9 years on, it’s missing, nice place to hide if someone else wants it, that’s if they can get there before I get there -;)
I wasn't sure I'd have the gumption to find this cache easily so had to chew over options before getting stuck into the find. Only my second ever find of a cache like this, thanks G
With a free weekend stretching before me like a free thing I needed to come up with a plan as to what I would do with the available caching time. I decided upon a Friday trip to Piha, Saturday a trip out to Waitawa Regional Park and Clevedon and Sunday will be Orewa and Millwater. No real goals, just find some caches and enjoy the weather.
I left work a little early so as to beat the traffic through the main busy bits, and I was successful thankfully. I managed a few caches and it was lovely and quiet everywhere before the weekend warms up with people everywhere.

Squeezed it one find while out these ways today. First time to Piha for three of us - stunning day for it. Concluded our visit with a cold cider at the SLC overlooking the beach. The cache was easily found and replaced between muggles. Pen was playing up but managed to scrawl my name on the log. Another dot day filled - just 2 to go! TFTC.
Tricky find, tiny cache on a big structure. After the find had to go back to the car to get a tool to extract the log.

I found this cache as a member of the team LaMaLaMa (now: Mr_Lama).
Since the team unfortunately split up, I am re-logging with my new account Lærry.
I hope you will understand.
Furthermore I thank you for hiding the many great caches!
Of course I will leave a favo to each cache where the original account did it. If I forget a cache, you are welcome to write to me.
Best wishes, Lærry

Thanks G_2 for the cache. It’s #1305 for us. We found your cache on 19 July 2020. Took a couple of passes to get muggle-free and then Mrs was right on top of it but still missed it! Once I explained what “ai” was in the hint we found it quickly. Nice hide in a lovely spot.
Awesome! Never knew this bridge was here bc we always went to the right side of Piha rock but tonight in racing the sunset left was a necessity from parking. Haha finding at night and had to poke it with a stick first to be sure
Spent a day in this amazing place getting some waves and of course finding the caches in the area right. Took my Muggle friend with me and he was the one finding it again for the third time. Some Muggles in the area but we manage to get this very different camo, I didn't know that part of Piha yet, I liked it, the bridge style is a plus to this cache.

Last piha find for the day on our school holiday day out. Mr 7 gets to claim the glory for this one! Took us ages and we were about to give up after 2 false finds, wrongly dismantling the bridge!! About 2m off GZ 0m. Didn’t attempt to extract the log as we would’t have got it back in again. Fun camo.
Our journey to the most beatiful, for us others, end of the world to New Zealand we have long planned and the anticipation was great. We had a wonderful holiday, came here and could log in the logbook. Thanks for the cache and best regards.

Today looking after the Kitekite waterfalls and Piah on the way we found it. Thank you for the Cache and Greetings from Germany!
5 People looked.... dnf.... maybe someone can send a pic so i can Check it tomorrow morning. If not thanks for the cache anyways....
This was my first cache of the day and I found myself surrounded by the three previous finders that I'd turned up with, all ready to judge my caching prowess. 'No pressure' they said!
To the turn of hotter, warm, cold, warmer etc I eventually got there. I had to! Nice work here G-2!

Almost had to do a DNF! Very hard!!! Thought the cache was chewing gum! Very cool cache and hiding spot. Couldn’t write in log book as couldn’t get the log out! Loved the originality of cache! Stimulating find!
Err... well, where I come from, these sort of caches stick out quite a bit (pun intended). I have actually seen these sort of fellas before as they have been very ironically in my caching home country and I had a very good idea what to look for. So, between muggles crossing, I searched the bridge and came up with the cache. Signed in and walked on the bridge after that to watch the little eels grow. TFTC!
Well this was a very quick find but what I found didn't match the description of a magnetic cache. Was more of a sticky solution than magnetic. Awesome camo though. Wasn't prepared with tweezers and couldn't remove the log to sign. Last cache to end my day in Piha. Did't come out here with caching in mind but has been some fun finds and lots of exploring.
Out and about with the junior members of team Lostcourse for a wander around Piha, today. We parked up on the other side of the bridge to eat our lunch, out of the blustery wind. But we were not going to be deterred so ventured over to GZ to look for the hide. Good coordinates resulted in a very quick find indeed. We got to observe a mother duck with her ducklings. Cheers for the cache placement!
Out with Red Roaming as we travel around New Zealand to celebrate my retiring from work ( well I am going back 2 days a week).
We are on our way from Piha back to Auckland via a meal with friends at lunch. The weather is lovely again today. Logs signed with our full caching names or DD and RR, to save time and space on the logs
Well fortunately we had seen one like this before, even so it did take us a few minutes to find. . New log given. TFTC
Apologies for the lateness in my logging.

Cache took a slightly embarrassingly long time to find or at least recognise it for what it is, nearly caught us out! Log wet so we removed it and left a new log after signing it of course! Lovely bridge with art work. Many thanks
Editing to give a Favourite point - excellent hide!
Travelling around the world with Dartmoor Deliverer celebrating her taking early retirement!
NB Dont forget our Devon UK Mega 2017 GC6JZNY this August in the beautiful East Devon area of our county. UK Megas are over one week full of events and geocaching - a wonderful way to enjoy our county!

My muggle sister found this - how does she do it so well when she doesn't play the game as often as I do? T4tc
Out to get a few caches today on the way to lunch.
A quick find after a short walk.
Log was sodden!

On our trip to Piha Kumoi and I found five caches - this was one of them.
Thanks For The Cache and many greetings from Germany.

Wandered up the creek to this interesting bridge. The GPS wound down to 0m, so I investigated the likely spot, without seeing or touching the cache. Looked at the next one and found what I was looking for at GZ+1 Thanks.
Found with SoStephOh and Seattle's Best.
Busy yesterday so we came back for a more thorough search when less muggles were around. Nice urban cache.
You're so clever.

Spending the weekend camping at Piha, thought we'd try caching out this way.
Muggle central yesterday so left it for another time. Came back today, weather not that great so managed to have a good search. Found cache but did not have extraction tool. Hope you like the photo.

Arrived at Piha yesterday for 6 days of camping. I haven't been here since I was a kid as I've lived in Melbourne for the past 23 years. So I was reaaaallllllyyyyy looking forward to this part of my holiday.
Piha didn't disappoint with weather and stunning landscapes. We came past this cache as we clip-clopped over the bridge and I found it, although didn't sign as I had left my pen at camp. Today, as we rode down to the beach on our bikes, I remembered my pen and made the find official.
Thanks for this cache. Always makes a holiday even more exciting when there's caches to find.

First caching session of the year. Decided to head to Piha to find a few caches. cache quickly located, but very high muggle factor on the first day of the year. Left a small piece of paper for a short term log. TFTC Happy New year
Found it, but there is nicht paper inside, so I took a picture.
Thanks for the smallest cache in NZ.

On our last night in New Zealand before flying back to Canada, I had to find a geocache, and this was it. What a great bridge. We loved seeing all the different birds that we never see in Canada. Thanks for a great cache.
Thanks. I missed it first time because of the tricky container. Piha is beautiful. We saw an eel in the water.

dlouho jsme hledali u všech sloupků, chodili jsme kolem kešky a štítili se na to místo sáhnout a když jsem zalezl dolů, geožena vytáhla logbook

Together with Fenz i had the pleasure to visit New Zealand. We were traveling around for quite some time and thought: Why not combine that with some geocaching! That doubled the fun and we found a lot nice places we wouldnt have, if we werent looking for the boxes invisible to the other tourists. For details on our cache finds see the logs of Fenz. We want to thank all the owners for their effort, the nice hides and the fun we had on our journey! Definitely gonna come back to you Kiwis, greetings from the other end of the world, keep it on!
On our short visit in Piha beach we found this cache. Nice cache 'cause its not hidden in the undergrowth. Tftc
Obvious, but not. Found it but not able to sign as log disintegrated within. May need a bit of attention. TFTC, lovely walk from the beach side to pick it up. Signed as CNSZ group
Was easily able to hide myself at gz while pedestrians walked above!
Many thanks for the hide

Nice quick find, thought we were going to need tweezers but it was fine. Signed with GA and date. Cache is broken as magnet is no longer attached, will need fixing. Cache is still hidden in location but not in the intended way. TFTC
Lovely winters day and a nice walk around the lagoon. Quick find made by Kiwiscot. TFTC
On our journey to New Zealand, xhead and I travelled to the South and the North Island and to Stewart Island. We had a lot of fun hiking in these great landscapes, viewing a lot of interesting animals and nice peoples. Sometimes a little treasure likes this Cache was crossing our way. Thank you very much for hiding this Cache in this amazing place.
Greetings from Germany, Akirey

Akirey and I visited in April and May New Zealand. First we decided to look around on the South Island including Steward Island then we went to the North Island.
All the time we enjoyed our trip. We saw a lot of sweet animals, amazing landscapes and met many nice people.
Also we searched for some caches. This one was one of them.
Thanks for hiding and greetings from Frankonia

After a great day out enjoying Apollo’s Pools and the Bivouac Falls on Saturday, evilno9 and I decided to come out again on Sunday to enjoy Piha. The weather was just perfect with a lot of sunshine. After a quick coffee stop we made our way to collect this little bugger. TFTC
I swear I looked here on a previous visit to Piha, but today I managed to actually find it. TFTC.
#11730. We were pleased we had the area to ourselves today. Nice bridge. TFTC.
Tomorrow we leave Auckland for Mt Maunganui, so it was our last chance to head out to Piha, a first visit for me and a second after many years for StreetWalker. We thought a weekday would be a quieter option than a weekend day, and so it was. What a beautiful part of the country. Many thanks to the COs for taking us to some interesting places.
All quiet at the bridge today but no doubt it's a different story on other days. I went to one side and StreetWalker the other and he soon found the cache. TFTC.

Never seen a hide like this, but we would rather call it a nano, or unknown
Thanx for hiding, it took some searching
