Out for a little Hagley caching wander with pals, this was our first stop - nicely concealed.
7.3 World travelers adventure log.Out and about exploring the world with Nildran on this epic adventure! Thanks for adding to our memories and letting us explore your favorite spots all over the world! It continues to be a wild ride!TFTC SLIf you find yourself at a local pub during trivia night, and the category is:'States shaped like a Mitten'here is some information that may help you win that round:Michigan trivia 7.333. The Detroit metro area sits atop a gigantic salt mine. According to some estimates, there's enough salt down there to last for 70 million years at the world's current rate of consumption. Pass the potato chips! 34. The nation's first tribally-owned casino was Kings Club Casino, operated by the Ojibwe Indians of Bay Mills.35. During the war of 1812, Detroit was hotly-contested territory. It was surrendered to the British in 1812, but the first attempt to retake the city in 1813 resulted in the River Raisin Massacre, which had the highest number of American casualties of any battle of the war. Detroit was finally recovered some nine months later during the Battle of Lake Erie.36. The Cross in the Woods Catholic shrine in Indian River has a 31-foot high crucifix, the largest one in the world.37. The nation as a whole learned how to spell the name of Kalamazoo (well, sort of) in 1942 when the Glen Miller song "(I've Got a Gal in) Kalamazoo" hit the top of the charts.38. The Kalamazoo Mall was the first outdoor pedestrian shopping mall in the United States.39. Kalamazoo was also the original home of Gibson Guitars, and a budget model produced in the 60s and 70s was called the Kalamazoo.40. A Roseville man who dropped a couple of F-bombs after falling out of his canoe was convicted in 1999 under a law that had been on the books since 1897 prohibiting indecent, immoral, obscene, vulgar or insulting language in the presence or hearing of any woman or child. In 2002 the conviction was overturned by the Michigan Court of Appeals, and the law was struck down at the same time.41. It is still against the law in Michigan, however, to contumeliously reproach God, assuming you can even figure out what that means.42. In 2008, the city of Flint passed a law that gave police the authority to arrest anyone whose pants sagged so low as to expose their undies or bare butts. The local plumber's union has evidently declined to comment (or comply).43. Brighton and Grand Rapids have laws against being annoying, although Grand Rapids, obviously unwilling to foot the bill for jailing its entire populace, is planning to abolish that law ASAP.

Driving in the rain and thought Id stop and get this one. Had to sign with a mud stick M as I didnt have a pen. 50% was losing its adherence. Thanks for the cache billiehenny
Great hide.... first touched, thought this might be it. But couldn't remove it. Had to walk away and think about it.... second time try and it was what I thought it was. Hehe found it. And thank you...
Found pretty quickly but took awhile to retrieve as there were heaps of muggles about.
After a stressful morning of being tested I was glad to get out into South Hagley Park for some exercise - I stopped for a look here and failed to spot the cache. Looked again about an hour later with StewNZ and the extra keen set of eyes soon spotted this one. That makes 2 out of 4 finds and over 6 stops on my short run today - probably more time spent searching than running Thanks billiehenny for placing all your caches and giving me both a direction to run and an excuse to stop!
Another great hide here, nice easy find despite the many muggles this afternoon, TFTC

Saturday Morning I was bored, so randomly booked a plane ticket to Christchurch. While in the area I decided to look for a few random caches. After not having much luck at night caching, I decided on Sunday to visit Hagley Park.I immediately spotted something of interest as I walked up to this, and once I got the right grip I managed to retrieve it. Lots of runners out around here so I had to fake that I was using the gate to rest / stretch. I hope they bought it
342. Hey from Aus! I havent seen one like this before. I saw it, didnt know how to retrieve it, came back to it as my geo senses told me to, yank! Thanks so much
(1 of 4 today)Greetings from Australia!Flew over the Ditch yesterday for the Cricket Test at Hagley Oval. Beautiful little ground. Havent sat on a hill for the cricket on a very long time. After the days play was done my compatriots walked back to our hotel while I wandered around the park looking for caches. After not attempting two which were fenced off, I made four finds before getting back just in time to go straight back out to a nice Vietnamese restaurant for dinner.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Weighed up the hide options on approach and of course checked the wrong ones first. Still had CIH pretty quickly, though. Nice camo.SLTNLNTFTC
I saw this cache before I got the app and Im pretty sure its gone now but I dont know
Found. Great park for walking! More muggles than usual due to the concert. Tfth
I noticed it needs maintenance. If you can send me the two words I will accept that as a log. Will restore shortly
That one gets a not only for the cache, but also for being so well maintained (we're the second on the new list) and the "add-on".
It is a very fun one to search for, and it is in the most least expected spot!!!!!! Enjoy!!!!
First of the day, at first I touched the container, without realising it was the cache, later coming back to it and seeing in of the others in our group had found it.

Cool container! We have a night in Christchurch before we go back to the states, so we decided to look for some caches! TFTC
# #6,942 #----------A nice creative hide here in the most simplest of places. Thats always a good way to hide them: naked to the muggles eye but obvious to the cacher! TFTC!!! ----------> All geocaches are signed as mmmPIZZA or mPZ
In the Hagley Park South area today and grabbed a few caches as we wandered round. As we approached we honed in on the hint item and soon found this nicely hidden cache. We have found many in similar hiding places but this was nicely done TFTCTim and Viv - ddm
