TFTC! Found on a lively Sunday walk with the geo-dogs. Found easily and took out some rubbish with me
We have travelled up from Sydney, to spend a week or so in Tamworth & Nundle for the April school holidays, staying at the Big4 Paradise caravan park in our Jayco Swan outback camper trailer. Today we were visiting Marsupial Park and Oxley Lookout, and targeting caches in those locations and others around the East Tamworth area. This was the 5th find of the day, 21st find of the holiday.
After our visit to Marsupial Park, and having had some lunch in nearby Viaduct Park, we were now off to Oxley Lookout but stopped off on the way to have a look for this cache. Parked the geomobile in Macquarie Street and then headed off across the dry brown grass, and up the slope, to GZ. And a quick check, of the most obvious greenery at GZ, saw us with CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC.

Staying in Tamworth for a few days with a few caches in mind. A great view of the Tamworth area. Soon had the CIH. **text**Found one lid clip broken. TFTC Whitey Wiskas.
Travelling in NSW, ACT & VIC on family related issues & why would I miss the opportunity to get a few caches along the way.
Quick find.
We found a 'fake grass' footpath nearby.
Weird! LOL ...

Linden/6 & Immyky, heading from Brisbane to ACT, following a few windmills along the way.
It would NOT be right to ignore all the caches en-route! LOL ...
Day 2, Tamworth to Orange.
Our 22nd cache on this trip.
Parked the Geo-beast & headed down to GZ but not before noticing how nicely trimmed the healthy green grass on the verge was.
On closer inspection we found why!
The footpath was covered with 'artificial turf!'
Anyway ... the cache!
A quick find, while huddled low, with black ants scurrying all over my thong clad feet.
All good here.
Left our mark & replaced as found.

finding a close park was interesting for this one, so we took a longer walk then probably necessary made a find, signed the log and wandered back to the car. Getting lots of steps up today. TFTC
On our way home to Belmont from Coonabarrabran via Tamworth.
Spotted fairly quickly due to the way it had been placed by previous finder. Not in grass BTW and didn't have to eat any leaves. Thanks WhiteyWiskas

Spent 2 nights in Tamworth, and geo-hubby went out to find some local caches.
Cache found after a short search, and in good condition.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Whitey Wiskas, for us and others to find.

Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat.
Today the GeoCruiser had to go in for a service so we headed down with the bikes on the back! 4degrees this morning dedication or what.
Off we rode for nearly 5 hours around Tamworth! Oh the things we have seen albeit finding caches along the way.
I'll huff and I'll puff but we got to the top of the damn hill. Then off to find the cache. Loved the view here.

A quick scoot up the hill and the cache was found. Thanks for bringing us here, Whitey Wiskas.
QLD Mega trip 2015 with Sol de Lune. On this almost 400km road trip we drove from Canberra to Stanthorpe caching in all the towns along the way with mostly great success. Around the Mega there were heaps of caches to be done including a few power trails. Despite the weather we got all of the planned caches done.
Day three was spent caching around Tamworth and then watching the cricket world cup at the amazing camp ground kitchen. Thanks.

Election Day for NSW. Rather than being inside putting numbers in little boxes, we were out and about this afternoon with fellow Victorians Ian & Penny, opening the little green boxes on our map of Tamworth. A nice quick find, but just touching this plant can be disastrous for some people!
Our thanks to Whitey Wiskas for bringing us here.

Hello from Nelson Bay, NSW! I'm up in Tamworth for a few weeks on uni placement, and of course geocaching! Found this on my way to the Peel St Markets. Cache in good condition, I took a coin and left an elephant trinket. TFTC!
Don't know about billy goat hill but I wish council would put a few billy goats on the hill or at least a mower. Grass in some places was above knee height.
Once at GZ cache was quickly in hand.
TFTC and the walk up the hill.

My three month Brisbane adventure has started. Day 5, Gunnedah to Armidale
Today, I was again up at six thirty to take the GeoSchnauzers for a walk in the "cool" of the morning, down tom the local park. Then we packed, and left the motel to get breakfast. At this point, I developed a soft spot for Gunnedah. The previous night, my motel key fell out of my pocket while I was giving the dogs their feed and evening walk. I had to knock up the motel keeper to get into my room. I retraced my steps, and found the key this morning. Then, just about to get for a brekky place, I looked for my wallet. No sign of it. Curses!!! Back to the motel. Not in the room. Not in the car or my luggage. The staff were sympathetic and helpful. I figured I'd dropped it somewhere between the pub where I'd had tea, and the motel. I'm chucking that set of daks - the pockets are too shallow. They rang the pub for me, and it was down there OK, and, it transpired, fully intact. That there is enough to have me coming back for ages. Thanks, Gunnedah!!! By now, of course, it's late - I didn't get away till 11:00. It's already 40 degrees. Oh well, park and grabs. At least the dogs had been fed and walked before all the drama.
No 2 of 22 today. Thanks, Whitey Wiskas. Great cache!! Great views. The dogs came on this one, and hid from the sun under the bush while I signed the log, and looked at the views.

Found at 12:39 PM GAFF1. The views are starting to go with the growth of the trees. A hundred years ago those trees would not have been allowed to grow that tall - they would have been valuable fire wood or building wood.
Thanks Whitey Wiskas.

Today we did a tour around Tamworth, we visited many parks, lookouts & the wonderful tributes to Country Music of which this town is so famous.
The caches we found were interesting & varied. The cachers of Tamworth should all be proud of their well maintained caches.

On a bit of an extended trip after the Dubbo show, we arrived in the dark but had a look for this anyway. Found after almost one full circuit of GZ. Thanks Whitey Wiskas.
Thanks for the cache. Its either a long walk up or down. Which ever way you look at it.
Getting to the pointy end of the long drive from Murray Bridge to Brisbane. Haven't driven this way for a while so it is great to see so many new caches! Only had an hour to spare in Tamworth so I tried to make the most of it. Thank you for placing this cache.
TFTC. #194 in the quest to #200. Another nice Tamworth cache, no mint tins yet!

Reperio at 1020.
After an enjoyable days caching around Tamworth yesterday, I got up this morning to tackle a few more before heading home to Newcastle. Parked at the top and enjoyed the view before heading down to GZ. Only one place to search, so the cache was quickly in hand.
Gratias Whitey Wiskas.

We parked at the top and walked down to the cache. After finding the cache I raced hubby up the hill and had to stop because I was laughing so much because hubby was just striding while I was running. SL TFTC
Even the Terris GPS was pointing in the right direction and distance for a change. Soon found, all good.
