Leaving another log unsigned today, couldn’t spot anything remotely resembling a cache
No luck here tonight after a very lengthy search from many angles form the ground and up in the tree. Unless it is in another tree???

Spotted from the ground. It's been so long since my last GC that I thought my geosenses were off. Alas, working quite well still! Gremlinkid #1 chambered up and retrieved it. Kids are useful for something it seems! TFTC.
Drove past on the way home from a 20 year Community Celebration Event at Iron Cove. Took a little while to find the blighter only because it was found at a T1.5 not T3.5. I SL and placed it in exactly the same vertical plane and in the same manner as before only now it is something more than 1.5 and more consistent with where previous finders are located in the photos.

Found it no problem. But experienced some difficulty returning it as the original location proved fragile. Have placed it in the most similar location I could find and will message CO.

After meeting up with a friend in Gladesville, Eagle Eyed Monkey Girl and I stopped at this nearby cache. She immediately demonstrated why she earned that name, because in the blink of an eye she was up in the tree and in the blink of the other eye she spotted the cache.
I think the area around the cache can be the location for your next CITO event, JordsAU!

Over the the past few years, the Bromance (comprising CrookedPete, Seffnjarah, SwellerFungus and most recently JezNDez) have enjoyed road trips, bushwalking, overnight hikes, mountain climbing, kayaking and other adventures in search of some elusive caches. The first planned adventure for the brand new decade was a multi day hike in Kosciusko National Park bagging Australia's highest dozen peaks and all nearby caches.
Enroute to our adventure, Australia's bush fire crisis unfolded, and with the Kosciusko region on fire and closed, our plans gradually morphed to a caching road trip back to Queensland, collecting unusual and rarer caches along the way.
At the end of our second day, we opted for some good Thai Food nearby before finding a cheap hotel not far away. There is always time for "Just one more cache" and coming from a timber family and currently working for a 100 year old timber business, I felt the need to stop here.
The others were swayed by the DT rating. For once Swellerfungus proved his worth and made the find.
Some logs were signed with individual names or initials if log space was an issue, others with "Bromance". Our groups brand new "Bromance" stamp also got used on some cache logs.
Thanks JordsAu

We always love a good tree climb. This one wasn't as bad as it could have been, but still a good one.
This trip was planned some time ago but we kept running into issues. So when a business trip to Asia came up I decided that an unconventional route and an extended stop-over were in order as opposed to waiting for the stars to align on a pleasure trip.
Our 2020 goals are to find all the year 2000 caches and complete 6 original FIZZY loops (loops with caches placed before April 6, 2007). No one in the world has done the latter. Only one person is at 4 loops, LISDOWNEY from Ontario, Canada. So, of course, Lane Cove and Geocache - Relocated topped the list this trip and one other south of Canberra that we found, that wasn't easy.
I had been to Australia once before for a honeymoon years ago but promptly headed off to the Hayman Islands to scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef, so I didn't get to take in many of the touristy things Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, and Wollongong has to offer. This trip we fixed that anemia. The aforementioned cities played as our hub cities each night and the launching pad for the next day. Sydney was the only city that there were two overnight stays. Sadly the first day after landing we had found all the target caches that we had for Sydney, so I fixed that staying longer in Wollongong and did some epic hikes.
I would also be remiss if I didn't mention that while in Sydney a sad record-breaking day occurred. When driving out of the city toward the outback a radio announcement said that that day was the worst day in Sydney's history for the smoke covering the area from all the wildfires. It was bad, I could really feel it in my lungs. But, just an hour west and it was a beautiful nice day.
Things learned about Australia while on this trip (I know COs in Australia don't care about this stuff but we have students that like to read our logs here in the States and some creepers that obsess about us - no joke we had an event while there and showed a group of Sydney cachers our trolls) :
- Birds are so different here, all kinds and Cockatoos were like our Krackle birds as noisy as heck and everywhere.
- Kangaroos are like our dear. Cool to watch, see and eat. Yes, eat. It was on the menu one night.
- The Average Aussie drinks 96 liters of beer per year
- Highway 1 is the longest national highway in the world
- There are more kangaroos than people
- The Drop Bear was created to scare tourists
- And they love Vegemite
- Melbourne has the largest Greek population outside of Greece
- There’s a mountain named “Mt. Disappointment”
- Australia’s dingo fence is longer than the Great Wall of China
- Some of the world’s deadliest animals live here
- Australia was inhabited for at least 50 000 years before the British came
- Australia has over 10 000 beaches
- It’s the 6th largest country in the world
- The Australian Alps receive more snow than Switzerland
- Home to the largest living structure on Earth – The Great Barrier Reef
- The Kangaroo is the national animal of Australia
- Home to a larger population of camels than Egypt
- Wombat poo is square/cube-shaped so they don’t roll away. This makes it easier for them to mark their territory.
- The name ‘Australia’ comes from the Latin word ‘australis’, meaning southern

With RoddyC and decided to do this tree climb. My turn.

hatzofff and I are in Sydney today, so we stopped by to check out your cache .
I chose this one for the tree climb attribute, but hatzofff beat me to it. Replaced the log sheet, so all good to go now.
Log signed and cache replaced as found at 3:00 pm on 20 March 2019. TFTC, JordsAU.

Decided to come pick up this cache for it's terrain rating, and the fact that tree climbs are always fun
Got to GZ and spotted the cache but only needed one step to reach it! Well that was easier than I thought!
The logbook is also in very bad condition, looks like it has been wet, but regardless it is also 100% full. BoogieRogues cache summary must of been a mistake which prompted the CO to clear the attribute!
Thanks JordsAU! Had fun with this one still and wrote my name sideways

A quick 2 hour drive to Sydney to work on my CITO numbers. Once the event was over I had some time left to grab a few local caches in Ryde and surrounds. Especially the once at the Parramatta river were great.

Today we headed over to Ryde and Putney to grab a few of the new cache placements that have appeared over that way in recent times,, and to visit the GZ of a solved puzzle/mystery cache, and also revisit a previous DNF. This was the 11th of 12 finds, and 2 DNF's, for today.
Well this one wasn't as bad as we were expecting, with the cache found fairly quickly without suffering too much altitude sickness. Signed the log and then replaced as found. And the shady GZ was most welcome on this very hot day.
TFTC JordsAU, and congratulations on your FTF at "The Quiet Stroll". We were driving past that one when it dropped, but had no idea as we didn't have a Smartphone with us

this was the last of a successful morning's cacheing with the GeoBro and it was almost almost almost almost the first DNF but my intrepid Bro found it at that last minute. This one might be a good cache for some CITO as the immediate area is a bit grubby. TFTC JordsAU
Took a little while till it was sighted and signed. Unlucky for me as it was about to drive me to drink.

Today the sun is actually shining in Sydney, and rain is actually not falling. So we thought we'd head over to Gladesville and meet up with family and go for a walk. Bad idea. Our daughter's apartment block is under police siege - no information was available, except that nobody gets in or out... We spoke to her. The twins are fine, and they're all keeping their heads down... GEESCH. What to do then while we waited to see if things resolved????... Go geocaching of course (and try not to worry) .....................
I missed this cache on our last sweep of the area, but then I hadn't properly read up on it.
This time I did, and it was cih reasonably quickly.
Thank you JordsAU!
PS That was a few hours ago. The siege continues. Roads are locked down. It could take days apparently. Should be something on the media soon... and maybe that will give us some info???

Just moved to the area in the last month, this is my second find for the area. Not too hard to spot. I thought it was going to be more difficult than what it was.
TFTC!
Much easier on my second attempt - in daylight and no workwear.
After 2 DNFs and a flat battery, it was great to remember this one as I returned home - I was able to make the find on memory and a hunch and keep on track for 366.
Thanks again

Fun little midnight cache for us. The dark proved no problem, although we might've woken up the wriggly bugs. Ah well!
Located at 7:02pm. Ummed only a little at a night tree climb but couldn’t pass this up as I was “coincidentally” driving past to another high terrain cache nearby. Walked around once to scope the area out and made my assault whereupon I had CIH soon after. The tougher part was a muggle parking just opposite in the driveway facing towards me. Don’t think he saw too much though Cheers JordsAU. Спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!
Micros on trees always leave us apprehensive. This one was no different, but in the end it was a quick find.

Sneaky little sucker. It took two attempts with lots of searching to find this little cache.
The owner still hasn't replaced the log so I managed to custom make a supplementary log sheet that just fitted in.

Found with RangerD. I remember driving past the timber yard as a kid, and the fantastic furniture store across the road (which is now a liquor store), especially as my geosister had her first office down the road.

Swung by this one during a bike ride through the area. After a very busy Christmas and New Years time, I can finally get out and start treasure hunting again! Upon first glance, my eyes narrowed in on it instantly, and I swooped up to get it. I've known about this cache for a few months now, and always eyed the spot as I went by on a bus down Victoria Road. I'm glad I finally got the chance to tick it off my list. What a shame the weather was gloomy and overcast, for I'm sure it would have been a pretty view on a nice day...

Not entirely sure how this one survives in the precarious positron I found it in but survive it does with nearly a full log in testimony to its tenacity! Warm day out expanding my finds field. Cheers Jords!
Yay found it. Didn't realise it was so small. Kind of ruined by all the rubbish. Pls the tree was full of spiders eggs and I'd already seen the mother spider.

Early morning on AFL Grand Final day...go Swannies! I had a pretty good idea of where it would be from the clues so I headed in the right direction and started looking. There are plenty of potential places where a cache could be hidden, but after searching for a while I finally spotted it right in front of my face.
A grey Sunday morning with rain starting to drizzle. Parked the car just at GZ, thereby shielding my activities from any by-passers. Knowing approximately where to go, I soon spotted the cache and was able to retrieve it and sign the log before replacing and getting down to earth.
A shame with all the rubbish lying around, it definitely decreases the cache experience.

A lovely afternoon for caching while my partner was at home rehearsing with her group. Easily found the general area and got the general idea. Wavering phone GPS didn't help, but a photo from an earlier log did. A fun over to collect. TFTC
Had a good idea of what I was looking for. Once at GZ and after getting into the thick of things I had CIH before long. This is the site of an old lumber mill from years ago which has been a vacant block for many years now. TFTC.
First Sydney cache! Was a touch busier on the road than expected & I needed the spoiler photo from TagnPaula but I got there! thanks!
TFTC Thank you for going to the effort of hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
We were on our way to Parramatta and this cache being close to Victoria Road required a quick look. After some monkey business had the cache in hand, thanks.
By chance I had to come this way for a pick up delivery so I took the opportunity to grab this cache, quick climb in my heels and all went well. TFTC
Had great fun with this one, last time I was up a tree was about 30 years ago . Great hide and you need an eagle eye to spot it. TFTC
Being from a country area, driving here can be pretty daunting so I don't mind doing the kilometres on foot when there's a cache to find. This one was so good because it was there waiting and there was no one nearby at all. Then I found that the only pen I had was without its casing and it was really hard to make my mark. Consequently I just signed with 'o.k. Thanks for the cache.
I had parked a couple of blocks away and walked over to make a quick find, only then to raise that i had left my pen in the car!
Went back to the geomobile for the pen and had lunch, and made the return journey to sign the log.
Thanks for the cache.

Had half an hour in the area to spare so decided to walk to this cache. GPS was playing up a bit but luckily satellite photos of the area are extremely accurate. Identified where I needed to be looking and the cache was found rather quickly (not my favourite type of hide but luckily wasn't there for too long). Seems as though my wallet pen fell out sometime in the last week so I was unable to sign the cache however I took a picture of the log and can describe the cache's hiding location to CO upon request.
Thanks JordsAU for the cache, good to see areas with low density slowly getting filled up.

Pitch black when I arrived and parked under the tree canopy metres from GZ. Out came the torch and within 30secs, had container in sight. Plenty of cuttings, seemed to block my access, so walked around the other side and that's no good either.
Looked up and the thought of being able to get into this tree and only to view the container teased me.
Okay, Don't hold back, in I went, oh, that wasn't too hard.
Reached up from the branch I stood on and finally CIH, signed and returned, thanks JordsAU

Streak day #164 - I have had my eye on this cache due to it's difficulty/terrain rating. Today I was out at Silverwater doing my ice hockey linesman/referee course, so I thought it would be a good chance to grab this one on the way home. When I pulled up there was no one around. I guess they were elsewhere enjoying the beautiful day. There seemed to be several possible places to look, but the GPS pointed me to the correct one first go. I found the cache very quickly. Signed the log but couldnt put it back exactly where I had found it because the support for the cache had broken off, but there was another support to put it just a couple of feet away within the same tree. Driving past at night with a newish cacher, I asked her if she wanted to try climbing a tree. Soon we were both up and peering about, but neither of us was able to spot it - I thought I would have remembered exactly where it was! So now I'm 1 from 3 on this cache
