A leisurely walk after an event in Daylesford with Wombatwandering. I needed at least 3 letterboxes for a challenge and WW needed one for a calendar challenge so we wete here for them . But we stopped to do this multi too. The coordinates were found quickly but then a very long search for the cache occurred. Both our phones said it was on the other side of the river and Wombatwandering went over twice to no success. A quick call to a previous finder confirmed we needn't have got that wet. But still no joy, so back to the first WP to check we'd got the coordinates right. Yes we had. So another long seach before WW made the find. Our phones showed 9m out, but it's there.
Ugh, this one gave us some trouble. We found the first stage and picked up the hi tech TOTT. Then we headed to GZ, or what we thought was GZ. Our maps and coords both put it on the far side of the creek but nothing was found there. Crossed back and forwards before ConnieandRick used a PAF. They confirmed we were on the wrong side and stated it was an easy find. We looked but still couldnt find this easy cache. I decided to return the TOTT, since wed read it was no longer needed, and double check the coords. Turns out they were correct so I rejoined ConnieandRick on the search. Finally spotted it. Glad to cross it off. Thanks.
Next stop for my day out and took the direct way from the nearby dirt road. Container at the WP was found without issue and with the final co-ords now in hand, it was a short to find the cache. Cache was found...and these are always a bit of fun, however as mentioned by another cacher, this one has been broken, so the log was easy to get to. Signed that, put everything back as found and then head back up the hill for a nearby LBH.Thanks for this one Wakkatoo...enjoyed the area around GZ with a bit of flowing water.
Walked to WP1 and quickly found the hi tech geo tool in the host container got the coordinates for GZ. I then went and set in motion the hi tech geo tool. Found the host at GZ and unfortunately it has been damaged and the cache is easily obtainable without using the hi tech geo tool. Cute little multi with cute scenery. Saw a couple of wallabies and a kangaroo on my way into di this multi! TFTC!!
Went on a walk with n0w0rries and nirgalagrin between the 2 CITOs today. Great opportunity to grab some caches further away from home! Loved the hi-tech geo tool!
13:52A break from doing the driving honours between today's two planting events by taking a stroll along the Goldfields Track with BlackOpal2005 and n0w0rries, visiting a few Letterboxes. And of course, this cache nestled between them.We were intrigued as to the nature of the High-Tech Geo Tool, and had a good chuckle when we found out. Of course, now we knew what we were in for.And also of course... it took two bites of the cherry to get hold of the log. Thanks, Wakkatoo. I always enjoy this type of cache.#8924
Found with nirgalagrin and BlackOpal2005 whilst Letterboxing our way along the creek.Multi-caches are my favourite type, and this was an excellent addition. Thank you for the cache, the high tech geotool and for bringing us to a natural feature we would otherwise have walked straight past.Signed as Team nBn.
Found by Mary and David at 14:20. Detoured to find this on the way back from "Redback Letterbox" Found the coordinates and the HTGT quickly, and the cache soon after. The HTGT worked as advertised. Our thanks to Wakkatoo.
Find No. 4492. Found with FUF009 at 3.08pm.For the last day in 2022 we loaded the pushbikes and went caching down at the Woodlands, so for this year we thought we would do a similar thing. For the last day of 2023 we went to Creswick and done the 'Letterboxes Trail' and the 'Goldfields Track - (Wallaby)' on our pushbikes.First up we done three letterboxes before tackling the Goldfields Track. Riding the Goldfields Track, we continued along this until the end, finding the caches as we rode. After finishing the Goldfields Track we then headed back to find the eight Letterbox caches we had left still to find, plus a multi that was also along the way. which was this one.Like FUF009 said, we got to the first waypoint okay but it took a bit of rock scrambling and tree jumping to get to the final location of the cache. We had an enjoyable day riding our pushbikes through the bush area and finding the caches along the way. There were parts we had to walk our bikes, as we went over trees on the tracks, went through huge puddles and came across thorny bushes and reeds. We kept an eager eye out for wriggly sticks - luckily none sighted but we did spot one wallaby that we got up quite close to before it took off.On completion of the trail and letterboxes we found 27 caches and had one DNF.With many more caches down this way we will have to return with our pushbikes again.TFTC
Find # 13260Found with Tyred n Cranky.Last day of 2023, we decided to load up the push bikes and head to Creswick, for the letterboxes trail and "Goldfields Track" along the Wallaby track.Well I did call them push bike as my bike fitness obviously is on a low as I think I spent more time pushing than riding the bike. But the couple of single track sections we stumbled across (while shortcutting between caches) were rather fun. And the speed on the long downhill sections was a rush. We had it all from trees over roads/tracks and large puddles to navigate. Reeds and thorny bushes well over head height. Ironically the only wildlife we seen was a single wallaby. By end of trail we had 27 finds and 1 DNF. 15 Trads11 Letterboxes1 MiltiWith many more in the Creswick area, we have a few more days to spend down here.Got the posted waypoint OK. But took a bit of rock scrambling and tree jumping to get to GZ. Thankfully we had enough to get the cache exposed. TFTC Wakkatoo
This cache had me intrigued from go to woo ... found set of coordinates and HTTT.. opted not to use mine that would be precious today ..loved the location of GZ ..but my Geo senses were asleep and it took me a while to find the cache..I then opted to use macgiver skills to grab the cache..
This was a fun one! Found it while out for a walk with Nelzarama and the kids. Such a beautiful spot too, thank you!
Stumbled upon this gem while working through the letterbox series. A truly enjoyable gadget cache; my first of this kind, despite having seen them online and wanting to try. Navigated through the bushes, retrieved the cache successfully, logged it, and put it back. Thanks for the cache!
I decided to this one after finding 5 out of a planned 7 Letterbox caches. I had parked at St George's Lake so it was a there and back kind of day!
I'm not very good at multi tasking so I was glad the layout was as it was.
I read the description & thought Multi? How is that a multi? Off I set to quickly discover that it is indeed a multi...........
For some reason my map location had been off all day but navigating to caches fairly good. I managed to forget that fact as I studied the map, put my phone in my pocket & headed off........... I hit a large hurdle & went back & forth for a while trying to pick my assault......... Decision made, I made a quick check on the map!!!! Just as well really. I ignored the physical features & went on distance alone...... Even then, I rummaged around for a while in some pretty rough bush but eventually spotted what I was looking for
Many thanks for the challenge. I was so busy having a 2 sided self critical conversation with myself afterwards (an Audhd thing apparently) that I walked straight past the next Letterbox

I was checking out my profile stats on Project GC yesterday and started thinking about setting some goals for my caching. Last year I was aiming to complete a 366 day streak, logging caches each day. Unfortunately that was interrupted by an accident which put me out of commission for a few months and therefore the plan was scuttled. I noticed that I wasnt far off getting my first diamond badge, all I needed to find were five letterbox caches. I checked out my map and saw that feathertop had kindly placed a letterbox series just for my convenience, well how could I say no.
This was a side quest from the letterbox trail I was following. It is a fun gadget in a beautiful riparian spot. Absolutely worth it, thanks!

Thanks Wakkatoo for placing this cache along this lovely trail and contributing to this great game. Lot of evidence of fossicking, wonder how much gold we’re walking over! Happy trails, Deanside
After the Maker Magic event we thought we really should have a look at the letterboxes that we saw photos of at the event. Deanside and I parked at the western end and did the first cache, then realized we should park a car at either end, so all the rest were done from the western end.
Luckily I was not doing these ones alone as I completely failed to recognize the HTGT, fortunately Nola did.
She engaged the tool, but the structure has been a bit damaged and it really was not necessary.
Nice idea for a cache though.
Thanks, Robmc.

I was in the area getting the letterboxes on the trail so what the heck this was added to my to do list. WP1 was a quick find and once I saw the skillfully crafted and highly technical TOTT I knew exactly what was required having found this type of cache on several occasions before. The final GZ was quickly located and the log obtained for signature.
Ghihash and I made plans to do the GeoTour in Ballarat today, on our way to Ballarat we stopped in Creswick to stretch our legs and grab a few letter box caches on our way through. We then back tracked into Creswick to the red fox bakery for lunch before starting the GeoTour.
This one has ghihash stumped as he used the tool but as I had a quick look we worked out what we had done wrong and lucky the creek was close by to reattempt it.
The thorny bushes took some working around but I enjoyed this cache

I made such a hash of this cache! I found WP1 easily enough and borrowed the tool in order to retrieve the cache at GZ. Found plenty of what was needed easily enough. For some reason I had GZ on the other side of the creek. . . Something didn't feel right so I crossed back over and soon enough spotted the container. For future finders: you don't need to cross the creek!! I made a rookie error at GZ so then had to use some of my own 'stuff'. Luckily it's a freezing cold day and don't need all mt 'stuff' to complete this walk! Always love a gadget cache.

*Cache find # 14213.*
I was out this way on the trail of finding a number of letterbox caches and as I was going by this one, I had to stop and see what it was all about as I had no idea what a HTGT was.
Found the first waypoint easy enough and then I realised what the HTGT was but I also though that it is so dry out here, where will I be able to fill it up.
I then headed for the final waypoint and once in the area, I started searching around for what I was needing to find, I must have walked passed it a couple of times before passing it again from a different direction and this was when I spotted it, now for the HTGT, there was one small spot in a very dry creek bed that had what was needed, after that the cache was soon retrieved but the log was just falling to pieces so I replaced it with a small logbook which I stamped.
The HTGT was replaced at the posted and I was on my way.
**Thanks to Wakkatoo for placing this cache.**

Found the waypoint with the final coordinates and headed off. Getting a bit protected with some prickly shrubs and a phone that had me scrambling about. Eventually settled and found the well constructed cache. Took a photo of it as the top was jammed tightly on and way beyond my strength capabilities to remove. Lovely spot TFTC Wakkatoo
Thanks for another cache Wakkatoo, Found the first GZ quite well, however the second one was quite the struggle. Ended up scrambling and bush bashing to the location only to find the Cache had not been put back properly and was right down on the waters edge, However it was retrieved easy enough. And return it back to what looks to be its nesting position. Thanks for the cache!
Chook got out of the house for another hike with her good friend Wendy, and today we walked from St Georges Lake to Cosgroves Dam, via the Koala Park and Eaton Dam. This was a little detour we made along the way and we enjoyed being shown the examples of past mining in the area. We had our own HTGT with us, so once we had the coords, we picked and sorted our way to GZ, eventually spotting the cache after a few minutes. The log was quite fragile but Chook managed to get "chook" onto it without risking it disintegrating. Sorely wished we had packed a spare RITR logsheet for you. The way out was a bit easier - ain't that always the way! TFTC Wakkatoo.
Geocaching has taken me on many adventures over the years all over Australia and overseas. It has also introduced me to a brilliant and diverse group of people, many of whom are now close friends.
Today I was lucky enough to be out and about so I targeted this cache.
Multis are usually not my thing, so it wasn't surprising to me to find a lot in my found database that hadn't been logged.
Sorry for the late log, but thanks for adding to the adventure!
Thanks Wakkatoo (F=392 H=26) for placing this cache and adding to our game.

After having a great time at the Ballan Birthday event we joined forces with micaparamedic and headed to Creswick to try our luck at a few multi's as we are trying to build up multi numbers this year and collecting other nearby caches as well including puzzles we have solved.
We headed off to this one chatting away merrily and realised that it was time to get back into caching mode so we followed the GPSr needle to a nice easy find of wpt1 where we learnt where the log book could be found and took the HTGT with us a little concerned that it may not work after all these years. Getting to gz I think that we increased the terrain rating to at least 3.5 by following the GPSr. Once there we walked straight passed the cache and started searching in the wrong location and then we saw where the GPS's were pointing and sure enough there was also the cache. We used the HTGT and were very happy when it worked exactly as it would off when it was brand new. These tools are quite a good little invention. We were soon adding our names to the log and replaced everything back as it was and then found a much easier way back to the track.
Many thanks Wakkatoo for the hide and a bit of fun, a favourite point from us.

Legs were starting to feel a bit tired by now.
Prison legs you see. Not used to walking 1km or more these past few months.
Up hills, through the bush, bush bashing down to the river.
Perfect location to stop and relax. Didn't want to get back up.
Just heaven here by the creek.
A FP from me.

A great little multi highlighting two beautiful spots. The creek was a great place to stop and soak up the bush. Even better to be soaking up such a beautiful spot after so much time in lockdown. Will remember this area. THanks for the hide and highlighting this spot
lovely little spot for a cache, even better for the multi that you have created. It was a lovely walk along the tracks to the GZ but then that's when It got interesting with my GPS playing up and then walking through all kinds of prickles and bushes. the serenity in this location is like no other from the sounds of the birds to the running of the water. The construction of this caches was awesome especially with the special extraction tool. The log will need replacing as it is quite wet and falling apart. Thanks for bringing me to this location. Off I trotted.
Lo and behold,
a cache container.
A bit of muckin' about later,
and the logbook was in paw

Found while exploring the area, the heavens had opened and we were wet from our last adventure, so we thought we may as well keep going and see if we could add this smile too, after gathering the required information, we carefully headed out for the final, trying to avoid the deeper puddles and slippy ground from the rain, we made it to GZ, and using the very elaborate HTGT we managed to retrieved the log, sign and replace, thanks for the cache and the fun
Find #1860 for me. Found at 2:40pm while on a regular trip to Ballarat from Bendigo, re-visiting the area to find some more caches along Creswick Creek. Well, this was certainly an interesting one for me today. Before setting out I had an idea about what it might be. As it turned out I was right but I didn't come prepared to complete it as I didn't want to carry any extra weight. Once at the posted coordinates it wasn't long before I found what I needed. Oh, so that's what the Hi-Tech Geo Tool is! Well I now had what I needed but having done this type of cache before I also knew that a partner comes in very handy and today I was alone. So I thought I'd visit GZ, confirm what and where the final container was, and return here another day to complete it. But after scrambling to GZ to make the find I soon changed my mind and decided to have a go at completing it alone today since I was already in the area. So I made my way back to the posted coordinates to grab the HTGT before scrambling back to GZ to complete the final step... but even then, after using the HTGT, the log was just out of reach. So, what other tools do I have? Groping around madly in my geo-bag with my one free hand I soon found something that might help and thankfully it worked and I was able to access the log and add my name... Eureka! No return visits required for me! At least not to complete this cache. The walk here really was lovely so it is quite likely I'll be back one day just for that. After signing the log I returned the HTGT to its home before heading off to my final cache for today at Eatons Dam. Thanks for this very well-constructed cache Wakkatoo and thanks for the cache! Favorite point from me for the great effort!
A quick and easy find during our walk around Creswick.
Seeing a lot of this kind of cache lately.

This one hasn't had a find in over 12 months so I set about rectifying that.
A really humid experience this morning but WP1 revealed all I needed to know and the well put together cache worked as planned.
Not a lot of H2O in the creek at the moment.
Thanks Wakkatoo

Nice one Wakkatoo. Great singletrack as well. Hope to give it a scoot sometime soon
Found gz for the HTGT after a nice walk in.
Critters must have extracted your container as was laying trackside. Grabbed special tool and coordinates and headed for log gz. Located same and proceeded to utilise special tool as intended. This was a really fun multi for us. Really appreciate your effort. Returned Special tool and coordinates. Refitted special tool container into its correct position.

Another nice little walk to listed co-ords. No worries with local creatures. It was still too cool. Lots of human activity around with the mines though. Used your wonderful high Tech tool to retrieve the cache and then replaced everything as found.
Nice little twist on the common here. A fav. point coming your way again.

A beautiful day for geocaching, Bogonghazy and I took the geodogs and headed to Crewswick. Collected some lovely caches in a beautiful area of the countryside. Found the starting point very quickly and located the cache. Loved the final location, very serene. Many thanks for sending us out to this gorgeous area.
Decided to take the 2 geodogs along with Leetalicious for a day's caching in and around Creswick.
A beaut day for the middle of the week had us parking at the sideroad above and walking down to wp1. Nice to see a big container here, and the necessary tool to help get the log. This really is a nice little creek, and would be great in SUmmer to cool the feet and relax. My thanks to Wakkatoo for this well constructed and fun cache, with spot on coords as well.
Adding a fave point, love a little difference with the interactive theme

Found with dehands. This was our first look at a multi last year, but waypoints were so foreign to us we couldn't complete it! This is great. TFTC
My good caching mates the suscoe cachers suggested that we head back up the highway for another days caching around Ballarat. It did not look very promising on the way up as it was overcast and drizzling rain but on our arrival the weather cleared and we had a long dry warm day's caching.
I have not been to this area before and after gathering the required information we found the well hidden container using our own extra caching tool which we carry at all times, after signing the log it was time to head off to the next on our list.
Thanks to Wakkatoo for placing another cache for us to find.

Suscoe was in the Ballarat area today in the very good company of our caching mate Bushfire.
It was a pretty big day with an early start.
Rainy drizzle accompanied us early and then some sunny breaks found us as the day went by.
With mild temperatures we enjoyed the travels.
This one was a nice walk in the bush and we arrived at the listed co-ords to find what we needed, but luckily we had brought our own supplies.
The bush is so dry here, our recommendation at the moment is for any searcher to BYO!!!!!
Anyway we arrived at GZ, spotted the camo and set about extracting the cache with our own High Tech Caching Tool.
Log signed and we replaced it for the next searcher.
Such a dry country we live in!!!!!!

What a cool cache! Was the first time i`ve come across one of these, and was extremely fun to do. The creek was running and very calming. Tftc

A quick check on a wet day, this needed some fixing as people had been trying to remove the cache at the final coords. Please leave it in its position, just take the cap off.
Next on our walk through the area raised the question as to whether there would be enough time for a multi. Well, we all know the answer to that question don't we?
We quickly found stage 1 and were off to GZ where, after a short search, slacas spotted the hide right on noon. Unfortunately, the final stage has seen better days so the 'tool' wasn't needed for the retrieve. Some TLC might be needed to return it to its former glory.
Nice area for a hide.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Wakkatoo.

Still trailing our muggle co-bushwalkers we decided to check this multi before deciding if we had time to stop. Not much persuading needed when we quickly found WP1 and found that GZ was only a short walk away. Had our own HTGT so we left the original in place, but as it turned out when we spotted GZ we didn't need a tool to retrieve the log book. Signed at 12 noon and continued the chase to catch the others.

Out caching today with 4 year old geokid. We hit this trail in the hope to grab this cache and the one a little further up which classifies as unloved (more than 6 months without a find). So we dropped master 6 at school then headed out here. I had done my homework so was prepared with 3 geo tools today. WP1 was an easy find then off we went. Soon found the cache. We were thankful to have 3 geo tools as one wasn't enough. I think the hole in the bottom of GZ was to big and hindered us. So then we used the other two geo tools and grabbed the cache. A quick sign and we were soon on our way. Thanks for a clever cache on a beautiful track.
Took the hike in to the first wpt then found the final, lucky we had the required tool and we were able to sign the log.
Thanks Wakkatoo for the Bushwalk.
Thanks Wakkatoo for the Bushwalk.
Our second multi in the Creswick area today in an attempt to clean out the area. Had tried to work away into this one just after I started caching but wasn't to keen on the walk back then.
We walked on from the last cache and soon found the first waypoint. Took what we need and headed off for the final. Found after a short search and then we soon had the cache. A favourite from us.
I enjoyed the walk of a few hundred metres to this one. WP1 was easily found and the high-tech item recognised immediately, although I actually wondered if it would be adequate for the job. Once at GZ I realised that it was well that I had my own bag of tricks and I was able to use a better unit than that provided!
As I really don't bother reading cache descriptions ahead of finding the cache I was a little surprised as to what I first found. Not to worry, I headed off to GZ. After a bit of mucking around I spotted the final hide. I had the tool, but there was a rather distinct lack of stuff to use with it. Happily I was able to make the most of the little there was and the log now has my mark.
Thanks for bringing me here.
Thanks for bringing me here.
Caching today with Motndarg and Tomstache with us all needing a cache to fill our 365 calender. We parked approximately 100 metres from the cache although a walk along the track would have been very nice. We made our way to the co-ords to find a good sized container with a 'tool' inside. We made our way to GZ, realising that we did not have the additional requirement to make the 'tool' work. Luckily, this was able to be obtained nearby GZ. We operated the cache and retrieved the log. We logged our find and replaced the cache. Thanks for the hide Wakkatoo, now for some arvo tea at the French patisserie in Creswick. The weather was perfect for the trek to this cache today.
Out with McLookers and Tomstache today. Found Waypoint 1 OK, got required equipment ,then headed for the cache's hiding spot. This was found after a short walk. Noticed a few puddles in the nearby creek after the recent rain, but the bush is still very dry. Enjoyed this one, thanks.
Thanks for the cache, cool cache, great camo. Wasn't what I expected it to be. A favourite from me.
Out for a day of gold fields discovery and caching in Creswick. Another nice walk in to the first container which was an easy find, then with said tool in hand off to the cache. Tip, trust your gps and don't go through the prickl;y stuff looking for the cache. Just enough tool content to release the cache. a favourite point for this one.
Thanks to Wakkatoo for this cache

Out hiding a couple more caches with the geoson. Riding back along the track, we did some cache maintenance. I think there has been some 'cheating' happening with this one so I took measures against it . Now all in good order.
Found them both, and left a small token of appreciation. No running water to use the hi-tech tool. Geo-kid told me not to bother carrying it and so he made me feel a little foolish.
On a great day a few caches out Creswick way were in order and the walk along the trail here was a pleasant surprise, this cache took a while with the special tool and a bit of a scramble. Nicely done.

6th find of the afternoon on the hunt with LionJRB. As soon as we found WP1, we knew what we were up for. Had a good scramble to the GZ with a pitstop on the way for another item to make the find. Thanks for the effort here Wakkatoo, even though this must be the 5th of 6th example of this hide type I have seen, it makes me smile every time. A fav for the effort.
Out caching this afternoon with Fergzter, this was a great little multi and a bit of fun. TFTC.
We thought it was time to try our first multi & it didn't disappoint. Thanks Wakkatoo for bringing us to this lovely spot. We didn't need the technical geo tool as we had our own. However we did forget to bring a pen so will have to return to sign the log.
Found 11:30, in the company of Muzza during a regular caching day out.
TNLN, thanks Wakkatoo.

I was out with Biggles Bear for a day's caching. After finding Waypoint 1, we headed to GZ with the special tool. GZ was quickly found and the tool used to grab the cache. Upon opening the cache, the log was empty. We presumed that this was just a new log, but on checking the hide date, we realised this was a new cache. This was a FTF for me as I'd found both parts. We really enjoyed the walk in from the road, and the final location. Thanks for the cache.
