Heading into the city this afternoon I had a few hours spare so opted to do a few caches around where I was spending the night. Parked centrally and did a loop walk around the streets.
A nice easy one to start my walk.
Thanks

Nice church

Yay another find after a gruelling walk up the steep street. TFTC

Parked up at the cache site. Got out of the car and sat on the now defunct bus seat and summed up the situation. Possibly there. Bingo. Sat back on the seat to sign log and admire the lovely old church where many moons ago I went to a wedding. TFTC bonaccordians.

Took a slight diversion from my usual route home from work today, after a morning shift, to pick up a few caches around Rushcutters Bay and Double Bay, in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. This was the 3rd of 5 finds for the afternoon.

After a couple of finds along New Beach Road this was my next target. Parked right alongside the church, in Greenoaks Avenue, and then wandered around the corner to GZ for a quick find. It certainly is a grand old church with an impressive spire towering skyward. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC bonaccordians.

Excellent. Interesting church. Tx

27-Nov-16
On this cloudy Sunday midday I was walking from Kings Cross to Bondi, checking out neighbourhoods in between. Eventually ended up climbing up this hill - and was rewarded with a magnificent view towards the Harbour Bridge! [^]

A quick sidetrip to do this cache resulted in me sitting on a bench and evidencing what the cache description already alluded to: seemingly better-heeled folks having a chat in the church yard after the Sunday service and driving off in their probably-pretty-costly-and-brand-new vehicles. The socialites in action? Should I have taken paparazzi photos just in case there were some important people over there. Razz

But back to reality. Once the immediate traffic was over, the container was back in its hide. BTW, probably the easiest D2 hide I've come across.
All good here. TFTC, Bonaccordians!

Another stunning day in Sydney and a church to compliment. Sat on bench to post my find in a new fresh log! TFTC.

Took a little while but found it eventually!!

Came visiting with a geokid who is about to baptised at this very church, so it seemed apt to log the find while visiting her. Spent a little too long sitting in contemplation at the wrong spot, but quickly had the cache in hand one I correctly identified gz. Tftc

An afternoon caching in the Eastern Suburbs. After picking up some caches in Rushcutters Park, I walked uphill to visit the Bells of St.Marks.
The replacement cache was found in good order and I was happy to add my name on a empty sheet. I almost felt like a FTF.

Two days ago, I was admiring graffiti in a building 20 minutes walk from here. Spotting a potentially useful container disguised as rubbish, I took my eyes off my footing momentarily and stepped on a nail.
The doctor's response the next day, to my amusement, was an exasperated, "Oh God." (Yeah, he's awesome.) ...
ANYWAY the point is, there's now a pink box somewhere near these coordinates. The attachment method is a bit precarious, so there's no pen/cil.

On our way out to Darling Point, stopped by here.
Wondered if visiting on a Sunday morning around 11am would mean muggle mayhem. Not so.
Made a reasonably straightforward find on the cache.
All in order; log signed, cache safely re-hidden, just as found.

Found with morry9. I had to run an errand in Edgecliff, and morry9 was available to accompany me and attempt a few caches while we were out. While waiting for the office to return from their lunch break, I went across the road to find 'The Edgecliff Angel' Traditional Cache. It was a quick find but I inadvertently knocked it over the edge (literally) and it fell to the ground of the level below. I walked around to collect it and thankfully, its robust construction meant the cache was unharmed in the little mishap, phew! I walked back up to perform the signing duties and return the cache to its hiding spot. Once the errand had been run and was out of the way, morry9 and I went to 'The Bells of St. Marks' for a quick park and grab. There was a neighbouring pooch who appeared very lonely and was watching me intently underneath the fence (see attached photo). We moved onto the 'Lost Boy' Multi Cache next and we located the clue to work out the final resting place of the cache. Many a time, while out geocaching, both morry9 and I have felt like lost boys! We then popped down to 'Grotty Yachtie: CYC' for a relatively quick find, followed by a Did Not Find at 'Sailing with Ben', although we did not have a good opportunity to conduct a thorough search with all of the muggles out and about. As a final hunt for the afternoon, we walked over to the other side of Rushcutters Bay Park to make contact with some alien lifeforms at 'Take us to your Leader'. Not the hide we were thinking of, so it took us longer than it should have, but one we have seen before. Nevertheless, it was good to finish up with another find under our belts. Thanks For The Caches to the respective Cache Owners!

For today I wanted to visit some caches. After studying the GC map I decided to go to Edgecliff and Darling point.
As it was a Sunday and the weather was nice I expected I would not be able to search for all the caches I wanted to visit. Because at some places I expected to many muggles.
I left my apartment just before 12am to cache the train from Martin place to Edgecliff.
Because I finished my search earlier then expected and with less founds than I hoped for I decided to extent my search.
At the end of the day I had found 9 caches. 2 caches I could not find. And 4 or 5 I had to skip due to muggles.
I expected this one at the other side of the road. But I could not find it. Then I realized that my gps pointed to the other side of the road.
A quick look revealed a possible cache location. And a quick grab left the cache in my hand
Thanks for this one.

A quick and easy find being a typical Sydney side cache. Lids faulty but camo is protecting it from the rain. Didn't sign log as I couldn't retrieve cache due to muggles. Tftc

Looked in the wrong spot for a good 5 minutes before it became obvious where it must be. Good one!
So nice to sit and watch a wedding unfold too.

An easy find here while on an early morning walk from Edgecliff to Darling Point. TFTC

17-Mar-16
With Solving4X. This was the second go for us, having no luck the first time. We now realize it was because there was some construction at GZ and that probably explains why the cache wasn't there. It seems it was knocked off and maybe got parked on! Container does need to be replaced, though.

16-Mar-16
Lovely little church with some nice history. Cache is in desperate need of repair.

15-Mar-16
Today I have to go to market research in the city. So I park up near here for free and unlimited parking. I decided to go and find a cache on my down to the train station. I looked in the most obvious pl and no luck, then the next pl I looked bingo found it. Didn't take long. I don't think you were aloud to hide it in that spot. Also needs maintenance a bit squashed. Cheers for the cache!

12-Mar-16
Good find

12-Mar-16
Out for a day of caching in the area. Where my dad use to deliver coal and coke. Many years again. I was having a history lesson as we drove around the area.
I'm figure I knew where this one was but no. I double checked and widen the search area I really want to find this one as I would be my dad's first find but nothing
As we step on to the road my dad said 'what that'. I replied ' that is it.'
Poor little cache was squashed flat it seems to have fallen off it hiding place and been run over. I took it back to the car for some TLC. I used pliers to open it up so I could retrieve the log. I sign and replaced where it should have been. The CO may like to replace. now I have a geodad. TFTC.

First spot I looked, but it was too well camouflaged. After another 20 minutes I looked again. Excellent spot, great description. Didn't bring a pen so I'll sign the log another time. TYFC

Christmas Eve and the people are coming out of St Marks after the Family Service. Think we'll come back here for the same service tomorrow morning - it looks like a great old stone church and am looking forward to seeing it inside while worshiping on Christmas Day. We are a long way from our family church in Brissy and by ourselves for Christmas for the first time in 46 years!

Easy find, once we had exhausted the possibility of a cache on the Seat at the dis-used bus stop.

Found at 7.00pm on 24th December 2015. TFTC

I've been living in Sydney for a few months now, but aside from lunchtime caching walks in the CBD, I haven't been out and about too much. With the wife overseas for a few weeks, I thought I'd take the opportunity to visit some caching hotspots along my trainline and see a bit more of the city in the process.

I approached GZ at the same time as a bunch of joggers. While they took their time to vacate the area I checked out the likely spaces from the bus stop - fortunately they were too busy to notice that the bus route is out of service. When they finally left I'd scoped out the most likely hiding spot, and had it in hand quick smart. Thanks for placing!

21-Oct-15
A quick train trip from the city at lunchtime to find this one. Unfortunately, I didn't factor in the rain that was starting to fall as I approached gz. Hopefully I can make it back to the station before it gets too heavy.

Quick find although I didn't expect it to be where it was--in the US I think this wouldn't be an allowed hide. Oh well. I'm having a really nice caching day and if I actually lived here, might be tempted to try ringing those bells. I will definitely have to try to hear them some day. TFTC!
