Visited the island today to help the kids school with their surfing excursion and managed to collect a few cache before leaving for Home. Guessing I only have about 100 cache on the island to find now! Thanks for the fun. TFTC
On a 6 day tour of Victoria with Barnzy12. Taking the red eye over from Perth we managed to visit some great places. The main reason for the travel was the Mega event in Alexandra and the opportunity to find 12 cache types in a day.
We originally travelled to Phillip bay, then up through the country side to Alexandra. Spent a few nights staying high in the snowfields and then moved over to Mt Disappointment. We then ended up back where we started returning the hire car at the airport to fly home.
Some quality caches were found all over the state, great to get a real range of cache sizes with some very large caches compared to what’s available in WA and the range of D/T options so close to each other was a bonus.
Thanks to all the Cache owners for you placements and creativity put into hiding and have awarded a few fav points based on this or the location it bought us too.

In Melbourne with Cravo10 to attend the Mega in Alexandra.
We took the red eye from Perth, leaving at 1am Thursday morning, and departed Melbourne early Tuesday morning, so it was a short five day trip.
We managed to snag a couple of nice stats for the trip. First mega event, 12 cache types in a day, 10 lab caches, 50th large cache find, and most importantly my 10,000th find at Mount Disappointment.
We spent the first day on a caching run from
Melbourne to Phillip Island where we had booked into the local caravan park for the evening. We cached all day chasing down a number of the whereigo and puzzle caches from the CF series, before ending the day caching the extremities of Phillip Island, where we had both never been, an amazing part of this country.
Next morning we cached our way to Alexandra which was the main reason for our trip to Melbourne as we had both never managed to attend a mega, which were hoping to rectify in WA next year! Attended the pre event and managed to get a couple of group FTFs by torchlight which was a real highlight.
Saturday we cached in and around Alexandra all day, chasing numbers, the highlight of the day would have to be the birdbox hides around Alexandra and the multi in Bonnie Doon from that famous TV show, a real nice touch!
Sunday was an epic caching day, chasing down 12 types in a day, which required a couple of huge drives to claim some of the rarer icons around. A huge caching stat which is a very rare feat in the Southern Hemisphere. We finished the day travelling to Mount disappointment where we found Melbourne's 1st cache and then started making a dent in the powertrail, finishing by torchlight.
Our last full days caching was spent at Mount Disappointment to chase some big numbers and with a few caches around the burbs for good measure.
Special thanks to all the wonderful COs around Melbourne for their brilliant caches, and to the mega committee for organising a ripper event, hope to be back next year!

We were on our way past so stopped in for a quick look. The GPS led us close enough to gz to spot the SPOR. My helper started looking but hadn't seen enough of these. As he moved the cache out of the way, I recognised it.
Thanks xxhayleyxx for the cache.

The 2nd find by the women part of deshut and belmac47. The young one got stuck in, scrabbling around and spotted an old friend. Thanks.

This cache appears to be in need of owner attention.
1. The log is sodden, indicating that the container is no longer weatherproof and needs to be replaced please.
2. The wording on the cache page needs to be altered to better reflect what seekers are looking for - no longer a Sistema.
3. The cache is listed as 'Small' however the container we found has a capacity less than 100ml and is a Micro - see Help Centre - [Cache container sizes](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=97&pgid=815)

The Bureau promised some atrocious weather, later in the day, so we made an early start to search for a few more caches in the Treasure Island series.
We found this one, just as the rain started, on our way back to camp. It was certainly not the Small/Sistema we expected! Really not sure why anyone would leave a swap in type of container we found, preventing it from closing firmly. Had to pause and admire the great mural.
Satellites today had our GZ 8 metres NW of where we found the cache.
Thanks xxhayleyxx for the cache.

Made a quick find early this morning on my way into town to grab some breakfast. The coast was clear and l had no trouble finding the cache, log is pretty full, thanks xxhayleyxx for the hide and for highlighting the important role the local volunteers provide.
Being our first geocache we took a little while to find it. Very happy when we did find it. Thanks so much for our first success.
Found it... easy find but not a sistema box and nothing to swap.... good fun anyway!
Today I got up at 4:30 in the morning in order to grab a 13 caches in order to make the even running today to be my 800th find. So with coffee in hand I drove around picking up a couple of Geocahing.com and Geocaching Australia caches. Anyways This was one of the many caches I found today on my adventure from home to Phillip Island....... Thanks for the cache and the adventure.

Loved your boldness where you placed it . It was so obvious we did not see it . Thanks
Nice and quiet here today, not a person or vehicle in sight, found signed and replaced. TFTC
Stopping at a friend's place nearby. Just couldn't leave this one. Cache was in 2 parts but found both and reassembled it. Signed and replaced zip lock bag. TFTC
Nice quick drive by - all quiet at the station which made the whole process easier. TFTC.
Our 4th GeoFind, & Geo Kid #1's first solo find! Great hide; TFTC. Off to seek Geo Kid #2's first solo find
Very cunning place! Thanks the smart person of which hid this. Our family had tons of fun exploring the two buildings to find this geocachae! You rock!
Nearly forgot to log this one! Couldn't leave Phillip Island without getting at least one geocache. Tftc from Qld
We enjoyed a beautiful day here on the island and visited a few caches. Nice hide and thanks for placing it. Sorry for the similary log. TFTC and greetings from Austria.
After a quick job in Cowes, I checked the GC map and discovered one only a few hundred metres from me. At a fire station, no less! I couldn't resist this one - a nice quick find. TFTC xxhayleyxx
Yay!!! Our first Australian (Strine?) cache. Thank you... all the way from Switzerland .
An after work caching visit, saw us on the Island with the view of getting some caches we had to pass up on our visit last week. We found this cache as a nice quiet drive by and noticed how quiet it is here on the Island during the week.
Thanks xxhayleyxx for this placement.

Found with my family - becca85, boo09 & chan02 as well as GemmaSistma & boys on a roadtrip for the school holidays. Sorry for the very tardy logging. TFTC
School holiday time once again which means Team Clarmensma is formed (myself+GemmaSistema+neisha07+boo09+Adam+Luke) and one lucky destination gets to host us.
This time it was Phillip Island and decided to make a 3 day road-trip of it.
The weather treated us fairly well and we enjoyed the many beautiful views and landscapes that we were taken to before caching our way home on day 3. TFTC!

Found during our super fun roadtrip to Phillip Island with my Team Clarmensma family - becca85, GemmaSistema, neisha07, Adam & Lukey. We found lots of caches and saw lots of different animals- including a penguin in the wild! TFTC!
Was empty, and then there were muggles everywhere! Still, we found the cache, though it's no longer a sistema...
Quick find when we stopped looking for a sistema. When we first arrived there was no one here but 5 mins later the CFA was there. TFTC
In Philip Island for a few days of caching with becca85 and our geokids - Adam, Luke, neisha07 and boo09. Today was our final morning and we wanted just a few more caches this morning before heading home. Bec had this one before I hoped out the car! Lol. Cheers
Looks like everything is spick and span and ready for action here! SL at 4.20pm as we wandered around the island caching this afternoon. #4026 TFTC xxhayleyxx
