On holiday with busy paws and heading to Motueka. Enjoying caching on the way. Tried a couple of options then back to first one and found it. Put the log back into first container and that into outside container. Thanks for this cache, Eder-Ents.
Going on holiday with coconuts3, we felt a need to do this one, the title was different! Took a couple of minutes to track down and could not understand why an outer container was left off??? Signed the log and reassembled the 2 containers. TFTC.
Quickish find here. Some cattle being moved on the highway just north at the time too .
Thanks
Thanks
Traveling north. Beut day. No rush. Tftc. The inner container was quite wet so just put the log in the outter one for now.
#11,138. I have been in Nelson for the past 2 days. Today we are driving to Christchurch via Lewis Pass. We stopped here on the way south to do this cache. We parked across the road in the flat area of grass and walked down to GZ. Last time I was here the blackberry and vegetation made it very hard to search near the tree. Thanks to andy.gail its been cleared up and this time we saw the tell-tale sign of where the cache might be and happily it was there. We signed the logbook and replaced the cache where found. Thanks Eder-Ents for the cache.

Yet another work related road trip for us. Picking up some caches along. Cache is all good here. TFTC.

Another cache with a few DNF's but we stopped any way. A short hunt showed that we would need more tools to find this cache so a big tool was retrieved from the boot and gorse and prickles cut back to access GZ. A poke around and our pops the dirt covered cache. Took it back to the car and cleaned it up, signed the log and replaced at GZ. tftc
Well we didn't spend 56 minutes here but we spent long enough to check all the likely spots and stared intently into the tree. No cache revealed itself. Parking was not great and we got tooted a couple of times. So time to keeping driving south.
The storm last week has made for some interesting sights ... mud and slips! Hardly any traffic today and since I was ahead of time I decided to stop while there was a gap in the rain and have a looksy for this but it was a DNF.
Driving today from Hanmer Springs to Nelson; it is good to have a bit of time to stop for a cache or 2.
I had a bit of interest from 4-legged muggles (cattle + goats) to add to the entertainment.
Thank you for this cache, Eder-Ents.

Visiting the South Island as the grown up kids are on Uni holidays. Heading up to Nelson today collecting some caches on the way. Wonderful sunny day although cold and frosty to start with. Trying hard to contribute to domestic tourism post Covid.
First time over Lewis Pass. Loved the scenery with all the snow capped mountains. Quick stop here, no muggles apart from the cows! TFTC

Found while returning home to Blenheim after a weekend in Hanmer. Beaut day today for a few stops. TFT Caches on this route today.
No luck for us today we didn't stay too long as the road was getting busier, We checked the likely places before deciding another day for this one
Stunning view here, perfect place for me to stretch my legs on my way home to Tasman.
Thanks very much!

My granddaughter, Redco5, and I headed off for Murchison yesterday for a few days to see the sights and pick up a few caches as well. We decided to try for the ones on the roads south of Murchison.
Cheers for the cache.

I was out with Tufty, my Grandad, caching in the Murchison area going southwards.

This was the fifth day of my driving trip down to Oamaru for Geofest 2017. I stopped every five to ten kms or so along the way to grab a cache. This expanded my driving time to a total of two weeks to get there and home again. I ended up going a total of 3,500 kms. TFTC.
Making our way home from Hawarden with my Mum and Dad. They are more willing to stop and wait for me than my Husband is on most trips. A very chilly day, 6 degrees, but still sunny. QEF. TFTC
It only took a minute to find although it took 4hrs and 45mins to get here from Christchurch, stopping and starting all the way..Stopped for lunch and spent time caching of course..TFTH
Quick find in first spot looked, all good at GZ.
Today was the long drive home from Chch to Blenheim, and it would have been reasonably quick except for the cache stops along the way. Just targeted anything that looked likely between Hanmer and Wairau Valley township, so 24 in total. Thanks to all the cache owners.

Funny, I stopped here last year and didn't see the cache. Today I found it within seconds, not sure what was going on there... The container is pretty rusty but the logsheet is still OK. Signed log, TFTC

We had thought that driving all day with only a few stops would be boring, but it wasn't. We found some nice caches while making our way from Hanmer Springs to Picton, and the landscapes were absolutely stunning. The high mountains and the wide valleys, the rivers and the changing skies, sometimes cloudy sometimes blue. The light has a different quality here, it was like seeing everything in 3D.
Another stop another cache. TFTC!

Another great journey-breaker of a cache and a Q E F at G Z. Replaced as found and along the road we go. T F T C Eder-Ents.
Day 3 of our mini-holiday and time to head back over the (Lewis Pass) hill. On the way we stopped off at a few, but not all, geocaches to help break up the journey, and also convert a few greenies into yellow smiley faces. Laetitia seemed bitten by the caching bug and accompanied me for most of the finds all the way home, even finding a few before me!
We have a foreign exchange person over from New Caledonia for this week, and the school holidays are still on so it's only reasonable to show our visitor, Laetitia, some of the sights and sites around our back-yard, and beyond. So it was decided that we would stay in the work 'bach' at Hanmer Springs for a couple of nights and recent road closures etc meant that the trip from Murchison to Hanmer along the alternate route would take us past some previously untraveled roads and therefore afford us even more scenic experiences, and a few caches of course.

After some planning Shannonp1 and I got sorted for a mission into areas we hadn't been. Up to Hanmer through the Molesworth to Blenheim, down the Wairau valley to St Arnaud down the Shannandoa to Murchison and then home via the Lewis. 209 caches for the weekend and a pretty high success rate. Thanks to all the cache owners especially Bum and Worker and sorry for the cut and paste.
So a few weeks in the planning phase, me and Surveybase finally got out and about for a mission. Through Hanmer, up the Molesworth to Blenheim, across through St Arnaud, Murchison and then home. 209 caches for the weekend and a pretty high success rate. Thanks to all the cache owners and sorry for the cut and paste. Cheers.
This was a quick stop as we headed to Nelson. Spied what I thought was cache and turned out it was. While there I was muggles by half a dozen cows who took great interest in what I was doing. Signed the log and returned as found. Thanks for the placement.
Out and about this weekend a bite of a road trip to the cost and CHCH to see friends and family. All and all a good weekend out. And with so many caches to chose from and not enuf time to get them all ( good excuse to go back for more) sorry about the cut and paste. But thank you to all those that have put caches out there for all to find. And thank you for taking me to some interesting places seeing some interesting sites and the time I wasted looking in all the wrong places
For some reason (no access; CI (cachers inertia) ; not focussing) I failed to log this cache at the appropriate time (or I messed up – it is possible). So here we are, sometime after our Grand Southern Tour in February, finally getting the book work, up-to-date. We had a fabulous tour south from our home and enjoyed the stops to collect a cache - visited your cache on 24/02/2015. Many thanks for placing this cache.
6532. Off on a camping/geocaching holiday to Nelson. Day one was Christchurch to Murchison. This was our thirteenth stop for the day. This one took a few minutes to sort out where it was hidden and find an access Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.
TFTC. Out to play for the weekend with the destination of Nelson. Caching crew on board were Karma Reprint, Team_Gaters and TheWanglers, logged as PKTT for this trip. Gosh did we have fun looking for caches, most of which we found, in this very beautiful part of our country.
A speedy park and grab.
Thanks Eder-Ents for placing the cache.

On a big mission up to Nelson over Show Weekend with Purdiepurdie, Karma Reprint and Team_Gaters we signed our cache finds as PKTT the 'power packet' but we called ourselves the 'G4'. We headed off on Friday morning at 4.30am and made our way to Nelson today. We drove heaps, laughed heaps, found heaps of caches and poke our noses here and there. It was a great day we didn't stop until about 9.30pm for a cuppa and relax and getting ready to do it all again tomorrow!
Quick one... onto the next.
Thanks for the cache.

For the sake of sanity we set off with sonia26642 for a crazy geocaching trip, aiming to cache until we drop. The main destination was Nelson and the ‘surrounding’ area, but then we ended up covering a few miles in three northernmost regions, plus a few in Canterbury. We were signing/stamping the log as 'Team Polak' or ‘TP’ for the two of us on this trip to save logbook space. We found a lot of different caches, city ones, road side, park side, up a hill and on an island, and we enjoyed every single one of them. It was good to be a professional thingfinder for a few days!
We took the Lewis Pass route on the way up, and encountered all kinds of silly weather, including snow and hail. We did consider turning around and following the highway, but it ended up being ok – we just had to drop a few caches as there was no way of getting there in the knee high snow…
We had great fun and are grateful to all CO’s who placed caches for us to find, and help restore our sanity before returning to our other non-geocaching lives!!

This was one of the most epic weeks ever, and definitely my most epic caching week ever.
Me and mum headed up on a holiday north to Nelson and very wider surrounds. In total during the trip, we found almost 500 caches! (470 odd I think, but final results are yet to be in! ) We covered about 3000 odd km I think too. Crazy! And had our absolute best caching day ever too at 160 found. Spend 9 days travelling, caching, and having the best time ever!!
So sorry about not so epic logs, as otherwise this would probably take me the rest of my life to log, especially with two big events to organise coming up! Eeek!!

Didn't understand the title reference at first. Found on a lovely Queens Birthday Saturday driving from Hanmer to Nelson. Thanks for the hide.
Another one for the challenge sorted and the only one for the trip from Chch to Nelson. Cheers
Need to investigate what this challenge is, to see what we are missing, but thought it prudent to stop by and make sure we do now have a 56 Spotted a potential hiding place immediately. Grass was still a bit wet and I had the more appropriate footwear, so I was sent in to retrieve. Instant find. Need to be careful around here during night time finds with the hazard nearby. TFTC.
First for the trip south. It wasn't going to be as we had planned a trip via Kaikoura to include a cache we do need for the Challenge. Potential 1 hour plus delays had us taking Lewis route and having a sunny and successful caching day. Thanks for the thought - but we had 56 and need 57. But always happy to have a smiley on the 19th although Mrs SoBad thinks she dated this the 18th.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Got cross examined by a local who thought we were dumping rubbish. Quick find. Tftc
Oh yes that's right, I must take another look at this challenge. That's 56 taken care of, now only four more to find. Thanks for the cache and the reminder !
Off to Nelson for the weekend and we didnt leave til after 4pm but I still wanted to take the slightly longer route as there had been more caches placed since we last came through this way. This was a nice quick park and grab. We replaced the paper-mache logbook with a nice new dry one. [:o)] Thanks for the cache

Happy New Year!! My first cache for 2014. On my way South for some caching adventures in a South West direction. Pleased to be able to find a cache that I may have inadvertently inspired I hope it has proved useful to some. As noted the log is getting wetter and wetter and the recent weather seems to have turned it to mush so I wasn't able to sign it and unfortunately didn't have a suitable replacement with me. TFTC, Biggles.
