I checked on this one today, unfortunately it's not in great condition. I don't think that the tree is safe enough for a cache any more, so I'm going to archive this. Thanks to everyone who found this over its 10 years!
As with previous logs: climbed, found, touched, signed the container as the log is missing.Owner attention, or archive.Cache type 4 of 9 today
Confirming previous posts, attention needed. Lid to the container and log are missing. Only bottle and green cord remain.
Find # 10019Nice quick find.We brought our 5.4m TOTT, that we didn't need. We added a new logsheet and jammed a leaf on the top as the lid was missing. TFTC Brown Barbaloots 24 December 2023 10:42
A good climbing tree, but a bit sketchy to reach the cache itself. The container is still there, but the lid and log are missing. Tftc.
Located in tree. Geoian climbed up and retrieved and signed as I have a broken wrist. I would have been climbing otherwise. TFTC
Duper dangerous this one as branches snapping no branch to get to a safe comfortable angle to open and sign log, I got it but it's sketchy
Found and logged. Foxhound is right about this cache being dangerous. Safety first
Even the tall Techsavvy9 couldn’t get this one – had to rely on the climbing skills of Goldberry17. TFTC, and also to Goldberry17.
TFTC and with 2 metal knees and not wanting to fall and short legs I would never have retrieved this. 2 pods and Goldberry and I were out for the day geocaching and Goldberry offered to retrieve it for us.
Found it after a thorough look but couldn't get to it. Very dangerous spot. Requires climbing to reach... dangerous tree... Relocate it to a safer spot and I'll go back and sign
This was a positive in the day. Turning this frown upside down. Was just about to walk away, one last look from another angle, and spotted the anchor point. Ta Da! Now, how do i get that! If i try this, nope. What about, Nope! This will work, only just. I could only just reach it, as it was looped over the branch, so i got a stick, and flicked it over to make it lower. Gotta remember to keep very close to the trunk when climbing or sitting/leaning on branches, that are a little on the thin side. Very disconcerting hearing that cracking sound. Signed log and had to wait for te oval walkers to do their 3rd loop, before i could get down. TFTC. Fav from me.
Found but couldn't reach safely as it was raining pretty hard at the time. Will come back later to sign it
I came down here today for a maintenance check - I replaced the container and the log.

Found it, put it back in the tree, sorry to those this may effect as it is fun to challenge yourself with tree climbing, maybe 3 metres up, good luck and tftc
Found on ground with the logbook wet. Have placed back in the same spot we found it. W/ The Cupcake Ninjas
Nope. I climbed the tree as far as i thought was my limit, and could not find the cache. Must be well hiden.
Well sort of. Saw it but wasn't willing to risk life and limb. Leave it to the younger ones.
Found with Shaneo58's help, we came up here hoping it would stop raining or clear up a bit, so it was fine up here at Maitland, Paterson and Morpeth. The ladder was a bit had to place, so the tree was climbed to retrieve the cache.
Cache replaced as found.

Luckily no sports on here today so it was deserted. Nice easy little climb, just got tricky once I was up there to sign the log. Managed to put my stamp on the log sheet then shimmed back down. Container in good condition. Log book dry. TFTCSL Thanks for placing Brown Barbaloots, I love a good tree climb

On a few weeks holiday travelling, we set up camp at Maitland showground. Mr, Mrs Coongoola & Geodog found your cache today, 27 November 2020 12:09 pm , while enjoying another day out adding to our tally. Cap gone, log completely saturated and could not remove from container. Needs maintenance. TFTC Brown Barbaloots
This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 10764.
Always a good day to relive your inner child and climb a tree. Unfortunately the cap was missing and the log was fairly wet. I managed to sign my name but I even searched below the cache but could only find broken plastic.
Thanks Brown Barbaloots for the cache.

Found with My Dad (DJANT) and my Brothers (dart16 & Jedi Anakin) I have my own account now and am trying to catch up to the boys Thanks for the cache.
Well we got to GZ, spotted the cache, but unfortunately the climb was beyond our geriatric capabilities so we'll have to give this one a pass. Not even a ladder would have felt safe for this one! Sad face!
Out for Sunday family outing to find some around Morpeth. First stop of the day and I parked on the main road and walked through the Bush. I have started orienteering here and run through this Bush. Spotted it from below and was soon signing the log. Lid disintegrated in my hand so tried to put it back with a leaf on top. TFTC
I found this cache on a windy day with my family thank you for this fun tree climb!
Out caching in the area with the family. Met a couple of doggies exercising as we walked across. Then it was Unicorn Princess who did the honours , a bit windy today but she did a great job. The cache lid has perished and will need maintenance . We replaced with leaves to help protect the log which was a bit damp. Thanks for the cache Brown Barbaloots tnln sl
I joined a trip to Maitland with Aquilus1, dty73, Tankengine, Barb2e, Kitty Katch & Joolay. The weekends main game was to do the dogs head series, but along the way we did some old caches around Sydney and did as many Maitland caches as time allowed. The return journey was via some old caches and some challenges that may or may not be met one day.
Day 3's target was a trip to Frying Pan. The trip was great and the caches along the way and there lots of fun. I was very disappointed at just how many people were camping in a spot like this, I cannot see how it could be enjoyed. The afternoon was finished in Maitland with the Walka Lake Adventure Lab, a fun diversion.
Thanks for the cache Brown Barbaloots

I returned to the scene of the cache after many months of my map being intruded by a blue face. I quickly sighted the cache and began climbing. Unfortunately the combination of being short, and falling out of a tree three weeks earlier have resulted in a DNF (again). I will return, with a plan.

After finishing work for the day, I had some time free, and so headed out this way to grab this cache for the day. Parked and walked across the oval and climbed up and soon spotted the cache! Quickly signed due to so many mossies around, and replace the log, although it is quite damp and will need replacing soon.

TFTC, tree climbed, log signed. Log is wet so appropriate ink is required. Mossies abundant.
Found it. Train and bike adventure from Newcastle today. Nearly gave up but persevered on it and spootted it. Gets a fav. TFTC Brown Barbaloots.
Couldn’t find it in either the tree or on the ground. I had fun climbing though!
We saw a cacher's log from the other day saying it was on the ground, so we walked down this morning to find it where they had put it back - a nice safe spot but not high enough. We replaced the log as it is falling apart, and attached it back to the rope up the tree. It's strange that it was on the ground, as the knot seems to be tight enough. Good luck!
Found this one lying about down below with Joolay already part way up the try looking. Lol Signed the look and poked it back in a hidy hole up high. Tftc
....
Heading north with Joolay to meet up with some friends for a weekend tackling the Dogs Head geoart. We of course couldn’t help ourselves and grabbed a few caches (and particularly a few challenge caches!!!) on the way!

Found on the ground, lid off and very wet. Signed and stuck back in tree. Nibletricecakes had the eagle eye while I was looking in the tree. TFTC
After grabbing a nearby FTF we came over to this one. Cache was quickly spotted and after a quick climb the log was signed and replaced. A good bit of fun, TFTC.
Out for a walk yesterday, we thought we might check up on the cache. A quick climb up the tree and the cache was in hand - we opened it up and the cache contents were fine, so all is well.
Out and about doing some caching at night cleaning up the remaining multis in the area and also grabbing the odd Trad or 2 before we leave Maitland to head back to Victoria.
A tree climb in the dark , why not! The geomonkey has this one in hand quickly, took longer to get the log out to sign than it did to get to it.
Thanks Brown Barbaloots for the placement for our enjoyment.

Found with dart16 Jedi_Anakin going under the name D.D.J. This is not a terrain three it should be a five it’s very high I think you need to change it thanks for the cache.
No 2 for today mrs horsey spotted with eagle eyes but sadly could not reach it TFTC
Getting out for some fresh air after being cooped up for a few days. Miss8, our resident tree-climber, scrambled up first, but soon found she must wasn't tall enough. I was going to leave it and bring MrC back another time, but thought I'd at least give it a shot. Even at the highest point I could get myself, I had to stretch as far as I could to get the cache out of the loop. I was concerned I wouldn't be able to get it back in, but somehow managed!
Thanks for renewing this great cache - a bit tough, but fun!

While out for a walk around the area, we decided to have a look at this cache, just to make sure it's doing well in its new spot. We climbed up the tree (in the dark!), with a torch in one hand, and after searching for a few minutes, we found it. With one hand preoccupied we couldn't climb quite high enough to look at the log, but it seems to be doing well.
Hopefully it will stay in place for a while.

Found it. Couldnt reach it though. Definately more than 2 metres off the ground, more like 5
