I started looking in the usual places, but then had an epiphany and spotted where the cx was hidden. Very nice hiding spot. Took: TIE FIGHTER TB, Left: Geocoins Path Tag (unregistered). TFTC.
Having been down this road quite a few times it was nice to do a more leisurely excursion and pick up some caches. My phone didn't want us where we needed to be but there was really only one place the cache could be hiding. TFTC
A quick find with Tregearp whilst on a loop around Wakefield to earn some metres for the Reach the Peak challenge. All in good order. Thanks Spankymoore for the cache.
SJT_NZ and I headed off to get some caching in on such a lovely day, a nice loop walk down the cycle way, through Wakefield and out the other side while we attempted to climb the current peak. Thanks Spankymoore, all in good order and large enough to drop a TB that I've had for a while.
I had driven past this earlier but I couldn't the GPS to settle enough for me to get out into the rain. I drove back thought I'd have another go but this time I was looking the right way and saw something of interest and that's when I noticed the favourite count. Ok, now I'm more interested! I love this one ... I have the exact same thing painted (a different theme) and waiting in my shed to be hidden somewhere. Thanks Spankymoore, this was fun and it gets a favourite point for your collection and a geocoin that I was gonna drop-off in Australia but its been there so I'll leave it here for the next finder.
Nice to be away on another geocaching trip with tmann421, travelling to a few places in the upper South Island.

Read the cache title and though , yeah, just another through down. A random cache in a random location, just to keep the numbers ticking over.
But no! A decent cache, a decent hide, and something a little pretty to boot. Gets a path tag and a favourite. bYeah, and a smiley too.'
Taybeedragon and are in Nelson yet again - three objectives this time. Some lab caches, a challenge cache, and hunting down the wonders of the world. With the geocaching app, the wonders are easy - each time we find a cache we removed its wonder from the filter, leaving only wonders we hadn't found yet - made for a nice fast solution.
Oh - and to find a rare cache type. So rare, that in all my 14,000 finds, I had only ever found one other. Now it's two. Modern Wonders found, now working the Ancient.

Just reminds us to smile. What a great little area although I was reluctant to go in. Love the plough thingy in the corner. Nice hide. Cheers. .
Another weekend exploring Nelson with The Seagnoid, Zara and Toby. Early start from Blenheim on Saturday. We are after The Wonders of the World, some LAB caches, also Nanzies Event to visit our caching family and visiting family in Motueka. Cold morning and beautiful days made for an awesome weekend.

One of my favourite running routes, so I enjoyed finding these caches on the back country roads near Wakefield. Very novel cache!
More than just another smiley, this was a cool little cache. Watch out for the wasps inside, I just about got stung. TFTC Spankymoore, well done.
Out and about again with Runninggirl1972, and as the weather was not that great we decided to stray not too far away from home base. So we refuelled ourselves at the Wakefield bakery (we have decided to name this month Chai and pie July - or at least for today anyway) and headed off down some side roads. A small haul, some DNFs, and the weather didn’t really get as bad as we thought it would. A fun couple of hours. Thanks all COs.

The joys of working out in this area on a Saturday, smile smile smile

Just a quick return visit to "dip" a travel bug. On holiday from the U.K. and staying with our friends just up the farm drive.
My man took me on a caching exploration...hitting the road between Brightwater and Wakefield...After a slow start to the year I have got my caching mojo on and am trying to hit 365 for the year! A smile to be had indeed...the catch was a lil rusty making it hard to access the log but we got there. TFTC
A cute straightforward find on a slight detour into Richmond tonight. It was almost dark but there is no way you could miss this. I took a photo of Mum with the cache but wont add a spoiler Thanks for placing the cache and adding to our smilies
Well named - we certainly had smiles on our faces not only for GZ but for the valley that looked so beautiful on a sunny winters day. TFTC.
Hey that did give me multiple smilies! Smiled all the way up this superb valley, another when I saw I was in the right spot, another signing the log, and now one on the map. Thanks very much, beautiful piece of the country!
We had a gps techno problem here..flat battery and no spares so moved on...should have gone through the gate as description implies....but didn't. Curses, we'll be back, thanks for your efforts Spanky.
looking at the description now, I wasn't looking in the right place. I didn't find this cache. I searched for about 10 minutes to no avail.
Out on a Sunday afternoon bike ride. Found cache after a bit of a diversion out into the paddock, GPS reading out by power pole. Thought this cant be right on way when land owner heading home in their car called out was I looking for the geocache and to try by the shed. One there GPS was at 3-4 mts. First cache for the day and wet feet. !!! TFTC
This one had me puzzled until
I read the description and I had
the cache in my hands within seconds
TFTC and it was worth a fav +1

A second consecutive week with a trip over the hill for another couple of dozen caches, or just shy of that number. This weeks target was to get a couple of Multis, which have become the neglected cache type lately due to a focus on puzzle caches instead. Also a hope to get a few more (solved) Bakers Dozen caches along with a couple of random others, including the South 41 degrees Challenge cache which I see I qualify for too, yay.
A successful day and the weather this side of the hill was significantly better than the Blenheim side today, has been quite grey and dreary over this side, so I hear. Even bumped into cacher The Wonder Stuff and we found one together, which was nice. Had 3 1/2 hours caching today before I had to collect the family from their shopping exploits.
Nice hide here which also brought a smile to my face too. Cache was soon located and replaced as found

Very well done, nice to see something special and yes I certainly had more smiles than when I arrived.
Thanks so much for the effort and cache.

I came, I looked, I said "Aha" - and there it was. Nice hide. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(2387)
It was a beautiful day so we headed out for nice drive and to pick up a few caches. This was number eleven and we were so glad we diverted for this on the way home. We got three smileys for the prior one which we were delights about. Thanks for a great hide and for bringing us to you valley. It is really lovely. I wonder if there are fresh flowers here sometimes ? One day I will be back to find out. Thanks for the cache. A well deserved favourite from us.
1st find of our road trip 2015 we needed a cache with 10 or more smileys and we got a double smiley here tftc
There's a little part of me that wishes I had not read the description and some of the logs before visiting this one. I still didn't know what to expect but this was unexpected and certainly brings a bit of fun to geocaching.
This is one cache where find it or not a smiley is guaranteed!
Well worth a FP!

This is our final visit to our "local" cache to drop off a TB. Our holiday has sadly come to and end, but we have enjoyed a wonderful time in NZ.
Travelled 12000 miles to get this one - our first find in the Southern hemisphere! Conveniently staying on the cache owner's farm! Many thanks Josh - Jane and Graham xx
Found with Just-Lookin on a short geocaching trip around the top of the South Island.
Appreciate the effort geocache placers have put in to show us the area.
Quickly found here.

On a geocaching holiday with tmann421 seeking out caches at the top of the South Island. Thanks to all the CO's for making this such a memorable trip.

A quick find in the obvious spot and another smile and another smiley . What more could we ask for? TFTC.
#8162. This cache certainly brought a smile to the face. It didn't take long to spot a likely hiding place. It was behind a gate, but then the cache description mentioned shutting the gate again, so we were pretty sure we had the right spot. TFTC.
Staying in the old homeland for the Easter break with mrs tws, had a great time and weather not to bad, real nice on Easter Monday
Nice hide, many thanks

Gps was pointing a wee bit out but when we opened our eyes was easy found. Was at st christopers recently and I was surprised not to find a cache in their grounds.
So obvious I could not find it - then - durrr! Has to be a favourite. Great place to grow up and a great way to remember it. Thanks for setting it up. http://www.geocaching.com/images/icons/icon_smile_cool.gif
I came back . Hmmm. "Please close the gate." But I haven't opened a gate. Ah ha. Now I get it. What a cool cache. Thanks!! .
12888… Just Another Smiley favourite point added to this one, we must have visited the northern relatives in Wanganui. Very well done and many thanks for giving us a .
A special cache for the KE team tonight. 3 of us down with the flu and not feeling great and a streak to maintain. Mrs KE therefore did the driving as she was the only healthy team member. A slightly strange way to spend our 21st Wedding Anniversary evening but a fun cache and a beautiful valley will make it a memorable one. We will celebrate with a lovely meal out when everyone is healthy again. +1 from us.
Thanks Spankymoore for the cache.

Remember that riddle: "How many men does it take to change a lightbulb?"??? Couldn't help thinking of it as I drove up this valley and the whole place was swarming with men changing power lines. No way was I going to get anywhere near the cache without at least some of them wanting to know what I was up to. Oh well. Another day.
Just what I needed after a very long and busy day at work nice to be cheered up Thanks for that love the container.............. thanks Spanymoore great first cache
The favourite points had told us in advance that this would not be 'Just Another Smiley'. Which was odd because that cache name is perfect. We too had smiles - and add a favourite point. Also left a trackable - because we could and that is not always the way these days even when you get a smiley.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Always good to get another smiley and this one did put a smile on my dial [:8D] TFTC

Good find thank on a sunny evening, liked the hide.
No Wedding Geocoin only 'Moko' the dolphin which I thought was a cache treasure not a TB Geocoin due to how small it was.

Great cache. Put the smile on my dial. Let a trackable and meant to pick one up but I think I managed to leave it behind as well. First time up this valley.

We debated whether to venture out this way this morning but with another 'project' in the general area it made it worth the trip. This is the first time in this valley for me and of course the first time I've seen this feature. It is also the first time I've got 2 smileys for one cache TFTC.

Up in Nelson for a few days. Finished work early so popped out for a few caches. Arrived at GZ and searched a while before 'giving up'. Hopped back in the car and started re-checking the cache description, etc. Was just getting out again for another look armed with a better idea of where to look when a vehicle pulled up behind me: "Are you looking for something? Its ...". Cache soon located. This definitely deserves a favourite point. TFTC. Left GC.

On a bit of a mission today and with not much of a detour required we thought: "Why not go for another smiley?" The people in the hood must be wondering what all the action is all about suddenly. When we located the cache we realised we achieved more than Just Another Smilie, nice. A fav. TFTC
2nd to find today with a very special friend who didn't listen to me and found the cache! A great hide and very enjoyable - certainly gave me a smiley and worth a Favourite. TFTC
FTF with Flying Phoenix. Saw that this cache was still unfound this morning so hopped in the car with FP and headed off to GZ. Hadn't been down this valley before so it was nice to be able to explore a new area. Hunted about one spot before we extended our search area and spotted something very interesting. A quick investigation of that feature did indeed bring a smiley to our faces. TFTC, Biggles.
Yay an FTF with Biggles (Dad). The cache wasn't where we looked first but it was easy to find it in the end. Thanks.
Was unsure if entry was OK, seems all is well. Liked the touch on the container, and sc ored a smile...thanks
