Hi Highrod,
This cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. The cache is being temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.
Whilst it is recognized that as a result of the current COVID19 situation, it might not be possible for a Cache Owner to just pop out and check on a cache, we still need to know that you are on top of the issue.
CO's of caches disabled during the current COVID19 crisis will be given some extra time to react. Caches where the cache owner does not currently feel it is safe to maintain will not be archived in the normal time frame, as long as there is some indication from the CO. **Don't let a lack of communication kill this cache.**
#What should you do:-#
- Should the Regional Health and State Government requirements allow it **AND** you feel it safe for you to maintain this cache now, please feel free to do so.
- **Alternatively,** what you need to do is place a Write Note log indicating a date when you expect/hope you might be able to attend to the issue/s.
#Please Note#
When the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment from the CO as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned and processed accordingly.

Funnily enough this one was in the first twenty of our finds, but then after a few months of caching I split and became a cacher on my own. Sadly, I didn’t find it this time. Thanks anyway
Tftc. This one had us looking high and low and around and around. The GPS was jumping everywhere. Found a cute little drain tunnel.
Heading to St. Arnaud for the mega event. Day 68 of our trip. Caching along the way. A total of 4 for the day and 1890 for the trip. TFTC
Out and about today and unfortunately did not find this cache. I shall return another day.
Heading towards the CITO later in the day at Napoleon in the excellent company of Phetlern and Alansee. Like all good Geocachers we left early to find more caches along the BSRT. Here in spite of a concerted search we not only raised the pulse but our combined blood pressure as the cache continued to elude us. May need checkin highrod

TFTC. We had spent the night at Smythesdale. Instead of heading back to Maryborough we decided to stay an extra night. This enables us to spend time in Buninyong. Our aim was very specific first and foremost we wanted to find this cache to full in a month on our Ausmere/Jasmere grid. After that yet here was a puzzle with a high D/T that we had solved , this would fill in another positryion on the grid. We had nominated November for our multi month challenge, there were 4 multi available .After that we just found the odd cache as we went by. Happy to say that our aims were achieved . 17 caches found and one DNF.
While in the nearby cemetery we quickly access the path to find this one.

Our apologies for the generic logs, they do not mean that we think any less of the caches or the placement of them.
Today we have decided to camp here at Smythesdale for a few days and go cache hunting in the area plus head into Ballarat to have a look around. We enjoyed the walk along the trail, we met with an interesting man walking two dogs who told us that about 100 meters ahead a snake had had a go at his dog. He also mentioned that the trail is known for there being quite a few snakes along it, so we picked up a nice sized stick to hopefully protect ourselves if needed and there was no need we did not see any snakes. All caches that we found today are in condition but one which we have put a maintenance log on. SL TFTC

All rugged up for a cold Ballarat day, after the Napoloens Tree Planting Event, we set off to seek out some of the caches in the Smythesdale- Scarsdale area.
We reached this one from the cemetery and it was so cold, we did wonder about different pulse rates either side of the fence!
Thanks 'Highrod' for this placement.

It has been ages since we (BettyBoo3747 and I) came to Ballarat and completed the BSRT. Since then it has grown somewhat, but we hadn't returned. This weekend we have teamed up with Chewin (Howard from Howjen567) to correct this oversight.
We started with a DNF at Linton, but after that our luck improved and we collected most of the caches available.
A love ride along the tree lined route. We managed to avoided the weather until the very last cache, and even then only got a bit damp.
Thanks, Robmc.

#14043. Our first full day of caching in the area. We met Howard of Howjen567 at Smythesdale and headed to Linton to ride the BSRT back to Smythesdale. We picked up a neat 50 on the trail with 2 DNF's. We logged our first find at 9.30am and the last find at 12.50pm. The weather was perfect for riding and we managed to stay ahead of the rain until about the last 500 metres into Smythesdale. The temperature also plummeted to a chilly 17 degrees in a matter of minutes.
It was an absolutely fantastic ride and the first find of the morning brought my total cache finds to 14,000 so that was a great start to the day. It is a pity it wasn't the one at the start of the trail at the station but alas that seems to be missing in action with a string of DNF's to its name.
Indeed we are doing well on our ride and all 3 of us still have a pulse. This container has been wet and the log book bag was torn. We wiped out the container and I left the log book in a new plastic bag. The front of the book looks a bit worse for wear from the damp and mould but the rest of the book is just fine so that is why we didn't replace it too.
A pretty ride through the pines from here and past the cemetery, very pleasant smelling the scent of the pine.
Thanks Highrod

Day 2 riding the BSRT, after coffee and cake for afternoon tea, on our way back to Linton. Contents wet. TFTC
Finally found some time to have a go at this trail today... something I've always wanted to do even before i discovered geocaching but now have a bigger reason to do it. Jumped on the deadly-treadly and made it from Alfredton to Nimmons Bridge in Scarsdale. Over 40 caches found which is one of my highest find days so far and 3 DNF'S. Thx to all the CO's for putting caches along here for us to find.
After struggling at the previous needlepoint, this one was a simple find as it was left out in the open. SL and rehid in a more traditional way next to where i found it. Tftc again highrod.

TFTC - A great day out with team Crack'n'LeeLee riding from Smythesdale to Linton & return.
Had we been finding this after riding from Haddon to BSRT-Pink Bells and back in the wind, the answer would have been 'only just' but for now, riding with the wind, all okay. TFTC Highrod.
Out and about on a rail trail expedition with Jascat and Mark9375. Love the name! Nice hide. TFTC.

This was an easy find on a day where we were walking from Smythesdale to Nimmons bridge. I think it was around here that we really started to appreciate the easier caches as our time checks were getting more and more frequent. It's amazing how much longer a walk takes when you keep darting off the track to find yet another cache! Thanks for placing the caches along this trail.
1:22:00 PM. Back walking the trail. A cooler day with some showers around. A good day to be out walking as it wasn't too hot. Found and log signed. Don't know about a pulse but we weren't touching the fence to find out. Thanks highrod for placing this cache.
Having a son living hereabouts I figured doing this trail was going to happen sooner or later. Organized it for Easter but many other family members thought it was a great idea too and came along. Trouble was I'm pretty much the only cacher among them all so we passed by quite a few in the interests of keeping the momentum flowing.
Needless to say I'll have to do it again sometime. Still got a few though!
Thanks
Nearly logged a DNF here but did find it.

The aim for today was to go to the furtherest point on the rail trail and work our way back to see how far we'd get. Only doing the ones we can get to easily from access points as we're walking. We had one DNF for the day and hopefully all the walking can counteract some of the overindulgences of our holiday. Apologies for the generic logs. TFTC
I see dead people.
The 3FW's from SA have invaded Ballarat and headed for the BSRT. Find, sign, cycle, repeat... Saturday was a great day to be on the trail. Fog at the beginning and the sun just coming out at the end. We found all of the caches except two. One was missing and we left a replacement log. The other was just too good for us. You can't find them all.

Day 2 of our caching trip to Ballarat with Freddo and Team Waldron, we had an ejoyable ride along this trail finding the caches as we went, logs were signed 3FW to save space in the log books.TFTC
Heading over to Ballarat for a caching weekend and picking up a few caches on the way.
We managed to find about 230 caches in 3 days/ot bad work for 3 old guys
This series was why we came over to Ballarat.
We woke to a misty day and luckily it stayed overcast until we finished.
It was interesting to see the cache hides change as the hiders changed. We weren't fans of the bison tubes in the trees but that's the way it goes sometimes.
We missed a few but it didn't matter too much as there are lots more to find.
Thanks for an excellent series.

Afternoon bike ride from Smythesdale to Old Glenelg Road. Good weather and good easy finds . TNLN TFTC highrod.
We are out with the geofamily doing some caches today, we all have our bikes, and we are ready to roll, this first one went to Geohubby.. The little blue man....
I drove my hire car to the Shell in Smythsdale with the plan to cycle to Linton. Only part of the plan was that my pocket query ran out at this cache [:o]. Back to Plan B; cycle back to Ballarat! Ooops! Thanks for the cache highrod; I'll be back to complete the rest of the trail tomorrow.
Left Melbourne yesterday, and set up camp at the Creswick Caravan Park.
After Alansee and Team Crackers arrived, we enjoyed the open fire place in the camp kitchen.
Today we headed out on the bikes, to attempt another section of the rail trail.
Once again, we were not disappointed with the variety of good quality hides.
A fun day was had, in the company of good friends.
Many thanks for placing this series of caches, highrod, for us and others to find.

Camping at Creswick for the weekend with The Drovers & Alansee with one of the main aims being to grab some of this rail trail whilst alansee & The Drovers finished it off.
We started at Barbed Burl and worked our way right through to Linton.
We really enjoyed the ride although the head wind was a bit annoying at times and we were happy that we only had one DNF for the whole lot although some did have us looking for quite awhile.
We all enjoyed the variety of hides and some of the fantastic scenery that we saw along the way.
We are really looking forward to returning to complete the rest.
Thanks for the series, we apologize for the generic log, there were too many in a short amount of time to remember them all individually.

Quick find with Tassie expat while exploring this great area. Thanks for placing these caches.
We are staying in Smythesdale for a couple of nights. Being conveyed to Linton to do the BSRT back to Smythesdale plus grab a couple of others. Most grateful that I included the "LRT" (log recovery tool) in my pocket as it came in handy to retrieve several logs from their caches. The ride was pleasant, cool enough for no wriggly-sticks.
Trying to make a note for each cache with an average spacing of about 200M on one's own when cycling is virtually impossible and to recall each of dozens of caches at the end of a day just wouldn't happen. Sorry for the generic logs.
It is great (we don't think so) that we cannot get NBN and have to use mobile data internet. Our service either goes "down" to at best very slow. Sometime soon my finds of 12/10/2015 will all be logged.
Thanks to cache owners for the experience.
Enjoyed the flora and fauna along the trail.
Have just had a reality check - solo riding on a cache bombed trail is far more time consuming than estimated. From here on if a hide is not quickly found, it will be logged as a DNF to ensure the clock does not well and truly get me into further "time debt"!

Out on a lovely hot day caching with Stashaa. Great series along the Ballarat Skipton Rail Trail. Nice, easy, quick find. Thanks For The Cache highrod.
A beautiful day for tidying up some green on the trail today with The Glanville Girls. Thanks for the caches highrod.
After finding a particularly nasty blackberry, SirJ-Oz made the find. We picked this cache up at 11:46am.
SirJ-Oz, Annoying Tarbit and I hatched a plan to head to the east and pick up some of the caches along the Ballarat to Skipton Rail Trail. I had been here just over 2 years previously with group to collect the first half, so it was well time to come and collect the rest. gmj3191 (a member of the previous group) and BernieH also joined us, along with non-caching Pam.

Today was all about the BSRT series from Smythesdale to Linton. This was find #10 of #55, with #1 DNFs thrown in for good measure.
After diverting for a visit to the multi in the cemetery, we returned to the BSRT. I managed to locate the container here, but also located a nasty blackberry thicket (well just one stem actually) which managed to ensnare me, not once, but twice.. and draw blood on both occasions.
After writing all our names on the previous cache which I had the log, I decided that an abbreviated version of our collective would be enshrined on the log as TEAM BLAGS... much to LouiseAnn's disgust (which makes it all that much better to use).
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache highrod

Another fine plan from LousieAnn to tackle the Smythesdale to Linton section of Ballarat to Skipton Rail Trail and hunt the caches along the way. We arrived with 6 bikes and 4 cars so once we had headed to leave my car at the end point for later we were off. A bumper day of 61 finds for me including 54 finds and 3 DNFs on or near the rail trail. We had the luck of a beautiful spring day and tee-shirt heat as we pedalled our way through this very pleasant countryside.
The quick route from the multi cache in the cemetery was navigated and we were back on the trail. I waited a little while for the group to catch up and as we approached this one BernieH was quickest to make the find. Thanks to highrod for the cache and this excellent series and thanks to my companions for great company on a fun day of caching.

Today was spent cycling the Smythesdale to Linton section of the Ballarat to Skipton Rail Trail.
Our group was composed of LouiseAnn, BernieH, Sir J-Oz, Annoying Tarbit and wife Pam.
We had a great time. I haven't kept detailed notes on all finds but one or two stood out for a special mention.
It was a magnificent day, getting up to about 18 degrees, and for the most part was sunny with no wind. We generally felt this section was a bit more interesting than the previous section which most of us rode about two years ago.

Travelled up to Ballarat from Melbourne to do the BSRT between Smythesdale and Linton with some friends. Met gmj3191 (and GeoWife Pam), LouiseAnn, SirJ-Oz and Annoying Tarbit at Smythesdale where we organised a car drop to Linton and then commenced or ride at about 10:30 am. Enjoyed some great scenery and cache hides along the way and finished in Linton at about 4:30 pm.

Well a few days in Ballarat has turned into a fortnight.
Today though it was time to say Goodbye to Ballarat (well almost) as we moved to Smythesdale.
Was nearly 2pm before we jumped on our bikes to tackle some more of the BSRT.
We saw lots out and about today, including ........... wait for it.............. Some sunshine! [:o)]
Also saw lots of horses, cows, sheep, goats, dogs, muggles and even a dead fox.
The weather was fairly mild compared to what it's been so a very enjoyable cycle ride until the sun disappeared at dark o'clock then the last little bit of the ride was very chilly.

They were happy to do the scrambling, climbing and crawling. I think I might loan a couple next time I go caching! Contents etc, all in good condition. TFTC.
Found with Samus1, Geniejoan, 08151605 and Mi5sie as we set out to find some caches and enjoy a lovely walk. great to see some smiles appearing as we continue on. TFTC

Thanks for bringing me here.
Thanks for bringing me here.
After the last two hunts this was rather short. Phoscdy and TaurusSix had it while I was photographing toadstools.
Headed to Ballarat today with the bogonghazys to complete the BSRT series, the symbol series and to pick up a few extra smilies along the way.
Finally got this one crossed of also. Thanks highrod

Having a day off midweek meant I could come up to B'rat with Tess the geodog and Sorceysal and try to complete the series without the weekend crowd. This was a quick find on the ride today, and nice to see these good sized containers making it a little easier to locate. Thanks again for your contribution to the series highrod.
Just passed the back of the Scarsdale Cemetery and we had thoughts of doing a multi in here, but we'll leave it and do it on the way home. We found this cache easily and logged it and headed off on our journey.
Thanks highrod.
Thanks highrod.
Found by Mary & David at 1453. A great day on the BSRT at last. The views everywhere were just great, and the many information signs were fascinating. The ride took about 8½ hours, for 63 finds and 1 DNF. Our thanks to highrod.
We were offered free accomodation in Ballarat for the weekend, so put the bikes in the back of the 4WD and decided to have a caching weekend in the Victorian goldfields.
we headed from Scarsdale to Smythesdale. We enjoyed this bake path. TFTC

Main reason for being in Ballarat was to ride this rail trail. Had heard about it from one of the CO's a couple of years when we met out Phillip Island way (on another rail trail) but these two days were first chance I had to get down here.
Found all caches bar one....which was towards end of the series. All up, a good ride and a fun way to spend a few hours grabbing a few caches.
Thanks to alll the CO's. Apologies for the generic logs.

Thanks for the cache Fergzter.
What else do geocachers do when having a weekend away geocaching[?]
Take some friends and make it a darned good weekend!
Moneydork, Tounga, Sushilord, Uni & Medusa, Skippy & Audra and myself headed to Ballarat and we had a blast!
Enjoyed tea with some local geocachers on Saturday night: Sully1, Bogong Hazy and Snaphappy [^]
Kayaked on Sunday and then rode pushbikes too
The things we do for geocache finds, I haven't been on a bike for years!
All up, I found 113 caches and had 4 DNFs
We even managed to find some that we had DNFd last time!
I apologise now for the generic logs on these caches. I am unexpectedly heading back to the area now, about 5 weeks later, and am madly logging so that I know what I have and haven't found.
Please understand that due to some issues this end, I have been short on time and therefore haven't logged these as I would normally do, with a seperate comment for each cache.
I thank each and every cache owner for the wonderful caches which we found in the suburbs and in the bush!
