Logs
As there's been no cache to find for some time, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Didn't knew it was disabled, still in my gps. Need to say it was a bit stinky here, maybe cause it was the only tree around.
Several logs have noted that changes at the cache location have rendered the hint invalid. Needs updated or removed?
Second time I've DNFed on this. As with the previous visit GPS put me in the middle of the road so had to rely on hint which just doesn't help as, not for the firts time, I note it is no longer valid due to changes at the location. An updated hint would be helpful and I wonder whether a Needs Maintenance log needs to be posted? Would love to know where others have been finding it. Very messy over the bank. Needs a good CITO session! Will put this on the "lost cause" list I think.
991 Down in Timaru for indoor bowls. No play today so a trip to Oamaru with muggles. Took some finding as hint has been cut down. Eventually able to sign to the relief of my muggle friends
Found on our 25 day New Zealand South Island holiday.
Apologies for the late log but with little or no internet as we travelled and only super slow WiFi in van parks I decided to log all finds on my return home.
Stayed in Oamaru for the night and went for an early morning walk, thanks for bringing me here and

Today we we have a loock around Omaru. On the way we took some caches. And this one was one of it. TFTC
GPS points to middle of road. Had a look at a obvious place but came up empty.
Don't go in long grass in the rain and then look at the other logs afterwards. Gave up quick in this one.
GPS had me in the middle of the road so had to rely on the hint. No luck. Now read some previous logs which suggest that hint is out of date due to some trees being removed. Another day.
Few small pines along here have been taken out. Could find it under the remaining shrubs.
OH YEAH!!! MY FIRST CACH!! This is so fun.

Up from Dunedin for the day, Geocaching with GPSmith for his birthday today. This was indeed a very awesome container. Cache found easily. TFTC
Found as part of a great day in and around Oamaru. Still reckon this is the best caching area I have ever encountered. Original standard set by Bitsprayer, but now a few others adding to the story. Many thanks to all!
Yes an amazing view Thanks for bringing us up here ... Loved the large cache too thanks waitaki999
Indeed a grand view of the harbour. The cache makes a comfortable home for the log. Plenty of room.
We loved this one as I am just introducing caching to a friend and his son loves the "container" he is fascinated by them (he is 4) thanks
Dropping off a trackable in a cache that has a great view of the harbour steam-punk playground. Picked up 2 TBs at the same time.
A quick easy find, with a great view of the harbour, and the waves washing over the breakwater. TFTC
