At GZ I stood and wondered on where to start looking. I turned around and the cache was there. Thank you for the placement.
Thought it would be more hidden than it actually is, so went venturing too far in the beginning. Then turned and there she was! All good here. Tftc
( ) I took myself and my e-bike on a train from Ranui to Newmarket, then swapped to a southern train and got off at Otahuhu, then the 352 bus over to Ti Rakau Dr. That's where I'm at starting my caching for the day, although this is my 3rd cache for now. ( ) As others have said, cache is quite exposed with a couple of sticks over it which basically are doing nothing to hide it, but amazingly it's still there and chugging along. No issues here to report. Loving this cycleway, one day I'll ride the whole thing without picking up any caches, thanks Sam-I-Am.
Found it, dropped my phone and almost lost it forever but what is geocashing without a heart attack
Out with himself and geodog for some more light caching. TFTC nice quick find here.
A very quick find as it was completely uncovered, so after signing the log I added some natural camo that was nearby.
**#21020**Last couple to do along this pathway, making short work of it on the bike.Hint sort of helped get the job done quicker too.TNLN TFTC
Nice walk along herecache found in good condition ..signed the log and replaced as found thanks for bringing me to this area thanks for the cache
We are taking our charges (dog and Mr. 10) for a walk. Mr 10 is familiar with this pathway, but we are not. Apparently, his friend lives just over the river. The cache was located and signed before discovering more of this walkway. Thanks for the placement Uncle Sam
Alot of rubbish has been thrown over the bank...nearly gave up & read logs & made the find. TFTC
Found after a wee bit of searching. Spotted a Christmas tree bauble hanging on the tree's bark and thought it might be an indication of the cache...but no...no need to go too far off the track. Found and left a few goodies for others
Very quick find for me. Nice sized cache also and all dry. Thanks and onto the next.
Found a huge pile of garden rubbish the locals have been tipping over the edge, didn't find a cache though. Is it buried now?
Checked all the trees in the vicinity without success. Good variety of plants here - got pricked by cactus then soothed with some aloe vera.
I was searching through the trees and I still could couldn’t find it!: I think it got stolen:/
Found whilst visiting friends in the area who showed us this walkway. Awesome place for an afternoon stroll.TFTC
Lovely stroll on an even more lovely evening. Haven't cached in a while...so nice to get back into it
Nice and easy find. Used the hint and good coords. Nice sized cache. Tftc
Took a little while. Don't let looks or camouflage deceive you. Careful not to get pricked
Onto number 3 this afternoon in the full sun, whilst waiting for the text from the teenager to be collected from the photo studio at college....yes, I know it's a Sunday, but it's nearing the end of year and things need to get done.....
Nice find here, all though the people across the path from here could easily see from their lounge, so stealth was essential.
TFTC.

Needed a cache for dot day today so headed out for ‘lunch’ with B4Dawn to raid this one.
I remember being here before but not being successful. This time was a breeze as the cache was out in the open.
Signed and returned a bit more covered.
Thanks for the cache.

Thank you. Added few bits to swag for others. Nice to find a bigger cache. TFTC. Sl
In the area so decided to get a few more in the area. Hubby was quick on this one. Tftc
Fairly quick find. A few muggles about. Great to have our dog with us so we could pretend she had lost her ball.
Nobody wanted to look apart from Bird so off she went. Got very frustrated with no one helping so in the end Phil did and went pretty much straight to the cache much to Bords annoyance!! SL TNLN TFTC
Took our time finding this one today searched around the base of one tree and then the other.A good size cache.Have taken the trackable to carry on its journey.
Hot Saturday afternoon, came along for some Botany caches. Trying not to look too dodgy, and hoping no-one would come along the walkway, it was lucky I made a quick find. Signed and replaced. The TB coin is still there, left for the next cacher. TFTC
After finding a couple of others along here, Pagenz and I carried on the walkway and this was another great hide. TFTC
No real plans made for today but Auckland was the place to go.
We still have in excess of 2,000 caches in area to find and log so this is going to take some time to complete.
Spur of the moment and teamed up with ABCDF4,Eyespyben & Squirrel Nutcase.
Thought we would hit one area and try to clean it up. Apart from one cache that is disabled, think we got the rest plus a few outer lying caches on way home.
All caches signed as Team HRP (Huntly,Rotorua,Papamoa) This being our home towns.
Thanks to cache owners for their placements. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap), ABCDF4, and eyespyben... All logs were signed Team H (Huntly) R (Rotorua) P (Papamoa).
Our original plan was to complete the Hakarimata Northern Walkway this weekend. However, the weather deteriorated and we chickened out... An alternative was suggested by our Huntly friends - Let's go up to Highbrook (Auckland). It seems that this location is getting a lot of attention at the moment, with a lot of new placements in the area.
It was mid afternoon when we stopped for lunch. The break recharged our batteries and we decided to look at a new suburb to cache attack... Burswood looked good, and it was just over the road from Highbrook... Followed the pathway around to this hide. A quick find without incident. TFTC.

Nice walkway been built here since our last visit. Cache was quickly located in a place we had previously looked. Nice to turn the frown upside down.
Back in the area nearly 2 years later to turn our frown upside down. A very quick easy find this time in a place I'm sure we searched last time. Nice to finally get rid of that blue frown off my map.
I'm from Switzerland and spend 4 months in New Zealand on vacation. Found this cache after a few minutes search, thanks.
Yay! Came here to get the third to find for the new cache ‘butterfly creek’ by the Coblets and then found this and a few others. Thanks Uncle Sam and the Coblets for this fun adventure with Cachewnut today! I really enjoyed that!
Found today:
•Uncle Sam between 2 trees
•Butterfly Creek
•The Orphan of Burswood

Luckily the aforementioned fence was not half removed, so no need to climb it for us. After a short, pleasant stroll, found the cache quickly enough - though had to be a bit careful to avoid some unpleasantness. Thanks!
No problem with the hide but to get there near GZ was different story. Had to jump over the fence on construction site. Found TB but not in the cache just beside .... TFTC
Great weather for a little Geocaching Tour! I could spot a couple of Caches in the area around Burswood.
The clue made me looking at some wrong places first even if it is not wrong. Found it finally!
Thanks for hiding!

Yet another trip to Auckland for me, this time for a nice long break over Queens Birthday weekend. Having had a great day caching on Friday, but a much quieter one yesterday, I was really keen to get out and about today.
I did wonder if the weather gods had it in for me today though, as the heavens absolutely opened up late morning, to the point where you almost needed a submarine to go down Ti Rakau Drive! But suddenly it all cleared up, so I left it half an hour to drain the worst of it away and then I hit the trail.
I had seen a couple of caches I wanted to grab last time I was here, but couldn't gain easy access at the time, and thought I'd take another look today. On closer inspection, I realised that the reason I couldn't find easy access for the 2 caches in question was because the council had closed off the access at either end to build a new concrete pathway. But I soon found a way onto the path and enjoyed the walk to GZ much more than I thought I would as I wasn't walking through a bog!
The cache itself was a relative easy find, after I turned my attention to the 2nd tree to search. Nice hiding spot. The contents are nice and dry, and there was enough room for me to drop a TB into. A quick sign of the log, a photo of the special code for the Mystery cache, then everything was replaced as found and I was on my way back to the car for the next part of my afternoon.
Thanks for placing this cache.
