Loving the weather today, nice and cool. Found with DenzilL. TFTC. I also loved the cache
On approach I was worried that the cache might have been disturbed due to some recent pruning. Fortunately the cache is still there available for all to find. TFTC
Met with daughter and granddaughters to make the most of a lovely day and get a bit of this rail trail done. Nice cache!
Found on a Rail Trail return ride from Moolap to a cache 3.5km from Drysdale. This led to 38 caches over 36km or so, I’m very tired but it was well worth it. Interesting hide here, very well done! TFTC!
A quick walk from the train station car park and a quick find here.
Thanks for the cache.

Out with hubby Wespro on a short caching morning. Found the right tree but nothing was leaping out at us. Then Wes finds the attachment point but nothing there!!! A quick search through the wet grass and there it was - fallen to the ground. If I had seen that hanging in a gum tree I would have known it for the cache straight away. Lol. Now it’s back in its right spot.
*The Had To Drop The Son At The Op Shop And Now We Have To Wait Three Hours Adventure #1*
Fair warning to all the cachers following us. I found the attachment method before I found the cache. The cache itself had fallen, and was overgrown with grass. If you find it below knee height, please replace it in its rightful location.
Thanks heaps, Flying platypus!

It’s always a great surprise to find a cache where the CO has made an effort to make it different and fun to find. Took me a couple of minutes until I put down my “man eyes” and realised it was there staring me in the face and I had been looking straight at it. Terrific cache.
Accompanied with silence49, lance51 and DeafVW. We hire the e bike for G2Q Rail trail for the day. We had a great time finding your cache Flying Platypus, thank you so much for placing it.
2nd day of riding and caching along the rail trail with Jascat.. Today the ride was from Leopold to Drysdale. TFTC
*16 Jan 2022, Found @1:20 pm, Find # 3737.*
Day 2 on the rail trail with mazza-g. A cracker of a day to be on the bike as we make our way from Leopold to Drysdale. This was a very creative cache and worthy of a favourite point
**Thanks to Flying Platypus for placing this cache.**

Been down here in Geelong for almost a week now visiting my daughter for the Christmas/New Year break, so as I do, I get up well before everyone else to take yet another chunk out of the Bellarine Rail trail series. An early morning ride on my poor under-utilised mtb seemed just the ticket, whereas previous attacks have been undertaken on foot.
A quick find here thank goodness!

We needed a quiet day inside after the last couple of days. Resting and recuperating. The day had gotten away from us, and it was past seven in the evening when we decided that takeaway was what was needed for dinner, so into the Geomobile and Drysdale to get something for dinner and grab the cache for today. Not sure why we haven't looked for this one before. There certainly is a bit of an odd difference to the stump. The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache Flying Platypus.
First for the night! Spotted it immediately, actually amazed at how quick I sàw it... Great hide love the Camo!!! TFTC...
Our plan this afternoon was to load up the bikes, drive out to the driving range near Curlew Station, and set off back to Geelong to fill in the smilie line by grabbing all the caches back to where we had previously stopped. We figure by travelling in the opposite direction this time we would have the wind at our back as we rode back to the car.
This plan worked so well that when we got back to the driving range car park where we had left the car we continued on to Drysdale and found a lot more caches than we had planned for. A great plan made even better by the extra finds.
We are enjoying ourselves in Geelong so much we have extended our stay for a few more days and are hoping that will give us many more funds. Having survived the wind, rain and cold we are looking forward to better weather as well.
TFTC and a big thank you to all the CO’s who have put out caches along this great rail trail

Cache has fallen victim to the tree fellers, but maybe there was only two of dem. Will renew soon.
Going out was necessary today as it would not be good to run out of medication. Goingplaces2 came along as well and exercise was also on the program. This was part of the day's exercise. Cache was found easily, log was signed and all was replaced as found. TFTC.
We had to go out today to pick up some necessary medical supplies and to do some much needed exercise as well. There were a lot of others exercising as well, either with bike riding or walking their dogs. We had to time our cache finding in between these visits by passing muggles.
There were no problems in finding each of the caches and each log had two lots of initials noted as we were out exercising with ilook4geo. This old gum tree is very much a growing tree, but still holds something very unusual.
Thank you to Flying Platypus for each cache placement and for the exercise opportunity.

Found it when staying at Leopold, on a trip along the Rail Trail, during my motorcycle holiday in Australia. But today I preferred the bicycle.
Since the day we had booked the air tickets for our current geocaching holiday to Australia we had been looking forward to hiking and geocaching the Bellarine Rail Trail. We had arrived in the area two nights ago and so yesterday morning we had parked up in Drysdale and hiked to Queenscliffe then taken a taxi back to Drysdale at the end of the day. Today we once again left our hired cache-mobile in Drysdale and then took a taxi to Geelong - we then hiked back to Drysdale to complete the trail. Once again we throughly enjoyed the hike in some truly lovely Australian weather and of course we also found many geocaches, and so many thanks to the COs for having provided us with the opportunity to have enjoyed yet another great day out geocaching! On our second circuit of Ground Zero we spotted the good fun cache. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the very nicely camouflaged cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
I was winding up work for the night/morning when I had a late trip out to Clifton springs so I took the opportunity to grab my cache for the day while I was here. It had been raining but wasn't at the moment but that meant there was plenty of water hanging around on the gum leaves dripping on me as I was looking. When I spotted my prize I ducked under the branch in order to get to where I needed to be only to come back up a little too early and banged my head. I don't think I knocked any sense into me as I am still continuing with my caching streak which is now at 214 days.
Thank you Flying Platypus for the hide

I decided that I needed a walk, and thought that coming down to the G2Q trail would be a perfect excuse for one. After picking up a number of targets prior to hitting the trail I could now simply walk and hoover up the trads as I went. Along the way I came across 3 muggles not counting the labourers on the other side of the trail constructing the latest estate down the Peninsula. I guess the sea changers need to be placed somewhere. Certainly Council is aware of the increasing population as it streamlines the various roads in the area through sporadic roadworks. I guess the question that will need to be asked in a short period of time thereafter is what happens when these people age out of being able to drive reliably? I'm envisioning a few road crashes of varying degrees of consequence.
Enough of the doom and gloom though, all caches were found quickly and easily although a couple do need replacement logs given they are completely waterlogged.

Very Nifty cache.
The log is wet though.
Enjoying finding some caches on our QTrain journey.

Found with teamashy. I came past 2 days ago in the wind and rain but after a brief look headed back to the car. Today teamashy went straight to it. TFTC
Our second cache on the rail tree today. We found the nicely hidden cache without difficulty and signed the log. TFTC
This log is to tidy up a mess I made with GSAK . I forgot to apply the template so my finds were published with a nonsensical log.
Rather than try and edit all the logs I post this not with what the log should have been.
My apologies for the confusion caused.
A few days away with Freddo, e.gregory1 and The White Dog Gang.
Fun was had by all. Not too many dnfs
Most logs signed as FETT.
Thanks for all the caches.

Found whilst cycling the beautiful Geelong to Queenscliff bike trail with Freddo, Team Waldron and e.gregory1 - we've signed as F.E.T.T.
A hot day but great scenery and good co-ords made for an enjoyable ride

Cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked.
Found on a short, post-Christmas sojourn to Victoria with Freddo, Team Waldron and thewhitedoggang that involved plenty of driving, cycling, walking and even some boating and wading.
The weather was on our side (albeit a little warm at times), which made for some great caching. There were plenty of varied finds, with some excellent and often tricky hides and and just a few DNFs. We signed most logbooks ‘F.E.T.T.’
Thanks Flying Platypus for the cache.

Was staying in Geelong for the weekend to catch up with family and attend the few Christmas events tomorrow. Having my bike with me, gave me a great opportunity to go for a ride along this nice little bike trail. The scenery along the way was spectacular and the ride was most enjoyable. As it was going to be 40 degrees today, I was up very early but it was already very warm. While I had 1 DNF's, I made some good discoveries and clever hides along the way.
Nice to find something a bit different, so given a fav.
Thanks Flying Platypus for placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play.

Our first visit to Victoria so we thought we'd head to the Bellarine rail track for a caching bonanza. Had a great day with 56 finds; quite a few dnfs as we rigidly applied Draper's rule which says "no ......... shilly-shallying!"
Used (hired) electric bikes, a first for us, and can only describe them as like cruising on a Harley; virtually no energy expended, and so easy to use.
Only downside was that it was a tad chilly. Only 16 degrees when we got back to the car whereas at home in sunny Serre Chevalier at 1400m today was 21 degrees!
Many thanks to all the local placers and apologies for the generic log, but time is precious and the Great Ocean road beckons.

Day out caching with sassieold55, great afternoon stroll along the trail, wonder how old Old Gum is, it probably could tell a few stories.Tftc
Find #3619. Found @ 14:36 with The Good Lady Wife, j-bean and skirrel.
We're in Portarlington on a getaway, and getting in some caching is a part of that plan. Part of the deal for coming to Drysdale for shopping, was a stroll around the lake to find the caches.
This one wasn't around the lake, but is was the closest to where we parked, so we ventured via here. We all looked fruitlessly, until j-bean came over and just grabbed it.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache Flying Platypus

Down for a overnight getaway and the youngest geokid woke early so we went for a cache. Nice cammo that was spotted after a few minutes. Thanks to Flying Platypus for placing this cache.
Found with my Clarmensma family - becca85, GemmaSistema, boo09, AdamSistema & LukeSistema after heading to the coast to find the Ozone wreck then caching our way home. TFTC
We road tripped to the coast to visit the Ozone shipwreck and cached our way home, grabbing this one on the way.

A last minute road trip for the day to visit the Ozone wreck (so awesome!) nearby before we (Team Clarmensma - myself, GemmaSistema, neisha07, boo09, LukeSistema & AdamSistema) headed home via a few strategic detours.
A great day had at the beach and caching our way home.
A quick find here, very gradually converting this series. TFTC

A day at the beach with Team Clarmensma (GemmaSistema, AdamSistema, LukeSistema, becca85, neisha07, boo07) had us in close vicinity to this cache. After a DNF previously I thought a friend might help. I found it in seconds this time! It was missing last time so I'm a way that makes me feel good! Ha ha ha. Many thanks for the cache.
Final for the evening but we didn't like the mozzies very much. We also think the rubber seal on the container must be broken as its quite wet inside. TFTC
Found without log so I placed a temporary log and signed it.
Needs maintenance and new permanent log
Sorry I did not have a suitable log to place but piece of paper will do for now.
Great camo and cache a case of the unexpected

I cycled from Queenscliff to Leopold on the Trail today, then caught the Heritage Train back from Drysdale at the end of the afternoon. Lots of other folk out enjoying the sunshine as well. A great way to see some of the countryside and find “one or two” caches along the way. A most enjoyable caching experience. Cheers and TFTC
Out for a day on the G2Q trail with Moneydork.
After a long search the cache was found on the ground. With the log signed we replaced it where we think is should be.
Thanks for the cache Flying Platypus.
