Couldnt find it. Searched low cos of the laces clue under the bollards but to no avail. Not to say its not here but couldnt find it
Glad to finally have turned this frown upside down after visiting here years ago. Took awhile but got the find. Tftc
When I first moved to west Auckland from hawkes bay I lived close by to here along portage road and found work at the BP across from here . This bit definitely is new . What a great hide CO. TFTC
Nice cache, all good here, thanks!Standing on the gabions prob made it a bit easier?
We couldn't find it. Not to say it isn't there. A little adventure to somewhere we never would have found.
It was found only a month ago I can't seem to raise the difficulty lvl as clue says stretch (down) under and up magnetic LOKKY1
Fun walk for me and daughter while waiting for gymnastics. Quick find thanks to the hints - especially that the cache is magnetic! But I guess it depends if you start from the right end.
#88 mr8 had tried to find with his gran yesterday and he was very pleased when we found it today, took 4 pairs of eyes.
Find #211
Thought it would be a bit of a stretch to get this in the dark but managed to find it without too much trouble.

Luckily the wee one is a bit more nimble than I & retrieved it while I was lying on the bricks slowly making my way along the bridge.... would have got there eventually!
Was in the area and had a bit of time before I needed to head to work so decided to go on a small walk and collect a couple of nearby caches. Plenty of muggles around here. Started off on the wrong side but once we realised this we took a different approach and found the cache.
Took a bit of thinking and looking around, and then a stretch, but we got it. TFTC
2nd time lucky, some contortionist skills and head scratching ..
TFTC! Left some tiny swag for whoever wants it.

On a mission with Squirrelinthemiddle. A short search yielded the find. Alas, my contortionist skills were not up to the task of extraction. Thanks.
With Coldstream he is long and found it, I am skinny..I retrieved it. Perseverance paid.
Couldn’t find this one, may need replacing but it was muddy and a lot of rubbish there today.
Keylev and I were on a mission to really crank up the numbers today. So better get to it!
Even with her abnormally short libs, Keylev was able to grab this. Though her fingers were waay to short, I grabbed it for us, signed and moved on. TFTC

As luck would have it NZTravellers, B4Dawn and I realised that all our other work and social commitments aligned to give us some free time this week so what better way to put this to use then some afternoon / evening / night caching the WHOLE week!!! This is day 3 so by now the early work starts so that we could finish early and have more afternoon caching time was kicking in but we were not going to let that stop us. Unfortunately both of the NZTs had to pull out of the adventures so it meant only B4Dawn and I were on the caching hunt tonight.
This one had us going in circles for a little while but I was determined not to give up as I was sure we were just missing something. B4Dawn even went down onto the gabion wall to see if it had somehow dropped. I went in for a second sweep of the first area I had reached into and felt something I had not noticed the first time and what do you know there it was....ta da!
Thanks for the cache.

Awesome find. Not really sure how some people managed to grab it from the path. Maybe I wasn’t stretching well enough. TFTC. Awesome hide
Finally redemption on this one!!
Found it!!
I disagree with the previous log from A.....paradise, leaving the path will not help at all with finding the cache, it can be easily found from the path if you are searching the correct place!
That person didn’t even sign the log, so doubtful they found it! (Photo of logbook attached).
Anyway, apartently it was too smeaky last time, but I found it easily today!
Thanks for the cache!
All good here!

Ok ok. I recommend going off the path. I little climb down. Tricky little bugger. Good cache. Fangs yo
Sister and I came here about 2 weeks ago after a very long walk, couldn't find ,gps was not good, we were tired and gave up.came back today , re read instructions and found it within a few minutes. It did help that we found a similar hiding spot recently. Hands and knees will help
Logged a DNF for this previously but having noticed people finding it more recently we thought we’d give it another try. Still took a while scouring the area and scratching our heads but eventually we were rewarded with the find. Perseverance pays off! TFTC!!
Third of the day and this one took us longer than it should with four sets of eyes looking for it. Got it in the end. All good here with the cache
Another detour on my way to work brought me along here this morning and after a wee moments thought, the well hidden cache was in hand. Nice work here. TFTC
Dad works close by. I was small enough to just bomb in and try to find it but didn't. Then dad swooped in and found it.
I'm up in Auckland for one of my regular visits, and with having the next week off work I am looking to break my longest streak for finds as well as push through and gain my 500th Cache whilst I'm here.
Today is day 5 of my current streak, and I managed to get a couple of hours of free time to go caching courtesy of my other half needed to go into work to sort a few things out, so what better excuse than to drop her off and go and grab a few quick ones if I could.
I had a need to visit the nearby Mitre 10, and New Lynn is not an area I had visited before, so thought I'd give this one a go. I parked up in the nearby Petrol Station and walked to GZ. Whilst there was lots of traffic, there were very few muggles around so I was able to have a good ol'd search around.
Initially I came up blank, so a read through previous posts persuaded me to keep searching. I figured a methodical approach would be best, and sure enough I could soon feel the tin, although it was a bit touch n go as to getting it out without dropping it!
Once in hand, it was a quick sign and then everything put back exactly as found.
Thank you for placing this cache for others such as me to find.

Walked the dog down here as cover after doing something wrong at a nearby multi and failing to find that one. After looking in a few places I thought that this one might be on its way to being a DNF too but decided to disregard being so literal with the hint and see if that would help. I managed to feel it in the end and could get it in hand, bit worried about dropping the little beggar but all good. Thanks for the cache, good to get this one as I can see it eludes from time to time. Condition is excellent.
Previous logs also helped, plus the fact its about to rain again keeping muggles well away today. Sneaky hide, TFTC
This one was tricky until we read previous logs and we learned what type of container it was AND the which side to look on. After that it was straightforward. Thanks!
Well that was certainly a stretch wasn't it. Definitely wouldn't have been able to do that with muggles around. Helped reading the previous logs. Tftc
Traffic was heavy today but no one was taking any notice of me fiddling with my sandal straps. TFTC
Thought i would chance my luck since the last few have been DNF, well glad i came, quick find after a slightly longer stretch than what Ayrshiregirls arms coukd manage. TFTC
We were about to give this up as our first DNF of the day. But MrAnthony gave it one last big stretch and we were in luck. The streak continues! TFTC
Gave it a go, spent a while trying. Checked activity and last log a DNF and last find a while ago now. Suspect this may have gone walkies
Looked around for a while. Found what I thought was the perfect hiding spot, but there was nothing there. At least I learned about the history of Portage Road.
Nope nadda zilch. Whatever you want to call it, we didn't find it. Inspected pretty thoroughly but didn't have any luck today.
Part of a wander round the west with evilno9, it was a busy day out but a nice quiet corner so we could have a proper search. TFTC
Carrying on the local cache hunt with LikeTips and borrowed some parking from the nearby Gull before making the walk up to GZ. Nice and quiet here which helped and after bit of a feel around the cache was soon in hand. Nicely hidden - TFTC
Sunday afternoon hunt and plenty of traffic out and about - may be due to the sun actually shining brightly! Had a look in the likely spots. Kiwiscot was inspired , had a huge stretch and came up with the cache Sneaky placement .Very pleased to locate this as it hasn't been found for a while. TFTC
Didn't find this one - the last person couldn't either - is it missing perhaps? Will try again.
This was a great find. Took me two goes - the first time, was looking for something too obvious, the second time, started thinking more lateral. Fun though - and liked the waterproof paper for the log.
I tried looking for this once during the day a week ago, but the amount of traffic at midday and wearing business attire didn't make for a good hunt. I decided a visit under the cover of darkness was a better bet. Following advice from previous logs I decided to have a look from a different perspective and that proved to be the best way as I found the cache almost immediately. This is a great spot for a cache, TFTC!
Took me a while to realize where it was. Probably wasn't the best idea to do it at 1 in the afternoon because it was so hot and the black paint was even worse. Tftc
Well was a bit of a stretch, and a stretch for the fingers, as I barely could feel it, took a while to get firm grip on it, used my pen as a ruse, if any muggles, phone & note book on ground beside me, ( oops dropped my pen ) as more than did the lace thing, someone got bit to pushy !, TFTC

Well, I found the stretch from shoelacing position to be quite extensive.
Meanwhile, a car drove by on Wolverton St, women screaming: "G-C! G-C! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Greetings to you too, ladies! \m/\m/
Thanks for the cache!

After the nearby meet up a couple of us went out to collect smileys on some of the nearby caches. This one took us a little longer than it probably should, but ugnz eventually had it in her hand. Wouldn't have liked to try this during the day! A very busy corner
after the event, we headed to this one and we are coming here for the second time. this time it was an easy find with less muggles around. cache is all good here. tftc Andy..!!
Collecting caches in high muggle areas after the nearby event, don't know about witchegurl and merlot but I had no shoe laces to tie, took longer than it should but soon was signing log and putting the cache back into storage.
Second time back here. I was looking on the wrong side of the path. Luckily Dion was onto it
Out with the family on an overcast Sunday, had grabbed the nearby multi ''so just one more"! Kids searched and reached, M searched and reached, eventually B reached a little further and there was the cache! TFTC!
This has been on the wanted list for some time, finally had a chance to have a look. After studying the compound, placement of muggles, a plan was devised. Advancing from the East turned out as the best way to reach the target. Reinforcements required to extract the cache. I signed the log after TeamBMMR visited the site earlier in the day. TFTC
Nice weekday afternoon caching in the area. Most people were busy doing their own thing. TFTC.
Was in the area today and noticed this cache very near by here... the geomobile was albut running on fumes, so across the road Mrs stik-a-crane heads, whilst I proceed to give the geomobile a drink... Arrived at GZ and took some time to narrow this one down, and noted the last finder posted a DNF, so started thinking The same might be for us.
By this time Mr had filled the wagon with fuel and started heading over to join in the search, when the find was made.... clever hide... signed log and returned cache...
TFTC.

Finally a break in all this rain, so we decided that it was time for a date night for the NZtravellers, which means night caching!!! Yay!
After completing a number of caches in Blockhouse Bay we decided to find some late dinner and while on our way we stopped to grab this cache. Had some issues finding a park as was unfamiliar with the area and it had started to rain again, so MrNZT was sent out to make the find. Used the old tying laces ruse and even with long arms was a good stretch. TFTC!

Cool finally found this one been here a few times with no luck, but managed to go straight to it this time. Tftc
Another great find while in the area.
Took a bit of searching
Thanks for setting up this cache.

Certainly was a stretch tying those laces. Got me tights wet on the knee! Tricky one. Tftc.
I'm happy to report lokky that the cache is all good... and new log paper! Nice, it almost felt like I was going for FTF... but not to be. Interesting history here which I read twice while the build-up of traffic at the red light watched me out of curiosity. As soon as the light turned green I was able to do the retrieval. Then one more time to put the cache to bed. Thanks for that.
ok seeing as people were finding the old container and log decided I need to find it to retrieve it, done (it's now gone), new container has been in place in its original location for last 4 weeks, no names on the log book as yet,
so the last 4 logs havn't found original location, cachers please replace container as found and 'DO NOT' move as you see fit, thanks, happy caching
