----------### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUESTED PLEASE** ###----------Hi there Neville_devil,It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is some sort of issue. The recent logs may contain more details about what sort of issues are evident. The cache has been [**temporarily disabled**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235), so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location, until the issues/s can be addressed.**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days,** so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.#What you need to do:-#You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-- **Check On The Cache** - once checked, place an Owner Maintenance log and then enable the cache.- **Place A Write Note Log** - indicating a date when you expect it will be restored. - **Adopt Out or Archive** - depending on whether you want it kept or for it to disappear.Full details for each of the above choices can be found at [**GEOCACHE MAINTENANCE**]( https://wiki.groundspeak.com/display/GEO/Victoria) on the Regional Policies page. You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. On a nice bike ride we have been stopping to find these cache most of them are in alright condition but this one needs some attention TFTC
Hello We found this cache laying on the ground and in a plastic bag and looks to need attention Thanks LeoHugh
Log found and signed, but I feel the cache has lost its camo and need maintenance.
Swung by here today after returning from a trip to Tassie, and dropping the missus at the shops, to pick up a couple of hides on this trail which Ive somehow missed! Really dont know why I wouldnt have grabbed them way back when I got some of the others.Well, yes! Into the bushes, filled with man eating mosquitoes! They came at my on mass and started biting the only uncovered areas on my body. Hands and face! The bush here was rather thick with lots of fallen/cut branches on the ground making access somewhat tricky. But after a few minutes spotted something that didnt make sense, not what I would really call a cache, but the log was in it.I contacted the CO suggesting something should be done here.
Thanks for placing the cache Neville_devil contributing to this great game we play. Happy trails, deanside!
A fun find with deanside. On the 18th November 2013 I placed this guy, gee that is a long time ago but a lot has happened in my life since then. This cache along with over a hundred and fifty others have been adopted out to other folk who I hope are happy to look after these guys as the ageing Bushfire has developed a health problem that will only get worse so a big thanks to all these great friends. Finally, I must thank my good friend Neville_devil for looking after this guy as it has got to the stage when I must pass it on and wish it good luck for the future. I know it is in good hands. And lastly, I will give it another favourite because I can now. Thanks for all the great logs that have been placed over many years.
This cache was one of those found around or on the leap day February 29th, 2024 before, during or after the Mega event in Adelaide. Many thanks to all those owners who placed caches that Swampy and I found during our trip from Hobart to the Mega and return home again.

On a quest to find some caches along this gorgeous trail we easily conquered this one. Gosh that was tricky! Thanks for the challenging yet fun yet great cache.
Was obvious but it wasnt. These camouflage hanging caches are really testing us today. TFTC C&H&M
In Geelong for a few days and after attending the Puzzling Event this morning decided to grab just a few on this trail. Checked all the obvious places but came up empty handed, then a previous log, helped to make a quick discovery. Thanks Bushfire, for another great hide.
Final one I was struggling with today, with a hint from a previous finder, nini & I made it back to this spot and finally got the cacheA hint if you are struggling, if you are looking around the blackened tree, its not therethanks for the cachePika & nini 10/10/23
Out and about on the Bellarine on a beautiful sunny day after the Geelong CITO. I spotted this one almost immediately. I wish that happened more often. Thanks to Bushfire for the cache.
Took us a while. Just as we were about to give up we looked straight at the cache, lucky find. Thanks for maintaining this cache.
Couldn't find.
I searched around the bush that looked like a cache, but also looked like rubbish, and I didn't take my chances touching it.
Might come back another time.

Took the bikes down to Geelong for a caching ride along the Bellarine Rail Trail. This was our third stop of the day.
We finally found the well-hidden hide even though the two dogs didn’t stop barking the whole time and tried to deter our search.

Unfortunately couldn’t find this one today. Will come back when it is not dark
Another one with just no luck tonight, had a solid look for it but couldn’t quite locate it. Will have to try another time.
Took two separate passes at this one, but no joy for us today. If only the puppies who guard the cache could have given us a bit of a hint as to where this sneaky one is!! Another one for the watch list for another day
Found after a bit of a search. Lots of barking from the place behind.
Thanks for the Traditional Cache Bushfire

Had a few of us looking from different angles here before one of us spotted it. Thanks for the cache Bushfire.
Found on my Rail Trail bike ride from Moolap Station Rd to Fynan Rd. All up, 17 finds in about 2.5hr; an easy ride with my uncle’s bike on a day of great temperatures. It’s a beautiful ride; I’m glad I did more of the trail today. Lots and lots of dogs barking, but thankfully it was a quick find. TFTC!
Headed out today to do a bit more of the rail trail with 2 kids in tow. 13 caches was the target today and I am happy to say all 13 were found even if I had to come back for the second look. Thanks to all the CO's that have adopted these caches from Bushfire.
Found pretty quickly for us by Melissa who is spotting caches well today. Thanks for morE Improvement on our D/T.
Too many muggles on bikes on a busy Saturday morning to effect a proper search.
I have been here 3 times before without luck, then found out that It was actually missing. Thanks to Bushfire for replacing, then to Donutholes for taking this one over. All is good here now & blue turns to yellow at last! Tftc
*Found on the 15 Apr 2022 @ 2:57 pm.*
*Cache find # 12698.*
Over the years I have done parts of this trail and I still have a few sections to do but today I decided to give this first section ago.
It was a great day to be out for a ride, it did take a little longer than I thought it might as some of these Bushfire hides can be a bit tricky.
I had now come back passed my car as I had 4 more to get out this way
I stopped at this one and walked around a little before eventually spotting it.
**Thanks to Bushfire for placing this cache and Donutholes for keeping it going.**

While we were heading into the Big Green Shed, we picked up this cache. We were fortunate that there were no muggles around. We love the Bellarine Rail Trail. We have made a few half-hearted attempts to find this before without any luck (we haven't considered a cursory five-minute look deserving of a DNF, as it was more of a did not look hard enough, as this is a D3 Bushfire cache). We had sufficient time today and were able to find the cache. The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache Bushfire.
As I was going past this area today I replaced the bison with a new log so all good for a while i hope.
A day's outing while staying at Bellbrae with Bogonghazy had us travel into Geelong where we jumped on the bikes to do a few of the rail trail series and finishing the day in Queenscliff.
This was another clever hide, thanks again Bushfire

I checked this cache out today and could not find the container so will disable until I get back out to replace or have a better look.
At last Mr SKI has found some searching form. Until now it is Mrs SKI and Rebel who have been on fire, but Mr SKI has finally come good!
At last we thought the weather was predictable enough to get out on the rail trail and chase some caches there. It was cool and overcast and quite windy, but few or no showers were forecast.
It was a tough day all the same. We always seemed to be going uphill when the wind was strongest, and some of the hides were truly challenging. There was the clever ones that truly had us thinking and then micros in the bush as well as some hidden in the undergrowth. There were of course others that were straightforward.
We began the day with 2 DNFs which did not auger well, one a D4 which simply did us in and the other we are maybe just blind.
All in all though it was quite an enjoyable day on the bikes and productive cache wise.

Started off hard and frustrating then my Cache eyes and instincts kicked in and boom a quick easy spot in the end less than 10 minutes TFTC

I noticed that this guy was or had a DNT after a long hunt, well on arrival today it was still in exactly the same location and log is dry and plenty of room so all good for a while.
It does have 38 DNF's so folk are struggling with this guy but I really don't know why.

Watched by a friendly magpie. They then burst into song when we found it. Different!
Continuing our ride along the Trail. Off into the bushes we go and SL at 10.38am #6942 TFTC Bushfire - think this is about where our luck at finding caches on the Trail ran out. Guess it gives us an excuse to visit again.
Found it when staying at Leopold, on a trip along the Rail Trail, during my motorcycle holiday in Australia. But today I preferred the bicycle.
TFTC. We extended our stay in geelong after the Saturday events to do more caches in the area. There was a gap of 4 green spots between the smilies on this section of the trail. We had resolved to rectify this during our stay.
Since the day we had booked the air tickets for our current geocaching holiday to Australia we had been looking forward to hiking and geocaching the Bellarine Rail Trail. We had arrived in the area two nights ago and so yesterday morning we had parked up in Drysdale and hiked to Queenscliffe then taken a taxi back to Drysdale at the end of the day. Today we once again left our hired cache-mobile in Drysdale and then took a taxi to Geelong - we then hiked back to Drysdale to complete the trail. Once again we throughly enjoyed the hike in some truly lovely Australian weather and of course we also found many geocaches, and so many thanks to the COs for having provided us with the opportunity to have enjoyed yet another great day out geocaching! Once at Ground Zero a methodical search revealed the cache after just a few minutes of searching. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
My last stop for the day - after order some lunch at the nearby shops I ducked out to hopefully find the cache at Wilsons Rd after a previous unsuccessful search. At which point I realised I didnt have any tools with me as I dont have my usual geovehicle, so I strolled down here instead. After a bit of poking around in the wrong spot I realigned myself and soon spotted the well camouflaged cache. Another one bites the dust, thanks again Bushfire!
This log is to tidy up a mess I made with GSAK . I forgot to apply the template so my finds were published with a nonsensical log.
Rather than try and edit all the logs I post this not with what the log should have been.
My apologies for the confusion caused.
A few days away with Freddo, e.gregory1 and The White Dog Gang.
Fun was had by all. Not too many dnfs
Most logs signed as FETT.
Thanks for all the caches.

Cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked.
Found on a short, post-Christmas sojourn to Victoria with Freddo, Team Waldron and thewhitedoggang that involved plenty of driving, cycling, walking and even some boating and wading.
The weather was on our side (albeit a little warm at times), which made for some great caching. There were plenty of varied finds, with some excellent and often tricky hides and and just a few DNFs. We signed most logbooks ‘F.E.T.T.’
Thanks Bushfire for the cache.

I notice that gridge98 placed the following log “In Geelong for the afternoon I had my bike so I thought I would attempt the G2Q trail but I had a lot of disluck with a large amount of DNFs. A maintenance run might be recommended especially on the first 20”.
I would suggest that he look a little harder before he places a log like that. I am doing that maintenance run but so far I have not found many problems.
This guy is exactly where I placed it and the log is fine for a while. Still just hanging around.

A quick search revealed the cache, but a slight moment of panic when I went to return the log to the container and couldn’t find it as I had shifted my angle. Also a random peg on a twig could have been the cache but alas, it’s a decoy people. Only a decoy.
After finding a cache nearby, walked down trail in the afternoon sun towards GZ. Took awhile to find the cache as I only looked in the bushes. TFTC!
What a wonder little cache, just waiting to be found and yet so many walk past every day. TFTC
LeeLee had the day to herself so she decided to grab the bike and make a start on G2Q trail.
A fresh morning but perfect for a ride.
Nice camo. A few options here just need to look the right way.
TFTC all in good order.

Out and about checking on some of my caches along the rail trail but all good on this one after a DNF the other day.
Good to turn a frown upside down. Didn’t take long to find today. TFTC. TB Visit
