I think I found the tangle (although there were two choices quite near to each other).
It looks like the council has done some drainage work and some lantana trimming so I don't know if this contributed to my DNF. CO might want to check.

Wow! Didn't recognise the place this morning. Will have to archive this one as the basis for the hide is mostly gone and I suspect the rest will follow shortly. Glad to see council tidying this strip up though.
Thought it might have gone missing since last log was September but it is all ok
Sadly, I spent 30 mins looking at the wrong area about 15 meters east. Armed with a hint from a fellow geocacher. Once I got to the right GZ, I found this after about a minute. Then I got pissed on by a rat, who was sitting above right at the cache location! TFTC
My spirit sank when I arrived @ GZ - there is literally 'millions' of places it could be. The string of DNF's was also a little disheartening with some familiar names on the list that I usually use as PAF's which wasn't going to help here. Decided to give it 10mins and then I'd walk away ... BOOM found it with a few minutes to spare. SL & replaced exactly as I found it! TFTC
I didn't have much hope of finding this cache as it was late afternoon, the sun was quickly disappearing and I needed to pick the kids up from a nearby birthday party. It gets quite dark at GZ even during the day, despite the quite explicit hint I was still unable to find this cache with the limited time I had. Like Smalls Stroll up in Kellyville, I fear this cache might become my "Moby Dick". Will return again with re-enforcements for another assault on this cache in the near future!
Pleasure to bump into the owner of this cache. Spent a fair amount of time crouching around under many a branch. Found many strange and wonderful things (including a few bong bottles) alas no cache.
Poor GPS signal: Check.
Mosquitoes galore : Check.
Neverending locations for a micro in the jungle: Check.
Thanks jmax but I might give this a miss after 30mins. Need to talk to some previous finders. Even with the clue and reading the previous logs, I decided to call it a day. TFTC.

All good to go again with an extra clue as the GPS can be a bit dodgy in there.
Wow! Couldn't believe the difference down here after the big wet.
Log is missing and it looks like council might be doing some work? Or maybe just the effects of the flooded creek. Anyway, taking offline for a bit until I am sure it's safe to reinstate.

Last time I was in the area for geocaching, it was during the last week or school on a very wet day. Too many people around and the weather was a deterrent for treasure hunting.
Today was the extreme opposite. Too hot to be out there I had the place to myself. I had a bit of an idea what to look for from past logs, I just had to spot it.
After finding the right vantage point I noticed something that was marginally different and was worth a closer look.
I found the log inside two snap lock bags within the camouflage. Not sure if there was supposed to be a container there too but the log was still in good condition.
Thanks for the challenging cache.

Came back for a second bite of the cherry, but the only thing bitten was me - mostly by mozzies. Even with a helpful clue from the co, the cache still eluded me. Thanks anyway.
Had a good look around in this maze of lantana but not too much luck finding the cache. In the end I ran out of time and couldn't stick with it. Thanks anyway.
Found it with log sheet - signed the log with sevabo. Nice walk along to GZ. Thanks jmaxadventures.
Second attempt on this one. The light was a bit kinder today. Very tricky and the log is pretty damp. TFTC
Awesome. This is my 10th geo find and my first truly challenging one. After watching many geocache videos on youtube this is what I expect and want from my geocaching experience. Thank you.
Too many places, looked all over even brought Hawkeye the geoteen. Short of knocking down a birds nest (which I didn't give serious thought to)................ No luck today.
This was the second find of the day's "geocoaching" tour we took with coach Jmaxadventures. We learnt something at each cache, this one taught us that if this is a difficulty of 3, a 5 must be really hard! But seriously, we learnt what is meant by observing GZ for something that looks a little out of place. Really creative cache "container" which I don't think we'd have found without our personal cache coach, the CO.
Thanks J for a fun cache.

Came back for another attempt at this.
Too many places, no GPS accuracy, micro. Tried lining up the satellite photo...
Even with few leaves here this was still not a fun search. From the hint I think it's likely one of two types of hide.
Gave it up. I'm really not excited by bush micros. Even when I find one it's more an end of frustration than a feeling of accomplishment.

i am literally in the vins deep in there!!!

Today was my first day Geocaching, and Tangled was my first find. I discovered a log lying on the ground with one entry before i found the current cache, so I added the other log to the cache when I returned it to it's place. TFTC
Found it on a windy winter Sunday while walking the dog in the area. This one took ages to find and after reading previous logs I guessed what I was looking for but was still amazed to find it. A favourite point from me. TFTC
We were here for about 20 minutes before we found it - if I was a few inches taller it might have been easier to spot! Very sneaky - after I found it and pointed my dad in the right direction he still couldn't see it.
All good. Turns out the new container had just fallen onto the ground. A slight modification means it's ready to be found again.
Grrr! Has been muggled again before it even got found. I might have to relocate a bit. Stay tuned.
Pity I didn't find new one but found old stick!!!... Like this area - not enough time for me to search - maybe next time bring torch lol... Thanks.
Did a cache check after the few DNF's. Found the camo lying on the ground but no bison. I may have to order a new one so it may be offline for a little while.
Looked for about half an hour - GPS jumping about a bit but sure we were in the right spot. Several DNF's now so will wait for CO to check before having another go
Having reviewed previous logs before reaching GZ, I wasn't hopeful of finding this cache, even over an hour before sunset it was already extremely dark and swarming with mosquitoes. Without a torch I didn't rate my chances, and I was already getting eaten alive just a minute after arriving, so I gave up the search and headed on to more hospitable territory. Sounds like an interesting cache so I hope to return soon to give it a proper search. Thanks jmaxadventures!
Floundered around quite a lot looking for this one, but the iPhone consistently directed me to one spot, and I examined it thoroughly.
Could hear the neighbours over the fence while I searched.
Hopefully next time.

Searched for almost an hour, getting covered with spiderwebs and mozzies.
Just could not find. Will wait for someone else to find and then return to try again.
Thanks for the very tricky hide!

This cache find cost me a pair of cheap reading glasses and a pen ( I dropped them nearby).....I had to scratch my initials into the log, could the next finder please go over my RS scratchings, thanks. A clever hide.
loved this one looked around for a few minutes scratched my head then took another look and thought that doesn't go there and the next thing you know had the cache in hand. TFTC
Thought I would start today off with the more challenging one along here, only needed a few miniutes to locate TFTC
I parked in Chapel Lane and intended to do “It” first but, as I descended to GZ, I heard voices in the tunnel so I retreated and decided to attempt this one.
It took a while to secure the find. The GPSr took me close to where I eventually located the cache but I doubted its accuracy in that environment and looked further afield than I needed to. Anyway, I persisted and, in the fullness of time, checked something only slightly out of place and had CIH.
It’s a very nice hide, I can see how some have had trouble with this one. I certainly did. SL, TFTC jmaxadventures.

Unfortunately this cache left me with a 2/3 cache find tally during a walk from Crestwood Reserve through to Mackillop Drive Reserve.
Due to the location it was hard to get a definite lock on GZ but it felt like I was looking in the right place. Perhaps I should have expanded my search zone a little, as after about 10 minutes I came up empty so decided to escape the mozzies and leave this one for another day.

Found this cache some time ago and didn't log it. Arrived at GZ and could see all the possibilities here for a great hide. I thought about the name of the cache and saw something that could do with a search. After about 20 minutes of looking nothing would show and was about to PAF when I saw something a few metres away that could hide the cache and I guessed right. Loved the well camoed cache Jmax and this will certainly cause frustration for a lot of future cachers. TFTCM

Parked at the church after following the Google Maps which was a bit off as there was a footpath the other side of the creek. Made my way over and followed the pointer to GZ. I was a bit confused in the tangles for a while and reached the TAF stage but then made the find before I got a reply. Nice bit of work. Glad to get this one without a DNF.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Upon approach, I read past logs, OMG, so many DNF's on a newish hide, what am I in for.
Sometimes things just work out and spotted this faster than the other one. Thank goodness as I'm dressed just for mozzie bait (shorts and thongs). Thanks jmaxadventures for an excellent hide

30/11/13. 7:08 AM. Cache #1100. 3rd of 7 caches this morning; clearing out new caches to my west. A worthy cache for a milestone number. Redeemed a couple of last weekend's DNFs - Possum Magic, and then this one. Parked over near me old mate Pennywise and walked up the path on the correct side of the creek, to GZ.
Even with a TAF clue, I struggled big time, and my GPSr was sending me in circles. After about 15 minutes, I'd narrowed the search area a little bit, so I put the GPSr & iPhone away and started looking systematically. Still nothing standing out - until the sunlight caught something. Aha! Very sneaky. I didn't have much sunlight last weekend, so it made all the difference. Signed and then headed over to Westmead for "Missed It". Great cache JMA, TFTC. }:)

Darn! Phone was going flat and GPS jumping, that's our excuse anyway. I think we were getting a little tired after all of the Team Sunderland caches in this area. Thanks jmaxadventures, we will be back.

Came over and tried for this one. Parked in the church before realising I needed to be across the creek. A little hop and jump and I found GZ. Then after a little search and opening my eyes, I spied the thing I needed to find. It revealed the cache. SL and replaced. Gets a FP from me, TFTC.

23/11/13. 4:03 PM. Still working on a filter of those in my home 25km, under 2 months old. Today, with the rain holding off, I targeted those in my NW. Ended up with 4 finds and 3 DNFs with this being the second of my DNFs. It was a short drive here from "The Black Box", and in no time at all I could see quite a few possible tangled hiding spots, under the thick canopy, but no luck.
However, with today's caching time being limited due to geodaughter pick-up duties, I had to call off the search and head off to the next one (the nearby "It"). I'll have to come back another day now.

Don't have much time these days for caching, but am satisfied that my caching eyes still work. ; )
Found with snoopy and Casper on a very wet thundery night. SL #1104 on streak day #498 TFTC

Another 40 mins of searching without luck
Mossies r a problem and gettin sick of being poked in the head.
Hmmmm - a micro in the bush with no clues; I'll turn my attention to more interesting targets.

Wasn't sure how hard this one would be. With a string of DNF's I've upped the difficulty rating and added a clue. Hope this helps.
Spent enough time here to warrant a DNF. Got eaten alive by the mozzies and geodog #1 got bored a couple times that she kept heading back to the car so admitted defeat and called off the search.
My very first FTF!!!! Found on 22/10/2013 at 19:15.
This afternoon, I checked my emails and got the weekly Geocaching.com email and as usual, had a quick check of the recent caches close to home, and to my surprise, found that this one was still not found two days after being published. Not being a Premium Member, this was an opportunity too good to miss, as by the time I get newsletter, new caches are already found shortly after being listed. So now the race was on....
On the bus on way home from work, checked app - and good news, still not found. Arrived home about 18:00, quickly got GPSr, tweezers, torch & pen; punched in the co-ordinates into GPSr; said Hi & Bye to geowife & geokids and with their puzzled looks still pointed at me, rushed out the door, into the car and took the short drive to GZ. Parked the car and walked over to GZ, thankfully the drizzly rain kept nearly everyone indoors, and I had the GZ site all to myself. And so the search began....
I noticed evidence of the previous unsuccessful searches, and over the next hour or so looked in all the likely places but to no avail. During this time I nearly gave up two or three times, but the lure of my first FTF kept me going, stopping and thinking and then searching again. With fading daylight, and with defeat imminent I finally snatched victory from the jaws of defeat and found the sneaky hide!
Then with trembling hands and a racing heart I opened up the container and yes, the log was all blank and the elusive FTF was finally all mine - great pride and satisfaction. I signed the log, took a victory photo and then put back the cache as I found it. So you think I am happy and excited? You betcha!!
Great hide jmaxadventures one of the best I have found so far. SL TFTC.

I got tangled up at Tangles but alas did not untangle this hide. All very eery at midnight with lots of nocturnal clammerings nearby accompanied by the plaintiff hoot of a Boobook.

After a very unsuccessful morning of caching, I arrived home to find a heap of new caches published. This was the closest to home so tried to improve my find rate for the day. Looked in areas that seemed to match with the cache name but it wasn't to be.
