Was SOOOOO hoping to get the complete 5 of this series ...... But I guess this clever one eluded me ....
Daytime would be a better option for my next visit !!!
Daytime would be a better option for my next visit !!!
Even having found this one once before didn't help me this time. Unfortunatley couldn't actualy remember where it had been last time, so can't be certain if it's missing or my eyesight not so good. However don;t remember it being difficult.
Ohhh Mr Glyn sir, I'm thinking I'm having very bad news for you sir, I could not find no bison over yonder in them trees sir! Perhaps I might be needing new glasses soon. Perhaps the bison has walked off with the nearest stranger sir. I shall be leaving this delicate matter sir with you!!
cool. found it.
thank you.
great find. Took a while. had to try the same spot over.

Family trip north to collect MrK69's 'absolute bargain' that he bought online last week. He's been a bit vague on the details of the purchase. However I'm fairly suspicious about the 'bargain' part especially when he, the non-caching member of our family team, offered to help me grab a few caches before heading home lol! Still, wasn't about to say no to a few more caches & a short walk ..... Don't know this area at all, so thought we'd explore the oteha pathway to stretch our legs & tick off a few more Auckland finds. Getting close to this one, I called out the hint for the kids who ran ahead and made a nice quick find in the logical spot, nice one, TFTC
#10659. Last find on our walk. Now time to head back to the car (thankfully the walk back was pretty flat). TFTC.
MY GPSr was spot on with this GZ, which is surprising as it's normally crap under tree cover. StreetWalker carried on a little further while I started searching. Not finding anything in my first search, I starting looking further afield, but no go. Then returned to my original spot, but from an different angle and saw a likely hiding place and soon after, had the cache in hand. Nicely tucked away. TFTC.
Picked the Future Finder up from his play date and decided that we should do this bush walk while in the area. Nice day for it after all. We parked up on Gills Road and followed the track down to The lower path and then turned in the direction of this cache. Took a minute or two before we cotton on to this sneaky placement. Formalities completed we continued along the lower path in search of more hides. Cheers for the cache placement!
Driving past Gills Rd and decided to stop on the off chance that the work happening at the beginning of the path would now be completed. Yep, new walking, cycling bridge now up and running. Only problem was once I neared GZ, I found that this was not the correct path and where I needed to be was on the other side of the creek. No issues crossing over and soon on the right path. Cache found in the 1st place I looked. Cheers - Kiwi
After walking for too long down the new path on the other side of the creek, I realised that I needed to be on the old track side of the creek. And ten minutes later, I find your most excellent hide. TFTC
Almost gave up on this one but a phone call distraction for one of our party left the other to hunt for a few minutes longer and success.
mm the Old..."ive already looked at that, and thought it was something dubious that i don;t really want to touch trick..." and well above the clue level - unless of cause it was a kicking giant grasshopper.. second look got eyes and hands on... however.. log damp but signed;)
Another Gills rd cache knocked off. Thanks for the lovely walk here, never would have come here but for geocaching. TFTC
Was up in Auckland over the weekend collecting caches. Took a bit of time to find some and others were just DNFs. Luckily this was able to be found and we were able to add our names to the log book.
Out early in the morning with a few caches on the list accompanied by Nova Lightning. Quickly located while on our way to collecting a few caches around the Albany area

Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
After doing some shopping at Albany, I had some time spare so decided to go for some caches around Albany that I never got around to grabbing during the Mega. Firstly went for a walk along the Oteha walkway, then drove around to Gills Road to pick up the caches along the other side of the creek. Followed the hint here and soon spotted the attachment for the cache, covered in spider webs though! TFTC!

I was looking around a few minutes before, against my better arachnaphobic tendencies, I started poking about and hit pay dirt. This was a cunningly hidden little cache and was certainly a bit of challenge to find. TFTC! NINO.
It was back down to the stream bank to follow the path downstream. My grand-daughter thought this was a sneaky hide. Well, what do you expect of one of Glyn's caches.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
This one was #3 on the list for us as Ryan was doing these in reverse order. TFTC
This one took a bit of finding but got there after a few minutes. Not what I was expecting at first, but that description is spot on. Thanks.
After walking the Okura to Stillwater walkway (and back) I had more time on my hand to find a few more caches in the area. That one fits in really well. TFTC, Biggles.
We were out and about with KB who was visiting from Perth. Parked at Hooton Reserve and walked this trail finding some of the new caches placed during the NZ Mega event. Searched a few likely specimens and soon located this sneacky hide. TFTC.
Sneaky, sneaky. Enjoyed a big walk up and down in this bush area. Thanks glyn for the cache.
Think I must be a dwarf-nice hide -met several people walking their dogs.We often walk here & the path is becoming a lot more popular.tftc

Could have taken a lot longer if I hadn't been a master finder of the CO's hides. GPS was jumping about but I knew enough of where he would and more importantly where he wouldn't to quickly track this down.

A nice hide. Had a moments panic when I dropped part of the cache on the ground and couldn't immediately spot it. Fortunately managed to find it...so crisis averted. Phew!

Another FFED needed for today and this cache was within walking distance, took a little time to locate as there was some RF attenuation from the tree cover. A very sneeky hide and nearly missed it!! Another Glyn special ????....TFTC
Strolling down the path near Gills Rd, this one was found quite easily.
Thank you for making afternoon walks through Albany more exciting.

Our phone was playing up, so we were really free caching these. Having a bit of trouble and we hear voices! Luckily it was Butterfly Lady and Radio Nut who had more reliable gear so it was soon in hand.
Tricky hide. GPS all over the place and thank the good eyes of a geomate was found without too much delay.
TFTC, cheers

I was lost with this hide as I thought the description read that the cache was hanging in a tree - how I managed that is beyond me . I was glad Firewoof was there to sort me out.

Higher than expected, must have been placed by someone much taller than this butterfly. Got a muggle warning from the nut, only to turn and meet Steed & Peel, also seeking the same cache.
Cache #10 for today,
Over in New Zealand for the AUCKLAND MEGA from Australia for 6 days during which I hope to met a few new faces and get to 500.
Out with Butchie Bum for a nice little run around to get some of the local caching done.
A very nice cache hidden well but perfectly easy with the provided hint.

Out and about with " DRT. " who is over from Aussie. So enjoying a spin in the Geonut finding a few new caches .
Reasonably quickly found on a lovely walk, just after lunch - Day 2 of the Mega.
Head-scratcher for about 30 seconds, then voila! Really liked this hide ... nice and simple, but very effective!

I'm visiting from Melbourne for the New Zealand Mega which means finding lots of caches and coming here especially to find this one - the whole experience has been fantastic. The weather has also been much nicer than back in Melbourne and that has meant long hours starting early and caching late into the night and not getting much sleep in between. I had spent many hours in the lead up to my arrival in New Zealand preparing an itinerary of caches, solved puzzles and places I wanted to visit and I'm pleased to say I completed just about everything I had planned. For the places I didn't get to visit, well that just means I'm gonna come back. I've seen stunning sights, walked lots of kilometres (and driven even more) met some great people and made new friends which has been awesome.
Thanks glyn(the only one) for bringing me here and for adding to my positive experience.

Day two of the NZ MEGA. Popped out from HQ to find these new caches before the final prize giving was due to begin.
DNF'd this on the way in but luckily had the aha moment on the return. Nice hide.

A quicker find due to bumping into other cachers on the trail... we looked one place, they looked the other, they came up with the goods
New Zealand 2103 trip for the Auckland Mega at Albany. Day 17, In Auckland Region, Northshore. NZ Mega Auckland Day 2. Caching with Sol de Lune and Marcus Vitruvius followed by the evening activities at Mega Central. This was the second of five *FTF* for Sol de Lune, Marcus Vitruvius and Albida. This one really had us worried as it was taking so long. I am not sure why I looked in the spot it was hidden, but there it was and it was time to actually run to the next one. Thanks.

Managed to bump into a couple of other cachers as we did this one, we figured we'd have a look in one place and they tried the other - and we were lucky enough to come up with the cache first. Nicely hidden and a nice littles spot - TFTC
Bumped into several cachers here while out and about with stretch.kerr during the mega. Took a few minutes to find this one with several eyes looking but we got there and signed the log. TFTC!
Out in this area grabbing a few caches with Marcus Vitruvius and Albida when all the new ones were published.....so a quick u-turn and we were off. Managed to grab 5 on offer for a joint *FTF*.
Thanks for the cache and mad dash.

Mrs gm123 had her caching mojo on today and found in quick time while we were all still consulting our coords. Nice one g-2
Mrs geomatt picked around and found it pretty quickly. Lucky otherwise we might have spent a bit of time here TFTC
Reperio at 1020. Joint *FTF* with Albida33 and Sol de lune.
After finding a newly listed cache on the trail...it was on to the next just a short distance away. This one a little longer to find than the last, but we got there. Enjoyed the run along this nice trail.
Gratias glyn.

Had an hour to go before dinner was served and teamed up with UncleSamNZ at the parking lot for doing a quick cache run. TFTC
I had a great time hanging out in Albany grabbing caches with a plethora of cachers this weekend! I had the pleasure of caching with cachers from three different countries and enjoyed chatting with them in the process! Thank you for the cache!
