Well the Mega is over and time to pack up and head for home. I joined forces with a group from SA and had a ball for four days find many caches and now the job of logging all.
My caching buddies left at 5AM this morning so after cleaning up the unit it time to grab a few caches before hitting the free ways.
I now understand why I could not find the cache as it has been archived after I was there.
I was disappointed that there were no travellers but I can now understand.
At least the container and log were there.
Thanks cathylmorgan for the cache.

Traveled down to the Melbourne Mega from Canberra, along with Tankengine.
Caching around the area during the event days.
initially found ourself on the wrong side of the fence a bit of walking required but found a break in the fence to shorten the return walk.
thanks cathylmorgan

A quick grab whilst heading down to the dinner event for the Mega. Had some issues picking a safe spot to park, but soon were on our way to grab this one - shame there were no TBs there that we could help along their way. TFTC
OK - that was a longish walk to get here! But very nice. Didn't see any TBs in the cache...
Found with Mtrax on our way down from Canberra to attend the Melbourne mega Event! Was a nice drive, with plenty of caches found along the way. The only issue was - I had loaded 6000 caches into my GPS (just to cover me for the trip ) using a ggz file, but it seems the GPS wasn't happy about that! Luckily Mtrax had a smaller ggz file, so I copied that one, and all was good.
We found 162 caches all up over the long weekend, can't complain about that.
Thanks again for the cache CLM

Boys only trip this morning, with Dad and Ri taking Geoge out for a run. A check of the phone revealed this cache close by, so the three adventurers took off into the bush and quickly located it. Ri did a little swap whilst dad signed the log and George just looked at them both, pleading for them to hurry up and get back to the walking bit! TFTC!
Straightforward hunt for this one. One day I'll travel the length of the path, but today I noticed a breach in the fence and entered straight from Ballarto Rd after completing a nearby multi. Thanks!
Popped in today hoping to pick up a trackable. Alas not one in the box. Owner may need to do a cache maintenance to log these listed trackables as missing. Thanks for the cache.
No cache container. I tried to replace it, but my container was too small.
Out geocaching for my birthday today and decided to go to this area, as I have been wanting to go for a while.
My GPSr had me going around in small circles until it settled down and I soon found the cache.
As others that have found the cache mentioned the container for the cache has gone missing I brought one along to do some maintenance on, but the log book, pen and swag were too bit for the box I brought with me.
Signed the log then did a bit of pretend bird watching near the site when some muggles went past then put the zip lock bags back where I found them.
Certainly needs some maintenance as there is no cache container.
I couldn't see the travel bugs either, so someone has either taken them and not logged it, or they have simply been taken.

This was my first cache for today in the area. Was hoping to find the travel bugs there.
No travel bugs and no actual container.

Good spot. TFTC. No container, snap lock bags only, which will get damaged just through lack of strength.
Driven past this one in the work truck a few times but decided to stop and grab it today. Shame someone stole the cache the zip lock bags are not keeping the moisture out too well. TFTC
Quick find, but it was just zip lock bags with log etc, no container - I assume someone has taken it?
Great for little kids!! Swapped some bits and bobs found in the tin. Thankyou! Great fun xx
We needed 5 more caches to get to 100 caches for March, so drove out to have a look at this park, as we didn't know it was here. We walked around the 4 x caches we'd earmarked to visit and completed them all. Lots of cycle muggles on the path, in all age groups, maybe we should get the bikes out before Winter and ride a section of this path. A snake crossed the path ahead of us, scaring a lady on her bike as she rode over it, so beware, they are still active.

5th cache we've found and by far our fav. Thank you. We traded some goodies. Found with Spleenifer
The last time I came past this cache I didnt find it, instead I found someone's wallet and mobile phone. I contacted the guy via facebook and returned his phone, he was very grateful! He left it in a cab the night before while out for is birthday, given the location of this cache i'm guessing it had been thrown from a car over the fenceand just happened to land within metres of GZ!
Today I returned and found the cache in a minute or so, not sure how I missed it before!

After following the GPS to a likely looking spot I discovered an empty hollow at the base of a tree with a collection of bark and twigs piled to one side of it. I felt certain that the cache had been Muggled. Before logging a DNF I decided to check the local area on the off chance that the little hollow wasn't GZ. And yes , you guessed it, it wasn't and the cache was! TFTC
Having attended the morning event I headed out with Mrs Crackers, Alansee and Muzza to find some nearby caches and the PLT series was on the list.
Thanks Cathylmorgan for the hides,

Catching up with some late logs.
After the 7 souvenirs of August event Mrs Crackers teamed up with Mrs Coffee, alansee and Muzza for a very enjoyable afternoon's caching.
This was the first of quite a few caches we were to find on the Peninsula Link Trail and by far the largest and possibly the easiest find for the day.
Thanks for the cache.

Found with Team Crackers and The Coffees today. Well, part of them. A quick find thanks.
Out for a walk today, time to finish another section of the PLT!
Many thanks for the variety of caches along here, the kids love finding them

Easy find. This was a little exposed. I compiled log, never took a swap as we left ours at home. Safely tucked away for the next travellers .
Nice easy find on a cold winters day. No bugs here today but it looks like a very comfy hotel. Tftc
Found it no travel bugs

We found this cache today at 2:55pm as number 9 of 19 on our Follow the Freeway Saturday Afternoon. We parked across the road but then had to find a gap to get in. A nice large cache. Thanks from D & H B-A.
Find #653
Went for a lunch break bike ride to collect a couple of the PLT series, muggle numbers were low so able to search safely. Large container is still safe here! Although a different colour might be better camo! haha. tftc

This was fun to find, lots of cyclists around though! Took yoyo and egg cup, left toy car and loom bracelet

Found it on our second attempt
The first-time we tried this cache we had just run out of batteries in the gps, there were a couple muggles around an we hadn't found one cache out of 4 so we were going into rage quit so we left it until now
And sure enough found it straight away
No travel bugs or geo coins to be found inside. So we just signed the log, put it back and moved on
Thanks

Found with Pickle G on a hit on the Peninsula Link Trail. TFTC. Took a travel bug.
My car was in for its 250,000 km service, and there were some new caches nearby that weren't there last service. So I went for a 5 km. walk to grab 5 caches. I thought I had completed the PLT series, but these extra ones must have popped up since. Found easily - a cache painted like this needs to be well covered.
Thanks to cathylmorgan for the cache.

Found with Rampage 81. Nice bushy setting and views, but the rooms are too small. TFTC.
Dropped off two Travel tags. Nothing to collect.

On a 35 degree Australia Day Holiday, Rebel Acts and I decided that caching during the day was a good idea! We stupidly thought we could start early and finish late, but the weather proved to be more difficult than we thought. Those caches down by the sea were painful to collect; no parking available and a constant stream of beachgoers passing by. In the end we collected a reasonable haul before pulling the pin about 5pm. I returned home to spend the evening in the spa having a few beverages to rehydrate. Thanks to all the CO's for their efforts.

A nice stroll that proved to be quite dissapointing with 3 out of 7 missing in action. Muggles? Who knows. This one was a find.

Found with Trailrunning on another Monday caching adventure, Having the day off for Australia day meant we were out during the day, sure was hot 35° in the end we called it a day with around 26 finds. Thanks cathylmorgan for the cache.
A second bike ride adventure for the week with PopTopPete and we tackled the new Peninsula link. Our finds were well into the double figures, unfortunatly a number of caches do need some maintenance as noted separately but still a great night out. TFTC's!!!
Out on a run while the missus watches the tennis and aiming for my 300th for year end.
No TB's lodging today.
Left some christmas cheer.

I have been saving these nearby caches for those days i need a cache for the 366 & this one fitted the bill nicely.
It's a good sized cache & i spotted it due to the fact of the geo trail & that it was uncovered i recovered it better before leaving.
