Logs
Out with a few members of Team SEAC on our bikes today. Sorry for the generic logs. Thanks so much for placing these caches. All logs signed either SEAC or Team SEAC.
A plan was hatched for available Team Seacers to head over and check out the caches on this new cycleway. NurseDr, UncleSam, Mr Stik-a-Crane, cragger and laval were all keen. The weather was great, company was awesome and caches were of course fantastic! We were riding on the wrong side of the road but the didn't stop the crew....some went off the beaten track, others followed the path and then crossed the road but thats all insignificant...the main point is the cache was found and signed. Thanks for the cache.
Navigating the busy road crossing here was the most difficult with this find.....In the area today with the SEAC group of cachers for a cycle along this newly cache populated cycle way......I had managed to pick the odd on off on previous visits to the area, so today we were going to do the trail in its entirety.....A good variation of cache hides here as expected from this CO, meaning an enjoyable day was had....plus they were all there and in good condition.....Signed in as 'SEAC' to save logbook space as I was joined by Keylev, UncleSamNZ, NurseDr, Laval to name a few.TFTC.
**#19,549**First find for the day, 6.50am is a bit late for us, must have been tired from the 92 found yesterday!Parked up in the entrance and quick walk down to the pump station, after a bit of a look around the cache was soon located.TNLN TFTC!
Team G0LD (Geos 0B8, Lis & Daffy) on a mission to Auckland today to get enough points for this months souvenir challenge. Higher FP caches were the main target, but we weren't going to pass up any others that were close by either.Parked up near here to do the four closest ones. Cache was soon found in the hint location. TFTC
Out with team Gold today (0B80B8 and Lis Crew) collecting some caches in the Albany and Greenhithe area. Lis soon located the cache at this cool little building. TFTC
Team G0LD (Geocachers: 0B80B8, Lis's crew and DaffyNZ) are on a one day mission/dash down to Auckland. We're targeting the caches with high favourite points for this month's souvenir challenge. We had a great day and easily achieved our goal as well as got some exercise with roughly 22,000 steps for the day. We parked nearby and walked to the four caches in this area. This team is certainly pumped and ready to geocache. A fast find of this nicely blended in hide. Thanks for your cache
Getting to GZ was a little tricky as for some reason there is no footpath on this side of the road once you go past the nearby bus stop so we had to walk along the rather boggy grass verge while cars whizzed by.
But once at GZ it was a nice quick find after waiting for a muggle to leave.
Blends in well. TFTC.

GeohoundandI asked what we were looking for. A micro close to ground level. Just like this one she replied. So much easier in daylight than last time I looked in the dark.
This was the last one of a successful day of yellow “found it” faces. We all did a few laps of GZ when 9 year old plonked himself on the ground and just looked straight ahead of him. Such a relief when we heard him say “found it!” Thanks for another great day of finding your caches!
Grabbed this one in between traffic light sets as. the cars were backed up near us.
Signed in & now to find the entrance to the trail.

First stop here and a place I've eyed up on the way to the shops in the past and sighted an easy parking option. I initially thought I'd park here for all my efforts but moved to a nearby car park after finding just the one here. Cache was soon located and replaced as found. T F T C G-2
A slightly early finish at work today and my eye was on a trip out Albany way and a small loop walk to swoop up a few available options. 14 attempted and a dirty dozen finds was a good yield for a dreary Wednesday afternoon sports choice. Home for a great meal and a glass of homemade plum wine, life is good.

Very easy find! Great camo but it didnt fool me! TFTC (I didnt sign log because of covid but I took a photo of the log)
I thought about parking right by GZ but I planned a walk through Totara walk trail so found a longer term carparks a couple of hundred meters away. Quick find here. TFTC
A few sounds from inside made me wonder if a geocacher had been trapped...
Found quickly. Good spot. TFTC

The magnet holder has gone rusty and came off the holder. I put it back together but probably needs a new container
#807. Quick walk on my lunch break to keep my streak up. It wasn't where I initially expected it to be, but I continued the search, and find it I did.
The cache itself is in great condition but the way it's held onto the structure is starting to lose its grip a bit.
Thanks for the cache!

Out with my nephew finding a few caches on this glorious day. Thought we'd be able to drive along the road to this one from the University, but alas the gates were closed. So we strolled along to GZ and actually located the cache fairly quickly.
Making our way back now and still trying to make the most of the daylight.Made a small detour to grab another find here.
I've been attending a conference on the Massey University campus and this morning, on my stroll across to today's sessions, I decided to pick up this cache along the way. It was a quick find and sign, which meant that I had a smiley before the first session of the day started. Thanks G-2.
Was in the area this morning so stopped here for a quick PnG. (Pretended there were no yellow lines there cos the grass had grown out over them) TFTC
Nice quick find here which means I have time to go elsewhere - keep expecting to hear my phone to say 'gar' has finished with his meetings and is coming to pick me up, but not as yet. Nice hide G-2 - despite all the traffic no-one would have known I was here.
A quick find after completing the nearby bust trail. The magnet is still working but is looking somewhat corroded, may fail before too long.
Found with Boogie-O - after doing some orienteering training for the World Masters at the Albany campus nearby. Thanks G-2.
On my first pass, I searched in the right place, but missed the cache. I had to do a more thorough search to find this one. TFTC.
Actually found this the other day but forgot to bring a pen - rookie mistake! Stopped back in today and got husband to find it which he managed without too much difficulty.
Was meeting a friend to watch the new Star Wars film, and was running a bit early, so stopped to grab this cache on the way (nice hide, thanks). Didn't allow for crazy, evening, Christmas shoppers at the mall - no car parks to be found, and was late meeting my friend... at least I found the cache though, eh?
I came here earlier today and I know you wouldn't believe it but there was a guy perhaps a student sitting at GZ, leaning on at the building, drinking a pile of beer and other stuff! So at that time I could see it wasn't a good time to find the cache. So after doing the totara walks down the hill I came back here to have another go. This time it was a breeze to find the cache. Thanks G for the cache it blends in well.
Found on a late night excursion after looking at what we thought was the cache but wasn't. Another clever hide.
After finding "The sword", I followed the trail back up the hill. This was a cool find just as it was getting dark.
Out for a Saturday afternoon caching adventure to clean up a few more on the north Shore. Tftc.
Got the wrong corner, then thought we'd broken something! My favourite kind of cache! All in good condition, tftc!
Had dropped Miss NZT off and needed at least one cache for the day to continue our streak. Looked at the map and here was a group that we hadn't done yet.
Made a last decision to turn into here and a quick walk to GZ soon had the cache in had.
TFTC (Streak day 57)

Yay! A quick find on our rather long walk caching between Greenhithe to Albany Mall for the Boxing Day sales.
I was in the area and had some spare time. So what else was there to do but find some geocaches. Had to go right arouns, as the GPSr compass would not settle down. Cool hide.
Seems to be a popular spot for cars to turn around in. Two cars turned around while I was walking to GZ and then another while I was replacing the cache.
On a road trip with Princess-Emily.
This one was just up the road from where we were staying.
A short search and we soon spotted this well camoed hide.

Quite tricky !!!! But luckily phone gps kept taking me to correct space ....sure I'd already felt there before !!!
Last for the evening - Score - Kiwiscot 2, Scot 2 & todays loser, Kiwi 0 with 1 DNF.
We are up to a challenge where we have to find so many caches at night. So a plan was hatched with Helefant to join forces and see if we could make this fun. What a night we had, armed with torches, enthusiasm and lots of laughter. Was coming past this one on our way to another cache and decided to give it another go. No troubles this time, put our hand on it nearly straightaway. SL. TFTC.
Too clever for us today. We just couldn't locate it. Never mind, try again another day.
After 13 months of hiding it was definitely time it was found by this cacher.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Yet another interesting hide from Glyn. Got there easy enough once the clue was read correctly.....
This is the third closest cache to work. . Nicely hidden.
It was a sunny lunch time so three of is figured we'd go out and stretch our legs. Glad we did.
Find #563. Thanks for the cache. 18/07/2014 12:19

The GPS was playing up today, but once it settled the cache was soon in hand. TFTC!
Spending the day catching up on an abundance of unfound caches in our patch. Quick find for this one TFTC.
Out caching with Reveurs. We had decided to call it a day and head home, Reveurs stopped for me to pick this one up as we were heading passed it anyway. She had got it a few days ago. A quick find. TFTC.
Last find for the day. Quickly retrieved, then kids whizzed down the hill on their scooters for a play at the park.
Yet another just-on-dusk drive to Albany for a cache. This time we headed for the Pump Station. Made a quick park n grab at GZ thanks to the hint. TFTC.
We decided to give the Albany mountain biking club's track a go with the kids on a lovely (not too hot day). As it wasn't signposted it took a bit of working out where to go and when I turned on the GPS, this one popped up 23m away so was an added bonus!
Great track, pretty challenging but good for getting your skills up .
TFTC Glyn.

Made a quick illegal parking stop and made Ryan get out and find this one. Thanks for the cache
After yesterdays visit to the bottom of the hill, this time headed to the top. Had a look, had another look, read the logs, added in the "Glyn Factor" and the fact that I was looking in totally the wrong corner (North & South are not my strongest points) sure enough, there it was.
Nice hide, thanks for the cache

Felt adequately dressed for this one. well hidden, there were kids nearby but they didn't see/care
TFTC!

Enjoyable wander down the hill to here and with there not being too many options available we had the cache in hand nice and quickly. Another nice little hide, TFTC
