Today was a rare treat as the youngest of the Famous IV who hasnt been out caching for a couple of years suggested that it would be good to go for a country drive and grab a few caches along the way. Sought 13 and found 11. Unfortunately the last cache sought involved a scurry up a quarry face and despite a good luck was not found. However found plenty of kangaroos, bird life, livestock and one sleepy lizard along the way. Even had some time to call into the One Tree Hill pub for a couple of dark ales, pepperoni pizza and garlic bread. Some great caches found and 3 FPs will be awarded. Thanks to all cache owners for your hides and ongoing maintenance of your caches.
Strolling through the Anstey Hill recreation park, looking for pieces of paper to sign. Had already spent about five minutes, searching here, and had decided that I was leaving period and then check one more spot. Yahoo
I parked near by and made my way down to the cache.
After a short search the cache was found.

With a CITO this morning at the top of the hill here I decided to park at the bottom and do the caches
In the area before arriving at the event.
As the CITO was almost on top of this cache, I was picking up rubbish and found this cache in the mean time nicely hidden. Cache amd contents are all good

Yay. Found it while cleaning up nearby. Another fun adventure, many thanks for the hide.
GeoVenture Mega Event at Millicent, still looking forward to it!! A new date has been proposed for October 2021 now.

Today, jesswrigley and I started the day with West Beach parkrun and a breakfast nearby. A few morning errands were had whilst making a few geocaching stops, and then in the afternoon, I headed to Anstey Hill Recreation Park for a loop in the Gun Emplacement / geological hike section and surrounds. It was incredibly hot and not a lot of shade, and there was still kangaroos and other wildlife around.
This area could definitely use a CITO, as there was a significant amount of rubbish around the place. After searching a few spots, I managed to find the cache as per the hint. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks josh&ben for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Thanks for the cache Josh and Ben. This place could do with a cito hey. Great cache, good work and lovely location listening to the magpies. Cache in good condition
Nice hide! Glad I pulled over for this one! Unfortunately many litterbugs seem to thing the surrounding area is a dumping ground but nevertheless a lovely spot!

Found it while out walking today. Very sad to have to climb through a lot of rubbish that seems to be thrown down from the roadside. Spoils what it a lovely area. TFTC
Found after quite a search amongst the soursobs. Made a mental note that steep gullies should be searched after the weeds die off. Got it eventually though! Thanks for the cache josh&ben!
Found It!
This one took a bit of searching. After a lot of climbing around we eventually looked under the right rock and found the cache!

Today was another day full of caching and being social with a few events up around Anstey Hill, and with a potential FTF on offer Laighside Legands and myself headed off early in search of it. Arriving at gz, there was no one in sight and the cache was soon spotted and in hand not long later and our luck was with us as an empty log book was extracted. With the log signed and some time still to kill before the first event started we decided to head of for a few nearby finds, which proved no problem at all. After enjoying some delicious pie at the first event Laighside and myself set off to start caching in Anstey hill, specifically looking at a few of the puzzle finals that we had there. It was a great day for caching, the sun was out and shining and there were plenty of caches to be found. After a few hours it was finally time to head down the hill to the next event, and thankfully there was a cache nearby too. It was this cache that Mr Tardis happened to find in the first place he looked, that place happened to be my hands as I had found it a few seconds before he arrived. After more socialising we headed on our way again to keep finding caches, though as the day wore on the steep slopes of some of the tracks started to take its toll and my legs started to tire. I pushed on however, as the hours passed it was time to finally head back across Adelaide for the final event for the evening. By this time of the evening I was rather hungry and in need of a beer, which was quickly ordered. It was a relaxed end to what was a very enjoyable caching weekend and a good time was had by all.

Would like to try this one, and saw some caches went out from there. But as I got a baby on my back, it's better to leave the cache for next time.
A nice hide. Initially when looking at the map I thought i'd be climbing upward to this hide.... wrong.
A reasonably quick find on Sat 28 April 2018 at 09:00. My sore lower back muscles sure felt the terrain of this one [B)]

An attack to GZ by the Adders with 3 other previous finders giving direction, instructions were given on how to ascend to the hide. With careful footing holds to avoid the usual snake slithering (slipping and sliding) the hide was located. After the log was signed and replaced the supposed not so clever Blackadder's in the group of cleverer puzzle solvers questioned why they had chosen that way to access the cache when this way was much easier and safer. I guess it was just following the geocacher's rule. The hardest way in and the easiest way out? In any case, another smiley on the map. TFTC J & B
Plan A: Go and pick up Mrs. Sewer Rat and head to the Owlery to meet Doctor Owl and AnyMules. Grab an outstanding BFE before heading up to Anstey Hill for a wander and collect the last two BFE, (watch Mrs. Sewer Rat do her ReelBFENirvana happy dance) and a few other caches. Perhaps even add a few way-points to some already started multi-caches there. Plan A lasted until we got to the Owlery and the phone went BING. New cache. Beaumont.
Now on Plan C we were once again making our way towards Anstey Hill. [^]
As we drove up towards the goal this cache appeared on the GPS as closest. The numbers kept retreating and I could see it right next to the road on the Map. A park just opposite appeared and so I stopped. Just 45 metres away.
"How hard can it be" [^]
Out we got, crossed the road and looked..........DOWN
Bit is was now under 25 metres away.
"How hard can it be." [^]
AnyMules and I have gone down longer and steeper along Yurrebilla to find caches. So off we stepped and slide-walked our way down to GZ where AnyMules made a quick find. Now to get back up.
"How hard can it be." It certainly got the blood pumping. Although those five words haunted me for the rest of the day I really loved this cache.
Thanks josh&ben, this is what caching is about. FP awarded.

Solved this not after it was published.
Mrs Rat needed some caching therapy.
She also only needed 2 caches to get back to true Bob nirvana.
So brisal5 arranged to pick up the Rat and collect Doctor Owl and Anymules.
The boys declared how hard could it be .
We got to a spot the gps said 27meters.
The owl And Rat made an executive decision, to stay up top, and send Brisal5 and Anymules to find the cache.
They scrambled to the GZ and made the find. TFTC

An Owl, a Starfish, a Rat and a Mule decided to spend a day caching. "It's only 45 metres", said the Starfish."How hard can it be?" Hard enough that the injured Owl and Rat decided to send in the servants to find the cache for them, while they provided moral support from above!
Scramble down. Make find. Now to scramble back up again.
Thanks for the cache josh&ben. Found on 2 Oct 2017 at 12:25 pm. Find #5179.

My last cache find for the day heading back down the road towards Tea Tree Gully.
Managed to find just the right spot to pull off the road.
Enjoyed the short steep walk and had a few slips and slides along the way.
Damn sour sobs everywhere.
Cache found first place I looked and in good condition.
A few bags of rubbish strewn around the area.

After a stroll to a nearby cache,
I discovered that this cache was very close to where I had parked the pushbike
So off down the gully I tumbled !!
GZ was easily reached,
and I poked around the rocks for a while.
Nothing seen or found !! [:o]
It was while standing there scratchin' me noggin,
I spun around and saw the cache from about 10 metres away
Boo Yah !!

All good with this sturdy little container

Nice camo for the current season. The walk down or should I say slip down the hill only been raining for 30min. Nice hide tftc
Great find although i think we attacked this one from the wrong side as we climbed down from te street
It was a beautiful day and I thought it was about time I had a wander around Anstey Hill Rec Park. So I think that I took possibly the most round about way to get to this cache, considering I came up from Water Gully Track... Didn't realise that it was also on the other side of Lower NE Road either... TFTC..
Great cache. Nice spot find. Found a travel bug "unite for diabetes" and a lot of nasty spiders under rocks. Gloves for safety. Found it just as the sunset and now it's dark and how do I get out of here now?
Lots of potential hiding spots but we got lucky and found it in a couple of minutes. We took 2 TBs and left one in the cache. Thanks for the cache.

Well that was fun. Lucky the 4w muggles driving by could not see the madman slipping down the slope on his backside and scrambling over the rocks looking for the cache. Finally found it. Took a TB which will in all probability be heading for Europe. (Depending on the mission) Nice cache and hide. Well done. TFTC.
Terrain is slippery when dry too.
Thanks for the cache, josh&ben - a fine first effort.

At the time I did it, the terrain was slippery from rain, but I managed to survive! TFTC
Mr M-SEZ took the geokids out caching along with one of their muggle friends. This was our first stop for the day. A nice walk to get to it and the muggle kid made the find! Took a Rubik's Cube, left an eraser and 4 trackables. TFTC
We parked on the side of the road and made the trek to GZ, probably taking a path that was slightly more difficult than it should have been. The container was quickly located though, so that made up for it TNLNSL TFTC
Stopped nearby and did the scramble down the hillside (still slightly wet from the overnight dew and correspondingly slippery). The cache was at almost the first place Mrs TiedyeSmileys looked at, if only she had found it then it could have saved us a lot of up and down the hill searching around for at least a quarter of an hour. Finally Mr TiedyeSmileys had a closer look at that place and soon made the find.

Very difficult cache in the rain. Use caution. Made harder by GPS having no idea on location. Hardest one for me so far. Found after 20 minutes. Cheers!
Not too hard to find, just had to be careful of some slippery terrain! Maybe attempt during dry weather haha.
Found after basketball training and before the rain came down. Added a couple things to the stash, took nothing. TFTC
Came in from the top, taking the obvious track down .
The fog had started to lift here, so we were greeted with a great veiw down the gully .
An excellent first cache - waterproof, camouflaged, good hiding spot, interesting location, good sized container and parking nearby [^].

Day 7 of my trip to the Oz Mega in Murray Bridge with Mistraluna.
Early start to caching today with an attempt to get as many types of caches in the one day as we could.
Was a quick find here.
Thanks josh&ben for the cache.

Day 7 of our Oz Mega 2014 trip. Made another early start today in an attempt to claim our smileys for the 8 cache types in a day challenge. We ended up with 12 different cache types if you count the lab caches as one of the cache types.
Headed into Adelaide to grab a few before heading back out to Murray Bridge via this cache. Thanks josh&ben

The shortest path to the cache is the steepest route so I took a more circuitest path. Even this track proved interesting as I slipped over on the dry grass. Thanks Josh and Ben for a cache out there in an interesting and cool location. I enjoyed this one
Great hide for a first. Mrs Smirchie and Little Smirch went to attempt this one but after noticing the terrain, I was sent in. I guess it doesn't matter to them if I fall down the hill or get stuck on a rock! Lol lots of rocks down there, Iphone took me to each and every single one! But eventually it settled down and pointed me in a sensible direction, where something not quite right led me to discover this well made cache!
Now to get back up to the other Smirches! TFTC

Miss GG and i decided it was time we did a cache.. so this one was nice and close to home.
Its easier going down, you don't notice how steep it is till you turn around and look up.
Thanks for the cache Josh&ben.. I like your container ..

First Tuesday in November. The only day you can disappear from work at lunch time, and arrive back a couple hours later after finding six caches and nobody asks where you have been. This was the 10th year in a row that Freddo has taken advantage of the Melbourne Cup for caching purposes.
A great first hide!!!! Very good coordinates and a nice wander down the hill to the GZ!!! A favourite!! Thanks josh&Ben for thehide!!
Having had a close encounter with a brown snake in Port Elliot recently, I am a little cautious in areas such as this, and spend a good deal of time bashing the ground in front of me with a stick as I go!! No such meeting to-day, and an easy find thanks to spot on co-ordinates. Thanks josh&ben
I'm glad that I didn't pop down here in the dark when this cache was first published! definitely one for day time!
Kudos to ttrogg who did it at night, although I didn't change into boots, I left the Havaianas on! That was fun down hill! [:o)]
Whilst I was worried about being bitten by a snake, the only creatures to eat me were a heap of ants just up a little from GZ!
A great (camouflaged, waterproof & quality container) with 1m coordinate accuracy, VERY impressive for a first hide!
Nice work guys!
And a great location to boot!
Keep them coming!
A quick stop off to stretch the legs on the way to do the grocery shopping on a Sunday Arvo!
I was surprised to be only the third to find here after this long too!
Doesn't anyone like a little nature hike these days?
Thanks for the cache guys!!

This being the first cache out at nite since upgrading torch power (now have 3600 lumens to play with) a look was definitely in order but did change sandels for boots after reading location and terain rating.
Nice parking spot near GZ (empty) and being able to turn nite into day helped make for a reasonably quick find.
Was filling out the log when 3LG arrived to join in the fun.
Thanks for the cache and pennant josh&ben

Congrats ttrogg on the FTF : ) i arrived to find a familiar car at the scene and it wasn't to long before i found ttrogg with his super bright torch, what a beauty, after the log was signed and put away i asked him, what does the FTF pennant look like, oops someone put the cache back with out grabbing it LOL the pennant is now safely in ttroggs possession : ) the views from up here are fantastic and i wouldn't want to tackle the decent on a wet night Thanks josh&ben for your first cache placement and hope there are many more to come : )
