Snared this cache on the way back from the gorge. The shortcut up this hill worked out well as I could see the car and didn’t need to return to the track.

Pretty random spot! Parked at the top and walked the last 100 or so metres, all good here.
Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

Stopping in Nanango for a couple of days as we bimble around before we head back to Ipswich. Another lovely winters day, with fantastic caches!
Container was broken here so we replaced it. All good now.

The grass here is very long now there's been some rain but we safely made it to GZ.
The cache was easily spotted though it's been made home by a bunch of ants. The logbook is still safe though so we signed the log ok.

Wombles and I certainly earned our smiley for this cache. It’s a bit wild and woolly getting to GZ, thankfully no nope ropes were spotted on our adventure. It didn’t take long once at the location to uncover the well hidden beasty along with a family of ants and their eggs. A bit of a shake and we moved the cache guardians along. With scribble left on the log the container was replaced for the tiny critters to rebuild. Just a note the container does have a hole in one of its corners, it may need replacing some time soon. Sorry we didn’t have anything on us to help.
Thanks for the cache youngoldfella

I was planning a group bike ride circuit to ride through Old Coach Road and on checking out geocaches along the way I could not help but notice a few newer listings from Albyalbatross&Nicole . Now I know how good the quality of offerings has been in the past from the old master Albyalbatross so I could not resist by to do an advance ride into the area just to get the geocaches, especially given this cache is bit off the loop ride trail we have planned.
After the mandatory pre ride coffee and cake at Blackbutt Bakery 2 of us set off to ride through to Seven Mile Diggings picking up caches along the way and then head for this location.
We collected all of the caches in the Nanango side entry to Seven Mile Diggings and then started on our way through the Diggings trails to collect this one on the way. Now the fun begins and wow it is well worth exploring further along these trails.

Another old stomping ground. We got a little gold out of here long ago when creeks always had running water before it dried up.
Heading up to Kilkivan to attend the annual event, which we've become quite find of over the last few years.
Instead of taking the boring highway route, we're heading out through Nanango and stopping here and there to make some finds along the way of ones we've missed previously or that have been published since our last visit.
Quick find before turning around and heading back to town.

Log for Rock On signed at 08:38 and cache returned as found. Thanks for the smilie and bringing us here **youngoldfella**. This log is trackable, mention where you saw it.

Parked up on what looked like common land and walked over to GZ, unfortunately I could see the cache before I even got there. Signed the log and returned it with a little more camo to keep it safe. Stopped and had some lunch out of the back of Tuna before continuing our journey. TFTC youngoldfella
Out caching with the Tough Mothers (Jemillalucy, Bennyboppers and Lisylou). TFTC!
Found after a short walk down from the intersection. Again the hint helped. TFTC.
Nice to get out and walk a bit to find this one. Easy find once at GZ. TFTC
Out and about in the area finding a few caches before meeting up with some friends at lunch time in Yarraman.

After being idle and tied up with household chores over the last few weeks, It didn't take to much prodding to decide a mini road trip was in order.
After consulting the trusty map decided that a little adventure North through Yarraman, Narango and Kingaroy. And because youngoldfella places his caches along some great country roads the marjority of attempts would be on his caches, With a few others thrown in for good measure Nice cache thanks for bringing me here and for the adventure.
Thanks for the great cache and adventure youngoldfella

Day 2 collecting smiles around Nanango/Kingaroy.
After a few dramas with the Geo-beast, flat tyres & such, we were soon on the road looking for adventure.
3 of 31 found today.
We love these caches that bring us to locations in quiet country areas.
Imagine our surprise when we arrived near GZ, nice & early, to find a couple of muggles way out here, collecting rocks!(not sure that's legal anymore? LOL ...)
A short walk to GZ (luckily we were just out of sight of the muggles) & the cache was soon in hand.
Signed & replaced as found.

We did this some late in the day and so enjoyed the serenity and beauty of the countryside. Great cache. Thanks to youngoldfella for its placement and adding to our enjoyment of this location.
Out gathering a few more smilies that we have missed on previous occasions. Thanks youngoldfella.
Captain Terror and I were in Nanango for the weekend. We came for the event and we stayed for the wonderful caches and delicious breakfasts at the bakery. This was the 22nd cache for me today. We had finished at the event and we had been for a bush bash, then we headed back to the tent and after 10 minutes of relaxing we decided to head out again to find a few more caches. Who knows why?
We headed up towards this cache and parked the car near the 'no cars allowed past here' sign. We headed down on foot and soon were at GZ. We found the cache without much hassle and soon the logbook had two more names in it. Thanks for the cache youngoldfella.

After all the excitement of Nanango's First Event, then going for a lengthy bush bash near Tarong, Net88 and I were back at the campsite chilling out with a few hours of daylight to spare. Feeling like this was a bit of a waste of time, we decided to go for a bit of a drive.
I had intended to hide a geocache this trip and had spied McCauley Weir on the map. Looks perfect! Although some research showed getting there was not a thing that was going to happen anytime soon. I'd still go for a look and see how close we could get though. The two of us then hopped into the car and headed down the road.
As it turned out, our campgrounds was on the same road as this geocache and after coming to the gate on McCauley Weir Rd, came over to the Seven Mile Diggings area instead for a couple of late afternoon, half sleepy finds.
The Subaru had us safely down the grassy slope but still on the 'cars allowed' side of the sign and with no people nor cows to be seen, we embarked on the fifty metres trot down towards GZ. Once there we made a quick find but bending down to grab it all of a sudden seemed like a lot of effort.
Our names eventually wound up in the logbook and the whole container replaced as found. Seems a nice bonus to a little afternoon drive. Thanks for this geocache youngoldfella

This was one of the last caches for the day, A short stroll over and we soon spotted it.
Keith from Sweet _Sour came by our home last night and left a container he advised had been handed to him. On inspection I realised it was the original container that had gone missing some time ago. Went out to check and the replacement is still in place and Sweet__Sour's name in the log book.
Thanks Keith for bringing the original container back. I have included the original log book with the replacement log book.

On a trip to Nanango via the Brisbane River Valley, Western Branch to place some caches for the Nanango Event in 6 weeks, just couldn't pass these without a look see.
An easy find @ 1345, had a couple of caches to place around here.
I did notice the replacement container, and log, you will be pleased that I found the muggle that took the old cache, a local young fella that likes wandering around the bush noticing things out of place. He was very apologetic about taking the cache and the delay in returning it.
I hope to see them again at the event in 6 weeks time.
You will find the cache at home when you return from NZ.
All with the cache

Went out and replaced the container with a slightly larger one and provided more cover to the pile as tis area is very popular at the moment as evidenced by the fire pit close to the track.
Out in the area looking at the countryside.
Searched for quite a while on this one as there were rocks everywhere.

After a month of no caching we (Firebreather03, muggle husband and I) decided to take advantage of the perfect winter weather and head north for the day. I walked straight passed this one with Firebreather03 questioning what I was doing I turned around to see him with it! Oh well, another find. TFTC youngoldfella
Fun trekking through the bush to find this one. Passed a dead cow's skull which intrigued the kids.
The lid of this container does not screw up properly but everything inside is still dry and safe.
Great fun out this morning. Tftc

I am conducting an experiment and the only way I can do this with my own caches is this way. There are not the number of other hiders caches within 200kml radius of my home. The experiment will run from 24/12 till after Easter 2014 and it will involve in part having to find some of my own caches as I do not want to drive over 300klms every week to get the result I am looking for. I am also using a different GPSr to that used to set up these hides. Now using my brand new Magellan 710. Experiment not going as well as I was expecting. I do realise that it is frowned upon to find your own caches but sometimes one just has to let any comments come and go.
