TFTC! The co-ordinates led us to a landmark that was bigger than all the rest. A bit of poking around was all we needed.
See "Red Hill Express - Engine House (GC4PRWH)" for my general comments about doing this amazing 'Red Hill Express' series with a 10yo geokid.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to BorisB&Natasha for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Looked and prodded for some time expanded my search and excavated some more but couldn't locate this cache.
Unfortunately after a long search we were unsuccessful today, even with 5 pairs of eyes looking.
We’ll be back for another go next time we are in the area.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha.

We nearly gave up on this one and after one last scavenge we signed the log. TFTC
“Open your eyes”- after poking around volla!!! Yes, very pleased with ourselves we remembered to collect the clue without having to back track for it
This one we found to have a sneaky little hiding spot, but was a quick and easy find, retired, logged and returned, and off me go excited to see more of what this rail trail has to offer for it caching travels.

Enjoying a couple days off from work as they continue to do works on my office I thought to myself why not go and finish the Redhill railtrail series as it had been a rather long time since I started it..... several years now at this point.
What a trip down memory lane this series is, having grown up exploring the red hill area as a kid I had a great time reveling in the nostalgia.

We are back . After enjoying doing half of the trail from the Red Hill end yesterday we have returned to complete the series from the Merick end. We took note of the clue. Logged a TB and took another. TFTC
Started this series and took a few days to complete the whole thing. Really enjoyed searching for some really clever caches and must say none of them were disappointing at all, such great ideas. Collected all the clues and found The Pines and was able to unlock the cache. Thanks to all the CO’s for placing and maintaining this series

These hills weren't going to be fun coming back up I thought at the time, and my legs confirmed this.
Thankful for a cool and overcast day.

#3974 We are down from NE Vic for the long weekend for a bit of caching fun on the Peninsula. Today we targeted the Red Hill series which has been on our wish list for a long time. We started from the Merricks end at 9:45am and finished up in Red Hill for lunch. A bewt walk on a bewt day completing a bewt GC series . A few muggles enjoying the trail today but it didn't interfere too much with completing the well hidden caches.
Making a quick pass of gz we quickly spotted the well hidden plastic here. TFTC!

Timely to escape the smoke and fire threats in the NE and catch up with some buddies in Somers AND get out on the MTB to explore the trail since it’s not really beach weather. A great series and so much care and thought has gone into creating lots of fun hides. TFTC series
Found at 12:31 PM GAFF3.
I must make mention of this track - it is fantastic to be able to zoom along on the bike. Very nicely maintained.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha

Trekking along the red hill rail trail for the first time with a local mazzystar. Nice find. TFTC
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much!
Headed out to continue the Red Hill Rail trail after our first visit 3.5 years ago. It is Easter Saturday a clear sunny morning and a great day for a walk. TFTC
Down on the Peninsula for a week's holiday and finishing off the other half of the Red Hill Rail Trail today which had caught our eye due to the large number of favourites on some of the caches. This was the fifth cache for the day and Mrs Pooky made a quick easy find. TFTC. and bringing us to this walking track.
After a very hot day yesterday, today promised to be a bit cooler so we decided to head out on the Red Hill power trail. We parked at Red Hill and set off with a packed lunch and lots of water which was a good thing as the return trip took 4 hours.
The caches are all great and a lot of thought and effort has gone in the the creation of this cache trail.
Thanks for the placement and maintenance of theses caches.

Have had this series on my to do list for awhile now and finally this week I had the chance to tackle it.
Perfect weather and great caching companions made this a very enjoyable day, and the quality of hides was awesome.
Cheers for the cache and series.

What a lovely day to go for a bike ride. The sun was shining and the company was great. We headed out at midday after doing a bit of a car shuffle and rode mainly down hill for most of the way. We did encounter a big group of horse riders that we tried to stay in front of. Sometimes it worked. We all had a few laughs and we found them all
Thanks for placing the great series. It is always great fun when they are different hides.

We picked this cache up at 1:23pm.
SirJ-Oz and I have had this series of caches on 'the list' for a very long time, but due to a variety of things ranging from my hip to just being generally lazy, we haven't managed to come and collect them, until today. I was a little late, but we eventually got going and had a very pleasant day collecting this series and a number of other caches in the area.
Thanks for taking over and managing the cache and the series BorisB&Natasha.

The plan for today was to knock off the Red Hill Trail caches by bike, and grab some others along the way.
As we're on the bikes, my notes for the trip are non-existant other than a couple of letters typed into my GPSr when I wanted to jog my memory. There are no letters, and no memory of this one, but we found it.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache BorisB&Natasha

Today i decided to do the Red Hill Express trail on bike.
I usually like to do these sorts of trails on Fridays when more people are at work but no luck this weekend.
A cold and windy day had me freezing the whole time.
Found in the first place I looked but not the first time I looked there
Thanks for the cache

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work.

This one was a traditional one ... again we loved it. It keeps you guessing what is next.
