We located the memorial but soon realized that the cache was disabled. Too bad looked like a fun cache.
We were pretty disappointed to find there was no cache but happy to have a reason to stop and read the memorial. C'mon cache owner, let's get this baby back up and running!!
I certainly pays to update the GPS before you leave. No wonder I couldn't find it. Durp.
As this cache has been out of action for too long and the cache owner has not responded or performed any maintenance, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to un-archive it.

I was in the area and decided to collect a few caches. Unfortunately this one completely eluded me even after spending a good 10 minutes searching in all of the likely spots. I'll keep an eye on this one and return if someone finds it.
Wasn't hopeful after no luck and seeing the last few DNF logs and unfortunately it's a DNF for us too
#984; @1520. While walking on the promenade towards the North Heads Historical Reserve we have found also this small cache. Actually I missed but my other half has spotted something suspicious and it was it. TFTC. Greetings from Slovakia. PeLe.

While sorting caches to be counted for Geolicense series, I realised I'd missed a whole days worth of logging.

Out for a morning of caching in Devonport with Helefant. Clever hide hide here. Interesting spot. SL. TFTC.
Only 50% of AS2Gether is travelling in New Zealand at the moment. Therefore I start to add some pictures to my logs because I know the other 50% will read the logs home in Germany .
Devonport is beautiful. Although it was raining. Nice hide which I could find quickly having the right idea. I like that the Devonport people gave such a little bird such a huge monument. Thank you for the information about the memorial and for the cache.

A BEAUTIFUL day in Devonport! Here for a training at the Naval base and decided to get some caching in! TFTC!
Tie nE indeed. Came across the bridge for the Sculpture Trail. Think this was our third and they keep getting better. Had a delightful lunch and strolled across to closest cache. Such a bright and sunny day didn't see this on first look. Very windy, too. NINO TFTC
plenty of muggles out and about. was great to pick up this wee smilie here with Chosen1978 thanks.

Had a fair idea of where the cache would have to be ad there was only so many spots it could be. Didn't fully understand the second part of the hint but managed to make the find anyway.
Thanks for bringing us here and for the history of the spot.

We are enjoying our lovely seaside walk. One looked one side, and one the other. TFTC [5212]
I don't know if I was safe being under the tail feathers of a bird. I didn't linger for too long.
Cheers for the cache.

27/09/14 12:05 Walking with The Princess. Awesome place. Correct pronunciation too . Cheers, GC.
With the shadows getting longer and the temp descending along with a little moisture from the sky, we pulled up across the road and strolled toward GZ. Great cords and hint made for a quick find that required the Geo-tweezers to extract from its hide.
Took it back to the car for log extraction, signing and insertion then ran it back across the road to hide as found.

Out for the morning in the Devonport area with the parents so decided to pick up a few caches after brunch.
Found this relatively quickly, signed the log and then replaced before heading off to the next one.

Quick find at an amazing spot. I had never stopped to read this before. Thanks for slowing me down.
Good place for a cache. It's hard to imagine canoeing across all that water. Granted, they were big canoes, but still it must have been an adventure. Cheers for the cache.
Heading out to lunch when I saw this new cache had appeared, so wandered over to see if I could get a FTF. And I did ! TFTC.
