Spotted where I was supposed to look straight away, but couldn't find any geocache there... Hmmm...
The cache was unavailable for some time due to earthworks etc rebuilding the walkway. The walkway is now open and the cache is operating again for people to find. Sorry for delay.
Another jaunt over the Kaimai's to tackle the every growing list of caches over here. With C&D and 11HPG11 in tow, as well as a trailer full of yaks, the plan for the day was to get into McLaren falls as early as possible to give the new virtual ago, then head into TGA to target a few of the more technological caches in the area, and of course anything else that was nearby.
As we were in the area I couldn't leave without having another go at this cache. I had attempted it before but as it was missing DNF'd it. That blue face was taunting me so I had to turn it into a smile now that the cache has been replaced. A quick find this time around.
The trip was a great success with all caches we attempted turned into smilies. A huge thanks to the CO's for the hides!!

Another mission over to the BOP with HKCB and Cats&Dragons. Left Hamilton at some crazy time, who knows if it was night or morning! Lollies and rain coats were packed as the forecast wasn't looking too great but turns out we got the best of the worst weather. Another last minute puzzle solving spree meant today we focused on Whereigos, puzzles and a handful of trads for good measure.
In the area and HKCB could not leave this one behind so it was a quick detour to stop and pick it up. A quick find here today thanks.

Found it on a nice evening walk checking out Omokoroa. We also found an old log just lying on the ground. Put it behind the cache.

Found the original hidey hole but after searching for awhile could not find new relocated cache. Maybe if someone updates with a better clue. Sad one for me as my mother lost her property with the slips here
Out geocaching with Lucypear, we came up here after I got mortally confused but the non-multi multi out here. The views were spectacular! We found the thistle guarding the original hide but it's been moved, just not sure where to..
Was visiting a client in Omokoroa and as it was a beautiful day I decided to hunt round for a few caches in the area. I read the logs after finding this cache and read that people were going around the fence with the big no access sign to find this...however I found the cache on the safe side and didn't quite match the clue so don't know if it has been moved? Signed and returned anyway. Attaching photo of beautiful view. Thanks for the cache
Got a geology lesson here from one of the landowners. Gloves protected me from the prickles. TFTC
3.40pm. Well barriers are for going round or over aren't they? A prickly thistle is guarding the cache making it difficult to extract.
Thank you David.
Thank you David.
The walkway is still officially closed off but there was a small gap and those notices are only for muggles, right? The cache was quickly located due to the good hint and signed and returned before the neighbours got too suspicious. It feels good to finally knock this one off! TFTC.
Was disappointed....but couldn't get close ...maybe there was a slip here in the storm ?
The cache has been checked and is all in order. I have changed the hint to be a little more revealing!
Happy hunting!

Decided to take the day off work and spend the day Geocaching. Had a plan of attack for the day which was a trip on the ferry to Matakana Island, a few caches around Omokoroa, a trip up to Sentinel Rock and couple of other caches which needed a little bit of time to get.
Had a quick look here and found the item that I think was hiding the cache, however nothing else to be seen.

We are staying in the area for Christmas and it'll be rude not to grab any nearby caches. We chucked all the kids in the car and parked at the grove to go for a short walk to grab three caches. The wind was bitterly cold on the street but was better near the cliff edge.
A nice little walk along the coast. There was some recent fencing in the area and i wasn't sure if the cache was still there or not. Had a good look around but was feeling quite exposed and in close proximity to some houses. Kind of gave up on the cache and had a glance over my shoulder as I was walking away and I spotted the cache! Glad to have found this one.
Thanks for the cache and the smiley.

Found this beautiful spot whilst out for the day with RosieLu (my daughter and granddaughter. What a lovely view!
Found this one after a bit. Should have stuck with initial instinct, but doubted it would be that close to the property. Had to dodge the rain showers. But enjoyed the walk along the coastal path until it ran out due to landslides.
Thanks for placing.
Thanks for placing.
It was a lovely walk from 'walnut grove' along the coast with geo-dog. Felt like I was walking through people's backyards! Very quiet here today. TFTC
You know it when you see it. Strange cover. Lol enjoying my walk along here. Nice views. Tftc
Out for the day visiting Old folks and tiga and I took a slight deviation to find a couple of caches in the area. This one was a bit obvious and a fast find, so after signing with our joint moniker of TT2M.P returned to its spot and placed some camo as requested.
Had a wee chat with a neighbour who I knew from way back before heading to Waihi Beach for a coffee.

Out finding caches with My,Precious on our motorbikes after visiting a local rest home with the Tga Ulysses branch. Cache was pretty obvious when we got to GZ so it is now in the same place but not so easy to see. Signed log as TT2M.P
Beautiful spot. First walked this way 40 years ago. Talked to friendly locals....escaped from Auckland and pinching themselves about where they now live. Camo blended beautifully. Nice clue.
Our second find on the Cool Bananas Youthwork Trust team building say!!! Great find, it took 10 of us!!
After a boat ride to Matakana Island we had a walk round. A nice quick find. TFTC
A nice view from up here in an area I hadn't discovered yet. Thanks for bringing me here.
Despite the weather forecast and the rain radar predicting rain, rain and more rain, we set off on a day trip to Katikati, with the occasional detour to find some caches, of course. It was dry when we left Tauranga, but we hadn't gone far before the drizzle started. That necessitated a slight change of plans (any walks of more than 5 minutes were now off the agenda) but we still managed to find 21 caches.
A pleasant little walk and a quick find as the lid was facing out and easy to see. Replaced it so the lid was facing the other way. TFTC.

#462 - Took the Geo Toddler out for trip to Omokoroa to see if we could find all of the caches out here, he thoroughly enjoyed looking for treasure. Nice little spot here, great cache for the little guy to find. TFTC.
Such a lovely walk along the cliff top along to this one. A lovely day for all the neighbours to be out enjoying the sunshine too,, but luckily GZ is just out of their sight. tftc
My phone gps is not playing the game today so took me a while to get the general spot. Found quickly with Macwatt as no camo cover. Now very well camo ed. Love this walkway and good hide when camo ed as per instructions.
What a nice area Omokoroa is spoilt with great walk ways and green space found this one quickly I think the weed eater had just done a trim up.....signed the log and replaced and added a bit more camo nice cache thanks for the effort

Thankfully when looking for this one you can get low down and out of view from the very close nearby houses. I always look so dodgey when caching as I am usually on my own.
This didn't take long to find and quickly signed before moving on.

Always uncomfortable searching for caches this close to houses but fortunately we didn't take too long locating this nice little cache.
On a geocaching holiday in the area.
Nice quick find here.
SL Thanks for the fun!
