Guess it's time to wrap this up ! Wish you all a Happy New Caching Year !

Meeting lots of like minded. Enjoyed talking with them. As a bonus learnt a few tricks how to find the caches. Nice to get a piece of chocolate from the organizer.

Thank you L & R for organising this little get together. Found it most helpful as well as social;-- really enjoyed ourselves.

So wonderful to see so many cachers out and about during a usually hectic time ! Thrilled to meet so many new faces behind the caching names and I'm sure we all enjoyed the lovely weather & companionship, esp teamwork to find some of the trickier caches in and around the park. Merry Cachemas !

Attended this event with bugzptr, was quite a nice evening, great to see lots of other cachers there

was great to meet some new fellow cachers and got some great info on how to use my GPS.

Attended and chatted to a bunch of new and previous GC friends. Thanks Roger and Lois. Need to return to the area over summer to get more of the nearby GCs.

Merry Cachemas everyone. Glad we were able to squeeze this event into the Christmas madness and be able to catch up with so many Christchurch cachers on the last of triple 'numbers' days for a long time.

Stopped by after work for a quick chat and then off. Merry Christmas all.

Thanks La Vista - like others this was a wee oasis of calm in the middle of the end of year madness.
And in the middle of the week - perfect!
My weekends have been rather full lately:
- 2 weekends learning to facilitate the new High and ow Ropes course
- a Guiding Trainers weekend in Hanmer
- show weekend spent paying my brother back for all the work he did on our place by manning the shredder to deal with all the pruned back trees at his new place
- a couple of weekends training
Then, still to come
- a Guide Camp this weekend that I am frantically getting stuff together for.
And in between all this finding a new meeting place for Guides as we are splitting the unit (40 girls is a bit much!), finding the spare bedroom after some minor renovations as my Mum is coming down for Xmas (this was fast-tracked when the in-laws decided to visit last weekend!) which HAS left me with a morning the help kiwicampnut pack up boxes etc for her imminent move while her home is finally rebuilt.
And it won't be over at Xmas yet either as another leader and I are taking 12 Guides to Taranaki for a week.
Insane? Of course - put wouldn't have it any other way

Haven't experienced any Christmas madness at all actually - I never even know what people are on about in terms of Christmas madness!! Haha. This year is probably my calmest of them all in the last few, as I don't have a lease that expires in December, and I don't have to move at that time anymore!

So, didn't even need the GPS to find this one As as soon as I crossed the bridge I saw a swarm of people!
Great to hang out with everyone and chat Fun times!!!

And I hope to see everyones expressions of interest coming in soon!!!

Thanks for the invite, interesting meeting all the geocachers, noticed a big spike in my Hagley Park caches following the event .

Will hopefully make it along with the mini cachers

Sadly the middle of the week events are out for us
But we do hope that everyone enjoys themselves and we will catch up with alot of at the reviewer event on sunday

What a great idea to have an event today so we could all get that special date on our logs! The weather co-operated beautifully too. It was great meeting some new cachers and catching up with others and very nice to see 3sharpe! Pushing the boys on the swing brought back a few memories from years gone by. Dropped dolphin tb. Thanks for organising LV team - now for the mad rush of Christmas!

Thanks for organising this event La Vista - it made for a small bit of R&R in between the packing and gave the body a bit of rest. Back to the slog of it all now so I can at least get into my room to sleep tonight. The joys of moving.

5810. A beautiful evening to attend an event. We were a little late after attending Zach's breakup from preschool but still enjoyed chatting with a few of our geocaching buddies. Thanks for the event. Rodney and Iris.

Arrived on the scene, slightly late, to find there was a mass (what is the collective noun for many geocachers?) of cachers heading out from GZ to go find a nearby well hidden cache that had caused a number of DNFs (including one from me). After depositing my camp chair I was soon off after them - had to let then have a bit of a head start - so that I would arrive whilst they were signing the log. My plan worked.

Good to meet old and new friends in this Calm before Christmas time. Thanks for the organising La Vistas.

Thanks for the awesome event. There must have been 30 people. Such lovely, friendly host and meeting Sharpy 3 was a bonus. So tiny! It was great fun caching with various people. I managed to find two puzzle caches and 4 ordinary ones. It was fantastic.

Wonderful evening and great to meet you all again. All Sharpe's thoroughly enjoyed it. Perfect night for it

I've just realised I hadn't logged a will attend here, sorry as I thought I already had. I sure hope it's a calm balmy evening and not as hot as today was. Looking forward to catching up again and an easy smilie for the day, thanks.

This week has about the least 'Calm' in it.... MacPacMum in Santa Parade for Christchurch, Finishing off 50 caches so they can be shipped to Jamboree, MaPacDad's work do (on 11/12/13), MaPacMum's Dad shifts into a retirement unit trying to take as much as possible accumulated in the last 60 years, MacPac Daughter comes down for MacPacDad's birthday and MacFamily Christmas party, MacPacMum in Santa Parade for Lincoln, MacPacMum's work do, Meet your reviewer.... plus normal Christmas work overload! Hmmm will attempt to get there but no promises!

Looks like I will be there. Mother will be in respite and I should be finishing the packing for the move on the Friday but think a little R&R is in order. Thanks for hosting this La Vista. Do you need anything bought along??
