Beaut evening and afternoon. Lots of peop0le about including those jumping from the bridge.
**20,068**Saw the picnic table on the way from the flash new carpark. The cache was an easy find at GZ and fortunately not too much traffic to deal with. TFTC
Cache was a quick find and the nearby river was busy with teenagers sunbathing
Out geocaching with busy paws, Jude_E, lytteltonwitch. A opular place today being such a nice day. Thanks for this cache bumandworker.
Looking through the list I noticed some caches I didn't log yet.
Found during our long weekend trip to Blenheim, visiting the Gin Distillery (best!) and of course doing a bike tour to some wineries.
Sunday to the market and afterwards we were looking for a good swimming spot and found this place. Parked right hand side of the bridge, walked down to have a swim, very cool sandy access! I quickly went up on the other side to locate this cache without any problems.

Beautiful day with low mist among the vines/ranges waiting to be burned off. Birdsong, cool & crisp. Perfect geocaching weather! Log dry & snug. TFTC .
A cold rainy autumn day after some unseasonally warm and mild weather, I was stuck indoors looking at some of my GC statistics and spotted some caches on my map which would help plug some gaps. So I set out to get some nearby low-hanging fruit before I head to work.
This area has evolved a lot since I visted last on foot, which was the Summer of 2017 when we used to go swimming here. My friend was attempting to use the rope swing further up the river, and jumping from the highest point he slid down the rope a bit and contacted the ground. Bumped off his trajectory, he ended up hurtling into the steel warratah sticking out of the ground, which collected the side of his kneecap and left a 2 inch gaping wound in which you could clearly identify the cartilage and tendons inside his kneecap.
Wet, cold, and in agony, it was a long wait for an ambulance, which had only been categorised as a Status 4 response (very low). Luckily I had my first aid kit at the car which contained a thermal blanket and painkillers.

Well that wasnt quite where i thought it would be, but just had to trust the map. Stopping in my travels around these back roads between TMGTs. TFTC.
TFTC! Lovely spot for a refreshing dip after a train trip from Rangiora to Picton.
Still stuck in Blenheim so trying to make the most of it. Hired a bike so that I could go a bit further out of town and collect some more smileys. Started with the cycle track up to Spring Creek. Quick find. Thanks
No Valentines Day picnic for me today, just a few minutes searching here for a cache.
After checking the movement of rain clouds, we packed up and decided to head north for a few days' adventure! I had all active geocaches I have not found yet in the South Island loaded on the GPS, but not particular plan as we only decided that morning. We ended up finding quite a few cool caches and had heaps of fun! TFTC!!
A uick grab once I realised I wasn't in the right spot - that being right next to a bee's nest. Cheers
Seeing that I was down in the area mainly to do the TMGT cache I thought I might as well do this one as well.
This place has a bit of a deja vu about it. I think I have been here before but don't know when.
Cheers for the cache.

Managed to hit a gap in the traffic - wow this is a busy road - and made an instant find. Our last one in this area for now. tftc
I had a bit of time to spare before the airshow at Omaka later this afternoon so I spent it caching near Spring Creek. Nice quick find. TFTC B&W.
Arriving near GZ I parked between some wholesome youths who were having a heated discussion while drinking and smoking, and a freedom camping van painted to extol the virtues of LSD. Fake bravado in place, I acted like parking on the side of the road and wandering away is something I do routinely (I do) and I am so sure of where I'm going there's no need to wonder what I'm up to!
Thank you for the cache.
Thank you for the cache.
Paddle chick and I went to Blenheim to spend the day caching and visit friends it was a lovely day.A nice easy find Thanks bumandworker
On a bike ride today finding caches in the area. The temperature is high already. Thanks for the cache bumandworker
#6153. I have several work meetings in Blenheim so have come over from Wellington for a few days for a combination of work and leave. Picked up a rental car and headed to the hotel to drop off my gear. There was Just enough time to grab a few caches today. So travelled up to Spring Creek to pick up several in this area. Quite a bit of traffic in this area. Had to wait some time to both grab the cache and put it back. Nice quick find. Signed the logbook and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache b&w
I walked _under_ the bridge.. very much indeed not necessary
Found at 09:21 - #7958 - on a 5 week trip in New Zealand

Out with the Grandson (PDH_NZ) doing some caches for my last day here. Going to be a nice spot here when its finished. A bit wet and muddy around the place today. SL. TFTC.
Today is the last day of my cache raid in Blenheim. Decided to start at Spring Creek before heading out to the Wairau River mouth. Sad to report that there has been a recent giant remodelling of the area surrounding GZ - trees removed, ground scraped and releveled. I think the cache has most likely gone.

A quick and easy find. I beleive I found it in the only place it could realistically be. Glad to turn blue into yellow!! Thanks
A weekend away, first this month!! Time to cache around a bit and then head home.
Thanks to the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches. Cheers.

A tree and branches have recently been removed. Compass continually pointed to the site of the removed tree. Probity need to check on this one b&w.
Tough find this morning with eltee291. Guess I wasn't really expecting it to be there. I actually found the missing log on the ground before I found the cache and then a couple minutes later spotted the cache. Signed the log(the original one) and replaced as found. Visiting from Canada! Thanks for the cache!
Tricky find today with hingis20. Finding the old log on the ground gave hingis20 the right perspective to see the actual cache. In NZ from Victoria, BC, Canada visiting family in Blenheim for a while and geocaching. TFTC
Quite a lot of toilet paper around GZ so had to step carefully. Found after a but if a search, when we did find it there was no log to be found so we put a replacement log and bag in it tftc
Easy find thanks to a bit of help with the junior member of Annacons, who was pretty excited to show us where the "treasure" was.
Out with Jo on another Sunday afternoon cache grab, this time around Spring creek and Wairau bar.
TFTC to all COs

Out geocaching on the east side of SH1 between Pukaka Valley and Blenheim with Kiwimykl. He already has this one which made it easier for me as I needed his help to speed up the process.

So glad a previous log said trust your GPS iPhone struggled but was fairly steady. Wondering if the same paint was used for the bridge. NINO TFTC
This took longer than we usually allow, but using a bit of logic and catching it from the correct angle we finally found the cache, good hide! TFTC
I was just about to give up in this one but yup at last had the right angle and it was easily spotted... I say trust your GPS and not the obvious that's about the best clue I can give TFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)...
On our way to NZ Mega Christchurch 2015, and caching as we go. We planned to stay close to the main highway and only venture off into the countryside where appropriate... That didn't always work for us. A 4-5 hour journey ended up taking us almost two days; such was the sheer number of caches we encountered along the route.
We are pleased to report that almost all of the caches we stopped for were in place and in good order. Besides a bit of dampness, there was nothing of concern. This is a feat that cache owners in this area of the country can be proud of... We thank you... Thank you for bringing to our attentions areas of significance. We enjoyed discovering scenic areas, historical and social locations, and other personally meaningful spots.
As stated, we found loads of caches... If we were to write an individualised note for each one, we'd never get the logging done. Hence, there will be a lot of cutting and pasting going on... My apologies!!
Marlborough: A nice area for a picnic, but one of a small number of DNFs for us. If it's there, it sure beat us. We spent an excessive amount of time searching.

Dad ( [Blue]Taybee[/Blue] ) back in the mainland again and caching. All in good order, sign log book as[Blue] Taybee nz [/Blue]or[Blue] tbnz[/Blue]. TFTC See Taybee log.
we look high and low for this one and round and round we went looking for it was about to call it a DNF then out of the corner of the eye what is that H****** here and it was the cache

Mrs Kiwimykl and I were babysitting our granddaughter today and as she had gone down for a nap I decided to go out and get my daily cache. I had previously DNF'd this one and the CO had recently advised he had replaced the cache so this was back on my list of possible targets.
I couldn't believe it when I turned into the car park at GZ and saw my fellow cacher, Raisinpig's, car parked there also. She hadn't found the cache at that stage but managed to find it straight away once I gave her a clue I had gleaned from a previous log.
After the log was signed, she went on her way to Rarangi and I went further along the path to check out (but not log) 'A Cache by Gum', funnily enough someone by the name of 'Rarangi' is the CO of that one.

Woke this morning to a sea of fog as far as I could see.... So took my time heading out.
Once the fog cleared it was a beautiful winters day - and this was the first of a few caches no too far from home. I had just arrived and jumped into the bush here - away from passer by's eyes... had a quick look around avoiding the dog poo... and then I heard another car pull up - look out and it was Kiwimykl... we then looked together - but with a hint he gave me I spotted straight away. Log was retrieved and signed and we went our separate ways.

I was passing by and decided to have a look for the new cache here, found it after a few minutes. Similar difficulty to the old one.

After spending a good 20 minutes searching for the prize, then checking past logs and seeing it hasn't been found for four months, I decided to log a DNF on my first attempt.
I had more luck searching for the keys to my geomobile, which had fallen out of a hole in my pocket, than I did searching for the cache.
Perhaps the CO could check it out on his next visit to Marlborough just to confirm it is still there.

Holidaying at the top of the South Island with tmann421. Many thanks to all the CO's for making this a memorable trip.

Had read some logs in preparation for finding this cache so approached GZ with some trepidation as it looks like the cache can be hard to find. Maybe we chose the best time to look as the cache was a very quick find.
In the process of accessing GZ, a thread on my straw hat got caught in a twig without me noticing and I walked on, only to discover that my hat was unravelling! Darn, will probably have to bin it now, but it was quite interesting to see how the hat was put together!
Cool piece of info re the origin of the picnic table timber. TFTC.

#9009. Troodles had me psyched up for a lengthy hunt, but then spotted the cache as soon as we got to GZ. Nice to be in the shade on another hot day. TFTC.
We agree with Kiwi_Explorer's sentiments ! We couldn't see the trees for the leaves so once we discarded the usual spots we worked it out. Clever but frustrating with no hint or cache size.
Visited the cache with Alasdair Camel, all in order, nice and dry. No room to drop him here so on we go.
[green] last time I was here I got nowhere. This time I was out with capperz chasing a brand new cache in the rain and we stopped off here to clear out a nasty green splodge in my sea of nice pretty smilies. I was looking in the right direction but missed it (again!) and capperz pointed it out for me. Duh! Log book and its plastic bag are nice and dry.
[green] Spent a bit of time looking here, but it was starting to look like the cache was in the flax - I don't like flax caches, and am probably going to run out of light - need to get back to the Air Force base still. Will come back for it one day. Looking at the logs the 1.5 difficulty is underrated - probably should be a D2.
This one took longer than it should have due to the amount of shadows. I swear I looked where it was but perhaps the shadows were just taunting me. TFTC
