Multiple DNFs. Wound be good if the owner could confirm whether the cache is still there. Thanks.

A nice quick find here and very pleased to be able to pull out of the ever increasing traffic for a while. TFTC

Setting off on a geocaching bike ride from the motel close by. Liked the hint and quickly found. The log book is sodden so added and signed a new strip of waterproof paper. Would be good if the owner could remove the soggy one. Thanks davesnz, your historic photos are very good.
Pretty easy find, but could not write in the logs. Paper is soaked through and falls apart when trying to take out of the bag Had nothing on me to replace it… Still a nice hide. TFTC!
Quick find on our way past. I stayed in the car while the Geo Gecko went and found it.
A quick first find this morning.
Jude_E, NosyNel and I are continuing on our figure of 8 tour of the North Island collecting the ‘Tour’ caches, plus others, plus seeing the scenery, plus having a good old time. TFTC.

Travelling from Gisborne today to Napier with Nosynel and Ethness. Our goal is to find all the TMGT caches in a big figure 8 across the centre of the North Island. A quick find near our accommodation. Thanks for the hide.

Oops I forgot to log this one. I am on a North Island Figure of Eight tour. For the first 4 days I spend time in the Bay of Plenty with my husband JDScout in Rotorua. Now I am on part one of the eight loop heading to Napier. This part is being done with my good friends Ethness and Jude_E.
Thanks davesnz for creating this hide. It was find 9086 for me.

Signed the new log, thank you. No red flag up today so it's safe to be here today.
The sun was out again, so I was going the make the most of my remaining time. Good to find after my previous dnf! TFTC!!
A cunning little hide on an absolutely scorching day. We are on our way up to the East Cape but can’t resist getting a few of these before we leave Gisborne for the lonely SH 35.
A nice quick find. I got the bike off the back of the car to find this series of caches. It's a nice cycle track resource for the cyclists!
Christmas holiday road trip to Auckland. Day six, in and around Gisborne.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Off in my car and I happen to have rustynz and Rebel98 with me for this 2 day weekend. We plan to get Geotour caches in Whakatane, Gisborne, Tolaga Bay and Napier. A trip that would take 1401km returning through Taupo back to Auckland.
2nd day, 1st cache for the day. Our hotel is just 100m away, Oasis, so we make this our first cache, I found this I think, easy enough and now onto some more Geotour caches.

A group of Westies (rustynz, rebel98 & gorby) on a East Cape caching adventure, came the scenic route
Its a new day, and this being the closest cache to where we stayed the night, we had to find the cache.
Gorby soon had the cache in hand, and the log was being signed. Thanks for the history and the hide davenz

One of 12 located in the Gisborne area on the last day of our Labour Weekend stayover. Found a few caches along or near the cycle trail before heading out to the airport mid-afternoon for our flight home. Spotted this one fairly quickly. #2820. TFTC.
Day 4
Travelling from Auckland to Gisborne. Beautiful scenery all the way. Stay overnight at Oasis motel and walk along the path for little exercise. Easy to find. Thanks davesnz for placing this cache

Weekend in Gisborne for the Daffodil Show, time to find some caches. Thanks davesnz for the cache.
Found on my trip north enjoying the caches in the area. Enjoying my time in Gisborne
Off on a 5 day mission from Northland to the East Coast with the main target being the last two CANZ caches that I had not yet found. The opportunity to grab some $25 airfares to Napier was just too good to miss, even though it was winter and the days might be short and the weather might be dodgy.
Day one though was a real mission, with early morning fog for the drive to Auckland, untold time navigating the long Akl parking lots, delayed flights before we took off and then again in the air before we could land causing a missed connection for the rental cache mobile pick up. To top it off, the weather was cold and wet, but I still managed four caches in the dark.
Day four dawned much better with a cloudless sky but still a chilly sou'west wind. Our accommodation was in Wainui Beach, so while Mrs had a sleep in, I headed out for an early morning exercise jaunt along this cycleway. Was surprised how many walkers were using it this morning and so a fair bit of stealth was required before making the cache retrieves.
Was interested in this old rifle range set up as I am a member of a similar club up north. With a bit of thought, I soon sussed out where the cache should be and sure enough, there it was. Signed log and then replaced securely as found. TFTC

Quick find as friends tooted as they went past. TFTC. Cheers, Pinetree and Sunrise.
For my personal challenge of working towards getting my calendar on GC.COM to be at least the same shade of green or darker I need to sign off at least 12 caches today. I won't grumble if I find one or two more. Today I decided to go a drive out from Kaiti to Okitu.
I got this one on my way back to the cachemobile as there was a truck parked right next to the GZ.
Cheers for the cache.

Day 4 of our NZ trip, and after a long drive from Rororua we figured we needed some exercise. We borrowed bikes at the motel and headed out on the cycle trail. Great series! TFTF Greetings from .
We were doing the cycle way caches so picked this one up on the way. No problems here apart from the lawn mower man who we kept having to dodge. TFTC
YUS back exactly a year later to avenge the DNF thanks for replacing the cache and it was found in good condition and replaced as found. TFTC.
This had been a planned trip in the company of HKCB to Whangarei but as the weather wasn't the best in the north we thought we would bring this trip forward and head over here to see what we could locate as neither of us had done a whole lot around this area.
Leaving home 7pm Friday evening and returning by midnite Saturday, 954kms travelled and approx. 70 caches located along with about 8 DNF's.
Thanks to all the CO's whom have put out these caches for us and completing the maintenance to keep them going.
The start of a new day and after a few hours sleep it was time to see what we could find with the real challenge being the new virtual as that was a primary goal for the trip. With the light up and no rain the day was looking good for a few caches. With the drizzle and grey skys we had the area to ourselves, so with a little inventive parking and some quick finds we were off again.
Thank you for the placement, thanks for the cache.

This weekend had been booked into headed to Whangarei with Cats&Dragons for a bit of caching, but as the weather wasn't looking flash at all, so we decided to head East instead to Gisbourne as we both hadn't done much caching in te area. Leave home about 7pm Friday, and returning home midnight Saturday meant we got a fair bit of caching time in for the limited time we had. All up we found just under 70 caches in total, so a big thanks for all the CO's for placing and maintaining the caches we found on this trip.
No bikes with us so turned thes into P'N'G's. A nice quick find here.

Maintenance visit to site to check geocache. Replaced with new cache container and log in original location as per description.
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
Another dnf to add to the list. Thats six in a row spread out over a year. Is the CO still around?
Nothing found at likely location.
Edit...I think might have been looking for too big an item. I will try again soon.

nope, only dnf's for over a year, and a lot of the others nearby seem to be missing, so I left it at that
Decided to go geo catching with brother. Looked hard everywhere, couldn't find it. Maybe it got stolen or lost ?
A stroll out to Wainui took me past the rifle range
And at the start of the cycle track,
a quick cache find was mine to find
