On a road trip with Net61 from Blenheim to Kaikoura collecting caches as we head south. A nice quick park and grab and we were backIn the car heading south. TFTC
Trouve ! / Found it ! Vu le nombre de toile d'araigne, elle a pas eu beaucoup de visite rcente 5257me cache trouve.Merci Eder-Ents pour la cache Given the number of spider webs, she didn't have a lot of recent visits 5257th cache found.Thank you Eder-Ents for the cache
Also a handy minute for this Wellingtonian, collecting minutes of Aotearoa for a challenge while down this way. Quick find, thanks Eder-Ents!
Finally things lined up, the weather, a day off, and no urgent chores around the house. Buzz, buzz, buzz to Kekerengu it is. This one was deeper in than should have been. Not now.
Heading down to Christchurch for the weekend. Had time to grab a few caches on the way. Managed 10 caches all close to the road. Quick stop, find, sign and off again. Glad I was in a small car for parking. Thanks for the smiley
Collecting a few more 'minute' caches. Another trip up to Nelson then Blenheim for the night for work. Now on the return journey to CHCH
Another minute done. Actually found another container here... it was rubbish though... so I've done a bit of CITO.
TFTC Eder-Ents, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 4 find(s) of 7 today, making this find #4238

Great to stop for this one today as we are attempting a 300mins South challenge. All good here and thanks for the cache Eder-Ents.
A quickish find on a road trip South - log signed as SONO - thanks for the cache:-)
Another quick park and grab to boost the numbers for the new 'signal maze challenge '.

(# 5977). Day 2 of my South Island odyssey. Today is getting caches from Blenheim to Kaikoura. The weather was decidedly average with mainly light drizzle interrupted by heavy rain. It's the first time I have driven along the coast since the earthquake. I can now appreciate the carnage that occurred. Even how much the seabed rose around Kaikoura. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
Another one we searched for before TS agrees its AWOL. So arranged a replacement to keep this one rolling along. Cheers.
Toby, The Seagnoid and I are off exploring to Kaikoura again today. Its an easy day of mostly P&Gs as TS is the walking wounded at the moment, and not walking much, but can play navigator on this trip. So lets go! A great day with many stops on the way we usually drive past to greener pastures for TS.

No luck today ..two of us searched the end ...so now have blue face ...so to speak
On the final leg of my road trip on the way home! A few more fitted into the day! TFTC!!
On our way to kaikoura and making use of cell signal while we can. Grabbing a few caches along the way. Found with eltee291, Hingis20 and crman1. TFTC
Coastalmartinis and I along with eltee291 and Hingis20 are heading to Kiakoura. Stopping to get a few (all of them) on the way. Tftc
Quick find today with eltee291, crman1 and coastalmartinis on the way to Kaikoura for the day! Signed the log and replaced as found. Visiting from Victoria, BC, Canada. Thanks for the cache, Eder-Ents!
Found this one today with hingis20, crman1, and coastalmartinis. We are on a day trip to Kaikoura to see the seals, sightsee, shop, and geocache of course. On vacation from VIctoria, BC, Canada visiting my daughter and her family in Blenheim. TFTC
On our 18th day in New Zealand we travelled from Kaikoura to Picton. It was a short distance and therefore we had ample time for a number of caches along the route. The route itself was very interesting, particularly in the first part where we could still see the damages from the earthquake and the process of making the routes new. Due to that fact certain caches which we wanted to do were still not able to get. Due to the many caches we searched we do more or less one log for all. Thanks to all the cache owners to provide and maintain all these. Those we looked for we could all find well, meaning also that we checked beforehand and those that were not found recently we left out. It was more difficult to stop here than to find the cache! TFTC and greetings from Switzerland

I've already spent a bit longer than 56 minutes on 1, and have got a bit longer to go yet... heading up to Marlborough from Christchurch for the Vineyard Half. The coastline has changed so much since I was last here, the news doesn't do it justice. Quick find in between passing cars, great view out to sea. GLB1721 TFTC (4389)
Finally brought a car that I had want for the last 3 years and had to fly up to Auckland to drive it back to Dunedin. So 2 birds with one stone a new car and caching all the way home. This is one of many on the trip home was a nice and easy one to find TFTC
A quick find on the way to camp for the night to wait for the road to open in the morning. Well - at least that was the plan. TFTC.
Luckily the highway is empty today as with the GPS still playing up, the brain made the commonsense find. Time for a reset on the GPS me thinks. tftc
Out for a roadie with Annacons to reach Clarence and pick up caches before the road re-opens and the big rigs return. Not a busy highway today at all of course.
Mr & Mrs W swapped children with Melonious and headed off on a caching trip with their Miss 9. The aim - to grab as many caches between Seddon and Clarence while it's quiet (before the road reopens). An icy wind didn't deter us and a 5 hour round trip saw a few more smileys on the map We have driven past this one so many times but the 'climate in the car' (read grumpy kids) has never allowed us to stop. Pleased to make this one a smiley. TFTC.
It is good that there is no traffic up and down the road, makes stopping in a hurry and doing u-turns a breeze....even in our motorhome...quick find, tftc
With Mr Raisinpig busy playing with concrete - I had the day to head out in our lovely Marlborough weather. I decided on a wee road trip south to see how many caches I could pick up whilst the roads are so quiet.
A quick easy PnG for me today.

A perfect Marlborough autumn day today, sunny with no breeze, so Jo and I decided a trip down SH 1 was in the offing to pick up some of those park and grabs that we always find so difficult to do when this road is fully functioning and we are time-stressed on a trip to CHCH to see my family. So what better day than today, on what for me is the start of a 4 day weekend and with minimal traffic around to go for a bit of a nosey down south. The aim was anything south of Ward and north of Clarence, and not requiring too much of a detour from the main road. 15 claimed which leaves us 2 short of the 1K mark. Thanks to all COs .
This was one we had attempted at stopping for on a number of occasions, but there always seem to be cars right behind you or you overshoot the pull over. No problems today. Thanks Eder Ents. We got a similarly themed cache on the inland route to CHCH last weekend.

25/2/17 - Just back to UK from 6 weeks in NZ where I found 500+ caches. Didn't get around to logging them all at the time. Quickly found. TFTC
A nice quick park and grab while exploring what is left of SH1. Destruction from earthquake and fire here. 15 January 2017 13:17 GH6710 T F T C Eder-Ents
With a few more days of holidays left we decided to head south again and find some caches we didn't have time to look for last week, plus some more off the beaten track. This was one of 51 found today.
Thank you Eder-Ents.
Thank you Eder-Ents.
Our recent multi day Canterbury cache raid was so successful we decided to have another one before the holidays finished. Again we got stabbed, prodded, pricked and scraped by the variety of hedges the region is so famous for. And of course we can now hold our breath a lot longer. A skill well worth developing to avoid breathing in part of the road surface every time a vehicle passes. Just over 200 finds were logged this time and a great time was had finding the caches with a variety of shapes, sizes and placements. A big thank you to all COs who made this possible.
Driving south from Picton to Parnassus today picking up a few caches along the way. Luckily we were heading the right way for parking. TFTC.
I came over to New Zealand to meet my son, who is staying now for more than five months on the other side of the world. Our intension is, to travel now for 4 weeks through this fantastic land and visiting a lot of fine spots on both islands.
Met in Auckland, our first trip led us to the Far North with some spectacular locations. It was a lot of driving, but we think, it was worth the result.
The second part of our travelling route led us to the south. Going via Hamilton with some fine locations, Hobbiton was an absolutely must of our "unexpected journey" . Went then to Tauranga with a hard upclimb to Mt. Maunganui, visited Rotorua to see lot of vulcanic activities, have had a lot of fun with Zorbing and Claybird shooting and drove then to Taupa, to doing Skydiving.
Here we go: Napier with it's beautiful Art Deco district and the great Aquarium was the next stop.
Final destination on the North Island was Wellington, were we visited some great places and met some friends from Germany.
After crossing Cook Strait now we will follow the east side of the southern island down to the most southern point of New Zealand.
Blenheim with its wine yards, fantastic dolphin watching in Kaikoura, the story of earthquake in Christchurch, following the famous coastline down to Dunedin with its beautiful and interesting places as well as the nice city of Invercargill were our main spots on this part of our journey.
Of course, even if it is not our main activity during this holidays, we will looking for some caches, which are laying beside our route.
So this cache was one of those, we've picked up.
Many thanks to Eder-Ents for this fine cache and best greetings from Germany.

Second day of Chelzea and I doing a weekend cache run through Hanmer to Blenheim through Molesworth Station, an overnight camp and then return along the main highway back to ChCh. A pretty intense weekend with over 120 caches found that most seem to blend together so reluctantly cut and paste logging. Had a great time finding many wonderful caches in a fair few cool spots worthy of the visit. Very few DNF's but will note anything interesting or wrong with individual caches. Thanks to all the cache owners.
This was one of the caches we found on our South Island homeward journey from Picton after 3 weeks touring around the North Island in our camper van. Our thanks to the many CO's for the many great caches and placements which diverted us to many great locations. Sorry for the generic log, but so many caches to log. Quick park and grab. TFTC
I just had to get this one,but when I was about to brake and turn into it, I saw I had a biker right up my tail. Argh. Had to find another place to turn and double back.. but I got it (you never know which challenge you need what for down here )

We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!

O Boy!!! What a full on 5 days caching. Driving/Sailing to attend the Christchurch Mega Event with Squirrel Nutcase and also picking up caches on the way to help us complete our Dot Days and Challenges we are currently trying to fulfill. We traveled to so many places that we have never visited before and with 240 plus caches later knew we had an eventful few days.
2.05pm - As this was the beginning of long holiday weekend, road was fairly busy. Quick find with no one worrying about what we were doing. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)...
On our way to NZ Mega Christchurch 2015, and caching as we go. We planned to stay close to the main highway and only venture off into the countryside where appropriate... That didn't always work for us. A 4-5 hour journey ended up taking us almost two days; such was the sheer number of caches we encountered along the route.
We are pleased to report that almost all of the caches we stopped for were in place and in good order. Besides a bit of dampness, there was nothing of concern. This is a feat that cache owners in this area of the country can be proud of... We thank you... Thank you for bringing to our attentions areas of significance. We enjoyed discovering scenic areas, historical and social locations, and other personally meaningful spots.
As stated, we found loads of caches... If we were to write an individualised note for each one, we'd never get the logging done. Hence, there will be a lot of cutting and pasting going on... My apologies!!
Marlborough: A quick find. TFTC.

Not much to see at this time of night - just getting dark enough to stop me caching and deciding to head home to prepare for Mega. Last of my journey to Nelson and back. See you at Mega.
We camped in the campervan at Taylor Dam last night. It was very peaceful apart from the odd doof doof car. I was so tired after all the geocaching and walking yesterday that I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
We dumped our stuff at a dumping station. Then went for a walk by the river. Followed by lunch. Then we found this one on the way home. I just managed to park the campervan. Thankfully there was no traffic.

Yay a geo weekend away with my buddy Nosynel where we join forces and cache as NosyBear. Heading home now and collecting the last few cachest. Thanks for the caches Blenheim
Mrs Kiwimykl (aka NZDi) has got a course to attend in Christchurch tomorrow, so this afternoon we headed south grabbing smiley faces on the way. While NZDi is filling her brain with useful information tomorrow, I will be caching Christchurch, then on Friday we will head across to the coast caching along the way, stay in Greymouth then head home to Blenheim on Saturday also picking up even more caches.
This cache was our third of ten this afternoon and was unfinished business from our Saturday trip to Kaikoura. Having bypassed it on the way south, we decided to go for it on the way north, but found it was a cache to be got when travelling south only. The opportunity for a second bite of the cherry so soon was to much to ignore, so we didn't.

Picked up this one's mate on highway 65 some time ago so didn't need this one for the challenge. Smilies are always welcome though, so I'll take that, thanks .
Stopped here but decided to flag this one away. The shoulder is small and there was a lot of traffic.
