06-Jan-24
Out with the youngest Canpmellow grandson filling in time between pick up in Midland and a movie in Rockingham. We came to complete an adventure lab and noted two nearby caches; both very well constructed and camouflaged, a favourite point for both TFTC

Today's excursion led me to Woodman's Point, where the day unfolded against the backdrop of the tranquil coastal scenery. Amidst the calming waves and sandy shores, the atmosphere exuded a sense of peace and serenity. Before embarking on the next adventure, soaking in the coastal beauty was an experience in itself. Then, with excitement brewing for the geocaching quest, the journey extended to Beeliar for a promising "first to find." The transition from the peaceful coastal setting to the anticipation of discovering a cache in Beeliar added a thrilling contrast, creating an engaging narrative in the day's geocaching escapades.Exploring further into the nearby reserve's bush, the quest led to a well-crafted camouflage cache. Nestled amidst the natural surroundings, this hidden gem blended seamlessly into the bush, posing a delightful challenge to unearth. The craftsmanship of the cache's camouflage added an element of intrigue and skillful concealment, enhancing the thrill of the hunt and making the discovery even more rewarding. Cheers Greggiths!

Ok yeah, weird, as with previous logs there was definitely a new fence around here so we had to take the long way round and would have been very disappointed if we had a DNF.....thankfully pazza is more willing to look under blackboys than saz so came up with the goods after a lot of searching! Still not sure what this is? Very weird!Thank you Greggiths for placing and maintaining Someting weird for us and others to find and enjoy!

14-Aug-23
Found it. TFTC Gregiths. Found this little oasis and stopped for a coffee then noticed a cache nearby, just couldn't resist the challenge. Replaced as found.

12-Aug-23
Today TaurusSix and I headed to Perth to run errands, catch a theatre show and of course with time permitting collect a few geocaches. Our main focus was Adventure Labs , however we did collect a few Challenge caches and a few traditional caches as well. It was a nice drive up the weather was perfect almost too perfect for this time of year and has as become traditional we had a lovely breakfast / brunch at The crooked Carrot , it has become a favourite. All in all a lovely day and weekend and the geocaches were a bonus .

This was our fourth cache find of the day and we collected it while collecting the nearby Adventure Lab . It was definitely a bit weird in an intestine way. Needed to work out how to get to cache in first place , as there appears to be new fencing around the area. After we circled we found a way in . It took a while to find so it was quite satisfying to finally have cache in hand. Thanks for the cache Greggiths .

03-Jul-23
Thanks for the cache! Super fun. The capsule is a little bit unorthodox but we found it in the end.

01-Jul-23
I was in the area today as headed down to walk the nearby BWW series. Had time afterwards to pick up a few others as well Smile Had to go all the way around the new fence but after that it was an easy walk over to GZ. A few hosts to choose from once there but after checking a couple of them I was pleased to make the find. Well, more accurately, I initially found something odd and *assumed* it was the find, based on the cache name! Smile Certainly a unique container! No problems here today though - TFTC

28-Jun-23
Glad to come back and make this a smiley. Especially when it becomes my 900th find!

Had to take the long way around due to fencing and replanting but no muggles around on this beautiful cold morning.

30-May-23
Little A's soccer training has given me the opportunity to make this find.
Thanks for the cache

22-May-23

Yes, definitely wierd! A quick find here today. Tftc Smile

25-Apr-23
Ullyssia and I teamed up for a trip South of the river on our quest for the "seeking smileys" third souvenir. We were both about half way at the start of the day and made really good progress. Fortunately we were prepared for wet weather! Lots of interesting caches in this area, we will definitely be coming back...
This one was spotted fairly quickly - larger than I thought! Thank you for the cache Greggiths.

25-Apr-23
Thank you! Headed out to find some caches with papillon367 as we were wanting to meet the current challenge. The odd cache was found after a short search.

08-Apr-23

26-Jun-22
G’day Greggiths, unfortunately I wasn’t able to find your cache today (Saturday 25/6/2022). Cheers for the hunt anyway!

Night time wasn’t a great time to search for this one.

22-Aug-21
I've been back twice, second time with reinforcements! Still no joy ??
I'm not sure if the past two months of rain has created too much overgrowth.

28-Jul-21
Just the Turdler and I today, checking out a nearby child care centre. I saw there was a nearby cache and so after a trip to IGA for a new pen (the one I keep in my purse has magically disappeared after a Turdler rummage) and a quick bush bash we found our treasure!

We have travelled from Portland Victoria across to WA to see our daughter.

We are the victims of what we have now learned was unleaded petrol being added to the diesel tanks at Eucla. Many vehicles broke down across the Nullabor and we were one of the early ones.
As a result our car has been towed to Perth (from Cocklebiddy via Norseman and then Kalgoorlie)

While we wait. and wait. and wait for our car to be fixed we are staying with our daughter in Beeliar. Today we headed out on the bikes locally to visit the Beeliar Park. Beautiful day and park to be riding in although some of the tracks tested our bike riding skills. On our wasy back and we desperately needed an ice coffee but we thought we should have a look for this one as we went passed. We didn't hold out much hope as it hasn't been found for 15 months. Luck was on our side and we found this very weird thing indeed fairly quickly.
Thanks for showing us this part of the world Greggiths

A bit of a warm day to be in the bush. I quickly armed myself with a long stick and made a lot of noise as I slowly and cautiously searched . Luckily it only took a few pokes before I had the cache. Nice container. TFTC

30-Jun-19
Well that took a bit! Luckily the rain held off (mostly, a little drizzle never hurt anyone) even after PAF and said friend coming to help with the search I eventually found the not so little sucker. Tftc and have a fav from us.

09-Jun-19
Dropped the muggle wife at the nearby dome to catchup with a girlfriend so decided to head our and grab a few nearby caches between the showers.
Waited for the rain before heading in for this one. 8 months of unloved

Thanks heaps to Lizzar for placing and maintaining Something weird. I found your cache today. I added my name to the log and replaced where I found it.

Great to find this baby at the correct coordinates. We had no pen so took photo as proof of find. Thanks, we have a lamp at home like this. A favourite point is on its way; good job Lizzar.

02-May-18
Came by with Kyle_97TJ in the evening. It started raining, but we braved it and pushed on, determined to find this one. After a few DNFs nearby however, we were a bit disheartened. After searching and searching for a good half an hour, we decided to move on. Will be back.

26-Aug-17
This really was something weird but was able to find it this time in between swatting giant mozzies. Tftc. All well.

Loved this cache!!!! Thank you!!!

26-Jun-17
A late finish at work meant I would miss my mate at the gym so decided to go for a walk and grab some caches instead.
After I parked and made my way towards GZ I waited for some passing muggles to give me a clear window to duck into the bush and try and make to find.
When I got to the area the gps was telling me to stop a brief look around the area and something looked like a likely hide spot, I reached in and was please to pull out the cache.
Everything replaced and I was back in my way. TFTC.

13-Jun-17

A good camo on this one Smile

Smile Even though the weather forecast wasn't looking the best mrs jinta and I decided that we needed to get out of the house for some fresh air Big Grin. We had no real set plan and just followed the roads picking up caches as we went along Smile. A big thanks to Lizzar for placing this container out here for us to find [^].

Lizzar - jinta29 found your cache Something weird on 11/02/2017, 11:47 AM. This is my find #6287 and find #6 today. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for bringing us to this location and adding to the wonderful spirit of this game!

11-Jan-17
This was a bit tricky as I am adverse to grass trees, however, a very good camo really weird thanks for the cache a fave from us.

11-Jan-17
I am sure we looked for this one on a hot sticky day soon after we started caching but were driven off by vicious, aggressive grass trees. That was probably even before we knew how to log a DNF! Roll forward a couple of years & not much has changed. 35 degrees, scatched to bits on the grass trees BUT there is no need to log a DNF as we have the cache in hand.....do you know, I have a sneaky feeling we did last time too!!! Well made, worth a favourite for sure.

09-Oct-16

Came down this way yesterday but was not able to track down this cache. Rain was not a help, if we needed na excuse. Tftc!

30-Sep-16
Quick find. TFTH

30-Sep-16
In then area this arvo and thought I would stop in for a go at this one. Parked up in the parking area and made the short stroll to GZ where after a couple of minutes I spotted something a bit odd which caused me to investigate a little further. Turns out it was the lid/base of a nicely constructed cache.

Returned everything to how it should be and rehid according to the hint.

Lizzar I found your cache at 4:17pm, this was the 1st of 3 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 3547.

I was in the area today and I decided to try tackle this cache. I parked in the nearby car park and walked to GZ. Once there, I started looking for anything out of place. I searched for a while before reading the hint, which narrowed down the search. I found the cache soon after.
Lizzar, I found your cache ‘Something weird’ today. It was the First find of two finds with zero DNF’s and brings my total count to 629. The cache was found in a good condition so I signed the log book and replaced it as I found it. Thanks for the hide. Took TB

Had a few hours spare today after having to work a few weekends in a row, this was now my weekend on but got to have it off. A great feeling.
Breakfast with itskate then the grocery shopping and then cleaned the house.
Now it was time to do something. The sun was out and some close by caches were calling me.
So I hoped in the Geo car and away we went, B12 also joined in for a little afternoon hunting and we managed to clear the map of some new and old caches that had yet to be found.

TFTC! After a lovely Friday tackling the kep track series out towards Northam, Cravo and I managed to sneak in a little run out near his place in spear wood.

We haven't really done much caching around the burbs recently, having focused our attention on some Nice long country drives to plus some caches that have been on the radar for quite some time.

It was actually quite refreshing to be back out there searching for some good urban camo caches and alike. Cravo found most of these, a bit of a welcome change from the normal routine!!!

Hoping to catch up with everyone at the wa goes big event in Pinjarra on the wa day long weekend. Thanks

14-May-16

I figured I'd have a go at this after seeing it found recently but even with the hint I had no luck Sad it was very hot though and I was worried about snakes.. Must be a ripper cache!

19-Jan-16
Woohoo!! After not being found since July 2015 this almost feels like a FTF. I'm not sure how this has been missed, but anyway. Cool cache "container". Thanks for the cache. TAD. Pen or pencil needed as both pencil tips broke off.

2 prolific Canadian geocachers, one newbie and 2 muggle friends looked for an hour. No luck with this one today

03-Jan-16
This was a very difficult cache to find. Five of us were looking & had to abandon the search after over an hour!

03-Jan-16
Five searchers in our group, two experienced and three newbies. Spent 40 minutes and became well acquainted with grass trees and banksia nuts. We need help!

25-Nov-15
Couldn't find anything at GZ except a destroyed blackboy stump. Thought i knew what i was looking for but guess not. Thanks anyway

10-Apr-15
No luck today

18-Feb-15
Almost forgot to log this one. Out for a big job on a hot day. I decided to not do a cache, and just run instead. However, I ran way further than I wanted and ended up needing a break. I checked my phone to see if there were any nearby and found that I was about 70m from this.

Once at GZ, it took a bit of searching, but I found the funky object in the end. A bit tricky due to GZ bouncing around a bit. Thanks for the hide.

23-Sep-14
Drop in a TB

14-Aug-14
Great find !! TFTC left some things for kids too !!

11-Aug-14
I was searching for something weird here for a good twenty minutes or so without finding anything, so resorted to PAF. The hint I got helped, but it still took me a fair bit longer to find it. I think I've seen something like this somewhere before, but not sure what it is...TFTC Lizzar.

02-Feb-14
Out and about with JacobsCrew and iluvtrekking and stopped by here. We never had success with another cache that was placed nearby a few years ago but today I found the cache within seconds of arriving at gz. And yes I knew what it was and yes, we have seen two other versions of this same hide north of the river. Thanks Lizzar.

02-Feb-14
I spent the day geocaching with the Ricklinks and Iluvtrekking...It was a great day with beautiful summer weather...warm but not hot..We found all the caches on the list plus more...Great company and beautiful weather couldn't ask for more. This one should have been a quick find but it took awhile with 5 looking...TFTC

Headed northwards this morning with the intention of visiting a friend, but she had an unexpected emergency to deal with, so what better to do with myself than find a cache or three. This one didn't want to play fair, so I ended up trying PAF, but that didn't help much that much. So, being the stubborn one that I am, I kept on searching until I found it. Not that weird really, when you know what it is. Thanks Lizzar

08-Dec-13
Spent a long time searching here ... wasn't sure what I was looking for ... had all sorts of ideas going through my mind. Is it man-made? Maybe some weird mummified mammal or reptile?

Didn't find anything weird after a while, so eventually I phoned a friend who gave me hint about the hiding place and the size of the object and also mentioned the coordinates were very accurate. I did find the cache a few minutes later, but my GPSr had coordinates a few metres away.

It is indeed a weird object and I can't imagine how it came to be there ... I liked the way you used the object. Signed the log, grabbed two TBs and dropped off a path tag. Thanks for the cache Lizzar.

06-Dec-13
Dropping of another TB. The area looks like somebody has been searching around here.

30-Nov-13
Drop of a TB - DEFCON V1.0

10-Nov-13
Out and about with OOH YEH to find some caches today. Stopped here first off and although the co-ords kept telling me it was here, I just couldn't see it.
I was just on the verge of recording a DNF when I had another look and there it was.
I have never seen anything like it, so I am unsure exactly what it is but its different and you have made good use of it, so I am giving you a favourite point.

Out on a very hot day with skippy 46 to pick up some caches. I was hoping to get a lot of caches today as we left early but my plan of action didnt seem to happen as the geohubby who is away had a day off and solved 8 puzzle caches yesterday so we had to divert to go and find those ones plus i was determined to find the 3 duck 43 caches that i hadnt found yet so after all that we only ended up with 15 finds for the day. This was the first stop for the day and i previously had a DNF here but after about 10 minutes of searching skippy 46 found the cache. TFTC Lizzar

08-Nov-13
This one took a little bit of searching even though I had a good idea of what I was looking for, I was beginning to think it may have been muggle but no, I eventually found it. A good camo job, well done.
