Found with Sosillyadventures. Muddy underfoot and we were not keen on traipsing through the long grass on account of potential residents but braved it anyway and found cache easy enough. Cache had no lid and a ? had moved in. May need to replace container with something that has a lid. TFTC
Tried to stop on the highway but nowhere to park so drove up Pampoola rd and found after a quick walk through long grass
On KKZ69 and my way back to Sydney from Taree we stopped to try this one. Abit concerned once we arrived due the water but managed to grab it and stay completely dry!!!
You will get wet feet if you look for it anytime soon so cool to see names from 2013! Left a cow for someone to find
Took a quick detour while on my way north. Made the short trek through the long grass hoping not to get wet feet. Quick easy find. TFTC
Tftc quite the trek through long grass to reach gz. Spotted the cache quickly once there. Found with red_ear_slider
Day 10. A last minute plan had been hatched to make my way to QOGM. Very little planning had been done but a very rough outline was in place and it was going to be a day by day trip. After stopping over night in Stockton, it was onwards bound for Taree. I finally arrived and met up with posums for dinner and we decided to go on a night time caching hunt.A rather eerie place here in the dark with trucks wizzing past overhead. I managed to make a quick find of this one. Very glad it was warm and dry as this would not be a fun area in the wet. Thanks Mr Knexpert for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------The 12 Days of Cachemas series is now live. Well my trip up to QOGM has officially started and I’m taking the very indirect route up to outback QLD to get there.
It has been a while since I have driven up the Hume to Sydney and some people say that it is a very boring drive but I enjoy it.
So after spending a couple of nights in Lane Cove it was time to hit the M1 and A1 and head north to the last of my target caches The Frying Pan.
After finding the Pan and a little celebration I was then in googles hands to get me to up to Taree for the night.
Finally arrived at my destination Taree and I caught up with Roaming Howie at tea.
So after tea we hatched a plan and went looking for a couple more caches.
It was very eerie being under the bridge in the dark with the occasional truck passing over and making all the noise.
By the time I got there Roaming Howie had scrambled up and located this one.
I would hate to be here in the wet.
Thanks mrkexpert TFTC.

Did not think this though. Bush bashed through the grass and ended up very soggy shoes. Better to come directly from the road NEXT to the bridge. Not from under the bridge across

I was riding up the coast and decided to find this cache as a small side quest from the highway. TFTH
In the area and thought I’d have a go at this one. When GPS settled I had the right location. TFTC.
Gz was showing next to the road, at a pylon, but that didn't make sense. I braved the long grass, and guessed correctly that it was over there. Mint tin is missing its lid. Log is luckily dry. TFTC.
Attempted from under bridge. Went to side road and Geoian walked into the long grass. Found it! TFTC
Instead of reading the description first I decide I thought I knew what I was doing in regards to the route in from the Hwy. Tried every dead end road first. Well eventually got there and then had to make my way thru waist high grass and water but it didn't deter me at all. Weeell maybe not a lot. Managed to find, sign log and return. Thanks mrknexpert for this out of the way cache.
On my way to Taree for an appointment today, so thought I’d drop in and try to find this one. In hindsight I probably should have gone afterwards so I didn’t turn up covered in mud! TFTC
Came out here but there is grass taller than me and a pond at the moment. Pretty sure I could see the cache in place but alas it’s a DNF (snake/water)
Left the wife at the pool while staying in Harrington and had around 4 hours to cache around Taree picking up some caches and mysteries.
Was getting ready to finish, as getting close to the 4 hour mark, so drove via Pampoolah road to GZ. Parked under the bridge and walked to GZ. Saw and heard the traffic going by, and wouldn't really recommend trying this from the highway.
I search a few spots near the road, and then moved down a bit and saw the cache, not where I thought it should be, but found it nonetheless. SL and replaced in the same spot. TFTC.

Nice easy one. I don't think there's a safe place to stop nearby on the highway, so I went via Pampoolah. There were a large number of mudwasp nests nearby, thankfully Noone was home at the time though!
Also spotted a swan family in a pond nearby!

A walk in Kosciusko National Park was planned many months ago for the first week of January, before the now infamous fires were but a spark. As Christmas came and went, and the fires grew worse, I was not aware that fires were also starting in Kosi National Park. A day before we were to fly out the park was closed for a few days due to nearby fires, so with the chance of still going, we headed to Sydney. We waited and waited for the warnings to clear, but sadly this was not to be, and in fact, it has gotten much worse and the closures continued. We were not going to Kosi . While this was an inconvenience for us, our thoughts are with those who have suffered so much worse than us in this devastating event.
We decided to stay around Sydney and Newcastle for the week, and salvage as much as we could of our holiday. We had some great walks, cliff faces, beaches, swims and rocky crags. It was a fantastic time all around. Thanks to all the CO’s for the work they have put into these caches.
Logs were signed as The Bromance for Seffnjarah. CrookedPete, JeznDez and myself to save room in the logbooks.

Over the the past few years, the Bromance (comprising CrookedPete, Seffnjarah, SwellerFungus and most recently JezNDez) have enjoyed road trips, bushwalking, overnight hikes, mountain climbing, kayaking and other adventures in search of some elusive caches. The first planned adventure for the brand new decade was a multi day hike in Kosciusko National Park bagging Australia's highest dozen peaks and all nearby caches.
Enroute to our adventure, Australia's bush fire crisis unfolded, and with the Kosciusko region on fire and closed, our plans gradually morphed to a caching road trip back to Queensland, collecting unusual, rare and interesting caches along the way.
Time to get cracking north today, starting at Newcastle and collecting caches all along the way way including this one. We returned to this one, when realised the closest groceries for our self catered Airbnb further north was in Taree. A quick find was made - thankfully - as it was stinking hot.
Some logs were signed with individual names or initials if log space was an issue, others with "Bromance". Our groups brand new "Bromance" stamp also got it's first use on some cache logs.
Thanks mrknexpert

My family and I travelled down from Brisbane to Vincentia and Canberra to spend the Christmas/New Year period with relatives. Yesterday my fellow geocaching team members from The Bromance (Swellerfungus, Crookedpete and JezNDez) arrived in Sydney to join me for a planned hike in Kosciusko National Park (ultimately cancelled due to closures by bush fires). The plan was to head to Canberra after collecting them from the airport but the smoke was so bad in Canberra that we decided to spend a few days caching in Sydney to see if conditions improved. Sadly they didn't and the National Park was closed so it was time to turn tail and slowly head for home.
We actually drove past this cache but after realising Taree was the closest shopping for supplies for dinner, we turned around on the highway and headed back. A short detour saw us visit this cache where Swellerfungus made the find. Logbook stamped with The Bromance team name. TFTC

Brad and Janet are heading to Maroochydore to pick up the new house on wheels.
And along the way stopping for the occasional sightseeing and maybe a cache or two.
This was one of those stops. Always good to stretch the legs.

After a big day of caching we just fitted in one more before dark. Always time for one more cache!!
We are on a mission to get our Terrain rating up for the D1.9/T1.9 challenge near Gloucester before mid June.
GPS was completely useless under here, luckily though our geosense lead us straight to where the cache was hidden.

A fine sunny Autumn day for a drive around in Taree again.
Only a few muggles around today and a few more good hides.
Co-ords were well affected by the bridge, but a short search revealed the cache.
Thanks for the cache Mr Knexpert,

Well what started as an innocent look at a few puzzles in preparation for the upcoming HAVOC Incarceration camping event, soon turned into an impromptu all night caching run when we managed to solve all the puzzles.
As we slowly made our way home to Newcastle, we called into this one, and while the scramble to GZ was fairly simple, the eggshell like surface was incredibly slippery, especially after a bit of rain.

On an all-night geocaching adventure with MV on his birthday from Newcastle to South West Rocks seeking some FTFs and high D:T combos. We left Newcastle at 5:30pm and arrived back at 12 noon the next day. 42? caches, targeting D2:T2 and higher. Steady drizzle, dark, no sleep, higher terrain = fun
It's clear I was flogged by now as I fell over fairly hard climbing into this. Maybe I actually needed some sleep last night instead of caching all night... nah! TNLN TFTC

We are having an overnight at Taree on the way home. Set up at the showgrounds.
Our trip mostly took us out into the country side south of the town & then returning via Wingham.
Such a variety of types found today.

Found with Cckabbabs. Ground very wet under foot so we made a geocache path through the long grass. Spotted by muggles and no possible way to act natural or look inconspicuous so sat down and avoided eye contact. So much fun and faint air of eau De cow poo.
dmisty thought this would get onto the highway as we headed to cundletown and when we discovered it didn't we also discovered this cache. I made my way in and quickly found the cache. Great place for a hide. TFTC.
This one has actually taken a few visits but this time we managed to head straight to it. TFTC
Got this on the second attempt. It was a bit too wet underfoot last time. Tftc.
Found this last saturday. Parked and noticed it was quite wet directly to the cache, so i made my away around it by walking through the tall grass. Thanks!
Neither of our car navigators wanted to get to GZ via the only sensible route so we resorted to manually navigating from a map! We were greeted by a distinctive rural aroma from the numerous muddy ponds. The GPS favoured a general area which yielded a trouble-free find.
Thanks Mr Knexpert.

Have been to look for this one before but there was too much water lying around. This time it was a bit dryer! Easy to find (could see it from the road), but getting to it was a bit trickier! Got there in the end. Was about 12-15 metres away from where our GPS told us it was. TFTC.
After finding a way in was an easy find should have bought the wiper sniper!!!.tftc
Tftc. Second time lucky. Don't know how I missed it last time. It was in plain sight.

Grabbed this one today with Gazkersh and Tilly. Pretty spot! Found the container on the ground in the long grass and assumed it shouldn't be there, Hubby popped it back where GZ and our imagination told us it should be CITO - filled a bag with rubbish but it looked pretty and sparkly when we left Signed log. TFTC Mr Knexpert.
Went to the wrong overpass first then realised our mistake. Went to the right spot and spent a lot of time looking around but this one wasn't to be found this time. We will try again one day when we have better shoes on.

Found at 11:57:00 AM, GAFF1, Doing a few caches around the Old Bar area I noticed this one close-by, I soon located this hide from a distance, it caught my eye.
Cleaned the bird poop off the container.

I decided to start my day the Pampoolah way
I must have driven over this cache half a dozen times this week
Today that silly cache symbol needed to be banished from the GPS forever !!
After a longish detour that neatly described a triangle, I reached GZ for the second time today.
This time at the correct elevation
The GPS was pretty specific about where to search prior to me wandering into the 'cave'.
So I concentrated my pokings in that area
Hmmm !! Nothing found after 5 minutes and I had run out of hidey holes to poke
Wandering back to the geomobile and looking back, it struck me that there were some hidey holes still to be poked [:o]
How did I miss seeing that ??
The cache soon came to paw once I started looking in the right places

Found at 5:33 PM GAFF5. On our way home after a couple of days caching in the Hunter, we thought that we would do one more cache. This turned out to be quite a challenge as to start with our co-ords were showing no where near where we eventually found the cache. We headed over to where the cache was located after a few minutes, but looked far too deeply into the dark recesses and walking across the thick grass was a bit of a chore each time. Eventually we decided to PAF as we were wanting to get home after a 180 km drive, so we called Latanzi and thankfully he was available and within a few moments I had the cache in hand.
We understood the hint, but what stuffed us up was not knowing how far out you had to look!
Thanks mrknexpert.

I had to PAF before finding success with this cache. My phone and gps both put me at least 10m away. I stood no hope, looking out in the long grass. The Google earth view is where it put me, not on the roadway where it should have shown. The post it note book is falling apart already.

Heard the notification come through (at some unearthly hour), but waited for daylight. It didn't help tho.
Spent about ¾ hour check it all out, even out to 40 m from GZ. Mind you, I didn't see anything relating to the additional hint, but something that looked like 13 (but could be 'B'), and further away a 14.
Even got my 'autoscope' out of the car and checked some spots I couldn't get my head around.
Will try again. Collected a far of rubbish, and double checked it in the hope that it wasn't well hidden in that. Even had some locals stop and check that I was okay.
So, First to Log a DNF! (Tho there appeared to be some 'geotrails' around - even more now!)
