Over visiting from NZ for a month and today is our last full day. I needed a few more finds to crack 500 for the trip and set a new monthly record. This group of caches in the Burbank area looked like they would be ideal for an early morning wander, before the day reached the predicted 34 degrees .. Next for the day was this one with good FP's and you are going to run me out, as this one gets a FP from me too. TFTC
I am needing a J animal for a challenge cache and theres one in this area. Ive also been wanting to find this Big Bang Theory series of caches, so with hubby, we parked in a small area off Mt Cotton Rd and did a circuit walk over a couple of hours. Later we discovered a safer parking area on Cherbon St. We had 12 finds, all fairly easy, and one DNF. We enjoyed our walk in this lovely area. After looking in a couple of spots, I saw something that Ive previously seen and there was the cache. Coordinates were spot on. Ants are making a home in it but the inner container and logbook are fine at this stage. Fp and tftc
Came out to get the Jack Rabbit cache and got this on the way. A nice walk with some really fun caches. TFTC
I headed out in the geo-car for a few caches today.Decided to hit a few around Capalaba.I found your cache, Leonard today. This is my 2341 find.Walked around in circles for a bit but then had that a ha moment.TMRabbit, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
It is a glorious day to be put and about. It has taken me years to return to do the rest of this series. All is good here
10/5/2023 Find #6090
SaintsMadHouse and I had escaped for another day of Wednesday Madness. We had decided on this area of Bushland to start our day with and would then branch out with other stuff later.
We were certainly starting to feel the day warming up now, as we headed around and made our find here - the object in question blended in well in its environment.
Thanks for the cache TMRabbit.

Scared off some wallabies and found a cache. Really nice vegetation up here! Thanks heaps
After finding a few caches in this area this morning, I decided to come back in the afternoon for some more. This was a quick find after the controlled burn. Amazing that it was unscathed. TFTC
Wow all is well in this burn-out GZ. Nearby logs still smouldering but the outer has protected this one. We’ll done! A favourite for making it back burning safe!
I had intended to ride through this bush land to collect all the Rats and any other stray in the general area but on arrival I noticed the NO BIKES signs at the entry. I don't know why as these fire trails would have been perfect to the ride. However there were council rangers at the car park so the bike stayed in the car today. That said I had an enjoyable 8 km round trip for the morning.

There is a dome trying to look like a grass tree. Lot w of white bodied ants around the cache. So does that make them white ants?
Log stamped and all parts replaced as found.

Leonard it is! Little bit off track but it’s very very pretty! Almost Tasmania like
Found with Tim. Love the camo, the mottling especially is Log pretty wet but we managed to sign. TFTC.
Today after attending the Van Gogh Alive exhibition, I decided to head out solo for some bushland walks around Capalaba. My first stop was J.C. Trotter Memorial Park and detouring past the various *Big Bang Theory* geocaches, and then I took a few more miscellaneous walks grabbing some of the oldie geocaches in the vicinity. After exhausting my water supply, I decided to finish off my afternoon with driveby geocaches and short walks, in particular, finding a few more of the *Saturday in the Park* (SITP) series.
In the end, walking around J.C. Trotter Memorial Park past the 17 geocaches on offer took about 2.5 hr with a mix of jogging and walking. There were a few other muggles about either jogging or walking their dogs, but I was largely solo during my trip. I am a fan of the *Big Bang Theory* TV show, so although the geocaches weren't physically themed, it was still a nice dedication series.
This cache involved a fair trek through the bush in order to get here, and there were two goannas who must have been just as surprised as I was when I saw them, so they darted off in all sorts of directions. My coordinates were taking me one way, but I had decided to search a few trees and beacons, and thus I wasn't having any luck. When i did follow my GPS, I soon found a nice and familiar outer camouflage, with the inner cache shortly found after that. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks TMRabbit for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Leonard’s log is a bit damp but all is well, have left some Christmas decor for anyone looking for some tftc
Found the cache after a bit of hesitation as to where to start our cross country deviation. Were hoping to find a bit of a path. Very impressive ant nest just near the cache. Thanks for placing this cache.
Nice quick find and an easy one at that. It was a great looking camouflage too. So enjoying my walk through here this morning. TFTC
It was nice of someone to leave a bra hanging to mark the geotrail we needed to take towards GZ. The cache jumped out at us here. We knew we’d found it as soon as we spotted the camouflage. TFTC TMRabbit
Luckily we have seen this type of hide across the road in the Brisbane Koala Bushland!
Left an 'on theme' Spiderman toy for ‘Leonard’ to enjoy until the next Geocacher arrives!

Out and about for the day clearing out this reserve. Had my eye on it for a few years but with a bit of motivation and a day with nothing better to do saw a bunch of trads turn into smileys . TFTC
Tiring by this time so had not energy to look for long. Will be back to do this one.
Yes! A blue face turned into a yellow one! I honestly don’t know how I missed this last time I was here. I must’ve been really tired. Anyway the find has been made. All is good with the cache. No ants are inside the container.
Rather frustrating to find this one.
Not too far from the giant log that fell.
Big ants nest nearby.
Lots of flowers out...

Today I decided to take my bike here and find a few caches. I ended up finding 10 and rode 5km, walked a fair bit aswell in just 2 hours. This was my 4th find and at gz I saw something very suspicious and yes there was the cache. I happily returned to my bike to peddle on to the next cache . Another fun find . Thankyou
Out for our sunday Caching session with BFG this one proved slightly more tricky than first thought.
But in the end BFG bet me there.

Bloody clever! Nearly had me bamboozled! Talk qbout hidden in plain site! Good geo nous needed to find this one. Great "hide"!
My caching eyes are failing me and my needs a drink, so we will return to find Dr H another day.
Day 4 of Mr RoddyC's treatment. Need some exercise so was dropped off on his way.
Very still fresh morning today. Can hear the birds.
Nice find wandering around following GPS.

Sorry generic part of the post.
What an awesome day or should that be exhausting! Out with geonayfee to try and complete 50 plus caches in a day. With this cache we completed it.
We completed 2 series and a few target caches, a few earth caches and a couple of puzzles…. Awesome day and a lot of driving and walking but the challenge was completed, thank you for being part of our challenge, next is 80 in a day
this series is interesting and fun

Chamad was telling me the other day that he was wanting to try and do 50 caches in a day for the badge, so yesterday I asked if he was keen to go out and find them. We organised a time and place to start our run which was by Burbank. We wandered around a few reserves and then decided to head towards Springwood for a few Earth caches, mystery’s and trads.
All in all we had a great day out and we’re both completely exhausted.
Sorry for the generic post.

TFTC smile 5648 out and about with miss Millie geo dog on our way Southside to pick up a few oldies, caches that is, had a big day, picking up all the big bang series as well. Thank you for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
Out today with my Geocaching’s buddy Grannysmith1947. Our target again was one old cache and a animal cache for that animal alphabet challenge. Have two more to get. After that one it now leaves me one to get. Yippee .
But there is 17 caches in this park, I have to clear this park out. Found 16 one DNF, so not to bad I think.
Then Grannysmith1947 notice another old cache in the park next door. So we had to visit that old one to.
So two old caches today. And 4 yesterday
Plus two 2006 ones too
Sorry for the generic post
Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive. TFTC TMRabbit *354* streak. *2134* Finds

As I approached the junction in the path I noticed a council vehicle parked in the path. I was a bit nervous about picking my way so far through the growth for this one and I did have a chat to the fellow afterwards who did mention that they definitely prefer us to make hides closer to the path as the collective impact of a lot of people crashing through the undergrowth adds up.
And crash through undergrowth I did on this one. I felt like I was going around in circles in an area where the main features were grass trees and fallen wood. I definitely regretted my decision to wear shorts. I had a quick look at other logs and realised it was the same cache housing as an earlier one but next to the real deal.
I am recovering from hand surgery and can only write (poorly) on stable surfaces, so please accept this unicorn stamp in lieu of signing the log.

Early morning bike ride to collect the caches here.
A wrong turn and I had to go back for this one.
A lot of effort has gone into making this cache, well done!
Thank you for this cache TMRabbit

Found with stairman1 and geopuppy. We decided to come out this way to finish off the area. I became hooked on BBT and watched all episodes. Leonard was my favourite character. Not sure what he would have thought of geocaching. TFTC
Gotcha! Lovey walk out in JC Trotted memorial park today. Tftc interrupted a roo on the way to this one. Another great hide
A nice easy find, the hardest part was stopping the geohound from eating all the kangaroo poo! TFTC!
Midday after arranging to meet ESCR to complete Makku Mob - Tingalpa we stopped for an ice cream which turned into 3pm lunch because Oddiewan looked at his stats and saw he only needed 20 to reach geocache find number 200. He found Trotter park on the map full of 18 hides— all with recent finds and logs with the likes of “quick find”. A plan was then hatched— neither of us had enough battery power to last the whole hunt so we made the plan to economise our devices turning off all redundancies. We parked at the trailhead and headed off, with the idea that we spend only 5 min at each hide and employed a bit of a get-ahead approach where I remained to sign the log, once found, while he ehaded off to search for the next. In most cases I caught up before he had laid hands on the next one. It was efficient and we found all 18, only one in poor condition (but dry). A brilliant day ending in us finding the final three back near home. Thanks for all the caches. This was a great park to send a Sunday afternoon. Cheers, semik
I was in need of 11 gems for the mystery at the museum challenge and the filters suggested this would be a good place to tackle today. I am a fan of The Big Bang Theory show, and enjoyed finding these caches. Another cool cache hide. TFTC
We were turning around in circles here and coming up with nothing so we switched positions and then something is spotted exactly where Mr 4ando had been, ‘Oiy, how did you miss this?’ A slight movement and a strange noise and Mr 4ando was given the deed of checking, just in case something nasty was in there. Of course no nasties, only the plastic we love.

With a new cadre of souvenirs available during the Cache Carnival promo, today we planned to target caches which have a handful of faves (and simultaneously get some good exercise!) by riding around and tidying up the caches we've yet to find in the big bang, rabbit and rat series.
Kind of hard to miss this one, though it does look like it belongs here!

Got up early for our venture around this bushland reserve. There were a few smiley faces from a long time ago and it was good to see a new bunch of caches. We especially liked the novelty hides. Thankyou TMRabbit for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area
Mrs George takes credit for finding this one. Well camouflaged, but obvious once you got it. Added our name to the log then battled our way across country to the multi-use trail. TFTC, TMRabbit. We shall have to come back for the rest of the series, as lunch calls.
Out here on a rainy afternoon attempting the caches in the Big Bang theory...found this one quickly at GZ as the cammo looked familiar....TFTC!
