Heading into the city this afternoon I had a few hours spare so opted to do a few caches around where I was spending the night. Parked centrally and did a loop walk around the streets.
Using a clue from a previous cache I spotted this one. Wow be careful at GZ those wasps look like they are ready to pounce on a mis-directed hand.
Thanks

While returning from another cache in the area, stopped by to take in the art and add my name in the log.

What in interesting piece of street art this is, indeed. you can easily see that this contains multiple layers and hopefully it keeps evolving as time goes by.
Like probably many others I first attempted to find the container, too. But it was soon obvious I need to choose a different tack, step back, and let the art speak. Then came the thought, the "what if...". Big Grin

It still took a few minutes before I had the logsheet out in the open. Only afterwards the penny dropped on the hint. Based on the vocabulary used and the context overall here, I had read it from the Christian viewpoint but it turned out to be more of a secular thing, just using words normally limited to certain environments.

All good here in the cache. TFTC, Bonaccordians!

I had to stand back and appreciate the art before I was able to retrieve the log. Thanks. always loved this angel growing up

I've been meaning to tackle this cache for sometime but was a little apprehensive after reading some of the logs. I must of spent ten minutes examining the art work close up in detail before stepping back and taking it in from a different perspective. Aah there she be. TFTC bonaccordians.

Took a slight diversion from my usual route home from work today, after a morning shift, to pick up a few caches around Rushcutters Bay and Double Bay, in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. This was the 5th of 5 finds for the afternoon.

After striking out at "Walk the Pipe Home" I was now heading for home, but stopped off at Edgecliff for one last cache. Parked the geomobile in New McClean Street, and then crossed over New South Head Road to reach this one.

Found "The Angel", which was not quite what I was expecting, then went looking for the cache. Searched for a while, guided by the very helpful hint, and was starting to run out of places to look. Then noticed a slightly less accessible spot that I hadn't checked and, after a bit of "touchy feely" I finally had my hands on the cache. Well that was a little bit tricky. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC bonaccordians.

Staying in Potts Point for work. Ran up to this location on a nice Sydney evening. No problem collecting cache. Interesting 'angel'. Not quite what I was expecting. That was makes this hobby fun - the unexpected.

Disappointed because this is the first one I tried to find by myself:(

On our way out to Darling Point, stopped by here.
Really enjoyed the Dutot story. Thanks for that fascinating wee insight into a piece of Sydney history. Nice.
Made a reasonably straightforward find on the cache. Had to battle our way through a flock of pigeons to get at GZ.
All in order; log signed, cache safely re-hidden, just as found.

Found with morry9. I had to run an errand in Edgecliff, and morry9 was available to accompany me and attempt a few caches while we were out. While waiting for the office to return from their lunch break, I went across the road to find 'The Edgecliff Angel' Traditional Cache. It was a quick find but I inadvertently knocked it over the edge (literally) and it fell to the ground of the level below. I walked around to collect it and thankfully, its robust construction meant the cache was unharmed in the little mishap, phew! I walked back up to perform the signing duties and return the cache to its hiding spot. Once the errand had been run and was out of the way, morry9 and I went to 'The Bells of St. Marks' for a quick park and grab. There was a neighbouring pooch who appeared very lonely and was watching me intently underneath the fence (see attached photo). We moved onto the 'Lost Boy' Multi Cache next and we located the clue to work out the final resting place of the cache. Many a time, while out geocaching, both morry9 and I have felt like lost boys! We then popped down to 'Grotty Yachtie: CYC' for a relatively quick find, followed by a Did Not Find at 'Sailing with Ben', although we did not have a good opportunity to conduct a thorough search with all of the muggles out and about. As a final hunt for the afternoon, we walked over to the other side of Rushcutters Bay Park to make contact with some alien lifeforms at 'Take us to your Leader'. Not the hide we were thinking of, so it took us longer than it should have, but one we have seen before. Nevertheless, it was good to finish up with another find under our belts. Thanks For The Caches to the respective Cache Owners!

For today I wanted to visit some caches. After studying the GC map I decided to go to Edgecliff and Darling point.
As it was a Sunday and the weather was nice I expected I would not be able to search for all the caches I wanted to visit. Because at some places I expected to many muggles.
I left my apartment just before 12am to cache the train from Martin place to Edgecliff.
Because I finished my search earlier then expected and with less founds than I hoped for I decided to extent my search.
At the end of the day I had found 9 caches. 2 caches I could not find. And 4 or 5 I had to skip due to muggles.
When I came close to GZ of this one I got confused because the angel was gone.
After checking the cache listing I found out that the angel has been replaced by some love letter.
After a few minutes I decided to take a little more distance from the Angel.
This helped and I spotted the cache.
Thanks for this one.

A nice quick find here in the obvious place.

Heading from Greystanes to Bondi for a charity event and only needing 4 more
To reach 700. I'm after some quick park and grabs. I was to busy looking at the Angel as I approached GZ. So missed see the cache in the heavens on the first sweep. But after taking a step back. All was seen. TFTC.

Worth noting that the artwork is currently a marriage proposal. Cache check yesterday, it's still there.

Lots of pigeons here this morning probably due to the guy sitting in the shelter feeding them. A bit of prior research meant that I had a good idea where to look, and the cache was an instant find in the first place I checked. TFTC

1st cache for 2016.
Had a bit of a look at the GZ area, could see nothing. So wandered around looking from different angles and finally stepped back and then I saw it. I'd been so close only minutes before.
There were so many tourist muggles walking around and looking everywhere this morning that I blended right in.
So I'm on the way to my target for the year.

We didn't find it, but we think we do, but nothing was here.
The place for the log was empty.
We are not 100% sure, but if someone who already find it before can check, it could be great.

23-Dec-15
I got it!!!

Unfortunately the log was too wet to even try and unroll it.

This one took me way longer than it should have, maybe it's because it's my second day wearing contexts? Whatever the reason the search was worth it, even if I did spend over an hour.

Sixth geocache! By far my most difficult...

Cache was hidden so well, I took 15 minutes walking around staring at the wall before I finally got the hint. Stealth is definitely required; I was sure I got a few looks while I found the cache.
Really fun, interesting backstory. TFTC Smile

#2362 (2 of 3 today) (Streak day 165)

Tonight is Trivia back at work (not that I'm there anymore - we came second by a single point, BTW) so decided to head there early to grab a few caches first. I seemed to have my muggle eyes on today as I DNFed as many as I found.
Afterwards, I decided to go for my first nightcache in ages. At least that was found with no problem.
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
Walked from my previous DNF to be greeted by the amazing mural. Not many spots here to hide a cache. Checked what was there - nothing.

So I appealed to the heavens for help and lo, my prayer was answered and the cache location was revealed unto me.

Made the grab, completed signing duties and replaced.

TFTC,
Nana nel had previously done this cache and wanted to show it to me. What a great message and concept.
Arriving at GZ, I probably did what most people do and while Nana nel stood back watching me, I felt like a fool for not being able to locate it. I resorted to the hint and stood back to reflect on the position. After a few (many) seconds, i saw the wrongs of my ways and soon had CIH.
A deserving favorite, visited a group of trackables.

Glad for the hint with this one to get us to the right level and point us in the correct area - looks less suspicious than standing around there by the traffic lights searching for ages ;p The log paper was quite hard to get out of the cache, but we managed in the end. On replacing the log paper, we rolled it up more tightly so that the edges hopefully won't get stuck under the lip of the tin. TFTC BC Smile
