I’m sorry to say I have to archive this cache due to a crashed wall. I was passing today and saw a slightly demolished wall, so I stopped and checked this cache and I can no longer leave it there. Thank you to all who visited this spot.

On the way home from working up at Toolern Vale and decided Melton looks like a good spot to top up my daily caching tally.
Found this sneaky little fella after a thorough search of the wall and managed to not pull anything apart.

Out for an evening with 450dan and this was our 2nd stop.
This was my second attempt at this cache and I was glad to get a happy face.

Unable to find, app doesn’t show wether it’s been found recently or any hints, was my first attempt at a “premium” cache, disappointing.
Feeling very out in the open as muggles drove by during afternoon peak hour. TFTC
Meandering in a generally westward direction with many detours to find a cache or so. I like the way they have used the concept of the many miles of drystone walls in the area as an entrance but here stuck together with concrete. Clever hide TFTC The 2 Wanderers
2nd time I have looked for this cache, but with the help from my granddaughter found it, nice cache.
After reading the logs I thought I was in for a tough time. However the strong bright torch even in daylight made the search much more easier.
Thank you for this geocache

Great to get a smilie here today. Had a quick visit before but today was the day.
A short search and bingo. Nice hide.

Took a little bit to find it but eventually we got there after checking all the possible hiding spots.
I pulled up, walked over and luckily located the cache quite quickly. Thanks T2W.
Found it! Nice and small, was a good spot, nice hike for me and my bubba in the pram we have signed the logbook and placed back!
**Find #1339**
Looked all over the wall twice then 3rd look found the sneaky blighter. Well done.

Needed a few caches to round out the months' finds, so I headed out along the Melton Highway.
A nice cool day for a few caches, although the road was busier than I thought it would be.
Not sure that the original sections of Dry Stone wall had quite so much concrete, but it sure cut down the number of possible hiding places
Thanks, Robmc.

Found it ok, getting it out was another story! Eventually retrieved with the help of a stick. This was a cool little hide. Tftc

After a quick drop in to Intervening Days IX event a quick stop and grab here on the way home. Turned out not to be so quick as I started in the wrong spot and worked my way around the whole wall before I found the cache. Not just the last place I looked, but pretty much the last place left to look.
After signing the log and replacing the cache I walked back across the road to where I'd parked my motor bike. While I was getting organised to get going again a young bloke in a 4x4 pulled up and asked it I was OK. Nice to know there are still some people around who'll stop if they think you might be in trouble.
The cache is in good condition.

Had a day off today and decided to get some caches around Melton. While i was looking for this one the lawn mower man drove up, I resorted to the old taking photos of a wall until he left then had the cache in hand quick enough. TFTC
On our trip to Melton we decided to take my grandparents! 3 boys were excited to take their great grandparents geocaching! Thanks
have had this hide on my watch list for way too long and I was in Melton today to find some others and nothing parked at parking area, so made a quick find, signed and replaced Thanks The 2 Wanderers, for this and your other hides which will give me fun and exercise while locating
While I fiddling around with the pliers and holes, Brianna.92 pulls it out of its hiding place and yells found it.
What a great hide!! took a few minutes to find this cache after a few laughs and giggles and trying to not look suss to drive biers. Found this cache along with Lizard1983. Was a quick and easy find, Thank you
came here to do some maintenance for you, as we knew you were otherwise occupied, but someone had beaten us to it. Nice to see your caches are being looked after.
Thanks for the cache 2 Wanderers I picked this one up on my way home from Brimbank park where Gemma Sistema and I had been doing a spot of Munzeeing and caching.
Almost gave up on this one. Few empty drilled holes thought it may have been taken. Alas we found it!
I had to go to the pool shop today, so I took the loooooooong way around to ensure I could collect a few caches on the way. I love the history and resourceful of the beautiful dry stone walls, and I've driven past this mini example many many times over the years. Had a brief once over of the wall, then a closer inspection, and was pleased to lay eyes upon it quite quickly. Retrieving it was a little tricky but all ok and replaced as found. TFTC

I was getting my car serviced in Melton today and like last time, I took the opportunity to find a few of the local caches. The weather was as good as last time with drizzle most of the morning, but I was determined to find all the DNF's from last trip!
This was the first cache of the day and I checked the weather radar just before leaving the warmth of the waiting room at the service centre. The rain seemed to be clearing when I left, but it was still drizzling when I got to GZ which complicated my search a bit. After a few initial false starts I checked out the previous few logs and saw something which narrowed the search area. I soon discovered the sneaky little cache and had my name on the log. TFTC!

This was day 40 of our trip out of Sydney to visit the southern states of Victoria and Tasmania.
We decided today to pick up just a couple of caches here and there to fill in some more of the local council areas where we have not cached in Victoria yet.
We parked nearby and walked across towards GZ and found a very familiar kind of container. It did however take a bit of careful looking to spot this one. After the log had been signed the cache was replaced as found. Thank you for bringing us to this area and placing this cache for us and others to find.

Natural caching stealthyness had me searching the wrong side of the wall at first. Remedied that and had cache in hand in no time.

TFTC-Another day spent with Hans and Linda .Today we found 37 caches today and didn't have one DNF we did all of the RRR and TSS trails on Melton highway and Ryan road .
TFTC. We had decided to stay in Hillside with team Stacie&Mitch for another night with the intention of completing the RRR trail and then because we were close the TSS trail. This morning with two thirds of team Stacie&Mitch (two grand children ) we set of for a day of quality time with number 1 grand daughter and number 3 grandson.
This was our last one before heading home. Granddaughter spotted it and struggled to retrieve the cache from its hiding spot. Her fingers were nimbler than the grand parents.

After attending the intervening event I was wanting to stretch the legs. It always good to check out different areas and having done the walk along the creek, Mr X picked me up to check out some drive byes in the area. While he parked the beast nearby and made the find. It was getting it out that took longer. Thanks for the cache The 2 Wanderers.
After attending the Intervening Days VIII event nearby, this was our first stop to put a few more smileys on the map while we were in the area. Whatepaws9 was already searching when we arrived, so the 3 of us got busy looking. With the help of a hint called out by a passing cacher we soon had the cache in hand and the log signed. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
This took ages. ! I contemplated riding back to the event for a hint, but instead I did all the other caches around and returned to this with a fresher mind. I examined a lot of nooks and crannies and finally something caught my eye. Grabbing my pocket knife I used pliers to retrieve the cache and a stick to extract the log. Once found it can't be unseen and looks so obvious thanks for the fun
This was a quick find, well not by me, I was looking on the wrong side of the wall,
Geo-wife soon had this one found, but as soon as we had the log signed and returned,
Three cars turned up with more cachers.
Thanks 2 Wanderers

Find No. 1097. Found with FUF009 at 4.27pm
Down in Melton for an afternoon Birthday Party. As we were a bit early we decided to go hunt down a cache that should be quick to find. No so. Looking around when another team pulled up thinking that they had a quick find as well. As time was getting on and we had to be at the party we had to walk away not finding it.
At the party Mrs Tyred n Cranky just couldn't resist asking the CO for a hint. After all we had come along way and didn't want to go home with a DNF.
After the party and before heading home it was back out here to have another look and this time we were able to add another smilie to our tally.
TFTC The 2 Wanderers, an easy but very sneaky hide.

No luck for me either I'm afraid. Was in the area and checked out the odd structure but couldn't make the find this time. Thanks anyway.
Thought we'd get this on the way to Ballarat but we were wrong. Gave up and headed off.
Went back for my 4th search for this sneaky hide after getting a heads up from the CO and found it almost straight away just looking at the wall and as always once ya found it you wonder why you didn't find it on the first hunt . Thanks The 2 Wanderers .
Tftc out in a different environment on a new hunt. Out with elkins88 showing me the area.
2nd time and found it. I picked up and returned as many rocks as I could, but cachers seem to be having a destructive effect upon this well thought historic reference. T4TC
Found at 4pm after a couple of minutes looking. My understanding of a dry stone wall is that they are made without mortar, so technically this sample is not a dry stone wall. Nevertheless it was a good spot for a cache.
thanks The 2 Wanderers
thanks The 2 Wanderers
Found, the wall is being torn apart by cachers, I don't think it's a suitable hiding spot.

Today was our last one for the day before we went to the movies to see minions with a friend. We had to fight with a couple of decoys!!! It is in between knee height and hip for people who are 1.40-1.60. Good luck finding it!!! TFTC

After completing the Killarney Lakes series, this was the next on out list of caches to find and an easy cahe it was too. We love the old Dry Stone Walls, especially the ones on the Hamilton Highway near Mt Elephant.
We logged this cache easily, before having lunch in town.

Heading to Melbourne this morning from Ballarat I decided to quickly grab a few caches on the way. Like previous finder I couldn't see cache and didn't want to touch the wall. Knowing the CO I rang them to ask where cache was. It had a rock in front of it. This was removed and cache logged and rock is now longer obscuring cache as it is intended. There was only one spot on the log left when I was done and since it has been found since I think log will need replacing (sorry didn't have a spare). Many thanks for the cache
No luck and i noticed the instructions about not pulling out rocks but there seemed to be some dismantling going on so will come back another time and look again in cooler weather....
Spent the day in Melbourne with tmann421 while waiting for a flight back home.
Collected a few of the local caches and admired the views while in the area.
I looked on one side and tmann looked on the other. Then we swapped and tmann found straight away
