Bit of a scramble up the tree here. Luckily kimbathelion gave me a helping hand up to grab the cache. Tftc
Had to give buzzybb a leg up for this one. Busy spot so had to return a bit later. Tftc

Mr Geckoh loves nothing more than a good climb in a tree, an easy find for him, but he commented that the tree had seen better days. TFTC

Wowza. Quiet a scramble. Once we saw it we couldn't give up and managed to get to it!
Wow! What a mission
Thanks to the help of my partner and a step ladder we were able to sign the log & return cache to its hiding spot
Tftf!

Another awesome random find to finish the day found with sidekick TR lucky I had her and she could Climb
Have been to the site and placed a new cache container and log in exactly the same location as the original, so it should be all good to go.
Hi davesnz
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards
TheCoddiwompler

A nice quick find today, just the right size for the hide.
Christmas holiday road trip to Auckland. Day six, in and around Gisborne.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Definitely team work required here. As I was the lighter I got the leg up. Thanks for the fun davesnz
Ducks disease easy 2 person job ..all quiet here..nice park..thanks davesnz nice tidy cache
One of 12 located in the Gisborne area on the last day of our Labour Weekend stayover. Found a few caches along or near the cycle trail before heading out to the airport mid-afternoon for our flight home. Spotted this one “way up high” as I approached it. I’m not sure how anyone less than average height would manage to reach it! Anyway I was able to, so that was all that mattered on this occasion! #2818. TFTC.
Having just finished the cycleway caches we got this one on the way back into town. Hardly any muggles around this Saturday afternoon.
For my personal challenge of working towards getting my calendar on GC.COM to be at least the same shade of green or darker I need to sign off at least 12 caches today. I won't grumble if I find one or two more. Today I decided to go a drive out from Kaiti to Okitu.
I got this one on the way to the cachemobile as on the way out I spied a muggle across the street having a gander at me.
Cheers for the cache.

Out exploring the town on our first full day here. Nice easy find for someone tall. Good thing hubby was with me! TFTF Greetings from
We had finished the cycle way caches and stopped off here. Mr TW is of taller stature than the Mrs so he located the cache. It was very stuck so went back to the car for the multi tool and with a bit of jiggery pokey the cache was extracted. Signed and replaced without being wedged in so tightly. TFTC
Easy find in the wee hours of the morning. Someone has shoved the cache in too far and I was unable to remove it from its hole so log book not signed. You might need to have a look sometime and see if you can fix it. TFTC
Quickly located after u stuck my hand in a few wrong holes (eww) went to sign and pen didn’t work so my log is etched into the paper ! The plastic on this hide makes it easy to spot so CO may like to remove it but I left as is. TFTC.
Quick find after reading the hint. Lovely too read about everyone's adventures on here and how they got too finding this cache.
This had been a planned trip in the company of HKCB to Whangarei but as the weather wasn't the best in the north we thought we would bring this trip forward and head over here to see what we could locate as neither of us had done a whole lot around this area.
Leaving home 7pm Friday evening and returning by midnite Saturday, 954kms travelled and approx. 70 caches located along with about 8 DNF's.
Thanks to all the CO's whom have put out these caches for us and completing the maintenance to keep them going.
The start of a new day and after a few hours sleep it was time to see what we could find with the real challenge being the new virtual as that was a primary goal for the trip. With the light up and no rain the day was looking good for a few caches. Great little area and a quick find for this cache
Thank you for the placement, thanks for the cache.

This weekend had been booked into headed to Whangarei with Cats&Dragons for a bit of caching, but as the weather wasn't looking flash at all, so we decided to head East instead to Gisbourne as we both hadn't done much caching in te area. Leave home about 7pm Friday, and returning home midnight Saturday meant we got a fair bit of caching time in for the limited time we had. All up we found just under 70 caches in total, so a big thanks for all the CO's for placing and maintaining the caches we found on this trip.
Nice shiney container so a nice quick find. Thanks for maintaining.

Maintenance visit to site to check geocache. Replaced with new cache container and log in original location as per description.
Today we made a trip from Hicks Bay to Gisborne, again on the route of the Pacific Highway, thereby visiting many new sightseeing locations and looking for caches, too. On this trip we searched, found and logged a lot of caches. The weather was very good all day long, a bit colder in the morning but it got warmer in the afternoon. Funny clouds were our compagnions especially in the afternoon.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had other things to do than observing harmless geocachers.
Thanks to davesnz for showing us this location and for the fun we had at Heath's Corner Gisborne. The search we had here today didn't take too much time.
Let us state: the Cache is available!
Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

Day 5 Gisborne to Te Araroa today. So lets get rolling along!
Just gave Zara a much needed drink and we are ready to roll out of town. Its 6.30 and this is the first cache for today. Quick snag and tag. He got the right one while I was still looking. Cheers
The Seagnoid, Zara and I are on another epic caching adventure for the next two weeks, starting with the Wellington Mega, then East Cape, Taraunga, Waihi, Rotorua and back to Wellington. Its been an awesome journey, over 2500 klms later, visiting many amazing places. Thanks to all COs

Found at 0630 in the mroning, first cache on our way to the East Cape.

Day 5 of my Mega trip: Gisborne to East Cape. Two weeks of travel with Taybeedragon, from Blenheim to the 2018 mega event, then on to my mum's eightieth birthday in Rotorua via the East Cape and Tauranga and the hole in the ground that is Waihi. Dropped the dragon off in Wellington while I continued on to Motueka for more family time before at last arriving home. We may have only found 230 caches over that 3000 km, but I qualified for 4 badge upgrades, hit the 10,000 cache mark, and even have a missing month ticked off! Throughout most of the trip we targeted special caches - earth caches, virtuals, wherigos, etc, although there were a lot of traditionals too. On the cache maintenance side about eight caches were replaced, and many more logs were added to or replaced. Many thanks to everyone who made this an awesome trip

Decided to stay in Gisborne for an extra night as I was not in too much of a rush, having taken Friday off work I decided to come up to Gisborne and visit family as I was in the Hawkes Bay for work and it wasnt too far to travel the extra distance and it also gave me the chance to pick up a few caches in this lovely community.
After finding GC409JH - SHOOTING RANGE (Gisborne), this was the next cache that I had on my list that I wanted to find today, the drive to GZ was very pleasant as there wasnt much traffic around and it didnt take too long to reach GZ.
Arriving near GZ I managed to find a parking spot not too far from GZ and it was a simple walk to GZ, worked out where the cache was and managed to put my hand on the container and try as I might all it did was go deeper into its cave, so in the end I decided to give it a miss and continue on my way.

On the road for our first venture into the North Island with our little caravan to explore this part of the country. It is not a caching expedition as such, but we do manage to stop for one or two . We’ve been on the road now for 23 days since arriving in Wellington and have made it to Gisborne, via Mahia, Wairoa, Napier, Cape Kidnappers, the Wairarapa, Cape Turnagain and Cape Palliser. Had a variety of weathers, but mostly ‘good’, until the last few days , we are waiting to see what Hola might do and fortunately last night was a bit of a ‘no show’, thank goodness. We have already seen and discovered lots of interesting things about our country that are new to us. Our travels lead us to your cache, as we travelled north, many thanks, davesnz, for bringing us here. We’ve had great fun so far and look forward to finding a couple more caches as we travel on our way. TFTC.
Tried to contact owner but had no reply. Previously found this and have put a replacement cache in the same place. Hint still applies.
I wandered past Heath's Corner today
And after lots of neck strain,
couldn't see a cache here up in the canopy.
So I didn't stretch too far to try to find it
OK !!
So it's up there somewhere !!
I might be back tomorrow to see if I can turn me frown upside down with a find !!

After some tree climbing signed the sheet on the last line. (Still the other side to go)
The weather forecast was for a warm day, so we decided to take the bikes out for an early bike ride on the Kaita Wainui cycle trail. Didn't get out as early as we had hoped and the temperatures were already heating up as we headed out.
We were happy to search in the shade of the trees. Took a while to spot and then there was the problem how to access. Other logs mention long reach or something to stand on, but the hide must have gained in altitude since then as the only way to get to it (without a ladder) was to climb. A difficult climb, or maybe StreetWalker is getting too old for this sort of lark? He handed the cache down to me to do the paperwork, and I threw it back up to him. Only thing to do now was get down in once piece. Thanks for the challenge and TFTC.

#11976. After a bit of looking up I spotted the cache. The tree had no low branches, but I managed to climb up into the branches pretty well (much better than a tree climb in Whangarei a few weeks back). Once in the branches the cache was easily reached. TFTC.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Found it, got it, signed it... and even photographed it!.
My Cache King and I had to rely on a nearby discarded item to be able to reach this one.... it is now in the boot of our car since it worked so well.
Cache nice and dry and in good condition. Could see cache this time at GZ, not sure if it was supposed to be further in - but glad it wasn't!
Thanks for the cache and thanks also to whoever left the plyboard in the park
I feel like a Womble from Wimbledon Common now that I have made use of what others threw away

We almost gave up on this one as we couldn't reach it. Luckily we spotted a piece of plywood in a pile of twigs and a rubbish. With a steadying hand from Mum I made it to the cache. I am so happy we have this one now, and Mum let me keep the piece of wood!
Used our trusty plastic bin for height. This log will never get wet! Triple protection, great!
We could see the cache as we walked up, but getting it was never going to be discreet. Had to get a hoist up from hubby, & again to return it. Hope there was no one watching from the house opposite. Thanks for hiding the cache davesnz
Just finished the cycle track geo's and thought one more. Just as well hubby is tall. TFTC
TFTC!! Found it straight away, suprised though that it hasn't been muggled as it was a very easy obvious find..
I found this cache with my Mum (sunnybunny64) earlier in the year but have only just got my own geocaching account. I’m hoping you won’t mind me back dating this find so that I can log all the ones I have actually found in my own account. Jordis – 7yrs
After completing the nearby cycle series we continued on to this play park where the kids enjoyed a swing and a slide while I grabbed the cache.
