Parked at the other side of the creek, and walked across the bridge up to the substation and on to GZ.Found the cache after some searching, and also reading some previous logs indicating where the cache now is hidden. The hiding place is shared by a large nest of ants, who were not too happy to be disturbed.
Thought Ill try to find this unvisited cache on its tenth birthday. Easy find. Someone else found it too yesterday (14 months since previous find). And yet electromagnetism isnt that strong to attract my body here infinitely, phew! TFTC
Day 21 of Whittlesea Road Trip and heading towards home on the north coast. Today we are travelling from Dapto to the Central Coast and attempting to find a cache in some of Sydney's outer LGAs. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining caches for us to search for!
A bit of a trek to get in but worth the effort. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere not in the burbs. Easily found
Electricity really is amazing isn’t it. And the way we’ve managed to tame and distribute it. A couple fun facts: the word “electric” comes from the Greek word for Amber; because it was first observed when people rubbed amber with silk and noticed you could make feathers float. Then it was tamed by allesandro Volta copying a fish, the torpedo fish, using the notes of Henry cavendish. Anyway happy caching thanks for an easy one Blundo busters
Visiting Old Toongabbi today and grabbed this cache. Rather warm for it. TFTC Blundo Busters
2nd Blundo cache of the day, a bit of shock, we were onto this one in a flash

Catching up with a muggle-lite friend this morning and after coffee at Winston Hills I mentioned heading here for this cache, as I wanted to secure the 02/02/2020 digital souvenir. This friend knows about Geocaching and he has made one find during a previous catch up with me but that’s about it for him. He’s happy to indulge my Geocaching predilections whilst we discuss worldwide political shenanigans and jurisprudence.
Once at GZ, the cache was easily located, signed and replaced.
Cheers for the placement Blundo Busters.

Tftc. Quick find on a nice sunny morning. Plenty of birds calling in area over near by road noise.
As I am visiting Sydney for 2 weeks, I am trying to find a cache in as many Local Government Areas (Council) as possible. Parked the car and went towards GZ , the long way. I went right instead of left. Cache found easily. TFTC
quick easy find, after being brave enough to touch what I thought was the cache (and was). Anyway, let’s go somewhere less electrical. TFTC
I'm not familiar with the song but it was a nice walk in the park on a sunny morning anyway. The site is also reminiscent of a certain album by AC/DC.
We parked in Hurley Street as the Reynolds Street parking waypoint was blocked by a couple of Council maintenance trucks. After enjoying a brisk stroll to GZ, we had CIH.
Thanks Blundo Busters.
Thanks Blundo Busters.
We were testing a new eTrex Touch but found it less precise than our old one despite a recalibration, which was a worry. Anyway, the cache was quickly found regardless. SL TFTC
There was no problem finding this cache, as the GPS pointed in the right direction and even to the right corner. This meant that only a glance was needed to spot the container and it was also easy to retrieve it, sign the log and replace all as it was found. Thanks to Blundo Busters for placing hide that was not on the challenging side of caching.
Picked this one up while out here with geodog. On Wednesday when I found cache 1500 I made a promise to myself to try and 3000 by my 3rd of caching with is 5 September 2018. So I have to get about 25 pre week and with all my local one just about gone this will be no easy feet.
Thanks for this cache.

I came here after the dog park cache and parked at the suggested location P1. I'd looked at google maps and could see that GZ was on the other side of Toongabbie Creek and assumed there was some easy way across the creek.
I walked for 500m along the creek looking for somewhere to cross. I could see GZ, actually I was very close. So near and yet so far. No luck so I turned back and headed for long grass, having read the last finders log. After a few minutes I could see where I needed to go and made my way there. I don't think I would have liked to walk through this grass in summer, too much chance of snakes but today that was not the problem, it was the heavy dew.
Soon I was on the correct side of the creek and at GZ.
Fortunately it was an easy find as I didn't like the idea of spending too much time in this location under the camo with whatever it emits. Signed the log and visited some TBs then walked back to the geomobile through all that long grass again.
Just time for one more, yes of course!

#4181- Once we navigated to the parking co-ords, it was an easy stroll through the long grass to GZ- thomo31 spotted this one easily. The wood ducks nearby were a pleasant distraction from the metal scenery. Thanks
Out caching with WaywardWoman this morning. The grass was long as we headed towards GZ and my shoes got damp. A short search and cache was found. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC

Yay another Blundo Busters U2 cache.
So, getting to GZ was the tricky part. I made my way from 'The Steps' cache, which was a DNF, and with the weeks of heavy rain has left the grassy areas very boggy and my shoes became saturated REAL QUICK. But once at GZ it was a nice easy find, I signed the log and replaced as found.
GREAT, now I have to go back the way I just came, through the boggy grass.

Out on a first day of 2017 geocaching expedition. This was our first stop and surprising because we found it easily and the last time it was found was over 7 months ago. It is safe and dry. An interesting location with a theme that is quite different than expected. Listened to U2 and contemplated the treatment which is an option just now for a close relative. Happy New Year! SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek

I originally came down here to attempt Chloe's 11th Birthday cache, but as the playground was crawling with parents and children I continued driving around the corner and thought maybe I should attempt this cache, which I failed to find previously.
On my last visit I used the hint as a guide, but previous logs indicated this was not the best idea. As such I ignored the hint and areas I had searched previously and began looking at other things. This turned up nothing, so I read a few more logs which suggested GZ was off the mark. So I widened my search and right away found the cache.
The cache is in a sad state with the log sheet looking more like an oversized spit ball. I did not attempt to sign the log as it was literally falling apart in my hands. Instead I have included a photo.
Some TLC definitely required here.

Nice cache and location. Pretty easy to find after some searching. Log needs replacing - too wet to write in and fell apart after I tried to get it out. TFTC
Found it on an overcast good Friday while in the area walking the dog. This one took longer than it should as GZ for me was a good 15 metres off. The log was damp so I left it in the sun for a short while. TFTC
We have visited some nice parks during our trip today in Northmead, Winston Hills, Baulkham Hills and Bella Vista and found this nice cache.

Searched in a few wrong places but widened our search and soon had the nicely hidden log in hand. Found with Bluewattle, thanks Blundo Busters & TFTC.
#2823rd - Found after quite a search by Bruce. He had to de-steel and go corking at the structure.
But find he did, even with a colour coordinated spider thereupon - yep, big juicy red back - no in another dimension care of Bruce's sandal.
All part of the fun and challenges on our AroundOz bicycle tour via the highest peak in each State and mainland Territory.

Unlike Yurt, I knew the parking cords and parked at one. Then tried to cross the creek, but thought I'd better use the bridge. Walked around and to GZ. Then searched and it wasn't long before I realised that the clue might be a little misleading to me. I expanded my search and found it. Log is wet, so I signed carefully. TFTC.
I should have checked the parking coords before I headed to this one. The GPSr thought I could drive straight in the front gates of the electricity substation! Anyway I parked away across the creek and walked the long way round. Google Earth showed it to be on one corner but it wasn't and I walked around checking all corners until coming back and checking previous logs. So it's probably not where it should be? If the hint makes sense anyway. Quick find once I pushed down my preconceptions. Signed and replaced.
Thanks!
Thanks!
The 3rd and final find today, filling in the blanks in my find map in this area. The cords took me to one corner but the find was in another adjacent corner. The wording of the clue suggested a twist and so I found. I don't think the cache matches the clue anymore. TFTC
Had some time to kill with Master _Q so decided to give this one a go. The filed was soaked thanks to the recent rain so Master Q had a ball. Also the big cockatoos around were much entertainment for Master Q so I could search. The hint threw me off and had me going for a while. Just when I wanted to give it a miss, did I have a good thought. And yes, CIH. Yeah. Happy dance:)

Found it with mum, although I was more interested in chasing the beautiful white birds:)
I was driving past enroute to Parramatta thought I'd drop in for s quick check. I have spoken to BB previously but remained still very unsure, arrived at GZ thinking I had searched all these placed before...
Checked logs to see if any action had happened since I was here last, apparently BB has completed some maintence...
Ok, it's here somewhere....
Looking around.... Bingo! How did I miss that last time??
BB you never cease to frustrate me... But I trully love it...
Cheers mate.

I'm happy to report that the cache is still in place but have replaced a very wet log.
Looked around called a PAF with luck. Maybe its been washed away in the recent storms?

Looked everywhere for this, every nut and bolt and every corner. Hmm, where the hell is it?! Seeing 2 previous DNFs made me wonder if this was muggled.
Returned to where I first looked because I had a feeling about that spot and surely enough, the cache revealed itself to me
Log was too damp to sign, so took a happy snap for proof!
Giving this a fav point for the clever hide!

After taking the kids to Reynolds Park for a bike ride, we headed over to this cache.
We searched for about 10 minutes before checking previous logs. With the last find being about 5 months ago and a DNF in the mean time, I am guessing this cache may no longer be here. I had a final look around anyway but came up empty, so decided to abandon the search and get out of the sun.

In the right place but didn't find it. Had geodaughter with me. We got bored so we left to look for others.
Glad I walked the long way round by the road. That wouldn't have been a fun creek to cross! What an odd park, so many pylons. Found reasonably quickly, was lucky to pick the right one. TFTC
We parked near the security gates. A security guard came out to wave us on. Seems like this is their street. I pointed to the direction of the No Stopping arrow but he was still insisting it was no parking so we moved and parked around the corner. Made our way to GZ passed a beautiful white horse in a nearby paddock. So much history around. Great reading. Nearly got thrown by the hint but rechecked. No its magnetism. Hmm was instantly drawn to something different and bingo we had the cih. Another Blundo Busters cache off our list. 2 in one day we are on a roll. Tftc SL
A very powerful hiding place.
At first I thought it was missing. But then looking at other options I soon had the cache in hand.
Unfortunately water has gotten into the container and the log was drenched. My pen barely made its mark.
Thanks for the cache.

Nice easy walk to the find. Plenty of space here and few muggles.
Easy find too. Log book is a bit damp though.
Reminds me of the castle... "Dad says power lines are a reminder of man's ability to make electricity."

Continued on to this cache from The Steps. Despite the overhead high voltage lines, the iPhone was rock steady pointing me to a particular spot.
When I got there I spotted a few suspicious looking thing. And the first one I checked was CIH.
Opened the cache to a very damp log that was already in two pieces, and threatening to become three. Managed to carefully sign the log.
Also I think the cache has separated from the camo - not 100% sure as I couldn't see how it should be installed.
Continued on along the path to Kayla's Cache.

CO check as per my log. Extra waterproofing needed - maybe some plumber's tape.
Had some spare time as I was in the area. Found the cache the first place I looked. The log is wet which made it hard to sign with a pencil. Thanks BB for the cache

Walked down from Goliath Ave. The area is quite sodden but with coords spot on, had CIH quickly. Some previous Cachers must have cached in the rain as the log is damp. Thanks BB
6/04/14. 3:08 PM. Cache #1433. "The boss" gave me the afternoon to cache, so of course that's when it decides to rain. Started with this one, when it was only a light drizzle, but the paddock up to the towers was a quagmire from an earlier downpour or two. Navigated the least squelchy way to the right corner, but on not finding what I was expecting, ended up at all 4 corners anyway. Still nothing, so I needed to rethink what the hide might be. Found it in the end and it was quite different than I'd expected. Off to Rouse Hill next for another BB U2 (Pride). TFTC }:)

I parked near the play equipment at first. This was our 4th cache of the day and our 4th set of play equipment. Monkey Girl was determined to try out each set . After a small play, we drove slightly further along the street & parked at the first set of parking coordinates.
I thought I knew what type of hide this would be, but luckily before I could test out my theory by climbing, Monkey Girl made an instant find of the cache. She didn't like the ants on the container, but I managed to knock them off.
Thanks

When you cache every day you need to be prepared for any type of weather, pulled up at one of the waypoints, went in my boot to grab my gumboots and rain jacket and off I went to the cache. Coords are spot on but I still needed reassurance from a PAF. SL #1323 on streak day #630 TFTC

Continuing on with our BB caches we went after this one next. We managed to park close but had to wait for the phone to download the cache into the GPSr part which took a couple of goes. We headed off to where we thought GX might be and began the search. We looked in a number of likely spots before thinking a little more and then found the nicely camoed cache. The out side was wet but the log was dry. We opened it up and confirmed **FTF**, completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

I have created 2 waypoints for suggested parking. As Old Windsor Road is very busy and does not host parking spots, there is parking on both sides of this road.
