After geowife looking for quite a while, I could see frustration on her face. So I got my lazy butt out of the car, looked around for a bit and then did the opposite of what the description says to do and found it. Still a fun cache to find. Thanks for the info on the park too.TFTC!!!
A bit soggy inside. My pen wouldn't work on the damp log. I will come back with another pen. Thanks for the cache.
TFTC youngoldfella your cache Autumn Park that we found today as we made our way south for Christmas. This was our first overnight stop. After setting up we headed for a short caching run. This was the first and we got the opportunity to rectify a blue face.Find Count: 17225 .
Thanks for the history lesson & TFTC We enjoyed this geocache location ~ Found easily, SL, Took SWAG & Left SWAG, RAF.Found with my geo-munchkins MissCharlieBear (MCB) & AmazingGracieGrace (AGG).
Staying at the nearby Showgrounds on a caravan holiday from Port Elliot in SA to Hervey Bay. Thanks for bringing us to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
Decided to grab this one after dinner one night. Added a level of fun to the find.
Found with PapaGrouch. I spent quite a while looking for this one while PapaGrouch sat in the car. When he finally came out to help I spotted it straight away. He made the retrieve and I stamped the log which he then replaced. TFTC
After riding the NAN 2 loop and exploring further into the State Forest I then cleared a few more cache in town before heading off for afternoon drinks in Blackbutt.
I looked at all the wrong objects first up.
Thanks for the hide youngoldfella

A very last minute decision sees me driving a couple of hours north to spend the day in Nanango…
A great day driving the country roads collecting a variety of caches…
I know the CO is tall… but really… a couple of turns around the mulberry bushes and I had the container in my hands…

Good hiding place. Loved the search and smell of trees too.

Spent a bit of time reading every plaque as a council worker was whipper snipping. Spotted the cache easily ( the greenery surrounding it is dieing) and waited for the appropriate moment to retrieve. TFTC
On a day trip to Nanango while staying at Wooroolin, lovely place, quick easy find tftc
Stopping in Nanango for a couple of days, no need to rush to QOGM 22. Got into the caravan park early and set off for some caches. Some caches were damp, but understandably after the amount of rain the area has had. Great containers John and easily with standing the natural elements. Only one DNF on todays adventure.

Spending a day caching around Nanango on all the roads less travelled
The blossoms are just coming out
Couldn’t help ourselves, we spotted Downing Street and went to find #10, sadly there isn’t one, but there’s a great little ‘Neighbours Park’
Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

Two TASSIES still out and about, but turned the corner and heading for home. Second day in Nanango "camped" at a rather "unusual" caravan/motorhome park to say the least ! A little sortie this morning yielded this cache, which was in the vicinity of the Nanango Muster site ..... which we were interested in having a look at. Glad this one was the size it is, as these can be very frustrating when trying to spot the smaller versions. TFTC.
Spotted quickly by Mrs SKI while I looked on the other side!
Although there was still plenty of caching to be done in Kilkivan it was time to move on as we work our way home. Today it was to Nanango, not long drive but quite interesting through the rolling hills. We cached on the way again but were more restricted on the busier road with a van in tow. We bypassed a number we were not comfortable pulling up for.
On arrival at Nanango we set up camp and then after lunch at a bakery in town took the bikes of the back and rode the bike loop caching as we went. A great way to see some of the town on cooler day.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache youngoldfella.

A lovely morning driving around the area picking up smileys and this is one we found. We parked close by GZ and after a look around we spotted it waiting to be signed. Another good hide from the CO. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks youngoldfella. This was our last cache for the day!
With Aussiemates. It's getting late on our first day. Great description for a quick find. TFTC
Nanango Blitz Weekend with Stealth Seeker.
20 minutes to wait for our pizza. Just enough time to knock over another 3 caches.
We picked a side each. SS spotted it and I reached in to grab it.

Yay a toilet just what I needed.. I had given mum the phone so she had wondered over and was looking around but was yet to make the find. I joined along side her thinking we might never find it then bam I’m like look right there. Bush’s gave me a little rash from being a little spikey but that’s what geocaching is all about. Thanks for the cache.
This was my first cache find for today on my way into town from the showgrounds.
The neighours or passing muggles must find it very amusing seeing peoples heads stuck in a bush here.
Just checking there's no invasive insects on the bark of these trees, nothing to see here.
Thanks youngoldfella for hiding a cache in this memorial park.

Day 6 of 10 – Yarraman to Nanango – Stock Route!! Cache 5. Riding our bikes from Walkuraka to Kilkivan. We settled into the Nanango showgrounds and in a break from the rain we walked down to town to grab some tea. Whilst enroute to town we grabbed two caches this being one of them. We must have looked a bit weird all 4 of us peering inside a fir trees. Backs to everyone with a wet weather jackets and pants on. Finally we read the description and cache was quickly in hand. TFTC. Can you believe we met Aussie Liahona camping at the showgrounds as well!!
My daughter's first find! We are locals who went for a post mother's Day breakfast search.
It had previously been put back much lower than the initial instructions so we have put it back in a place, more consistent with the notes in the description.
Great cache and a great story about the area. Thanks for the cache.

Our only DNF for the morning. We tried everything short of cutting the branches off. Only kidding . Too good for us this morning.
Might have been the shoulder height of Andre The Giant but we found it... great hide, thanks
On a 2 day trip to nanango from brisbane. I know I should be in Brisbane for the mega and I have serious fomo but I will be there for Sunday, Monday. I left my husband at the motel watching ago to find some more caches .
This was my last find for today and it took while to spot this sneaky cache. Thankyou for taking me here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy

Our last find of the day, made as the sun set. My youngest and I were on the way home at last from a week long roadtrip, having just picked up her friend from property at Ballogie to join us for the rest of the holidays. I had previously visited this cache with no luck, but this evening with two extra sets of eyes it was soon spotted and the log signed. How did I miss that right there? Thanks for another cache youngoldfella
I'm glad this little garden is tendered (sic) by the local gerden club. A lovely memorial to the young lads who had no control over their day of birth. Spent some time looking at the back of the trees and finally found from the front of the trees. TFTC.
I was pleased to see this little memorial is tendered (sic) by the local garden club. A fitting salute to the young lads whose only error was being born on the wrong day. Anyway, had a good look from the back as suggested and found nothing, but a quick look from the front soon had the container in hand and the log signed and replaced. TFTC, Youngoldfella.
WillPunkey, Scoob and I out to take advantage of the ability to drive further from home and abs to get out of the house and do some caching.
On our way south after the QOGM event Blackall, grabbing a few caches on the way. We visited your cache at 4:37 pm Logs signed Coongoola or CG. Thanks for placing this cache youngoldfella
Cool hide. Quick stop on the way through beautiful Nanango. Wasn’t expecting to have time to geocache today so one of the rare occasions I had no pen with me, so took a photo log instead. TFTC I love looking at all the amazing war memorials through this region. Left some treasureand a chocolaty surprise behind.
On way to Brisbane so time to visit a local and cache find. TFTC youngoldfella
I just taught My friends the Mowat tribe how geocache! Great little find whilst waiting for my daughter to finish ballet.
Just found our first every geocache, how exciting! Thanks to the gold marlins for showing us the ropes!
Nice little park, though we were hoping for a picnic table to have lunch. Thanks to description found cache quickly without damaging flora. TFTC
Had a fab adventure with Ms Maddy today and over the last few days in her efforts to reach a special milestone at the mega. Much appreciated was the hospitality of YOF and his lovely wife at the end of the day. Out this way we found some very durable caches, a small fluffy animal, some swans, cows, dogs, awesome views and rolling fields, surprisingly a lot of cars heading out on their own adventures, the best bakeries in the country ofcourse and a whole lot of laughter. I am not sure how many we picked up but it was over 50. I really appreciated the work put into the large number of caches at Nanango. I am sorry about the generic logs. and a huge Tftc
I was visiting Brisbane from Canberra for a few days and drove here to come to the show. As I walked back to my car I thought that this park would be a great place for a cache. Sure enough it was. TFTC
Today was a work trip from Brisbane to Kingaroy for some work meetings and back again. After the work meetings were done, my work colleague and caching collaborator was good enough to drive and stop to let me find a few caches along the way. All good here, found the cache exactly as per the instructions. TFTC, Biggles.
Today myself and my friends set off to Nanango from Brisbane at about 7am. The last and only time I had been here was for the first event in Nanango in 2015. Having already found I few I was excited to collect some more smiles!!
Onto the second one of the day: this one was nice! We all stopped for about 10 minutes to kick a soccer ball around. When it came to retrieving the cache my arms couldn’t reach far enough in haha. That’s why one of my long-armed friends came in handy.

Found at 3:07 PM GAFF3.
The camo blended in really well and we didn't see it at first even thought it was right in front of us about 60 cm away [:o)]
Looks like school is finished for the day as a procession of brown uniformed kids started to walk down the street.
Thanks youngoldfella.
Feedback: Better change your description - those trees have grown from "knee" height to "head" height in the last 5 yeas

Out caching for the weekend with the Tough Mother’s (Jemillalucy, Bennyboppers, and Lisylou). TFTC!
Headed North this morning for an adventure to find new caches enjoyed the hides signed log and returned container. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache. TFTC
This was our second weekend out in Nanango travelling the highways and byways searching for Hidden Creatures, finding caches and logging smileys . We dodged truckies and trailers , mud puddles and muggles and clambered over all manner of obstacles in search of the final prizes, all the while trying to keep dry in the drizzle. Thanks to all the CO’s for their efforts in making this a most enjoyable trip. TNLN TFTC .
Crew 153 and I had big plans to try and get 100 caches in a day today.
However, Crew 153's Ford Falcon had other ideas and brought us to a screeching halt at cache number 50 by blowing its fuel pump.
We were both calm and collected about it. We still got 50 caches. Car got safely towed to Kilcoy. Mr Slow Puncture came and rescued us.. and there are still more than enough caches out there for us to try again. There ends my "cut and paste" part of the log
I neared this one and checked for muggles and then made the dive. Finding the cache wasn't so much the problem - nor was getting to the log and signing it. But it took *forever* to get that lid back on. I was determined not to be one of "those cachers" and persisted till it was on properly. A solemn and nice area to visit. TFTC youngoldfella

Fangsoki and I had picked this area for a day of caching to find caches for the Hidden Creatures Souvenirs and after an early start I finally finished the day with a total of 53 finds when we struck engine trouble and had to abort the mission.
This cache was find number 47 for the day.
Luckily this cache was spotted quickly. It could have been a needle in a haystack search.

The sun is out and I have work to do, but first some play. Heading towards Kingaroy for breakfast.
Thx to excellent coords and a stellar hint the cache was soon in hand. Stayed and looked at the memorial and plaques for a few minutes. Life truly is fleeting

Today's caching hunt was brought to us courtesy of youngoldfella, with his extensive list of caches in and around Nanango. We have had another busy day selecting from the menu on offer and have had a lot of fun.
Apologies for the generic log but that's the way it has to be for us. Each found cache had our name put on its log before it was replaced as it had been found. Thanks, youngoldfella, for the variety of containers and hide types. We only wish we had more time to continue working on your caches.

After an exhausting morning at the much bigger than expected markets, we skipped across the road to have a look at this park. We had to be quick as we'd spent so much time at the markets that we didn't have as much time as we'd planned left to get to the mountains and back home.
Good instructions, found quickly. A nice big one for the location.
Took pineapple, left bell.
