonably early as this could get quite busy later in the day.

Cache is extremely easy to spot from a distance!! It has lasted here for ages though it seems like so must blend in from muggles prying eyes.
A quick find anyway, we decided to walk over from JOP along the paved path for some exercise. TFTC

#3986 - 17:40; I needed to pick up an item from the little bakery near Collector, so organized with MrDamage to do a caching run through the area to the north of the ACT to collect a few recently published caches and visit some new areas as well. We were now well under way having visited Collector, Gunning and Dalton and we were now past half way on the caches in and around Yass on the 'still to do' list and almost on our way back out of town. Not sure what it is with golfers and animal nicknames, although Bubba Watson probably asks that question too. Managed to avoid any traffic on the nearby fairways as we sauntered over for a quick find and sign. TFTC team.wallace
Found 5:40 pm with LuckyL10n. We were out on a caching run, with LuckyL10n on a mission to do 50ish caches. This one was on the to do list. Stopped the geomobile nearby and headed over to GZ to look for it. It was a quick find and we soon after had the log signed and the cache replaced.
Thanks for the cache.

#1565 6 of 49 today.
Spent the day out at Yass with mtrax, B737 & JetFuselage. The recent proliferation of caches there meant it was well worth a visit. We shall have to return to grab the rest. It was warm; 36C warm. For the most part we just drove around Yass grabbing drive-by caches, but for some others there was a bit of walking and the heat was oppressive at times. On the positive side, this also meant a lack of muggles out and about. There was just the one spot we couldn't access due to muggles and that was a boat ramp, so no surprises there. On the whole, a great day's caching.
Jetfuselage showed us this one. No spiders.
Thanks for the cache team.wallace.
