Sneaky hide but we found it fairly quickly. A long time between finds in a great spot.
Enjoying a lovely road trip staying in several small towns as we go and Dorrigo is such a pretty place in particular to visit.
Well another beaut hide found here, really enjoying the varied type of containers and for this one, I give a FP.
Thank you groovydoo for this great cache placement, loved it.

Beautiful country town view at the location of this cache - such a great hiding spot too TFTC
This was Dorrigo Day, as that was the area we concentrated on for caching with ilook4geo. This was one of the caches we found as we roamed the area. Each cache we found had its log signed with both names and was put back as it had been found before we moved on to continue the hunt. Thank you to groovydoo for adding to our caching fun for the day.
Enjoyed some caching around Dorrigo area with goingplaces2. Found a variety of caches and had some fun along the way. TFTC.
Took a long time to find this. It had been pushed in so that it was really quite hard to get out and you needed a TOTT to get it out. Put back not so far in.
Quick easy find on the way through Dorrigo this morning. This guy is a legend, and his book is a great read. Does some work for the company we both work for so see him around occasionally. Tftc!
We're staying in Dorrigo for a couple of days in Dorrigo and this morning we spent some time in Dorrigo National Park ... but not before I grabbed a couple of finds (my first in town) on our way out there.
A pretty quick find here in this lovely park ... my snuggle muggle, who remained in the car, spotted the hide while I was busy checking various nooks and crannies on the structure at GZ.
Once my geo-business was done, we lingered for a few minutes enjoying the view that Mark lives with.
Thanks for the hide groovydo and for the background story.

Thanks groovydoo for the cache. It’s #1228 for us. We found your cache on 20 February 2020. No spiders today so I was able to throw away my 2m long stick and grab the cache. Lovely peaceful place. Log nice and dry.
I was on an Australia Day long weekend road trip with Pprime, Fangsoki and 1MinniMoo and we had targeted caches in the area which would help us to qualify for a number of challenges.
Our last find for day 1 of our trip and we were heading back to our lovely cabin in the nearby caravan park. We used the smart phone lights to locate the cache.

With Fangsoki, Crew153 and 1MinnieMoo we have hit the Dorrigo Plateau for the weekend - having arrived up the range and done a quick loop of the area - we took advantage of the DLS extra caching time but eventually it got time to call it (and the rain was starting again) - one last stop on the way back to temporary HQ, a fitting tribute to a local hero. Cache took us a collective moment, but soon enough spotted. We also spotted legs of a monster that was part spider and part octopus and all nope, which slowed down the search routine a notch.
Thanks groovydoo for entertaining me at this location.

25/1/20 Find #3333
A road trip long weekend with Fangsoki, PPrime and Crew153, staying in Dorrigo.
As we had run out of daylight chatting to a volunteer for the railway museum, we headed here armed with our torches to begin our search. A bit of searching and avoiding the LARGE spider and we soon uncovered the sneaky cache.
Thanks for the cache groovydoo.

1MinnieMoo, Crew 153, Pprime, and I had headed out after dinner and this one was one our list to grab.
It was quite dark when we turned up - but nothing a Pajero with a light bar can't fix At first we had no luck - sans a large spider that we could probably hear gallop across the tin roof if it moved.
But then Crew 153 brought the beast to light. It was in good condition. A very clever little cache - and good work on the listing.

Found it yesterday while staying the night in the nearby campground, but I had to return today with a taller person to log the cache . Shame the view was clouded in forest fire smog. TFTC!
On a trip from Safety Beach to Narrabri.
A morning coffee stop.
Thanks for the interesting but sad story.

Got the camper fitted in Woolgoolga, now heading home. First stop Uralla.
Bettyboo3747 and I cached across Dorrigo, Ebor, and had lunch in Wollomombi (great burger!)
Still very smoky in the area , but a lovely day for caching.
An interesting story of the first Australian VC winner.
Also an interesting container and hide.
Great views from up here too.
Thanks, Robmc.

#16802. The first day travelling with the new campervan between Emerald Beach and Uralla. Such a smoky trip and it is so sad to see the countryside up here - either fire ravaged or drought ravaged.
So many caches around this town and we don't have time for them all but we did come in here to read about Dorrigo's hero. Took us a while to retrieve the container as it was pushed in a long way but finally with a trusty TOTT we managed to get it and sign the log before continuing on our way.
Thanks groovydoo

Another very nice find today with woolwood9.
*Thanks for helping make our tour around fun!*
Stamped logs as TM/WW NZ or our full user names or tm421/ww9 in pen.
Well after 10-00pm and cold - took a bit of a search but ww9 spotted it - fits hide well.

This wind is ridiculous to be hunting caches in here. I found the container and retreated to the car to sign the log.
Have had Dorrigo on my "must do" list for quite some time and finally the planets and stars have aligned and we set off on a glorious winter's day. Hunted around for a few minutes before the "Aha" moment kicked in. Nice hide and a fitting tribute to your local hero. FP awarded
Staying in Moonpar hideaway near Bostobrick for a few days whilst on a road trip from Sydney to Brisbane. Lovely views from this location, and an interesting read.

This park is usually quiet, has great views and always catches the breeze. On a hot day like today this makes for a pleasant spot.
I decided to have my lunch here today as well as search for the cache.
The search took some time but I eventually found the well hidden container.

Staying on the camping just beside, I took a short walk to log this one. Reached it just when the sun was setting, giving a fantastic light!
Many thanks for the cache and Greetings from Sweden!

This is logged in retrospect as we are finally back home in Scandinavia from a 3 week trip to Australia, having a fair backlog of founds (and not founds) to catalogue.
We had to be a quite restrictive with the Internet usage as the roaming fees are significant, so most of the logging work has to be done in retrospect based on fragmentary paper notes and photographs. Just hoping I get it all right by now...
Anyway, the time in Australia was super! Except for staying a few days in Sydney, we hired an RV for 15 days to take us a bit up north from Sydney to Brisbane and back. Only wished we could have stayed much longer and travelled much further, but one has to earn ones living as well...

We saw this cache and had to stop, the views from this park are breathtaking, the surrounding country side is beautiful. Dorrigo is a lovely little town that we have to come back to. After taking some photos we had a search for this cache and found a cleverly crafted container that as larger that what we were expecting.

Staying around Dorrigo for a few days, camping and geocaching.
A thorough search in a likely spot revealed nothing, a second check of the GPS showed it was pointing to another spot a few metres away where we soon located the cache.
Thanks for the cache

While I'm in town better grab a few other caches... ooh look, another from groovydoo.
This took me longer than it should have, but my determination got me there. Thanks groovydoo!

We have been staying at the free camp in Thora with our caravan and using it as a base to cache around Bellingen and Dorrigo to as far as Ebor. Fabulous countryside and we have loved the creative hides. Fav point alloc. Thankyou groovydoo for placement of this cache and sharing this special spot with us.
First find of Day 6 of my Road Trip before my middle son’s eighteenth birthday.
As I was busy elsewhere, my wife yelled that she could see it from the car!?!

We're here for the weekend, and planning on doing some of the Deer Vale, and lots of the Bald Hills trails, with as many stragglers in between. We had dinner at the Heritage Hotel, and decided on a few caches in the failing light afterwards.
Such a fitting cache to end our Australia Day caching on.... it was nearly however, a DNF! Using the lights on the iPhone and GPS, we scoured the nearby structure the GPSr indicated - then fired up Cachly, and the iPhone pointed elsewhere, and straight to a cool container..... TFTC groovydoo.... FP here.
