A day out and about with Bogonghazy on the Mornington Peninsula.
A long search unfortunately didn't reveal a prize. Thanks for the walk

Out for a day's caching with Sorceysal down on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula.
This was a tough search with so many possibilities, and too good for us today.
thanks anyway for the walk

We thought we were undefeatable after finding many others along this trail that had had a few DNFs. A very thorough 30 minute search with 10 people uncovered many clues, possible red herrings, but no container and log. This was the last one we were trying to find today and the only DNF after 24 finds along the trail. We will return!
Started this series and took a few days to complete the whole thing. Really enjoyed searching for some really clever caches and must say none of them were disappointing at all, such great ideas. Collected all the clues and found The Pines and was able to unlock the cache. Thanks to all the CO’s for placing and maintaining this series

Out with the family for a bike ride and wanted to pick up a few more of this series.

Another clever cache on this trail.
Only wish this was longer.
No, actually, this was perfect. Great little series.

Whoops sorry for short 1st note. Took geo family about 10 minutes to find. Signed the logbook but very limited space. TFTC
Introduced Candix2020 to caching a few weeks back. Finally got a chance to go out together and snag a couple of caches.
This cache took us about 10 minutes to find before one of the geokids stood in the right spot to find the cache. They didn’t think of it at first but once I saw what was happening I encouraged them to continue in the same spot, and sure enough the cache was in hand and log was signed.
An awesome spot and a great walk - a few muggles out today so had to hold off the search a few times but not too difficult. Log is full but managed to find a small space to sign.
TFTC and the series!

#3970 We are down from NE Vic for the long weekend for a bit of caching fun on the Peninsula. Today we targeted the Red Hill series which has been on our wish list for a long time. We started from the Merricks end at 9:45am and finished up in Red Hill for lunch. A bewt walk on a bewt day completing a bewt GC series . A few muggles enjoying the trail today but it didn't interfere too much with completing the well hidden caches.
Beautifully crafted blended in cache here. Westbound is the way we are tackling this series today, toot toot! TFTC another fave from us.

Timely to escape the smoke and fire threats in the NE and catch up with some buddies in Somers AND get out on the MTB to explore the trail since it’s not really beach weather. A great series and so much care and thought has gone into creating lots of fun hides. TFTC series
Got it. The kids found this one while trying to look casual as muggle runners kept flying past
Found at 12:50 PM GAFF1.
This reminded me of a Babushka Russian Doll set up - just a great set up.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha

On a weekend away at Rye and have been looking forward to caching in this area it is so beautiful TFTC
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much!

It’s been 3.5 years ago when we first got a taste of this trail. I think this particular cache had been disabled back then. Took a good study of the thick bark on the trees before we stumbled on the cache itself. Great work. TFTC
Down on the Peninsula for a week's holiday and finishing off the other half of the Red Hill Rail Trail today which had caught our eye due to the large number of favourites on some of the caches. This was the second cache for the day and again Mr Pooky made the find spotting something that was not quite right. TFTC. and bringing us to this walking track.
Found on a short geo run along here with the youngest riding his bike. Noticed that there seems to be a few caches along here that we either didn’t get last time, or which have popped up in the many years since we cached along here.
Our GPS seems to bounce quite a bit once under the pine tree canopy, which made for some crazy “gz is over here, no wait it’s over here, no....”.
After about 10-15mins I almost walked right into the cache. Great construction, thanks for your efforts along here. TFTC

After a very hot day yesterday, today promised to be a bit cooler so we decided to head out on the Red Hill power trail. We parked at Red Hill and set off with a packed lunch and lots of water which was a good thing as the return trip took 4 hours.
The caches are all great and a lot of thought and effort has gone in the the creation of this cache trail.
Thanks for the placement and maintenance of theses caches.

A beautiful day to be out on the trail and this is apparent by the number of muggles passing by in both directions. geoP seemed particularly impressed by one shirtless runner [:o]

Responding to a call out for geocachers on Facebook, Snap and I are in Red Hill to tackle a series along a rail trail with Omegaman and Jentrek. What an awesome series along a great rail trail. My thanks to Omegaman for organising this little group and my thanks to BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear for the cache and the series.

Have had this series on my to do list for awhile now and finally this week I had the chance to tackle it.
Perfect weather and great caching companions made this a very enjoyable day, and the quality of hides was awesome.
Cheers for the cache and series.

What a lovely day to go for a bike ride. The sun was shining and the company was great. We headed out at midday after doing a bit of a car shuffle and rode mainly down hill for most of the way. We did encounter a big group of horse riders that we tried to stay in front of. Sometimes it worked. We all had a few laughs and we found them all
Thanks for placing the great series. It is always great fun when they are different hides.

We picked this cache up at 1:52pm. Another extremely nicely constructed cache
SirJ-Oz and I have had this series of caches on 'the list' for a very long time, but due to a variety of things ranging from my hip to just being generally lazy, we haven't managed to come and collect them, until today. I was a little late, but we eventually got going and had a very pleasant day collecting this series and a number of other caches in the area.
Thanks for taking over and managing the cache and the series BorisB&Natasha.

The plan for today was to knock off the Red Hill Trail caches by bike, and grab some others along the way.
As we're on the bikes, my notes for the trip are non-existant other than a couple of letters typed into my GPSr when I wanted to jog my memory. There are no letters, and no memory of this one, but we found it.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.

Really enjoying this trail and another fantastic hide. This one had us second guessing ourselves. A little bit of patience and a thoughtful approach had the cache in our hands soon enough.

Great little find, first for the day with the kids, nice walk in the sun. Missed our first 2, hopefully now have our eye in! TFTC
After walking past this one's number of times. I finally noticed something odd. The geo daughter called this one sneaky. Thanks for the cache

Today i decided to do the Red Hill Express trail on bike.
I usually like to do these sorts of trails on Fridays when more people are at work but no luck this weekend.
A cold and windy day had me freezing the whole time.
A quick find here. Familiar but also different. I like it.
Thanks for the cache

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work.

TFTC cloudy today and the GPS was all over the place and had us stumped. Then spotted it from a long way away. Easier then you think!
By the time I caught up with them, I could here ... got it and signing I think they are just interested in beating their sibling.
Surprisingly quick find. All our group found it as we kept it a secret when found and everyone had a chance of a find. Great hide as with all the series. TFTC
We continue to be impressed with the quality of these hides! Quick to find but only because we were looking for it.
Walked the trail today from Merricks end. Missed the first two caches so this was our first find along here. Parked back at Merricks so need to walk back again. TFTC. Have done the first half of this trail from Red Hill a few years ago and loved the unique caches. Great variety and fun to do. TFTC.
A marvelous piece of craftsmanship. So obvious, we walked around it for ages. Is that a contradiction?
Thanks shogun and BendSinister for allowing us to have such a great time.

Off on an anniversary getaway with geohubby and, with a new bike to trial and an urge to collect singe geocaches, this trail was an obvious choice! Foiled by muggles at the first two gzs we quickly made for this one as our first for the day and was not disappointed. Great hide! Thanks for the cache!

This was my first find on this trail. I missed the first one at the entrance, and I couldn't find the next one. This was off the trail a bit, and I had been passing a few people on their way back (?) so I had to make sure I picked a time that fell in between the groups - I never knew this trail would be so popular! I loved the hide, I'm so happy it appear to be more than the usual fair.

Today was the day, the final day of my 3 digit geocaching journey where I would finally ascend to the 1000's. Anyways enough of that these group of caches were done in order to get me as close as I could to 1000 before going down to do the group of caches I was going to do, anyways thanks for the cache and the awesome little walk down this path.

Very peaceful trail along with crank1 on a beautiful day to do the Red Hill Express series for the day. Nice scenario everywhere. Thanks shogun for the awesome series...
Ah, a quick easy find, which was a relief after the last DNF. Very nice cache container too. TFTC
Found this one with robinyang on our Red Hill Express adventure. This one continued our journey and it was found relatively quickly and the log signed and the cache returned and we continued our journey.

Today I arrived with Kmace and we walked the Red Hill Rail Trail from the Red Hill end to Merricks. It was a beautiful day and we parked one car at the end and drove around together to the start. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety and quality of finds setup by COs. An excellent series.
This cache has almost at the end of the trail. We have thoroughly enjoyed the variety of hides and this one was another we added to the daily tally. Appreciate the hide. SL & replaced as found. TFTC!

A young woman with whom I work had expressed interest in geocaching, so we headed out this morning. We did half of the Rail Trail, but have not yet made it back to do the other half (as at date of logging, 8 June 17 - I'm trying to catch up!).
We really enjoyed this series - the variety and cleverness of the hides and caches.
Thanks for the cache, shogun-

Onward and we found that the trail joined in with the equestrian trail, so we really could have saved time cycling along the dangerous road, but hey, we lived. A relatively quick find once our geo-senses kicked in and the cache was extracted and signed, TFTC shogun-. Onward and upward - thighs only just beginning to feel the incline.

I had an unexpected caching window on New Year's Eve so decided to combine this with some training for the Oxfam Trailwalker event in April. I parked down at Merricks and tackled the Red Hill Trail and a few additional caches on foot in a round trip of 15km. The weather was just right and the caches along the way were excellent. This was my third find and I was able to grab it after letting a muggle walker pass by. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for this series and for the cache shogun.
