I'm back in town for a GGNZ Training tomorrow and KCN kindly picked me up from the airport and we headed so some around town that neither of had found. This was one and I was really please NOT to have yo look IN the magnificent hedge.
A clue on a log a while ago confirmed I was looking in the right place and we soon had the cache signed and returned.
Found just on 5pm, but not logging til July

09-Jun-17
Yet again RuruNZ found the cache and as others have said - what a magnificent hedge. Would take a while to keep that one trimmed and a little like the one that we used to have when I was growing up that I used to climb in and around and get along the top of.

29-Apr-17
I couldn't find this one last time I looked several months ago but thought I'd give it another go. I reread all the logs and found one especially useful one so found the cache at the first and only place I checked. Glad to get this one off the dnf list. Thanks for the hide!

19-Apr-17
No luck.. we'll be back

02-Apr-17
Tricky. Was where we were looking but had fallen. Popped it back up

15-Feb-17
Thought we'd try this anyway even though there have been several DNFs but no luck.

25-Dec-16
No joy today

14-Dec-16
No joy here.

27-Nov-16
Team of 4 couldn't find...

19-Oct-16
In the area for an event and decided to grab some caches before heading home. Even with two of us looking we had no luck finding this cache.

11-Aug-16
Looked all along hedge and where east meets west but to no success Sad

17-Jun-16
Nice quick find on the way home from school. Tftc

04-Jun-16
Took us a while but good find.

29-May-16
The last day of our South Island holiday with tmann421 and collecting a few more caches while heading to the airport.

Found after a short search. TFTC

29-May-16
On holiday with just-Lookin - our last day before flying home.
J-L found this cache fairly quickly Today.
SL *Thanks for the fun find!*

29-Apr-16
There was only one place this could be, and sure enough there it was. Fabulous hedge

28-Mar-16
Yes, another super little hide, which I found straight away. The water proof logsheet is full, but I've placed a plain paper one in, which fits nicely. It should do the task as the container is watertight.

27-Mar-16
Our coordinates were quite out so we had to wonder up and down abit before Mum checked here. Thanks for the cache Smile

26-Mar-16
With the help of two grandchildren we were able to find this - eventually. Nice hide. TFTC

14-Mar-16
Tftc. A previous log helped us find this one, the log book is full though.

11-Mar-16
While Amalin is still in the Czech Republic, his geogirlfriend Aya already hunts hidden caches in New Zealand successfully.

Thank owner very much for this cache!

19-Feb-16
quite hard useful clue on log or wouldn`t have found it

05-Feb-16
Nice hide. I had to stretch! ☺

21-Jan-16
Looked everywhere! Maybe it got washed away in last years floods!

21-Jan-16
Talking a short womble along the river and stopped for this one. Cheers

13-Dec-15
Where east meets west, but higher than child's height. Thank you !!

06-Dec-15
Easy to find. Our first geocache in New Zealand! Thank you

26-Oct-15
A little out from Coord but Super Nanny found it. Tftc

26-Oct-15
Found this today by putting my hand up into a random place ...certainly I am not the height of a child ...
Think it may have been moved ...will email C O ....
Cool place anyway !!!!

06-Oct-15
Looked hard but no luck

27-Sep-15
Not our lucky day today unfortunately. Had a good hunt but couldn't find it.

15-Sep-15
Nice hide, TFTC

15-Sep-15
Wow, an impressive hedge indeed. Manicured!

Found the cache on the ground completely out in the open. Replaced where we hope was where it should have been based on the CO's previous note - will send a note so if wrong they can fix.

All in good order, TFTC.

22-Aug-15
Love it, my friend found it as she is 'the height of a child'

04-Jul-15
Easy find and one of the few waterproof caches. Tftc

20-Jun-15
I had been here briefly in the past but wasn't able to give it much of a look so didn't log a DNF. Found it pretty quickly today.. I thought I would have checked here last time... hmm. Nice hedge. TFTC (2061)

09-Jun-15
I'm 6'2 and get the impression this is a small persons cache! Bin men were out on the rounds also so couldn't search properly

30-May-15
Another down

22-May-15
DNF Again even with a master cacher.

10-Apr-15
Been meaning to do this one for a while now, as have often admired this hedge. Parked up where I thought would be an easy grab and read the description and logs. No, should have been round the corner. Once I was looking a very quick find. Tftc.

04-Apr-15
Wasn't too difficult for me as I am short, very clever cache!
TFTC!

31-Mar-15
I was in the city to investigate a cycling assessory (I was unsuccessful at that) and decided I would turn the trip into a positive affair by removing some business area caches from my unfound list. Although this cache is not in any business area it wasn't very far from my previous find so I thought I would try to find it. After being unsuccessful initially I read the previous logs and then widened my search a little. I soon located it by touch. TFTC.

29-Mar-15
Took a few visits. The GPS had me searching in the wrong place initially, but after reading the hint and having a think I found the little beggar. TFTC. One that had me thinking.

28-Mar-15
Yay, at last. Took 3 visits, but walked straight to it this time, really glad to have got this. TFTC Clever. Cool

24-Mar-15
Dropped off some used goods at Habitat for Humanity and realised we still had a few caches to find nearby. Owner busy doing some manicuring on his hedge today.....Had a bit of a rummage round where we thought we should we be but actually had to move further afield. Now off home to watch NZ in cricket semifinal.

20-Feb-15
Every day we are traveling around is same but also different. Today we had again the pleasure to visit some very beautiful spots and were also able to find nearly placed geocaches. I thank every single owner for placing it and giving us with doing this an other good reason to come here.

20-Feb-15
Mallorcatommy and I were travelling through the southern island of New Zealand. What an amazing, breath-taking landscape! On our way we did some nice walks, enjoyed ourselves and found great geocaches. Thanks to all owners for nice hiding spots... We wouldn't have been to a few places without these little boxes!

Thank you!

17-Feb-15
3rd time lucky. Decided to look away from the obvious

02-Feb-15
Hot hot hot day'!!! Found it though!!!

02-Feb-15
Found it!

27-Jan-15
Found it after a good search. It was on the ground in the grass however. Put it back where it's supposed to go.

16-Jan-15
Was just about to give up as the nth west rain began.... Then I had a quick check... Gotcha TFTC

10-Jan-15
Looked everywhere gutted no find

03-Jan-15
#8908. If a novice cacher was able to find this one post our DNF, then it was worth us old timers having another go. Troodles spotted the cache after a short search; I'm sure I checked there last time. TFTC.

03-Jan-15
We were heading up the Port Hills, so decided to swing by this cache and have another look. This time, the temperature was much more pleasant, and we were prepared to spend a bit longer searching, but after widening the search area, the cache didn't take long to find this time. Though StreetWalker was sure he searched there last visit, maybe the sun was in his eyes?
Good to turn a frown into a smiley. TFTC.

02-Jan-15
Tricky! But satisfying

27-Dec-14
We gave it 5 minutes, but no luck so decided to call it quits before we cooked in the warm sun. We were concentrating on the fence in front of the flax but reading past logs, looks like we should have searched more widely.

27-Dec-14
The heat meant our stickability was a bit less than normal. Still we gave this one a decent go and came up empty handed.

14-Dec-14
Quick find.

18-Nov-14
Searched for a while.

02-Nov-14
Looked where we thought it should be but soon found at GL. Also returned to find location. TFTC

02-Nov-14
Found with Sevren tftc

01-Nov-14
Could not see the hedge and found the cache on the ground - not quite sure whether it is supposed to be there. But returned it to the same spot - maybe the owner want to check this one. TFTC

05-Oct-14
Much easier to find today. Useful clue.

04-Oct-14
Great hiding place.

02-Oct-14
Found it

21-Sep-14
Quick and lucky find. Tftc.

03-Sep-14
6199. On my way up to the Summit Road to complete the caches up there. Was passing by (sort of) so called in to have another look. Searched all the likely places, and some unlikely ones, and then thought of where I would hide it. There or there! No luck. Looked at the hint. Yes, that fits. Then I stood on it!! It was on the ground among the leaf litter. After signing the log I put it back where the hint suggested. Thanks. Rodney.

31-Aug-14
DNF first one today Sad

31-Aug-14
Unfortunately the hedge seems to have jinxed me.

14-Aug-14
Good find and a clever one

07-Aug-14
Great hide, TFTC

31-Jul-14
Second visit found it. GPS was out a wee bit. But looked round and thought it could be there and it was...

29-Jul-14
Initially dismissed the actual hiding place as gps was pointing a few metres away. Then I thought that it must be where I first thought it would be and sure enough..... TFTC.

13-Jul-14
Aaah gotcha. No floods near me....tftc

15-Jun-14
Good hide

07-Jun-14
Found today in between muggles walking dogs, driving the down the closed road and running. GPS had me looking in a different place, then I thought I wonder if it's there - and it was. I had to head closer to Birdwood Ave than the coordinates. Clever hide. TFTC #107

04-Apr-14
Great hide, good fun, thanks.

05-Mar-14
Didn't even get close today (see photo)! I wonder if it has survived??

04-Mar-14
First visit to this, or any, cache. Just happened to be wandering past so thought we'd have a go. No luck. Could blame the atrocious weather and localised flooding, but it didn't help that we had no idea what we were doing. Will persevere.

23-Feb-14
Found it this time on my third visit. Ended up helping Shannonp1 out also as he was searching where I had the first 2 times. Co-ords seem a little off. Not where I thought it would be. Pleaded to have finally got it.B-)

23-Feb-14
Found with the help of a fellow cacher on his third visit. Coords a bit off but he found it. TFTC.

03-Feb-14
It was where we thought it might be. Thanks for replacing the cache.

02-Feb-14
This one had eluded purdiepurdie on an earlier reccy. The three of us teamed up with her to help in the search. After very little searching purdiepurdie had made the find. Nice cache.

02-Feb-14
TFTC. Thanks for replacing the cache. Out with RogoWiz, Yorkshire P and RogoBaby for just one more cache. Readily spotted and as is said - no need to leave the path or plantings.
Thanks -Zalin- for the cache placement.

01-Feb-14
Found today on our weekend mission to get to 100! Lucky we can use chopsticks....
Wltc!

28-Jan-14
Hi Zalin, we have found this cache recently, we walk here often. So walking by today, we checked on it and it is definitely gone. Suggest a replacement cache. Cheers

28-Jan-14
Cache replaced. No longer bright red! A bit more secure and camouflaged now. Smile

23-Jan-14
First search. :+( Half an hour.

18-Jan-14
2nd time around, quickly found. Thanks Zalin.

18-Jan-14
A nice afternoon for cruising around the neighbourhood. Had a breif look a while back. Today was to day to make the find. Thanks for the hide.

16-Jan-14
Coords were about 6m out which possibly explains the hammering the flax has taken. Having seen previous logs I knew that wasn't necessary so widened my search. Soon spotted the cache and was off to get an appropriate tool. It was wedged pretty tightly but with perseverance I got it! Signed the log and popped it back in place. TFTC

10-Jan-14
Very tricky but we had a useful tool!

09-Jan-14
Yes, yes, yes finally found it Smile After last night's log we went armed with renewed hope (third or fourth attempt, we lost count) and a range of "tools". Almost yoddled when we spotted it, or parts of it. Happy to report that there is NO need to leave the path to extract the cache, so no bundu bashing required. Thanks for the awesome hide and for really challenging us with this one Smile

08-Jan-14
Encouraged by finding a couple of the CO's other caches nearby (did you get a job lot of small red bison tubes?) I thought I would try this one again and cycling to it, I tried to dismiss all the other possibilities that had been tried on my last visit. Thought about it and started to form a completely different theory and on arrival tried the theory - nope. GZ was consistent in the T rating BUT I remembered my thoughts on cycling and tried elsewhere and lo and behold there it was. Right - the tool now makes sense. I don't have such a tool. Maybe if I .....and.....ooops - got it. HOOORAY. Signed log and ..........now it has to go back.....what possible excuse could you have for being caught...................doing it. Nice hide and thankfully now off the radar. Fair enough to say that the coords may be stretching the + or - 5m but all else is accurate. Good job.

05-Jan-14
Pretty much jumped in the flax bush, no find Sad

05-Jan-14
Too tricky for us.

21-Dec-13
Very tricky and l was almost ready to give up when l noticed the smallest hint of red. Aah there you are you tricky little thing you. Found a tool to help me. Signed the new log and back it went. I had already looked at that very spot. TFTH
