My first successful Levin geocache and just around the corner from home too. Thank you
Visiting Levin for a few days, and collecting a few caches while I'm here. I nice hide here in a well camouflaged container, as expected by the description. TFTC (sorry for the late log, life gets in the way of caching sometimes).
Day 2 of our New Years trip up to the North Island. Today we traveled from Upper Hutt through the winding Akatarawa Rd up to Palmerston North. We knew what to look for here so it was a fast find. It took considerably longer to put back again as the log is in 2 pieces so you need to remove and tighten both. A nice concept though. Thanks for the effort involved in placing and creating this cache for all of us to enjoy.
QUick find. Good hint and good work

Some nearby accomodation had a pointer to this nicely done hide. Thanks Ronbu!
I have set myself a goal to get the requirements for the mystery cache The well-rounded cacher challenge (Manawatu) This requires me to get 25 badges 5 of which need to be gemstone badges. So each time I now go out caching weather it is by myself or with fellow cacher I will try to get a least one cache that will get me closer to my goal
Here in Lenin today to grab a few caches while I'm here Aiming to get five or more caches within the two hours that I have here before I have to head back home I hope to be back here soon and hopefully be able to spend the whole day caching next time I'm here
Thanks for the cache

The EtherMinions are at my Parent's for the week (yay for school holidays!) so EtherLady and I are flying solo
We came down to Levin on an after-dinner mission to collect a TradeMe purchase and figured that I could find a few caches while I'm here to help with the current souvenir promotion.
Easy find here.
I struggled to remove the cache from its hole as I couldn't grip the lid very well, but it came out easily when poked from the other side

Was really hard to get log book out eventually got it out & re rolled it hope it’s ok tftcKia ora
Temporarily unavailable as it has gone missing - apparently muggled. Currently working on a replacement.
Whew, glad it wasn't me not seeing it, I was thinking I was losing my touch! Thanks for sorting it
Well, it beat me. Didn't understand the clue. I did find the munzee, and after googling now know what this is about!
A quiet suburban street which made the locating, retrieving, signed and replacing of the cache all that much easier.
Caching with RosalieNZ completing the 100, 10, 7 Challenge. Cache log signed as ‘RE’.

Signed as RE as I'm caching with Ethnz this weekend.
A very nice cache, thank you. It earns a favourite point from me.

Aha. Thanks for extra help good start to our day. We were staying the next street over with family, saw how close we were and nipped over before our continuing journey south. Tftc
#3463. Infoferret offered me a ride up to Levin today to attend the two events being held there. Both of us are working on the DGSC challenge and are doing the bulk find elective. So we decided to make the most of the late summer day and attempt to pick up 50+ additional caches each for the challenge. The problem was that after comparing maps, it seemed that a lot of caches I had done were needed by IF and vice versa. So meant we would probably need to visit at least 70 caches today as well as picking up a kitten to take back to Wellington at 8pm. Luckily we had decided to get going early as the Ohakea airshow was on today and the roads would get very busy later in the morning. Parked nearby. IF was on a hot streak here as she had the cache in hand before I was half way across the road. Signed log and replaced as found. Thanks for hiding it here. Cache 9 of 50.
TFTC. An epic caching day in the company of GSEL - 50+ caches each (this was no 16 for me), Event, CITO,and finally collecting a kitten in Otaki! I had the advantage of GSEL on this one as I'd worked out where it was previously, last time I was here I'd spotted where I thought it must be, but somebody mowing their lawns nearby meant I didn't even get out of the car to look then... also a munzee here if you like those things.
A clever hide, could actually spot the log from the other side while sitting in the car, so it was an easy retrieve. Log signed and returned and the three of us were on our way again.
Many thanks for the hide. Have seen this style of hide before in Wellington.

Out and about for a day's caching around the Horowhenua/Manawatu area with SAROC and Yeetrees. A pleasantly warm and dry day, escaping from the rain back in Wellington.

A quick find early in the morning. I doubt anyone spotted me out the window! Nice cache. Thanks for the hide.
We looked for this for a few minutes only to realise we were on the wrong side of the road. Crossed over and the little bear quickly had it, in his hands. TFTC.
A clever hide, and tricky to grab because of a muggle mowing his lawn. Managed in the end and with team geocacher Mr. T hiding me I managed to replace without the muggle even noticing. Thanks for the cache. Worth a FP.
For months we had been planning a 100+ day but the timing had just never worked out for us. Now with Christmas and all of our summer activities behind us and AtomsNZ back in town it was the perfect time! AtomsNZ arrived at my house at 6.45am with Stardust718 in tow and off we went on our mission. The day was quite successful, started with a few solved puzzles then on to the KAS trail and the mint tin trails before squeezing in as many caches around Foxton, Levin and Shannon that all three of us hadn't previously found. Final total was just over 150 (just to be on the safe side in case we made a counting error). Most caches signed as AJS (or JAS depending on who signed it) to save room in the logs as some were quite full. Thanks to all of the COs it was a great day with many great finds.
# 1042: I joined forces with AtomsNZ and Jesso22 for a 14 hour caching day. Found at 4:41:00 p.m. The main goal was the KAS trail and however many more nearby caches we could find. Our total came out at just over 150 for the day so we were all pretty happy with that. Thanks to the many CO's that made this day possible. We had a great time travelling lots of back roads.
Log signed as AJS (our team name for the day).
A quick find here. Glad we made the stop to get this one.

As i was picked up just after 4am to head to the Manawatu I realised this was not going to be a dot day. This was an attempt to get 270 caches in one day. There are a couple of great circuits in the Manawatu that will help work toward this goal so thanks to the CO's that have placed them for our enjoyment.
Thanks also to my partner in geo crime and driver for the day Yetrees. Without an able driver an attempt such as this would be impracticable so thanks for enabling it.
Thanks to all the CO's for their contribution to my smilie tally.
It is forecast to be a long day geocaching, hoping to make the 270 target. To be honest I'd be pretty happy with 200, however why not go for the Emerald badge (see project-gc.com)

This cache was one of the many caches we found on our 6 day campervan journey from Tauranga to Lower Hutt via Waihi, Cambridge, New Plymouth and along the west coast to Wanganui and back to the Hutt. A mighty and enjoyable journey which took us to many great and iconic parts of the north island and of course some great geocaches. Many thanks to the many CO's for the great cache placements and for bringing us to so many new places. Sorry about the generic log but 200 plus to log. TFTC
3rd find for the day on a quick visit up to Levin. Last visit for a while as we have sold My Mums house here. So the last of the ties to Levin gone. Liked the container and the experiment seems to work well.TFTC.
We turned up, parked near by and found the cache not long after. Then the cache owner came out to say hi! That is the first time we have ever met a cache owner at their GZ. It was lovely to meet you and thanks again for putting the cache out for us to find!

A nice quick find with tmann421 and Princess-Emily while attending a local event.

sweet a nice wee hide on an overcast day heading up to do the new trail out of Foxton. tftc
Loved it... I enjoy these types of caches, hidden in plain sight!!
Hope we didn't disturb the locals or attract undue attention when we called past here - it is a nice quiet street - Thanks for bringing me here!

I suspected before even pulling up that I might find the type of container that was here. I've found a few like this, I really appreciate the effort of a good, well made hide like this. Not sure which house overlooks the cache site, but there was a gentleman gardening at no.2 who either is used to strangers out the front, or was oblivious to my presence. TFTC.
Working in Levin and caching after work. This was interesting as the footpath at GZ was being done up and I thought I might have to dnf this but Coordinates were bang on. As we have a similar hide found cache quickly. Nice hide and I like the container. TFTC.
