4 years in the making and finally found it, this one was a thorn in.my side for so long, it was either muggled out or cache blindness set in. TYFTC
A stop on our way through and I started the search. Mr McLookers had the touch and found the cache. I did sign the log 18/10.seems I am a day ahead of myself! Thanks for the cache Freddo.
OMG. This was so deep in I could hardly reach. I had the right idea from the start but my arm was almost too short. I put it back not quite that deep. Gloves don't help. Ants everywhere. TFTC l
This was a top spot for a big rig to pull over for a break. We didn't see there was a cache here till after we stopped and naturally this thing was begging for one. And why not make it nasty... There was something on the cache page MrG homed straight in on and the cache was found quickly. Whatever detail helps... I'm for it. TFTC Freddo.
Got out the bee proof gloves from the caching kit and made a quick find with SJG66 TFTC
How far is too far to drive for a single cache???? Im not sure of the answer to that question, but I feel like I might have been flirting with that line for this one. But I had the time and all my responsibilities had been left at home, so I ended up here. Searching for this cache in the dark. In the misty rain, I was rather grateful this one didnt require the extended search indicated by its difficulty level. TFTC!
Go Freddo! Go Freddo! Great hint that took me a moment to download. Then used the smartiphone camera to look into secret places. Gotcha Dropping off a **FAVE.**TFTC I needed to stretch my back and legs
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state WA. After spending screening Murray Bridge due to car problems, we are today caching towards Keith. Very foggy morning but surprisingly quick find here. Thanks Freddo
Out and about now slowly making my way to Melbourne. Got a few targets I am after and should get them in the next day or two
On the way back from a trip into Victoria. Quick find here on a unique DT combo.TFTC SL
Mr Riddell eventually found it and is still fighting off the nippy ants that are simply everywhere.Pleased to get another D5 under our belts.TFTC
Our long-awaited trip to Adelaide for the Leap Day Mega started with fitzy_1965 and I free camping in Narrandera overnight.Today was hot! So hot that my sunburn from the weekend started to blister. Not helped by no air conditioning in the car. We made it into Adelaide without melting....just!All caches found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned. With a bit of time up our sleeves we took a slight detour to turn a couple of DNF's into smileys....from Jan 2021! The cache guardian watched us the whole time.
Day 2 of our trip to the Great Leap Forward mega event in Adelaide, accompanied by our new Canadian friends jtee and janjorjack. After exploring a section of the Great Ocean Road yesterday, we spent last night in Hamilton, and today is the push to Adelaide. After a bit of searching, jtee came up with the goods. TFTC Freddo.
34,265. Found with minniek during our trip to The Great Leap Forward Mega Event in Adelaide on 29th February 2024.Day 2 : After leaving Canberra when minniek finished work yesterday afternoon, we aimed to get to Wagga/Oura Beach to camp the night, however we made really good time so headed on to Narrandera instead. After a night in a free camp there we continued our drive to Adelaide with several stops for caches planned out. The day sure heated up and a lot of water was consumed - thank goodness for the fridge ! This was the next cache of the trip. A quick find once at GZ. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one on our list. Thanks Freddo !!
stopped to find this one with janjorjack and chooknchunk..went I to a few spots and found it..woohoo..thks for the fun
Day 5. in Australia and it was a road trip day. Chooknchunk,Jtee and I were off to the coast and. Working our way towards the Mega. Wow. What a lovely country. The goal for me was the many amazing earthcaches and some cool looking ones nearby. We have found the cachers around here super friendly and helpful. Thanks for the smile
**Today:**On an epic roadtrip with DSD for the SA Leap Day mega! We woke up in Millicent this morning with a destination of Murray Bridge, via my first ever event in SA at Tailem Bend Motorsport Park, which is up there with the best venues I have attended an event in! The SFE Challenges near Millicent were the first target, before we cherry-picked our way via high DTs and county chasing! Thanks to all COs for an awesome day!**This Cache**Spied this cache just off the highway and couldnt resist stopping for a tasty DT! Was able to locate the cache without issues and sign the log, woooo! Thanks for the stop! Glad we had time, as it was starting to run low before we needed to be at the event!
TFTC! 27 February 2024 9:29:01am 7373 thanks to Freddo for the cache! Off to the Great Leap Tear Mega in Adelaide. A stop off along the way!
Muggle65 and l are on our way to the Leap Year Mega in Adelaide. Such a long drive but thankfully we have a few cache stops. Great hide.Thank you for the break and the fun ??
This was an addition to our list as we had already done what we had planned for the day, this one was well hidden but we found it in the end. Then we sat down in the shade and had a bit of well earned lunch. This was the first trip to the mainland for this group of Tasmanians in a while, we flew over on the 24th and left early on the 3rd. With 4 days in Goolwa followed by 4 in Glenelg we managed to get some caching done in different areas and pull in a select list of caches we all almost all needed, old caches were on the list as normal but also some different D/Ts with some high fav pointed cache making up the remainder. The trip didn't start well with Qantus losing a bag which made us rearrange a couple of days but we got some 4WDing in and a even some driving on the beach to get a couple of different caches, boat trip to Adventure Island was a great start on the day of the Mega too.All caches were stamped "Team Tassie" which consisted of myself, gooseandegg, Budgietas and Tassie TrekkersFound on 26/02/2024 at 14:37:00 thanks to Still Fighting Fit Freddo for placing this cache for me to find. Our planned day was done! Apart from a cache Budgie had chosen some distance away we were aimless. We stopped here for lunch which was a nice break, if somewhat noisy, and had a look for this cache. SSR made the find after we'd poked and prodded for a few minutes. Thanks FreddoThe usual trio of myself, stainless steel rat and Budgietas was joined by Tassie Trekkers for The Great Leap Forward trip. We decided to cache down south around Goolwa, Victor Harbour and extended reaches for a few days, before basing ourselves in Glenelg for the second half of the trip where we cached around the city, the hills and the Barossa Valley with a highlight being a couple of hours on Adventure Island. Many thanks to the Mega Committee, all the helpers and many local COs who kept up busy and entertained. Most logs were stamped with Team Tassie.
We stopped at this location for lunch, as it was lunch time and why not stop next to a good cache.Stainless steel rat came up with the find and then we sat down to eat-A mixed day of caching today. We had a plan to do a 4wd track with swampy and vk7hch as we thought it was safer in numbers. Of course due to some good planning we had no issues. No doubt Murphys law would have kicked in if we went alone. We found all the caches we knew where they were, but we unsuccessful in trying to find a new cache we hadnt worked a solution out to yet. After separating from swampy and vk7hch we went off list as we were running in front of time. We managed to find some additional good D/T and old caches that were in the area. All caches were stamped with Tassie team which included Gooseandegg, stainless steel rat, Tassie Trekkers and myself. Thank you for placing and maintaining the caches for our enjoyment
Sherlock, Camped up near the church.Today we commenced the ROTF Series. Not the best day yo do it in 40 degree heat.Passed by a couple of other caches that we just had to attempt. This was one of themThanks Freddo for hiding this cache.
Was inititally looking for a nano, but remembered that Freddo never hides nanos. Found well tucked out of sight . A useful DT combo too!
Traveling from Gippsland to Adelaide, we decided to accept the challenge of trying to find this cache. Despite a truck being parked nearby we had a free run to explore GZ without muggles being present. I had a look about but could not find it until my said it will be there, sure enough she was right, as usual. Bees weren't a big factor today but are still there.TFTC
Honey all dripping down with honeycombe and dead bees littering the area below the nest. Lots of active bees up the top.Found and signed the log.Tftc
Driving through down to Mt Gambier I could pass up having a go at a D5! No bees made for an easy find today. Thanks!
25/10/2023 9:37:00 AMPassing through the area on a caching trip to the riverland and made my way here in hope of a breakfast, but it wasn't to be but I did find a cache to make the detour worthwhile.Found in the first place I looked, unusual for me.Thanks for placing and maintaining this game piece.Find recorded using GCDroid and logged using GSAK
Difficulty rating raised. Given the presence of bees take special note of the meaningful attributes.
On our way to Adelaide from Melbourne but couldnt find it due to a lot of bees in the immediate area.Dated: Thursday 14th of September 2023 at 5:45pm
Heading down south for the day with marajade01 picking up a few caches along the way all looks good here thanks freddo
OMG, I stopped here right on dusk. Big mistake . I wasn’t expecting to find this due to loosing the natural light. For starters I walked into a couple of cobwebs while searching, all the while lashing out at the huge population of mozzies! No wonder there is so many webs around here. The local spiders must be fat! About to give up as I was under attack and I found blood, no, i mean the cache, I found the cache . I’ve never signed a cache and replaced one so quickly before.

My seventh day of my trip heading to the Mega Event In Whittlesea Victoria. This would be Find Number 5 of 10 for the day and find Number 91 for this trip away.
I pulled up here to fix my electrical problems on the way across but forgot to get the cache so grabbed on the way back.

Given the number of trips to/from Melbourne during my time as a geocacher, I’m not sure why I haven’t already attempted this one; but today is the day.
A feeling of dread when I saw what was required here, but I’ve had success on these in Renmark, Paskeville and Snowtown, so maybe it’s just tanks, trains and guns that bring me undone.
Thanks for the rest stop Freddo.

Not as hardcore as I thought it would be! Blasted Myner bird tried swooping me. When I ignored her/him, it tried singing to me! The nerve of the stupid bird! Tftcsl.
Found quicker than I thought as it passed through my brain....ooooh no....please not a nano...

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. It is a wonderful day, just perfect for geocaching. Thanks for the cache.
We are enjoying our time travelling SA. Fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs & wine. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.
Coming back with PPE and Crash 2079 after our delayed visited to Millicent.
Many a trip to Millicent had been planned, locked out or down. More recently a plan was hatched for 4 of us to attend but enroute our number dropped to 3 which meant so re shuffling and re prioritising.
We (PPE and Crash 2079) held our own event, Grumpy Over Millicent or better known in our vocabulary as GOM amongst other TLA’s of the same acronym. It was great to meet some of the locals.
Many an adventure was had with TOTTs of various types. The weather left a bit to be desired with fleeting bursts of sun but mostly wind, over cast and plenty of rain but we still managed to hoist poles and ladders and climb trees.
The rating looked good was another stop, break and cache. A short search with multiple hands.
We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC.

GOMs do Millicent - Day 4
After our plans to attend the Mega were cancelled by COVID, the stars finally aligned and saw **bella at waggy**, **Purplepeopleater** and myself jetting off early on Friday morning. With such a variety of targets on our list, we needed to bring an assortment of TOTTs via oversize baggage.
Last day in SA before heading for home this evening. Looking to pick off the last of the targets as well as some new LGAs on the way back to Adelaide.
Stopped here for a quick cuppa

Heading down to Naracoorte for the weekend and, of course, I had to find a few caches along the way. It was mainly caches that had been placed since my last trip down this highway including one or two that had been missed on previous trips.
I had a decent idea of where this cache would be and knew I had to be methodical in my search if I was to find it. After searching a couple of spots, I soon laid my hands on the container and extracted it. The log was signed and the cache replaced (in good condition) and I was on my way.
All caches were found in good condition.

Another move was made to go a bit further north with goingplaces2 and just doing a bit of caching along the way. This cache was quickly found, signing duties were done and we were on our way again. TFTC.
With another fine day happening we were on the road again with ilook4geo. This was one of the caches we found and both names were soon noted on the log to mark our visit. Thank you to Still Fighting Fit Freddo for placing this cache.
Loved the hint. Remindered me of the Goodies. And the cache was very firmed attached. It is not going anywhere. TFTC
A second visit to the area. First one was a while ago for the previous version. Found in almost the first place I looked but certainly the last. Needed to wait some muggles to go. A good chance to have some lunch. Thanks Freddo.
Parked under a tree.. had a break.. at well over 40C we didn't stay out of the car longer than we had to. Find was quick and the location deserted. thanks SFFF!
A quick search soon revealed this little cache.
Signed log. Thx for the break in driving.

Heading south today, quick stop for this one. Fancy that found 2 caches, the obvious old one an a new one. Signed both of them TFTC’s
Up bright and early to head out and tackle some local caches, especially some 4x4 ones. It was only 4degrees at 8am and foggy when we left the caravan park, the sun was setting as we returned to town and the petrol station. [:o)]
Great day but muggles everywhere! No matter how remote we were there were muggles, they came in all shapes and sizes. Off road bike riders and car loads of kiddies, grain carrying trucks, fertilizer trucks, fertilizer spreading trucks, even 4 wombats crossed the road in front of us.
We managed to tackle some of the ROTF series on our way back to camp.

Heading down to Millicent with the GV2020 crew to discuss our postponement with the local Council. This was a short stop on the way down. Given how often I've treked this highway, I'm surprised it's still on my unfound list. Slowly making my way through all the new caches in the South East, and this was small dent in that to-do list.
This was find number 1 of 1 for the day for me. TFTC Freddo!

What to do on a long weekend... I know, let's go geocaching !! While we are at it, why not cross the border as well !! So once again, I teamed up with Na'wal to find some hidden treasures. We loaded the GPSr's up with some juicy D/T hides, loaded up the car and hit the highway. The ladder certainly got a work out here, glad I packed it in the car.
Luckily there were DNF's, that would have stung !! We grabbed a great variety of hides, a credit to the CO's. We didn't even make a dent in all of the awesome hides here. Oh well, we'll just have to return here again !!
Well this took a lot longer than it should have. Why didn't we look there first !! TFTC Freddo
