I had to drop son2 in Belconnen for a couple of hours so I used the time to cache (instead of going home and back again). This was the first stop and the cache was nowhere to be seen.
Looked high and low, have found it previously but was no where in sight this visit.
Eventually found it about 14 metres from where the GPSr identified GZ. Don't bother with your GOS for this one... The hint is very literal, just search the hinted item, not anything else that might resemble the hinted item in wood form! TFTC
Muggled out at this one a few weeks ago but back today to finish the job. A quick find once the coast was clear. Thanks cam10.
A very quick find as we were driving by this area today. We were happy to see that no one was in the play park or we would have driven on, not being big fans of caches in play parks. Given it was so quiet on this beautiful spring morning, we were able to make the fine very quickly and disappeared off again.
Thanks for the cache

Nice simple find to cap off what was a nice day of caching. But a crappy day in general. TFTC
Out with Just a cacher for some late afternoon caching and this was a quick grab tonight.
Thanks for the cache cam10

Being able to take a short break this week we decided to travel south to get a few more caches that were in another area as well as take a short two day holiday before having to return to work in the very near future quick find made today in the rain SLTNLN thanks for the find Cam10
Out for a late night Geopuppy walk.
there were lights on at the near by oval, which lit the way.
Whilst Geopup stood guard, i soon made the find.
Nicely hidden cache
log was a little damp and getting full
Thanks cam10

Decided on a long day of caching in the ACT. and left home 3 am. Had a great day with 2 events involved as well. Lots of find and (unusually) lots of dnf's as well. Met some great people and the weather was at least dry today. Finally home and exhausted by 8 pm. Thanks for putting out this cache!

I am glad that was a quick find. I don't like having to snoop around kid's playgrounds. TFTC cam10.
Found 7 mar 2015 new log sheet needed.
My apologies for the late log. I found a list that I had neglected to enter.
Thanks for the hunt and the cache.

After waiting out the rain to go and get my daily it still wasn't letting up. So I eventually bit the bullet and went out...at night lol. Being this time of day I decided it would be a good time to nab a Mystery cache that was located at another playground. Well had to abandon that one due to nearby curious neighbourhood muggles.
Anyway, I decided to swing by this one not knowing it was at another playground. Searching for caches at playgrounds are really not my favourite-it's a dodgey look. But luckily for me the cache was easy to find as it was on the ground. Probably needs a magnet to secure it properly. Signed log, replaced where it should be and I was outta there.
Thanks for the hide, cam10

Out nearby picking up some paperwork for a friend and thought I would get a quick cache in.

Found @ 3:12pm
I'm pretty sure I've found a cache at this playground before. Anyway it was a quick re-visit to find the cache. Thanks cam10.

Found 11:05 pm. I needed to get out and do my daily cache but I got waylaid by a movie on the telly for a while. Figured out that this cache was probably a good candidate to go and track down. I was glad I was here in the dark with no kids or mums around with the place deserted I could search without concern or hindrance. Located the blighter which was fairly cleverly covered. Signed the log and then replaced the way it was. Snuck back to the car and back home. It felt like a quick grab and run. Thanks got the cache.
A quick find in a quite spot. No muggles about when I arrived at GZ. Two minutes later when I was ready to replace the container there was a muggle who decided to stop their car to see what I was doing. Easy to explain things away when I'm at work.

Normally I'm not a fan of cache in children's playground, but this was an easy find while the area was deserted on a cold evening just before dusk. Tftc

2nd attempt on this one, on account for a young family of muggles at the playground who kept a very close eye on me as I pulled up, so I left the find till a time I'd be by myself.
Thankfully at 5.45pm the place was pretty much empty, except for a jogger who didn't pay any attention to a guy wondering about with a torch pointed at the ground - probably thought I lost something.
I've been here a few times now, and once again it was a quick find. When I found it, it was pretty exposed so I tucked it away and gave it alittle cover.
Hopefully this one will last, don't overly like these hides...

FFLL no 2 was in the area feeding animals so she stopped for a quick driveby. Arrived at GZ to find a muggle in the playground who for some reason when they saw her decided to sit on a platform and do some exercises; so she had to wait until they finished and move on. Seeing the coast was clear, she headed across from the car, spotted the hide and quickly grabbed the cache and moved to away to sign the log. As she was signing she noticed the muggle had not moved on at all but rather took to hiding in the nearby bushes and watched her while she was in the playground. So she sat for a while and waited some more until they had walked off completely before replacing. Intense neighbourhood watch member.....TFTC
I spent ages on the wrong staircase before trying something different with immediate results. TFTC
A quick find.
The cache was somewhat exposed. I placed it back where it most likely lives, and gave it a little cover.
Thanks.

Thanks.
So I have to admit, this is probably my 4th attempt at finding this one. Each time I have been here before, there has been muggle children around or ive searched and searched and walked away due to muggles arriving. This time however, I had the location to myself. The GPS jumped all over the place and I resorted to putting it away and going with the geo-senses.
Within 5 minutes I had made the find!! Yes!!!! Finally !!!!! I was very relieved
Logging duties completed, cache returned and now it was time to head home.
Thanks for the daily find cam10.

... all that glitters is gold
Or it could just be paint (in a little plastic pot
I found this on 20 February ... After not finding it on 28/1 because a chatty little muggle wandered over and made it a bit hard to look - lol ... and also not finding it on 3/2 ... because either it was missing or I missed it ... I am sure I looked in the spot where I then found it next time I rode my bike that way, on 20/2 ... I must be getting old, or stressed, or stupid? ... Might also help to remember that stairs go down to places as well as up to places ... and that applies both to ladders and/or steep steps ... Or to other step type formations (like coppers logs that go up to where there are trees one might expect to find things in/under - lol
TFTC - nice little area to ride through ... nice enough that I didn't mind that I had to ride that way more than once - lol

There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold
And she's buying a stairway to caches.
When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for.
Ooh, ooh, and she's buying a stairway to caches.
There's a sign on the wall but she wants to be sure
'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings.
In a tree by the brook, there's a songbird who sings,
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it makes me wonder.
There's a feeling I get when I look to the west,
And my spirit is crying for leaving.
In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees,
And the voices of those who stand looking.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it really makes me wonder.
(Found on a nice morning around Belconnen. I've found a cache here before, obviously it's gone now, but good to see another here now. Parked right next to GZ, luckily there were no kids here today, so with the hint it was a nice easy find. Nicely hidden. Nice looking playground. TFTC cam10.)
And it's whispered that soon, if we all call the tune,
Then the piper will lead us to reason.
And a new day will dawn for those who stand long,
And the forests will echo with laughter.
If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now,
It's just a spring clean for the May queen.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on.
And it makes me wonder.
Your head is humming and it won't go, in case you don't know,
The piper's calling you to join him,
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow, and did you know
Your stairway (to caches) lies on the whispering wind?
And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul.
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold.
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last.
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll.
And she's buying a stairway to caches.

The dog was clean and I had some time for a change so I was looking for a nice easy walk in the suburbs so a lap of Scullin fitted the bill. Found quickly in between school kids passing by.
#1341 - 15:45; This was the third of four in this area for the afternoon. Made my way to GZ, identified the likely hide and voila, had cache in hand. Luckily there were no muggles about as I duly signed the log and replaced the cache in its hide. TFTC cam10
Reperio at 2100.
Headed down from Newcastle this evening for some caching in the lead up to the 10 year Earthcache event at Wasp Head on the weekend. With a few hours left in the day, I stopped by this one for a nice quick find in the dark.

A fun cache in a known area. Had to wait for some muggles to leave but made the find TFTC
There were a lot of muggles around so we had to leave and come back. I knew where it was but it still took a little while to find.

2706. A nice quick find once I worked out which stairway. Thanks cam10 for the cache.
Out on a Belco adventure with Sol de Lune. He already had a DNF on this so we thought we might give it another try and failing that, he could give me a bit of a push on the swing. Was there a swing there? I can't remember. We were amongst the inhabitants of Scullin when it was being built in 1969. Quick find today, Sol sticking to the "it wasn't there last time" story - yeah sure
