EN : Our guide dropped us off at the seaside and gave us 1 hour to swim or walk. As for us, we opt for the walk, letting ourselves be guided by the geocaching caches that are part of our trip . We take the photo for this virtual which we attach to our log. Thank you to all the installers for the work carried out for our greatest pleasure. Greetings from France. Our Travel Bugs pass through this cache but do not come out of our backpack; they continue the adventure with us. Trip to New Zealand, decided very quickly , but that didn't stop us from preparing a small file of caches to search, as far as possible. The GC46 was, of course, at the top of that list! and there you have it, we visited it during our stay in Wellington. Yes !! Our program should allow us to discover a large part of this country.FR : Notre guide nous a dpos au bord de la mer et nous a donn 1 heure pour nous baigner ou nous balader. This is the last full day of rattll and my road-trip around the South Island. We started off this morning in Nelson, targeting adlabs in the cbd and around the airport, then made our way to Pelorus Bridge.Completing the long-tailed bat adlab on the river loop walk, we were able to pick up this cache along the way. A short hunt required to find. All good inside the container. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
After a bit of a mishap yesterday we had to do a trip to Blenheim to pick up some spare keys to our brother's campervan. Apparently, those vans lock themselves when we did not expect it to do so, especially when the keys are inside the van.So we were up and out the door early and heading for the spare keys. At the event last week, I had said that we were not going to bother with the souvenir challenge that is on at the moment. Well with an unexpected trip over the hill the challenge was discussed and a plan or two was made. With two adventure lab caches in the Pelorus area we could not resist but to stop and look for this one. This was an instant find, the write in the rain paper is doing its job perfectly. It was a bit wet but a quick dry and it was ready for use.It is a bit embarrassing to think this is the first time we have ever walked this lovely wee track. Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley.
What a beautiful spot. Spent some time skipping stones at the very pretty river and stopped for a nice quick find on the way back to the car. TFTC
Having spent a weekend in Nelson with some Wellington Geocachers, it's time to head back to Christchuch. I drove up through the Lewis Pass, but am doing the full loop and down the Kaikoura Coast, as there is a few caches here and there that are quite old. This is not one of them, however I did stop into the rest area to eat my lunch, and had a short walk to grab this cache before heading into Havelock. All good here. Thanks for the cache.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Today we spent another wonderful day here in this area and drove to Picton. We made a short stoppover and took a little walk. As there wasn't anybody around us, we had enough time to search and find the cache and sign the logbook. Yippie - another Tradi found in New Zealand!! A big thank you to bumandworker for leading us here and showing this place and of course also for maintaining the cache here in the woods at the trail!Best wishes from the North Sea, Germany, from Cuxine . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ________________oooooooo____________oooooooooooooo_________oooooooooooooooooo________oooooooooooooooooooo_______oooooooooooooooooooo____oooooo_______oooooooooooooooooooo___ooo__ooo_______oooooooooooooooooooo__oooo____oo________oooooooooooooooooooooooo_________oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo_oooo_______oooooooooooooooooo________ooooo___ooooooooooooooooooooooo_________oo_ooo____oooooooooooooooooooooooooo_____oooooooo__ooo_oooooo__________oo___oooo_______ooo__ooo_ooo______oooo__ooo_______oooo___ooo__ooo___ooooo___ooo_____ooo___ooo____oo____ooo____oooooo__ooo____ooooooo____________ooo_____ooooo____ooo
22.01.2024 Nice little walk to this incredible Totara tree.Wanted to refuel about 15 minutes before Havelock from Renwick. Unfortunately there was only a few cents worth of petrol left but no big deal. But I got a tip from the nice lady at the petrol station that an HDR film scene with Legolas was being shot at Pelorus Bridge. I didn't see Legolos but found 2 caches Without the caches, I probably wouldn't have walked the nice little circular route to the impressive Totara tree. But it was worth it, and not just because of the caches. Marvellous! Thanks for the cache Murmeliene
Soul food in the trees - rehabbing a badly broken ankle - first time out since July.. TFTC with Piwaka54
A beautiful area! We had a lovely break from our drive, did this little loop walk and had a look at the river; so I did all the tracks next to this cache! A few other people around but easy enough to find a gap between them to step off and find the cache. Thanks so much for putting a cache here!
#5.690Quick and easily found in the rain. The water didn't look as nice as hoped under these conditions but the find made the stop a bit better.TFTC says team mastba from Hamburg/Germany
Easy find to wrap up our day. Its been a while since Ive been here and the river has changed a bit and I dont recall this track being there. What a great area! With squirt88.
Great find here today....all good ...
Saw a group of kids here from Seatoun!
Went down to check out the river , as Net61 recalled coming here for a paddle when young.

On a road trip with Supernannny and Net61 to Nelson exploring this part of the country. Stopped to collect this cache while doing the adventure lab. We had to wait for a school group to pass before zooming in for a quick find. TFTC
Exploring around Pelorus today grabbing a few caches. Nice quick find while doing the loop. Thanks for the cache.
Yay! TFTC! I came all the way from Vancouver BC Canada to find this cache Thanks for being part of the adventure!

We are finally heading north again. We stopped here for a rest and an Ad Lab. This is a beautiful walking area. Thanks for the placement, bumandworker.
Found it during a quick stop to admire the nice views. The rest of my group stayed on the bridge but I made a quick excursion along the track to find this cache.

We stopped here to do a small hike on both sides of the river. There were a lot of muggles around, but we were able to find it when nobody was nearby.TFTC #2204, 2022-12-23
We had a really good time hiking beside the river. Although many muggles we could find the cache without being discovered.
What for a beautiful area around the Pelorus Bridge. We walked belong the Totara Track and found this Cache.
Thanks say the GeoGrillen

Out caching again with paddle chick a nice walk along this track .Thanks bumandworker
We are driving over to Blenheim to taste some wines. This was one of the three caches I was allowed to find with my muggle wife in tow. TFTC
The rain had eased so I decided to stop at Pelorus Bridge to do one of the shorter walks. Of course as soon as I parked, it started raining heavily again. However, since I had already made my mind up, I carried on anyway. While my GPSr performed well, it took me an embarrassing few minutes to spot the hint object.
I was pleased to see the container was large enough to put a trackable in. It is the brucewwnz's Community Volunteer Tag that I was given at an event last year and which I have finally released into the wild. It is happy to go anywhere.

Stopped by on our way to Havelock. Had an awesome coffee at the nearby cafe then wandered down to river. Found the cache on our way back up. Thanks
Did a bit of a circuit before spotting the hint item.
I left a pet rock - a bee
Thanks for putting this here for me to find

Time for a wee family summers holiday; Kaikoura, Picton and Nelson.
After Kaikoura and Picton, time to head for Nelson. Too many caches to stop at them all, just picked a couple to mark the journey. Much to the horror of the boys we stopped here for a wee walk LOL. Busy spot but was soon enough making the find and sign...continued down to through a few rocks in the river (which the boys enjoyed!)....

Found while in the area for a local New Years Eve event with SJT_NZ , thanks b&w for the cache, all in good order.
Found with Tregearp whilst at an end-of-year event in the area. A beautiful walk around the circle circuit with lots of bird song and great river views. Thanks b&w for the cache.
Having made an early departure from todays event I could pass by here without a quick look.
After allowing two sets of muggles to pass by I dove in again for a better look.
Oh blast. More muggles. But not so this time. It was the rest of the event party. The cache was passed around for those to sign who wanted to sign before I popped it back for the next person.
Thanks bumandworker

Day 21 of three weeks winter motorhoming in the upper half of the South Island. On the ferry at Picton tomorrow! Short cycle ride in Motueka this morning before heading on to Upper Moutere to do the Adventure Lab there. Then on via Nelson to Havelock, picking up the odd cache here and there.
Almost at our destination at this point. Stopped at Pelorus Bridge and went for a short walk and found two caches. This one was a quick find. #4250. TFTC.

Quick stop on a rainy day. Found the cache but didn't get log out to sign due to weather. TFTC
Find on a drive from Nelson to Picton. Always love to stop here Thanks for the hide! Nice and quiet today in the damp weather. Thanks!
Apologies to the CO.I found this cache a while ago but stopped caching for a while due to the pandemic, and this find was left as a draft on my app.Found while on holiday in Golden Bay.TFTC
Taking some time on our journey from Nelson to Picton today, collecting caches on the way (and avoiding the dreaded carsickness hopefully). Easy find after diverting due to mugglers. TFTC.
A convenient teacher only day meant a drive somewhere with Mr 12 and Miss 8 for a walk. Pelorus got the winning vote and we aimed for this wee circle track although with the pace of Miss 8 today we probably could have got one of the bigger loops across the road done also but then there wouldn't have been time for ice creams and a play in the river. After completing the loop on the other bank of the river we grabbed an ice cream and headed down here to play in the river. Easy find once the gps settled.
With dry weather and a day to ourselves Missnboyz and I began a caching dayhunt.
Took a while to locate the correct GZ as gps was on a wobbler but eventually found. All is well here. TFTC
