I am going to archive this one because of the trouble we seem to be having with complaints about the area having rubbish and an odd syringe. Sorry for the inconvenience but it is very hard to keep an area clean when the public disrespect it. I feel it is better and safer to disable it now that syringes a being sighted there.
Today I went out and cleaned out all the caches I haven't done around the Melton area. I remember when this use to be the entrance to the freeway unfortunately it looks a bit like a dumping ground now. Also there was a huge cockroach on the cache that scared me. At least thats another one down.
Found by Team Ninja 11/08/16, find number 894.
This was the only find for the day after getting the car repaired at Melton. It was just a quick fix so I detoured past this cache on my way home.
I was quite careful where I stepped after the previous report of syringes in the area, despite some other unsavoury rubbish being spotted none were seen!
The cache was quickly located and log signed. I can see why the area is used for learner drivers, nice wide stretch of road with no traffic!
TNLNSL, TFTC!

I didn't realise this was part of the old Keilor Melton Rd. No wonder it took hours to drive here from Fitzroy in the 80's! TFTC
Quickly found while our way to the son's place.
Signed and replaced. TFTC.

I found this ages ago with my son. Not sure why it wasn't log, could be problem with my recording, as I was new to the game then. Back on holiday, visiting family.
Found. Container open, no contents but given the trash in the area I'm not surprised.
Container open contents spilled all over place, left paper and a few bits from container under rock behind tree
With a public holiday what else is there to do but cache. Did this one on the way to drop some rubbish off and score some points with the wife too.
Huzzah! Found it on the third visit. Thanks for the cache The 2 Wanderers. Added 'gold' coin. TN.
Find # 2895 @ 1622 H
Found with Tyred n Cranky.
After attending the 2015 Vic Geocaching awards, we were heading home and I decided to have a look for a "easy" grab cache. being up and unused road this gave us a good chance for a cuppa and a small bite to eat, with no chance of any cars zooming past.

Find No. 1303. found with FUF009 at 4.22pm.
Heading home from the 2015 Victorian Caching Awards Event, we were approaching a roundabout when FUF009 told us to go left down the 'No Through Road' and we could grab a quick cache, so naturally down we went.
We found this a great spot to stop at as not only did we find a cache but we also took time out to have a cuppa and make a sandwhich which we could enjoy on a quiet road with no car whizzing past.
A great spot for a cache and a good size one as well,

I often wondered what was down this road now I know.

Left this yummy thing in there... was wet and a little muddy inside but all goods!!
Somebody reuined the cache so we started a new one! Not cool. We jinx the person who did this to never find a cache again!!
Did spend many hours at this place back when the road used to pass here, now have another much quicker visit to sign the log in this nice cache, thanks to The 2 Wanderers for placing and maintaining this cache
I finished work a little early today and decided to expand my map clearance from home. This was my first find for the day. The cache and log are in good condition.
TFTC!!!

Quick and easy drive by find on a nice summers morning. This one had some little cache guardians as when I opened it up a few tiny geospiders came out to greet me. Tftc.
After attending the intervening event I was wanting to stretch the legs. It always good to check out different areas and having done the walk along the creek, Mr X picked me up to check out some drive byes in the area. Talk about a road to nowhere now but you can see a piece of history here along with a hole lot of rubbish. Nice easy find. Thanks for the cache The 2 Wanderers.
We made the trip across from Cranbourne to be at Intervening Days V111 in Melton, so came a little earlier and found this cache.
First for the day is one by the Event CO as we found here on this quiet road.
Thanks for the cache and placement.

On our way to the Intervening Days event cache we had arranged to meet mcseepetal at 8.30 to knock off a few caches up the road before the event. This cache was our starting point and was a quick and easy find to get the ball rolling. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Always wondered where this road lead to when passing by ~ a cache obviously ~took beaded chain & left mini super ball ~ TFTC
Oh. My. God. Never had such a fright at a geocache before. Saw a fox crossing the Rd which was very cool, was so distracted by the cute fluffy that I wasn't watching where I was going.... next minute....THE EARTH HAS EXPLODED UNDER MY FEET IM GOING TO DIE NO ONE WILL EVER FIND MY BODY OH MY GOD....damn rabbit right under my feet!!!! I have a few extra grey hairs now....
We made a wrong turn and ended up on this road. Looked like a likely place for a cache. TFTC.
An old road and a busy road.

Did someone say MEGA[?] Did someone say Melbourne[?] Did Freddo say 'travel to the Melbourne Mega with me'[?]
Did I say 'No'[?] You bet I bloody did NOT!!!!
So today was the second day of our journey as hevwalker12, Freddo and I were headed to Melbourne for the 2015 Mega! [^]
Woohoo!!
3 DNFs and 26 finds for the day.
A quick find of the cache, the longest time was spent chasing the plastic bag which the wind blew away and then putting it back around the log book

I make a few trips back and forth from Melton so if I get a chance to try and grab some of the unfound caches each time I take a detour on the way home.
I always wondered where this road went. Now I know, nowhere. Quick find at GZ once I pulled over in the obvious place. Thanks for the cache The 2 Wanderers.

Thanks for the hide, i found it on second visit, my second cache, i often wondered what was down this road, good spot.
Found with thanks. Brought back memories of travelling this original road many times as a kid. Still remember when they opened the new part.
I don't know how many caches we have found here over the years, it might be 3!
As always it is a nice spot for a park and grab as it was deserted.
Could be a good spot for a future CITO as it has a lot of rubbish around the trees.
Thanks guys for the cache.

Heading through Melton tonight and saw this cache come up on our radar belonging to fellow caching mates so we couldn't resist a quick pull over and search and sign.
Thanks The 2 Wanderers for the hide.

This one had been opened and things scattered all over. We did the best to clean up and reinstate but log book is missing.
I used to have a cache here myself but had to disable it when i moved and couldnt maintain it... but i didnt expect this one to be in the same place, let alone the exact same place as mine was.
Thanx for the memories.
