#812. Given the absolutely dire weather forecast today I thought I'd grab my cache of the day on the way to work instead. Since it was raining it needed to be a park n grab. I saw this one was on the way (ish) but I wasn't sure what the chances of parking beside this one was during the morning rush hour.
It turned out that the park was very easy. And nobody outside in the rain meant that it was a very easy grab also. The cache and log were in perfect condition. Not signed since January, cool!
Thank you for the cache! I often wonder how caches in spots like this survive though. Don't the gardens need weeding? I know mine seem to at home... constantly!

Out collecting our first caches of the year today.Parked close by to this one and walked across the road. Our easiest find so far today hardest part was reaching down to grab it good job no one was around.
Easy - found, sitting too open view. Placed natural environment over it as to hide it some.
Thanks for this clean and neat easy to find and providing lots of opportunities for TWAGs to enjoy young geocachers.
Found it while I had some time to kill waiting for a doctors appointment next door. Cache is in good condition.

I was nearby so I decided to grab the two caches that seemed close. Both seemed fairly appropriate given the current souvenirs.
I spotted this cache on the walk in so decided to go for a quick retrieve and take to the car to sign before returning it and taking a different path back to the car.

With a slow GPS making us miss our turn to a different cache, this seemed like the perfect place to turn around. Ayden4aSmile found it immediately. Huntsman2015 and I cheering on from the sidelines
Out with the family. Missed the turn off for another cache. While in the processes of finding somewhere to turn around we decided to pick up this one on the way. Beautiful view of the picturesque BP petrol station. The wonderful green hues tying in nicely with the plethora of native and exotic tree behind
A pretty quick find today as the light was fading. Parked right beside the GZ so the car was a good object to hide behind to get this cache. Between hayleyfcy and I, we took the two TBs to move on.
Was in the area this morning and stopped here to grab this one. Too early for muggles so it was a quick find. It was also a bit exposed so covered it with a bit of natural camo. TFTC
Joined up with Merlot58 and Aiden29 for an afternoon cache hunt on the Shore. We parked up close to GZ and soon located the stairs. Soon after the cache was located. TFTC
Out and about with Jag50 and Aiden29 picking up a few caches on the Shore. We were able to make very close to the cache and made a nice quick find
Out with Merlot58 and Jag50. Parked close by and located the stairs easily. Soon after the cache was found.

It took us sometime to find the steps.. may its because our brains are freezing..!! but once the steps were found, cache was soon in hands. Cache is all good here. tftc.

So tempted to put TFTC
Oops just did. So cold tonight. Can't think. Freezing. Quick find before I ice up.

As I was up this way for a meeting today I decided to check my phone to see if there were any immediate caches up for grabs... that is how I came to be looking for this particular one. It was interesting in reading the description for this one that I couldn't ever remember seeing any stairs around... but as I approached GZ hey there they were. And naturally as I got to the bottom of them there were muggles coming down them and so once again I had to take my time to wait for the muggles to pass. However, once the coast was clear it was a nice quick find. Log book signed and cache replaced... and the cache is in really good condition. As I was coming down the stairs one of the muggles who I first saw was approaching with a Burger King bag in her hand and gave me the 'hey I think you might be some kind of dodgy guy who has been loitering in this area far too long' look... So I smiled and said hi as I crossed the road. Interestingly enough, on the other side of the road I spotted a bit of graffiti that I have spotted in other parts of the city... so I took a photo. So thanks once again G-2. Very cool.
Out for a night caching adventure as we have not been caching for a couple of weeks. Restless smaller members of team gadget meant we had to settle for quick drive by caches. Got this one after 3 other attempts thwarted by maintenance on nearby gardens & structures!
Sunday, few muggles around, caching around the shore today without Apollo and came here thinking the cache was nearer the pole which I gave a good search of. But process of elimination ruled that and another area out. So expanding myself, I found what I was looking for. Glad to not have a DNF here.
With work closing early toady, thanks to the potential pending storm I was able to head up the road and attended the nearby lunchtime event. I managed to get half a park next to GZ. It didn't take long to come up with the goods here. Nice to execute a super quick find as I wouldn't want to be late for the event. Cheers for the cache placement!
Finally logged this - had to stop in to Pure health so sisso2 could get some much needed chiro advice. Sadly it was a very rainy day, but I whipped out of the car without an umbrella and needed no stealth to get this one - who else would be silly enough to be in the pouring rain. All part of the fun and thrill of the chase. Good to log one while in NZ as we often come and do not make any time to enjoy the game!
Hot day on Auckland Anniversary. Nice and quiet today, but a hot step = burny buns. :--)
Nice quick find after getting a vaccine from the travel clinic right next door (:
#192. Came looking for this one a while back with the kids. Realised it had gone AWOL as it should have been a straightforward find. Was pleased to see it had been replaced recently. Bushes either side of the steps provided some nice cover from any prying eyes. Signing a new log book is the closest I've come to a FTF! Ha ha. TFTC.
Close on the heels of the previous finder, also a nice quick find here today as I am making my way through cleaning out some local caches
An easy find. Our first cache using the cell phone app, Looks like it may be time to pension off the Garmin, in places where there is cell phone coverage.
A quick find before I fly back to tassie to drop off our trackable and nab a nearby cache. Nice and easy in darkness. TFTC!
Easy find, cache was wide open though - hope everything is back inside. Good condition, tftc!
P.s. nice sharp pencil in there

Quick find while visiting the medical centre to give our new little girl her six-week immunisation injections.
Went out with yorkshirekiwi83 this afternoon specifically to grab this cache, as we both needed a "Y" cache for a spelling challenge cache. We parked opposite the cache and immediately spotted it on approach to GZ. TFTC!
I needed a cache beginning with Y in Feb, so this was the perfect choice, headed out in the evening with Vistra to grab a couple. It was a nice quick and easy find.

The end of 2015 saw us take on a big couple of days of caching. At the beginning of the year, we set a goal of reaching 4000 cache finds by the end of the year. Towards the end of 2015, it wasn't looking too promising as geocaching got put a bit on the backburner for us as life and things happened. Come the 31st Dec 2015 and still needing a good portion of finds, New Year's Eve called for some binge caching in th North Shore to reach that milestone!
A nice and quick park and grab. Log signed, and we were back on the way. Thanks for the hide!

Searched everywhere before finding this cache right next to the steps. At least 6m away from co-ords. Thanks for the cache. Did with Myro Man.
After missNZT's dance recital, we decided to swing by and doe-si-doe over to this cache!
After a quick shimmy and two step mrNZT dipped and came up with the goods! We filled in the dance card, erm...log and we decided to drop off a TB from the south island. TFTC!

Used to do a bit of work near here. Checked the wrong side first but was soon on track. Tftc
After having lunch across the street, I came over and found this one. I had sat down to sign the cache and put it back. But then, a middle-aged couple came by to see if I was all right since they thought I had fallen. I just sprung to my feet and said I was OK. The things we go through to Geocache under the watchful eyes of muggles. TFTC.
Nice quick find on this cold blustery day to keep our daily streak running. TFTC
Found quickly thanks G-2 ....then I realised it was 12.30 so walked back over very busy road for a yummy chicken burger !
Mmmmmm !
Mmmmmm !
Second find for the evening - no muggles luckily, and straightforward hide. Took Rudolph TB on his travels .
Up from the Naki to visit family so took a pre dinner walk which was very rewarding took one Tb It was late so muggles were few TFTC
Was able to conceal myself away from muggles reasonably well on the steps, quick in and out thx to the clue!
Can imagine how busy this location can be on a work day but today everything was quiet and no muggles about. Was able to search uninterrupted and sit and leisurely sign the log. TFTC
Had to wait for a blind muggle who had parked in front of the steps (he couldn't read the sign).
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Managed to pick this one up without being muggled at a very busy intersection. TFTC.
Today we were embarking on finding 50 in a day km apart for a challenge. The day started well, but soon became apparent that our planning wasn't going to make the day easy. We ploughed on but after 7hrs and only 25 finds, we decided to abandon our efforts for another day, with a better plan. This was a nice 2nd find for the day. Nice a quiet here to make a quick find. We recognised the container lol.. a few 100 of these around Auckland I think. SL. TFTC.
Parked almost on top of this one, quick fins with the kids just before the shower, TFTC
Last find of the day before heading into the city to catch up with my son for a spot of dinner at the Depot in Federal St. Popped over the road after gassing up the rental to make the find. Cheers and TFTC
Last smilie of the day for us, now time to enjoy a well deserved refreshment before dinner, dropped off some TBs TFTC.
Wanted to fill a day on the calendar and was out doing stuff with Reveurs, so we stopped at this one to pick it up on the way past. I nice easy find. TFTC.
Managed to park in such a manner as to totally obscure the GZ so retreival was not an issue today

A VERY quick find today. I managed to grab this one while my wife paid for the petrol I pumped at the nearby petrol station and got back to the car before she did TFTC
Out with lemski for a few caches today before starting the festive season later on in the evening and tried our luck here.
All quiet at GZ as we came through and a nice quick find in the suggested spot - TFTC

Cleaning up a few of the caches closest to home and this was on the list. Nicely placed cache that was soon spotted by the eagle eyed Ryan. Thanks for yet another cache of yours.
Nice quick park and grab, I was able to park right next to the cache. Last one for the day then back to the safety and tranquillity of the West. Tftc
11.10am. Had an appointment here today and the available car park was almost at GZ. So it was a quick look and grab. Had planned to spend some time on a few other hides in the area but was not feeling so good after the Apollo visit so flagged it away.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
We headed out after a late dinner to pick up a cache for the day. We had no luck at our first choice so headed for Rosedale Park, but were turned away by a security guard wanting to lock the gates. We circled the park and approached our second choice from the opposite end. But we had no luck there either. With the laptop running out of power we chose a third cache. Thankfully it was third time lucky at You & Apollo. We signed the log with relief, and celebrated with a midnight icy cold milkshake. Many thanks!
Rather busy after work today so made a slight detour on way to work. Great timing I got a park right next to GZ and there were enough cars park on other side to shield me from those having breakfast in the café.
I sure I've seen this type of container before somewhere! Thanks Glyn.
Left my first Pathtag, that had arrived as I was leaving home.

Popped out after work to continue our streak & start cleaning up our home area again after the Mega repopulated it nicely.
Thanks for the cache

Day 4 of Woody and Papa's Mega Adventure. Out at the End of Mega BBQ and it seemed rude not to stop and find a cache or two on the way back to town. Quick find by Woody. Salamat!
On a night hunt with Guwapo after the BBQ event at Long Beach, a nice and easy one from the CO meant a quick find was made.
