GZ is now quite overgrown with gorse and cutty grass and not very nice to visit! So I removed the cache today.
Easy to find GZ but abit more of a mission to get to the cache. Lots of gorse, and prickles etc.
Got there in the end, wouldn't try it wearing shorts. TFTC

Out of respect for my legs and arms, and after the last 3 hard days geocaching, I'm going to not attempt the wasps, gorse and cutty grass this time, still recovering from the last nest.
#6438. I am staying in Auckland with the extended family. I need to find just two more caches to complete the NZ Jasmer challenge. Both of them are near Whangarei so a day trip was planned to drive north and pick up the target caches plus grab a few other old ones and any nearby caches while I still had enough time before driving back to Auckland in the evening. It was a stinking hot and fine summer's day in the north. With my two jasmer caches under the belt (Piroa Falls and Hugh Crawford) it was time to grab a few more local caches.
This cache: Carried on down to the last cache on this side road. There was space for parking off the road. Wasn't sure if the cache was on public land with the gate across the access road but what the heck, I am not here for long. The GZ has become rather overgrown but managed to slither through to the pole without too much torture. The container itself was wet and the log is damp. Still managed to sign the logbook and returned the cache as found. Collected the code. Checked out the cache guardian. Holy moley! Thanks vistra for hiding the cache here.

Our third visit to this beautiful country and this time for a family wedding in Tutukaka. After that we will travel south exploring and finding some caches along the way.
Signed and replaced all of them as we found them.
Thanks to the CO's for placing these caches and keeping the game alive.

Started at the far end of N Ford Rd tonight to try and pick up all the Holy caches. Fourth one in the series and got quite a surprise when I opened the cache. Very ingenious...!!! 4th coordinate noted. Well, sort of.
I took the CO's advice and went for a walk up the hill to check out the view, which was awesome. However, when I got back to the gate, I couldn't remember the ccordinate, so had to go back and brave the cache again...!!! Maybe I should have taken the note pad as well as the pen...!!!

Whangarei Day2.
We spent a delightful day in the outer region of Whangarei, driving through the rolling country side then onto the sea side where many surfers were enjoying the waves.
A great variety of locations & hides were found.
What a nice group of caches these were, favourite point for this one,
Thanks for placing this cache vistra

Making my way out the holey trail, a nice drive, and a fun series of hides.
Many thanks.
Many thanks.
Catching up with a few caches on our way out to the beach, having a picnic at the Nikau eco camp at the estuary so finishing off these caches along this road. Holy moley alright ...cache of the day for creativity.....loved it, thanks for the cache and a fav for the best of the day.
Our second stop on the Holy trail and a lot more successful than the first. Loved the hint and the hide. Thanks.
Visited the cache today, replaced the container that was cracked and pruned back some of the gorse! I might need to move this one soon, the gorse and cutty grass is starting to take over GZ.
Holey moley! That is one ugly mole GZ a bit overgrown, so was a prickly grab. TFTC.
Read the hint and instantly spotted the GZ from the car. This one gave me a bit of a fright. Very well done. I'll have to bring the kids out this way and show them these neat caches. TFTC
I liked the critter at GZ! Container clicks have broken, all good for now.
Cruising around Whangarei, and its environs. A lovely fine day to be away from work!
Thanks for effort put your hides.

Utter Genus! had heard many times from the proud CO about this cache and he has every right to feel proud... !! very well done - earns a fav from me ! ooh that feels so revolting.. couldnt even bring my self to squish it.. and the friendly muggle wouldnt come close ...
A day that started in Opononi and ended in Whangarei, a quick burst around the middle of Whangarei while dinner was being collected and then a "Holy" time in the later evening by myself. All good fun - thanks.
I was heading to the Keep New Zealand Beautiful event and had time to gather a few caches first. I decided that as I was present during placement of all but the final that this was a great time to claim them all. It was a quick easy gathering of all the trads as I knew exactly where they were and no GPS was needed.
Looking good, still performs as intended, one of the clips is missing from the container though. TFTC

Left this holy cache until last on our way back. A bit prickly, this one! Holy heck. Enjoyed this easy fun themed trail. Seem to be following and crossing paths with foxes today! TFTC
TFTC!
Was out in the open and not in the hole I believe it was supposed to be so it's back at home I think.

Holey Moley….. a surprising find and one that Yeetrees didn’t mind, thanks for the cool hide, not far from the road side.
Decided to do a bit of a day tour of Northland and grab some easy drive-bys in the process. Thanks.
10.45am. Attempting the seven up this road . Scary but easy to start.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
Well this one gave me a surprise. Well worth taking a look at the view. Thanks for a great cache.
(759) Going for the Holy Grail today. So needed to find the six Holy caches in the series. TFTC
Wow, Holey moley. Talk about jump. Once the feet were back on the ground, managed a sign and replaced this interesting find thanks.
OMG I did drop it then had to stand there and pick off the grass. Clever hide. TFTC
#6162 (FTF #126). A bunch of new caches popped up on our first morning in Whangarei, so we decided to have a drive in that direction to see if we could beat the locals. Being on holiday we didn't have to worry about work getting in the way of caching. Good to meet Mr Moley (thought I'm not sure how durable he will prove to be). TFTC.
I opened the cache container then just about dropped it - had to get StreetWalker to retrieve the logbook! The things people find...Loved it. TFTC.
